SPEAKER_01

One more time ask why the Clarity Act needs to be passed.

SPEAKER_11

What does it what does it do? Yeah, the Clarity Act creates a a national body to govern crypto in the US. So a singular entity, which will be the CFTC. It's a big deal because if you're, as you know, the the big banks and the asset managers are tokenizing assets and want to build stable coin rails, if they have to be subject to state regulations or local regulators, it is gonna give a lot of people cold. But are they for it or they're against it? Uh it's many of the asset managers are for it.

SPEAKER_14

Charles Schwab, Franklin Temp, digital because this is uh, and I forgive me if I don't have my years exactly right. I believe the SEC was created in 1934, I think, ish. This is a 1934 type moment. And the reason the SEC was created is because state regulators, you might have one rule in Indiana and another rule in Virginia, and investors are like, I can't manage both these rules. Bitcoin is having all crypto, is having that 1934 type moment, right?

SPEAKER_11

Exactly. And in addition, crypto is because it's turning money into software, a lot of things can turn into money. Loyalty points, reputation. Then you want a governing body to oversee all this. Now, Japan, Russia, Europe are actually passing Clarity Act-like bills. So the US is risking getting behind. That's why I think crypto is recovering because outside the US it's being embraced. Even though you say you actually think, look, they had what, a few legislative days left before the for the midterms. Could this be a lame duck kind of move, do you think? Uh well, I believe there's still many people who are hopeful that something can be offered. But it does sound like that a lot of concessions were given, but that those who oppose the bill still want to extract something else. And so some anything could happen.

SPEAKER_14

All right.

SPEAKER_10

Tom Lee, really appreciate your time. Good morning, everybody. Hello, and welcome back to another episode of your favorite crypto news related channel. And we've got some massive updates in regards to the Clarity Act that every single one of our listeners needs to be aware of. Now, as I'm scrolling on social media this morning, Johnny, I think there's a lot of misconceptions about the Clarity Act talks that are happening behind the scenes. My DMs are flooded. And let me say that again, flooded with people who think there is no chance that we get the Clarity Act here in the summer of 2026. Well, once again, I'm going to be providing the opposite end of that argument, starting with this brand new report out of Brendan Peterson, somebody who's been very anti-Clarity Act. He stated, Senator Galago, the Democratic representative out of Arizona, Johnny, who's been responsible for the majority of these negotiations with Republicans, he says tonight he's got no update on the ethics deal, but legislators are finalizing a text and they're trying to send bipartisan text to the White House in the next couple of days. So what does that mean? Democrats and Republicans are working together behind the scenes right now in Washington, D.C. in order to send a new proposal on the ethics issue to the White House all before the vote takes place next week. Now, if you caught our afternoon update yesterday, you guys will know that the Senate is doing everything they can to get the Clarity Act on the docket over the next 14 days. Because if it doesn't get done, Johnny, not only does it fall into oblivion, it dies a brutal death. Now, there's many different details that our listeners need to be aware of. Number one, what's the current status of the Clarity Act? We're going to be providing those updates. But also, what is President Trump's black swan move? Do we want the most dramatic set of circumstances possible? If we do, Johnny Crypto, President Trump could make the Senate stay during their August recess and at least vote on the Save Act and the Clarity Act. Now, it doesn't mean those will bills will be passed, but it means that the odds are now in favor of those bills getting across the finish line because a lot of these Democrats, they don't want to be viewed as the anti-crypto politician. Although Elizabeth Warren would make us feel differently if you observe her thoughts and actions, guys. But we're only three minutes into the program. We've got over 1,000 live listeners here joining us. If you're excited for this update, smash that like button. Help us pass 589 likes on today's program. And you know the deal here. We handcuff Johnny to the chair and we stick around for a little bit of overtime during today's episode. Now, Johnny, I'm going to be getting into a lot of fundamental updates. I got a lot of brand new videos, but I wanted to get your context at the beginning of the show as well. Love to hear your broader thoughts. And what do all these updates mean to you, Democrats and Senators working to bring this new proposal to the White House this week?

