SPEAKER_00

Good as well. Okay. Anything special today?

SPEAKER_01

Yes, you are sitting in front of me. That's a special for me.

SPEAKER_00

Awesome. All right, Neha. So how has the past one week been? Did we meet last week or before that? I guess last week. Okay, so how has the past one week been? Productive, efficient, just drooled away?

SPEAKER_01

Yes, yes, I would say productive. Um, because I don't uh want anything uh ruin my uh productivity. So yes, and these days it's all about my sessions, classes. I am too occupied with my English YAI sessions, and if I get time, I try to add certain uh new expressions to my vocabulary. I uh yes, I have started writing. Yes, because I feel that I am not good at spelling while writing, I just uh forget spellings because I'm not into writing, I hardly write anything. So, and sometimes I wonder why am I doing these things? I mean, I can just enjoy.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, yes, but you know the thing is we are our biggest critiques, yes, so it has to come from within. Somebody else telling us to improve or showing us better ways to do things, we may not really be interested. Yes, instead, we would want that longing to come from within us. Yes, that let us get ourselves better, let us make ourselves better. And uh just yesterday I spoke to another uh learner of mine who is also uh who also has a YouTube channel of her own, and she is also a writer. So and we discussed so much about uh, so she has been a content writer earlier, and we had this discussion about how when you write about imaginative character and stories, it's a part, it's a figment of your imagination, but you do have to delve deep into the character. So I could only speak from the other side of the table as a reader, and I wanted to know from her as a writer. So I firstly want to know what exactly do you write when you practice?

SPEAKER_01

What is it that you okay? I have nothing to do with uh writing uh officially. I mean, I yes, it's all about generally I try to practice writing, maybe any story uh or anything. Uh, I I am into writing motivational quotes. So, yes, I ask Google to provide me certain quotes and I write them, and I love uh those beautiful uh sparkle colors. So I never use blue pen, simple blue pen. I just add different colors to my diary so that whenever I go through that diary, it is always uh so fascinating or attractive. So, yes, that's how I try to add certain new things to my teaching.

SPEAKER_00

Right. Uh uh reading. Are you a voracious reader? Do you enjoy reading?

SPEAKER_01

I wish I could read uh in that manner that I could say that okay, I'm an avid reader, I uh love reading again. I have a collection of good books. I have read Who Will Cry When You Die, and um and uh these days I'm reading the monk who sold his Ferrari, but I don't really get dying, and you know what, I easily get distracted while reading. But the thing is, um, I try reading anything again. I go to Google, I try to find certain stories, and I just read uh those stories. So, yes, because being a homemaker, I truly I'm all I'm always uh on my toes. Hardly I get time to just sit on the couch and maybe to watch anything.

SPEAKER_00

Now I have nothing to do one day. You should have only to veg out. Today I'm going to just actually vegetable.

SPEAKER_01

I truly uh need this, but again, that urge, that burning desire to do something, to do productive, to make your day more constructive. Uh, this doesn't uh let me sit idle or again. Um I I I have to learn this art of idleness. I guess this is also a beautiful aspect.

SPEAKER_00

Important, it's very, very important. And uh tell you Neha, I can't agree more with you on this. And my sister and I we keep gribing about it to our mom because we have seen her in this way. Yes, as immediately, as soon as we just sit quietly, there is a sense of guilt. I'm not I'm just sitting. Why am I not doing anything? Can I make use of this time? And thank God for my husband because he has hammered it into me. It's like it's okay, you don't always have to just keep doing something or thinking about what to do next. Not how you're supposed to function.

SPEAKER_01

Actually, actually, I would say I I generally use this idiom for myself that I always have uh ants in my pack. I can't I can't sit nicely, quietly. Even sometimes my mind works so fast, so tirelessly, that I'm not able to sleep nicely. I I hardly get that sound sleep. I'm just planning for the next day, but I have to do right. So I chance are you a Virgo? Uh I can't, but I think yes, because that kind of person I'm growing into, I can say that.

SPEAKER_00

Very close to a Virgo. Yes, because my sunsign is Virgo, and I generally and it okay, okay.

SPEAKER_01

Sorry, sorry. I got it Virgo, Virgo Holic. Okay, Virgo, no, no, no, no, no, no, sorry. I I got it uh incorrect.

