SPEAKER_01

I'm doing well, ma'am. What about you? I'm good.

SPEAKER_00

I'm fantastic. Okay. Uh I am doing well. Yes. Sunday always comes with different vibes, a little bit free. Sorry, not free for homemakers. Occupied. I would say juggling a lot of uh things, but yes, enjoying my day.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, ma'am. Okay. So, ma'am, I think uh today uh means the today weather was not kotna in some state.

SPEAKER_00

Right, right. It as I just mentioned you mentioned you actually it was raining. It just uh I would say that now the sun is trying to peep through the clouds, it's still cloudy. I can't say it's a bright day, and just because it rained heavily, so my Wi-Fi is was not working, but somehow it started functioning again, so that's how I'm sitting here and connecting with you. Okay, so tell me tell me about yourself before we delve in our uh normal conversation.

SPEAKER_01

So, thank you, ma'am. Thank you so much for uh giving this opportunity and uh uh scheduled my session for me specially. And thank you so much for this. You're welcome. So yeah, so ma'am, my name is Suman, as you know that, and uh I am basically belong from Yopi, but uh recently currently I am living in Delhi with my family. Yeah, and um yeah, I am graduate and now I'm doing job in in Delhi.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, okay, fine. So you are working, yeah, yeah, ma'am.

SPEAKER_01

So that's why I mean could not be possible for uh uh get time for uh practicing. That is very difficult for me, miss. I mean you're working person who is working nowadays, uh and he's managed and he and she manage um as well as other type of work, just like a study and other type of work, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, exactly. You are talking about working professional. I tell you, I don't step out, I just conduct my sessions here only. Uh, then too, it becomes so so uh challenging for me to find time for myself to manage my chores and my sessions. Uh, but the thing is, uh life is all about hills and valleys, right? Uh, we need to do something, we cannot be just uh in our uh comfort zone. So, yes, we have to make do. I would suggest you, I think I mentioned uh in my uh messages also. Uh, I would strongly recommend you to join uh our WhatsApp group exclusively for women, and I am I'll make sure that you are going to level up your uh speaking and confidence because uh people are really doing exceptionally well. You can practice in that group as per your convenience. Okay, whenever you get time, maybe you are free for 10 minutes, five minutes, 15 minutes. You can ask people, let's have a conversation. It may be uh it might be an audio call or video call, right? So, in this way, you are going to get a lot of intermediate and advanced level speakers in our group, uh, and a lot of experts are there. So, I would strongly recommend you to join that very group.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, ma'am. I will join definitely you and uh that name is that ma'am name is yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Nowadays uh I watching lots of video videos on YouTube uh which are related to English language, just you and this Sunita, ma'am, also yes, actually, um we uh are homemakers and we know our restrictions, also we know our caliber and potential. So that's how this idea uh struck our mind that why uh not to go for such kind of uh groups where we can uh extend a helping hand to those women who want to practice and who want to practice in a safe and sound uh environment because that group is exclusively for women, there is uh no need to worry about uh getting your number leaked and all right. It's recording free group. Yes, if you want to record sessions for your YouTube, you can approach people personally. So we provide you a lot of uh uh speakers there where uh you can connect with them, you can uh enhance uh your speaking level, and uh you get uh video session twice a week. One session conducted by Sunita, and the second session session conducted by me. So she goes for uh speaking skills, all the tips and tricks, how to be rhythmic while speaking, because she is a mellow fluor speaker, I would say, and uh I'll help you to understand basic uh uh nuances of grammar and uh I'll level up your vocabulary. So that's how we are working as a team, and yes, touch wood, our group is uh growing tremendously. So, yes now tell me, do you have any question or any topic you want to discuss today?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, ma'am. I want to uh talk about social media topic.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, fine. Social media, fine, fine. So tell me what do you think? How would you define social media?

SPEAKER_01

Uh first of all, uh social media is a digital platform uh where we can uh share your thoughts and we can gathering the knowledge for as per your rec as per your requirement. But uh yeah, nowadays uh many platforms of social media just like as the telegram, Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, and Google, so so on. So ma'am, whenever whenever we discussed uh any type of talk, any type of topic. So, miss, what is the main important point we should uh point point point out?

SPEAKER_00

Okay, see, um it depends the kind of uh situation you are discussing, discussing that topic. Okay, now it's completely an informal situation, okay, where we are sitting, we are just having a normal interaction and we want to discuss certain things related with social media, so we can go as per our convenience. So, first of all, we should know what exactly social media is, right? And then because it is an informal situation, we can just uh pick up those points like how do I use social media, uh, what are the pros and cons of social media? But yes, if you are discussing in a formal setting or if you are participating in a debate kind of situation, then the scene or scenario will be different, right? Then you need to be very specific, okay? You need to uh be very creative with your thought process, and you have to hold to make that hold on your audience, okay? So then it should be in a sync, what social media is, how does it work, how can we utilize social media to make us more uh powerful in terms of uh technology, right? So it depends on the situation you are discussing any topic, right? Here we can just discuss very normal things uh as how I use social media and what are my point of points of view regarding this very uh thing or this very tool. Okay, so as I just asked you what exactly social media is, you just mentioned beautifully that it's a digital platform, of course, it's a digital platform, and I would say it's a closer group of uh people, right? It's a closal, huge group of people because, of course, we we participate in social media now. We uh if we talk about platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and whatnot, there are a lot of platforms, and because I am on social media, I am a content creator, I post my videos. So, what I have observed is that it's a closet group of people where whatever you do, some people will treat you with deference, and others are going to censure you. I mean, some people will treat you with respect, they will like you, but there will be a group of people who will criticize you, who will troll you. So you need to be mindful while uploading your stuff, and you need to be mentally strong and uh ready uh to take criticism, also. Okay, so that exactly social media is for me as a content creator and as a learner. I would say social mood media is a blessing for me, it has given me uh wings to fly.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, right.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, so tell me which sort of application you use if I talk about social media and all.