SPEAKER_08

Absolutely. Good morning to all the cryptomaniacs out there. Loving it. Appreciate you guys showing up every day. Best chat in the world. You know, Abs at the end of the day, I think the Senate realizes or Congress realizes just how important it's. I mean, we got Russia that's maybe potentially, you know, getting ahead of them, getting in messages all about that too. So the reality is America has to finally, these congressmen have to realize they have to put America first. And frankly, I actually hope if Trump if they don't pass it, I hope Trump cancels their vacations as to go back to the drawing board and figure this out and get it done because it's that important for America, absolutely. I mean, you heard the video. These guys are literally talking about we're having a 1934 moment. Do you realize how critical that is? Do you understand we haven't had an innovation this critical that we've had to you know that dates all the way back to 1934 that we literally have to go back to the drawing board and figure out how do we create the proper rules and laws around it? That's how significant this is, my friend. That we're literally figuring out we have to change, we have to put new systems in place. So to me, right now, I you know, I think the congressmen understand how important this is. I think you're right when you say I think there's a certain subset of Democrats that don't want to be known as the anti-crypto thing, because I think that's going to be used against them in the election cycle. So I think they'd be very, very worried about it. So I do think because of that, and because of the pressure I mean, President Trump's putting on, and I hope he does invoke the the, you know, cancel their recess if he needs to clause to get this thing going. But I just can't help but think like these guys understand that we are it's that important, and that's why they're spending thousands of dollars. Because abs, the other options, Democrats could have just walked away. They literally could have just said, you know, we're not voting on this, we don't, we're not, don't even bring the floor because you can't it's we're gonna kill it, we're gonna vote against it. But you have a good subset of Democrats saying, hey, we want to make this work. Give us something so we can vote on this, that we can feel good about it, that we can pass it. And I think if we can get the law that Novengrats talked about yesterday with some compromise where the AGs can sue the VOJ, maybe at least at that point, that'll give the Democrats enough to get those seven, eight, nine, ten Democrats we need across the line because we literally are at a 1934 moment. We've been talking about how the you know, the whole um uh the Orange Grove Act, I forgot what the name of it was, the 1944 room. That doesn't apply to this. That's how that's how big this is that we need new rules. And I can't help but feel we're on the cusp of getting them. And these seven or eight congressmen, they could go down in history as actually putting this thing on the map. That's something you can go around and an election cycle and be proud about.

SPEAKER_10

So I'm still exactly we're gonna show our listeners exactly what senators we need to be watching from the Democratic Party in order to get this across the finish line. And Johnny, there's been a lot of negative headlines about people not thinking we're gonna get the Democratic support. I've got a brand new video from a Democratic senator saying his biggest concern right now is that there's a lot of pro-crypto Democrats who may ultimately end up voting in favor of this bill. And although we've taken the other approach, are we gonna get the 10 Democrats that are necessary? He stated directly he was very concerned that it only took seven Democrats to get this across the finish line because he thinks there are seven Democrats that are pro-crypto politicians. So we're gonna be breaking that down next, guys. But I wanted to show you this brand new update out of Fox Business from earlier this morning. And what they're talking about is the imminence of the Clarity Act. Yes, our channel is discussing this every day, but if you're watching the mainstream media, Johnny, Fox Business, CNBC, all of these different mainstream media outlets are talking about the possibility that the Clarity Act will get across the finish line here in the summer of 2026. And Johnny, you had referenced it prior. Russia actually passed their pivotal legislation earlier today. And I said, if the Clarity Act doesn't pass in the United States, Russia just passed the United States in crypto innovation. Let that sink in. But guys, we already got 1,500 live listeners, almost past 300 likes on the program. If you want some overtime, smash that like button. Help us pass 589 likes, and we got a standard. We tie Johnny to the chair. He sticks around for some OT. Here's the brand new clip from Fox.

SPEAKER_09

Well, I think it's common sense that we move forward. And this is about the future currency in the world and making sure that American markets are the premier markets in the world. Uh, this is how we attract the capital necessary to grow our economy. And the great thing about clarity, digital assets, blockchain, whatever you want to call it, is it speeds up transactions and reduces costs. That's what everyone should be looking for in the most common sense way. And I gotta admit, as a House member, we're incredibly frustrated. We finally passed a bill that says no longer can congressmen buy stocks. We passed a bill that says only Americans vote in American elections. We passed a bill that says that you should show voter ID, and the Senate kind of sits on their hands. And this is why a lot of us are saying the filibuster rule is outdated, and we need to allow the votes to finally take place because when you allow the filibuster to hold, what that means is that the verdict of the 2024 election is nullified because Democrats will simply play politics, abuse this privilege of delay, and deny the American voter what they want, which is, again, voter ID, Americans only. And it's like the Clarity Act, which helped grow the American economy. We've already seen trillions of dollars come into America because they realize this government actually wants to see business growth as opposed to the previous administration. Clarity will allow us to make sure that we are the center of the action on digital assets, the blockchain, or the internet in general. That's what we're focused on. And we hope the Senate will finally get on board and really energize this economy even further.