SPEAKER_00

Believe me, you will find it very funny because they are so relatable, and of course, there are a few uh characteristics, new features, behavioral patterns, which you will find commonly in four or five sun signs. That is okay, okay, but then there will definitely be at least three or four such qualities which are mostly restricted to particular sun signs. So, this part where you speak about planning for the next day, so that actually gives a lot of peace and calm to Virgos. Okay. When we want to calm our minds down, we try to organize things which we are going to do in the future. So that's the way with calming ourselves, calming our nerves. So that is why I asked, are you awoke?

SPEAKER_01

I tell you, uh, yes, I'm not into my I'm not much into sun science, but yes, I do believe in uh those birth numbers, or so my my number is yes, yes. So uh my um eight number is ruled by Saturn. Okay, so now it's in me. I need to work hard. I can't, I can't just imagine anything in that golden platter. I cannot have that. Okay, second thing, uh, the person with eight number, they are very hard worker, hardworking, diligent, right? And um we can't uh think of any uh you know uh any sort of dishonesty or anything. I mean, we can't think of tricking people.

SPEAKER_00

We can't be shrewd.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, we can't be shrewd, okay? Because Sunny is known for uh his conscientious and uh you know he's very strict with certain rules and regulations. So, yes, that's what I follow. So I mean, I I can relate with these features, but yes, uh I I don't really, I don't think so. I read those sun uh signs, those predictions. So I can relate more with the numbers, right?

SPEAKER_00

Right. No, see so do I. See, you know what? As long as you treat them as something that brings entertainment to you, yes, it's good enough. I think it's fun to read, to share it with your near and dear ones and make a joke out of it, and we're like, okay, now we know why you're like this, right? As long as it's like that, it's okay. I think it becomes a problem when we start taking decisions, life decisions, and starting to uh our uh moods start revolving around what we have read about the sign. Yes, I think that is uh when it becomes problematic.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly, exactly. I yes, I'm very practical when it comes to certain things in life. Though I uh consider myself a sensitive and emotional person, at the very same time I'm practical enough, okay, and I don't think so. Um any anything can uh rule me in terms of maybe uh these astrological stuff, right? Now maybe I'm at that age of or stage of my life that I have lived uh a life. I can't say a life, I'm still 41.

SPEAKER_00

Whatever you have lived so far, it has given you a lot of experience.

SPEAKER_01

Lot of experience, yes. And I believe in uh spirituality. I uh I think we can uh we can actually we if we are uh true or true to true to ourselves only, okay. Uh I don't believe in pretending. Right? So if we are true to ourselves, we are not uh hurting anyone with our words or actions, okay. And uh then we are we can get anything in life with hard work and uh with your again that uh honesty and I would say conscientious, the nature, the kind of person you are, right? So it's all about being a good human being, very so that's it. I I don't really when I when we talk about spirituality, so people say I worship twice a day, I sit in front of my temple and I maybe dedicate half an hour or one hour. I truly don't get uh time uh to sit there, but for me, spirituality is all about uh being honest to yourself, and actually, it's all about uh having empathy, right? And you need to be human, you need to value humanity. So if you have these things, uh these realizations, qualities, these qualities, huh?

SPEAKER_00

These qualities, so yes, so you don't have to be a high flyer, you don't have to achieve uh things which are going to put others on track. That is that is your life's motto. Put yourself on track, I think that is and if any, then your kids. I think they are your sole responsibility. Rest, you're not responsible for anybody else in this world, right? And uh you know, when you spoke about uh how there is always this burning desire to do something new or to get better at what you currently are, so that just reminded me. I recently saw a short clip, it was like a reel, okay, uh of a press conference in which uh Shafali Shaha, if you know she was uh answering a question put up by a journalist, and she said, one of my friends told me that once you turn 40, there's going to be a switch. A switch will go off. And she said, a switch actually went off because that from that day onwards I felt I don't care what people think about.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. Exactly.

SPEAKER_00

She said, What happens when you touch 50 is completely different because here you come to a point where you just feel I am running out of time, I have to do everything. There is so much I have to do, and time is running out. And you know, it is so good when you hear things like these because you feel okay, I'm not the only one. It might sound like a very simple thing, but I don't care what the world thinks about me, but the way it has been put across, it sounds so relatable. Yes, actually it is. It is so much of that. When you said that uh, you know, there is this urge that I want to do something, so I said that part that is partly because we also feel that okay, half of our life has already we have lived, and the other half is remaining. Yes, now the other half is something which we have to make the most out of.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly, right? That's is I guess this is the beauty of life, right? So if I go back to my uh those days when I was a teenager, we are so vulnerable towards people's opinions and judgments, it's all about peacocking and you know trying to get it trying to impress other people. Uh, but now it I don't really care. I don't truly, truly, anyone if if people come to me, they try to demean me or belittle me, I don't pay attention. I mean, I play a deaf ear towards that uh I would say harsh criticism. I don't let anyone spoil again my peace of mind. Now my priority, my priority is my mental peace. That's it. I am stronger in terms of uh uh emotional uh again strength, right? So, yes, sometimes I think that uh why uh why don't we have this realization when we are teenagers? This should be there because now I am strong enough to deal with any kind of that. That is the irony, yes, that is the irony.