SPEAKER_01

I use uh many types of applications, just like it's Instagram, Facebook, and Telegram also. I use Telegram first means I study purpose. There are also uh also uh make uh many types of group, then I can join that for English English practicing only.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, okay, okay, fine. Yes, that's the very I mean you have a very positive approach uh towards social media because yes, uh it social media provides us a lot of different platforms where we can learn new skills, where we can polish our skills, right? But sometimes what I uh believe that when you get a lot of options, right, we end up perplexing ourselves. We uh actually we become a little bit confused between what to choose and what not to choose. When you get a lot of options, right? And in this in this conflict, sometimes we end up wasting our time and energy as well, sometimes money also, right? So we again we need to be very uh wise or mindful while choosing certain platforms, okay. So we should have uh we should have uh that uh pragmatic approach towards our learning. Okay, so what are the challenges, what are those challenges you think you are facing in terms of your speaking skills?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, ma'am. Actually, ma'am, nowadays I am facing lots of problems. Um whenever I go to for interview, also I lost uh uh I lost many type of opportunities regarding the job. So I stuck in sentences and words most of the cases.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, okay, it's very natural and it's not a big deal actually. I guess 95% of people are going through the same scenario, right? And the only and major reason is lack of environment. Lack of we don't have this environment, so uh we how to practice if if it uh comes that okay, I want to practice, but how to practice when no one speaks English around you? Okay, I can hear you, I can feel you because this it was the same situation in my case, so we need to create that environment around us, right? And cracking an interview is an uh I would say a tough it's a tough nut to crack because see if you want to get a job, job is all about getting a job, is all about cracking interviews, right? And cracking interviews are all about presenting yourself in English. You need to be fluent, right? You need to have good command over English. Sometimes, just because of this language, it doesn't matter how much skillful you are, right? In your English specific field, you are not able to express yourself and you don't get that opportunity, right? And there are some people who are good at presenting themselves, whether they uh have whether they don't know, uh I mean they are not expert in that very area or field, but they will get that opportunity. So, yes, I can feel that thing. That's why I uh am telling you that you need to surround yourself with those those people who communicate, who interact with each other in this language who can help you to level up your vocabulary and to boost your uh confidence. Okay, so you need to take a positive step towards this because um cracking interview can trouble you, yes ma'am. Yeah, so are you interacting with people as you are interacting with me? Are you taking more sessions like this? Yeah, ma'am. Yeah, I want to okay. Good, great. Just approach people, uh, write them uh through mails, right? And then you can have uh uh these kind of sessions apart from this. Try to go for uh have self-talking, habit of self-talking, okay. That can help you. That can help you try to record your solo videos, just see how uh are you able to articulate your thoughts nicely, and you know what? Uh you know that during your interview they are going to ask you about yourself, so be ready with your introduction, okay. Just practice your introduction daily, every day, every day. Okay, and uh the kind of I mean uh you I don't know which uh sort of field you work if you work in IT sector. So we have we have that idea that okay, they can ask me this thing, you know, they can ask me this thing, prepare in advance, okay? Just prepare a lot, yeah. That's what you can do. Okay, okay, ma'am, yeah. Yeah, okay, ma'am. That's what I can suggest you. Oh tell me, ma'am, anything else regarding what ask me.

SPEAKER_01

But ma'am, I think you are living you are living in Punjab.

SPEAKER_00

I hail from Imajal, but I live in Punjab that uh in Mhali. Okay. So ma'am, have you visited Amritsa Temple? Oh, that's an irony actually. I haven't visited Golden Temple yet, though when I was in my yes, when I was uh in college, uh we there would be trips, one-day trips to Golden Temple and Bhagavad Water. I don't know why and how I missed those trips, but uh still till date I haven't visited uh Golden Temple uh and Bhaga Water and Jaliya Wala Bhag. So, yes, destinations are in my bucket list. So let's see when and how I get a chance to visit these places. Uh, I live in Mojali, so here um a lot of places uh I mean there are a lot of things to visit, places uh if you talk about Chandigar, so Sukna Lake, Rock Garden, Rose Garden, uh lot of things are there. A lot of places are there. Uh, but to be very honest, I am not an uh traveling enthusiast. I love doing my work, I love to be in my shell only, so that's why I hardly I step out.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, so ma'am, uh you are taking session now, means uh you take session this regular basis, regular basis, yes, yes.