SPEAKER_10

Well, Johnny, I think this is really a binary decision as well, because if the United States doesn't get the Clarity Act signed, all these companies are gonna move to friend, crypto-friendly jurisdictions. And we even heard Coinbase say this. They said, What are you gonna do, Brian Armstrong, if Clarity doesn't get across the finish line? And he prefaced it by saying, ultimately, I think it will get done. But if not, we're gonna look for offshore solutions in order to work around the anti-crypto policy that's surviving and thriving here inside the United States. And I think our listeners probably understand this better than any other crypto program because we've dedicated so much time to this research, Johnny. But there was another clip from this exact same senator. This one's only 35 seconds long, but he's talking about what's the agenda here? Here it is.

SPEAKER_07

The Democrats, I think, are starting to think we we don't want to give a win. Uh we we want to continue to push back. There's been a a negotiator, a negotiator on ethics language, which uh seems very commonsensical. Um the agriculture committee and the banking committee have come together on a on a common text. So we need to get this to the floor and vote on it. And if the Democrats are gonna oppose it, we need to get them on the record. I think it should be. Uh, this is this is you know, we got two weeks left, and we got to move fast.

SPEAKER_10

Time So there you have it, Johnny. Not only did they have to move fast, we got another brand new update that we're gonna be showing our listeners from a Coinbase representative where he says August 3rd is what they're setting an eye on. And here's where it gets interesting. I'm gonna skip to the portion of the clip that our listeners will find important. What he said is he spoke directly to Senator Thune's campaign. So this is very important because Thune is responsible for calling Congress to vote on this issue. And according to his campaign, it will happen in the next week or so. Here's the brand new clip.

SPEAKER_13

If it will play, let's see. That much democratic priorities. So this bill is an extraordinarily bipartisan piece of work. It's ready for final action. We're very excited that it's going to get done. I do want to say one thing. Leader Thune did say, expressed some skepticism about getting done a number of the issues that he's got teed up for floor action before August. Uh, his commitment to getting the Clarity Act, I think, done before August remains. Uh, I've talked to his office and uh we're hopeful that will happen. I think we'll have a vote as early as uh Monday of next week, and then we'll be able to get it done and hopefully uh let the Senate go back uh for the August recess with an important bipartisan win under their belt.

SPEAKER_10

So, Johnny, we talked about this yesterday. If they don't end up holding a Clarity Act vote, there is a move that President Trump can make where he can have Congress stay for their recess and at least vote on the bill. And the reason that that would work in favor of people like us who believe that the Clarity Act will be signed into law is because a lot of these Democrats, they don't want to be placing their official anti-crypto vote before November because there's a lot of moderates, there's a lot of Democrats out there who own Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, or even watch our channel. And so it's not this partisan issue where it's like, if you're anti-crypto, that's gonna work in favor of a lot of voters. This isn't 2021. This isn't even 2024, it is 2026, and we know the game plan here. Everything's going digital. All of these large banks are moving into blockchain products, and there's more evidence than ever that the largest companies in America are not only supporting the Clarity Act, Johnny, they're adopting the blockchain products that we've been discussing. BlackRock, Charles Schwab, Fidelity, Goldman Sachs, Franklin Templeton, and Grayscale. That is a combined $30 trillion in assets that are now backing the Clarity Act. And BlackRock put out some definitive statements yesterday. I covered these already, so I'll keep it real brief. But the BlackRock official here, it is the senior managing director and global head of market development, said that the Clarity Act needs to get done, as it's the first step towards establishing a regulatory framework for digital assets that will put investors first. And she stated that the bill would help the United States shape the next era of market structure, supporting innovation while preserving transparency, resilience, and investor protections that keep America the you the leader here inside of the United States. But the warning was the more important part. BlackRock also warned that Asian countries will try to bypass the United States in crypto by passing their own versions of the Clarity Act while we're sitting on our hands and wasting time here inside of the United States, guys. But I want to hear from you. One's in chat if you believe we will see a Clarity Act vote before the August recess. Two's in chat if you think they are not going to be addressing this bill. But Johnny, taking all this new information into account, where's your head at on these issues?

SPEAKER_08

Well, it's funny, you actually say that other countries will pass. No, they already have. The UK has already passed, and Dubai has already passed. We're already falling behind the curve. So that's where my mind is at. I'm actually a little aggravated and pissed off that as the US, we are supposed to, you know, I the abs, I grew up in technology. My whole career, 30 years has been in technology. We were always the leader.

SPEAKER_10

I just got breaking news. Senator Thune, and I'm so sorry, Johnny Crypto. Go for it. Breaking news out of Fox business. This has just been confirmed 45 seconds ago. Senate Majority Leader Thune confirms that the Clarity Act will receive a Senate vote before the August recess. Speaking on Fox, soon said that Russia's sanctions remain the top priority, but confirmed lawmakers will move forward with a Clarity Act vote, adding that he hopes the Democrats will provide the support that's needed to get this historic legislation across the finish line. I'm reading directly from a report in the background, Johnny. Floor is yours, and then I'll play the video.