SPEAKER_00

If you look at it, we want to enjoy everything when we don't have the money. Yes, once we actually have the money, we shortlist and filter half of the stuff. What is the need of going what new we are going to see over here? It's the same old, so half of the places are filtered. And I was just telling my husband, I was like, this is so unfair. We don't have the money when we actually have that complete excitement to see everything new. Right? Right. Um the other thing that I was talking about is when I look at these teenagers, not exactly teenagers, but even the ones in their early 20s, probably they've just passed out of their graduates or they have started a job or doing their masters, something like that. And I see how they dress up, how they behave, especially the girls. Unfortunately, especially the girls. Because in the way they uh carry themselves, in the way they uh want to portray themselves, there uh you know, the vulnerability, as you said, and the insecurity. It's terrible. It is you get the vibes out of them, and you know, at that point, I have a daughter, she's 10, and it just gives me goosebumps because I I feel I have to prepare her in such a way that she should be least concerned about these things. Yes, the world does not run on this, exactly. Don't try to be the fuel for that.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god, truly, truly. I mean, how to tell you how relatable it is because my son he studies in 11 and now he's going through that phase where children suddenly they become so conscious about their looks, puberty, yes, yes. So I keep on telling him that don't bother much about these things, just just accept yourself the way you are and proud of yourself. That should be the approach, yes, and these things really don't matter. So, but again, again, as you just mentioned, that it is irony of life, and I can feel that because I am now. If I uh look back, there were days when I used uh when I would uh you know I would love to wear certain colors, certain uh sort of attires. Now I can afford all everything, but I don't want to.

SPEAKER_00

The interest, the urge, the excitement, all of that has diminished.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. Exactly.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, fine. I mean, whichever way it goes, and uh, you know, uh, my husband and I we have this discussion a lot of times when he tries to uh explain things uh to our daughter that you know you do this, then this will happen, and then this will. I said, listen, she's not going to learn our lessons, she's going to make her mistake. At most, we can tell her that listen, this is wrong and be there for her when she falls. Exactly. Because she will, she goddamn bloody well will. Right. At that point, you need to be there. That's all we can do as parents, right? She's going to make her mistake. She's I said, how many times did our parents tell us don't do this? We heard we listened to that. Yes, we did it. Exactly. I said, so let's just give her give her an open playground. Go ahead, do it. At least she will not have to hide it.

SPEAKER_02

Right.

SPEAKER_00

So a lot of things we have uh sort of bettered from uh than our parents, yeah. So I always say that our generation is uh never enough, it was not enough for the parents, it is never enough for the kids.

SPEAKER_01

True, keep molding ourselves as per the requirements, as per the requirements, true that, true that I can, I mean I see eye to eye, whatever you said, it is true, and uh oh my god, uh what a conversation it was. I mean, I just loved it. Meet the kindered soul, actually, yes, right?

SPEAKER_00

Okay, so we'll take a couple of more questions, uh, mostly related to opinions, and uh then we'll go on to the final feedback. So, like there's nothing in the feedback but uh because it's a part of the session, yes, so we'll go on that. All right, so uh you told about quotes that uh so recently if you've written any quote which uh uh has which holds special, okay.

SPEAKER_01

There are uh yes, there are two to three. Uh, one is the uh growth happens when you come out of your comfort zone, okay. And the second one, which I truly believe that be the wish, uh be the change you wish to see. Yes, so it that's what I follow. I never uh give any suggestion uh to anyone because I know if I want to see any change, maybe in society or in people, I can't change people, I can't change their mindset. So better to work on yourself, okay? Uh better to set an example so that people can follow you rather than just you know, oh I mean, it's all about action speaks what you preach, but huh? Practice what you preach, and uh yes, uh, then comes my favorite one. Um, if you don't act on your life, life has a habit of acting on you. And this is from again Robin Shermaz, who will cry when you die. So, yes, yes, I truly believe.