SPEAKER_00

I offer uh one-on-one sessions also, I offer group classes also, write batches also, and uh as I just mentioned, you uh WhatsApp group, I have created a WhatsApp group, and uh in that group, it's not that you just practice uh without any direction there. Sunita and I and a lot of other mentors are always there to guide you. Okay, uh, we provide you vocabulary rules, we provide you audio and video sessions. Uh, using those very sessions, you can work on your communication skills, and apart from that group, yes, uh of course I uh offer you one-on-one session and uh group classes also.

SPEAKER_01

Actually, I take a trial session from the English Yari.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Yeah, how was the experience?

SPEAKER_01

I think one yeah, one month one month ago I took okay. They they actually they uh miss tell I mean discuss only introduction part on that session.

SPEAKER_00

See, I would be very I would be very honest with you. Of course, English Yari is a very, very nice platform. Uh it's a hub of a lot of experts. Uh, but if you can afford, then only go for conversations. Okay. If you have some financial prices, then I would suggest you to go for some alternatives where you can get advo uh experts advice and you can get partners to practice with in an affordable price. That's I would I would recommend you, okay? Because I know I am I also belong to a middle class family. We know we can't afford all of money uh just uh to hand by communication skills, right? So if you cannot go for that, that's a wonderful platform. But yes, uh, now it's you need to think uh, or I mean you need to check whether you can afford or not, so yes, ma'am. So I I just had one session with uh Shuti Sharma ma'am the other day, yesterday only. So I was telling her that a lot of people come and ask me about your platform. So, in a way, I become your spokesperson. Though I have nothing to do with English, Yari. Still, people come and ask me, ma'am, is it good to choose English, Yari, or how to uh how to uh go for a subscription planner kind of.

SPEAKER_01

So, yeah, a lot of people ask me, but ma'am, there are there are the present very uh expert means very uh experienced expert. Of course they are because uh because I mean I uh watch the videos now related to English, are you so I lots I uh watch lots of videos and for getting something new, of course they are experts and they have uh experience.

SPEAKER_00

I believe more in experience rather than certificates. So for experienced, you don't really need to rely on certificates. That's what I believe. So, of course, they are experienced and they have that environment, they have their schooling in uh good schools, so that's why they are on English on the platform English, yeah. And um, but I can tell you that apart from that very platform, a lot of other people are there who are truly, truly uh eloquent speakers and they are proficient also. Uh a lot of women are there who are doing exceptionally well, right? So just go through those videos and you need to make a uh sagacious choice, I would say, because uh after all, we need to be financially or economically mindful. Right?

SPEAKER_01

When I I ma'am, I have a suggestion for you. I think you should also join join uh English Yari as a trainer. That's your love.

SPEAKER_00

I would take it as a huge compliment. Uh but Since I mean um you made my day by saying this, but I'm already taking or conducting sessions, right? Yeah, yeah. So I love I love preferring uh working on my own. I mean, I am on boss, okay? I consider myself a free word. I think I can under someone because I feel pressurized, right? I I have my own ethics, my own ways of working or dealing with my learners. So that's why I conduct my sessions and touchward by the grace of God, I'm doing uh quite well. I'm satisfied and happy, and uh I I pay my gratitude to all my uh people who support me, and of course, uh to the Supreme Power. So, but that was a nice uh nice thing. Okay, so now you can join as a part-time now, ma'am. You can join as a part-time, but I'm telling you, dear, I'm already snowed and I don't have time. See, it's Sunday, it's Sunday, and um, usually I don't conduct sessions on Sunday, but I have two more sessions after this. So this is how uh it's not easy to manage all the things. We have some plans because Raksha Vandan is around the corner. We have some plans to shop and go for uh raki shopping and all. So let's see. Uh, but Suman, see, I would again again see, I am not truly, truly, I am not uh advertising advertising my uh group, but I believe in women empowerment, okay, completely. I am uh I consider myself a big supporter of uh women, students, girls. So just uh join our WhatsApp group for one month. You are going to get benefited there for sure. You will not regret your decision, okay? Right. So that's what I can suggest to you. I truly want to help you. Okay, so ma'am, after one month, I will have to pay again 500 rupees. Yes, that it's a minimum contribution, sweetheart. 500 is a minimum contribution, right? Okay, okay. So just uh try. Okay, uh, I mean, give it a shot, you will be happy because uh, in just rupees 500, you don't know what all the benefits you are going to unlock there. Okay, yes, ma'am. So that's what you can do, and now I have to wrap this session because my next learner is waiting for me. But it was a very nice and lovely session with you. You made my day with your sweet smile and uh cute gestures. Hope to see you in my group. Okay, I truly want to be there. Yeah, yeah, sure, ma'am. Uh, I truly want you to be there. Okay, and I'm always there to support you, okay? Okay, ma'am. Yeah, okay, dear. Bye bye, ma'am. Nice day. Bye, ma'am. Thank you, ma'am.

SPEAKER_01

Thank you so much.

SPEAKER_00

You're welcome.