SPEAKER_00

I think you can also uh like the one which says uh charity begins at home. Yes, that uh whatever change you want to see, it has to come from within. Yes, yes, and once you change yourself, then automatically you'll feel okay, the world is a better place now. Exactly.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, okay.

SPEAKER_00

So uh tell me if you have to tell one innate quality, you know, something that you feel you are born with, you never had to really work hard for it. Okay, okay, it automatically came. And let's uh talk about a positive quality at here.

SPEAKER_01

I think I'm good at uh reading people, I would say I can read people. I I of course I can read my son like a book, but yes, I have that innate quality to understand to get their vibes, and I'm good at uh convincing people. I have that gift of the gap, I I am sure about that.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, so and have you ever put this to practice because of which you are sure about it?

SPEAKER_01

Actually, because see, I conduct online sessions, I deal with a lot of people, lot of people, right? So uh again, teaching comes later, it's all about convincing them. Yes, I'm not saying that I convince them to come and join me, but I try to tell them to believe in themselves because that's what they lack. They don't believe in themselves, they come with a lot of questions. Even I guess after this session, I'll be checking those WhatsApp messages and I'll be you know replying back, replying to them. So, yes, uh, when it comes to learning this language, people have that tendency to ask questions, they just want to learn this language by asking questions, by searching for tips and tricks, right? So I tell them, come out, yes, these questions and start practicing. Actually, they don't start practicing, they are always how to, why it is. I mean, a lot of questions, so right?

SPEAKER_00

So, yes, they feel they are going to actually master the language just by knowing the answers, knowing the answers, that's the thing. So, yes, right, and uh Niha, you said that you always look for something or the other, right? In yourself, you try to push yourself, look for something new, exciting. Still, do you ever feel that you know what, this quality of mine is a little underutilized? I think I could do a little bit more with this quality. So, what will that quality be?

SPEAKER_01

Uh again. I think uh it would it is my uh teaching profession if I can if I relate it with my teaching profession. Uh when I completed my education, I could appear for certain competitive exams, which I didn't. And yes, I uh I I have that sense of uh you know regret or uh but now no more because what I believe that I we can't uh undo our past. So now I can just take a lesson. That's why I feel so restless. I just want to achieve so many things, I want to do something, and I'm already doing that. I know still, maybe that is the reason because uh I could not do something in my life, so now I'm trying to feeling of satisfaction is not there, you still feel okay a little bit more, more, more a little bit more, yes. But but now again, as I mentioned, that now I'm into spirituality, so I try to be in the present moment, right? I try to make the most of uh what I have, and I try to be in that zone of uh contentment. So, yes, that's what I am trying uh to adapt, easier said than done, right? Uh, but still, I think I'm halfway there.

SPEAKER_00

You need to start somewhere, yes, right? And if you've started, I think you've done because the first step is the most difficult one. Lest you're able to take it easily, yes, right? Okay, Neha. So, as I said, I don't have much for as far as the feedback goes, other than that, uh, I really enjoyed the session. There were so many things, it was almost like you took words out of my mouth and thoughts out of my head. Okay. Yes, it's always great to meet somebody who is on the same level intellectually, conversation-wise, and seeing eye to eye. I think that matters a lot. Right? Uh, just a couple of places. I know you'll be able to make out get out better words. For example, sleep nicely. After that, you said sound sleep. Your yourself. So you're instead of nicely, we could have said properly.

SPEAKER_01

Properly. Okay, yes.

SPEAKER_00

Um, the pronunciation of criticism. Okay. So you shouldn't say criticism.

SPEAKER_01

Uh criticism. Hmm. Sometimes, yes, I maybe only criticism, and there is one more word. I I know that. Yes, I need to work on uh it's schism, but I just pronounce it schism. Just skip that whole sound.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, the other one was matter, okay.

SPEAKER_01

Matter.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, the a sound went a little a okay, so nothing uh great. All right, okay, Neha. So with that, we'll end the session, and it was a great session. Thank you so much for joining.

SPEAKER_01

Hoping to see you so much. Thank you so much. And in our next session, I want you to provide certain uh uh new expressions.

SPEAKER_00

We'll be discussing certain vocabulary words because I am into vocabulary, adding new idioms and phrases, and I know uh I am asking for told me before, like in the beginning of the session, we could have actually just written in the chat box.

SPEAKER_01

But I enjoyed it, I I enjoyed it. Uh, we can do this activity in our next session. Absolutely. Okay, thank you so much. Bye bye.