SPEAKER_08

It's beautiful. It's exactly what I want to hear because now what that does is it puts every single Democrat on notice. Now they basically know, like, oh shit, now we got to go on record. And it's gonna get put on record. And there's a reason. I mean, there was no doubt in my mind that they weren't gonna. I told you yesterday it was 99.9% chance he'll put it to vote. I don't know if it's gonna pass, but he's gonna put it to vote because he has to get the Democrats on record, either one way or the other, saying, hey, you guys are gonna pass this thing, and we're all gonna be able to go to the election cycle and say, hey, you know, they're all gonna steal credit, right? The Democrats are gonna say they made it happen, the Rubens are gonna say they made it happen, and that's fine. And it's a good thing for all of us as Americans and crypto investors. If it doesn't happen, then the narrative is gonna shift and they're gonna be able to say, hey, you know what? We try to get this thing, we try to put America first, and these Democrats, they slaughter you'll see probably ad campaigns about that too, I would imagine. Because what's there, 60, 70 million people in the US that are invested in this space? No, by the way, I don't know if you know, you can add another company to that list, eTrade just today. I just got another picture I logged into my account and said, Oh, by the way, you can add crypto as of today. So eTrade, which is another big brokerage firm, just added crypto trading to their platform. So you can see, abs, it's it's it's happening, it's coming. And it's smart on Toon's part to put this thing to a vote, force them to come to the table and put something on. And if it fails, then here's what I would do. If I was the president, I'd take it a step further. I wouldn't have stopped that. I'd say, okay, your recess is canceled. Go back to work and figure out how you get this thing passed. Because what which one of these guys are gonna not want the recess? So maybe that puts even more pressure on them to figure it out, but we'll see. But um, kudos to Thune. It's the right thing to put this thing on the table and get everybody on the record.

SPEAKER_10

Well, guys, I'm dealing with a little tech issue in the background. I'm working on getting that fixed, but I think the audio should be coming in clear on this, Johnny. I just want to test it. Give me a thumbs up. Here's three seconds. Can you hear the audio on that? No, no, no audio. All right, guys. I'm gonna get that fixed in the background, but I can read you the breaking news update again. What we're gonna be playing right here as I'm getting logged into the X account, Senate Majority Leader Thune confirms the Clarity Act will receive a Senate vote before the August recess. And Johnny, we've shared these thoughts time and time again on this program that this is 99% of the of what's necessary to get it across the finish line. If there wasn't going to be a Senate vote, that would make this process impossible, obviously, right? That's that's a very obvious thing to say. But there's a lot of people out there who didn't think it was possible to get the Senate to vote on this issue before they head home for the August recess. And you guys can tell, as we're going to be breaking down right now, they are reporting there will be a vote. And this comes on the back of the breaking news that we showed you at the beginning of today's show, which is Senator Galago, the Democratic representative out of Arizona, says there's no official update, but legislators are finalizing text and they're trying to send a bipartisan text to the White House in the next couple of days. So this is a massive, massive update, Johnny Crypto. That we are breaking down live here on Good Evening Crypto. And we're gonna be playing that brand new video as I get it loaded in the background, guys. But if you're excited and you enjoy this content, smash that like button and leave some of your thoughts underneath the video. We already passed 427 likes. You know the deal here. If we pass 589, we stick around for some overtime, Johnny. But it's undeniable. There is more momentum than ever in Washington, DC. And finally, we are seeing the bricks being laid for exactly how the Clarity Act is going to ultimately get across the finish line. Just give me 15 seconds here. I'm gonna try to get that tech issue figured out and we'll play it. What's your reaction so we can get it?

SPEAKER_08

Get it going. I think Dun's doing the right thing. There's no question about it. I'm super excited that he's putting it to vote. He has to do that. It's too important of an issue, Abs, to not do it. It's just that important of an issue that it needs to get put to a test. And at least now we're gonna be able to see where all the all these senators lie. Abs, we're finally gonna get for the first time, we're gonna be able to see which one. I mean, we kind of know, but we're gonna of the 33 that haven't said no. Remember the 33 Democrats that haven't like kind of said anything? We're finally gonna get a sense to see where they all line up, how many are in support of the crypto act, how many are pro-crypto, how many are anti-crypto. We're gonna get a good feel for it. And to me, going into an election cycle, man, it's putting putting a lot of pressure on Democrats at the last minute to be able to have them come to the table. And you know what? Good for him because I think he's done it the right way. I think at the end of the day, he understands that this is just that critical of an issue that we need done. And the best way to do it is to put it to a vote, let everybody go on the record to see where they stand, and that's it. That's it. You you there's just the absolute unfortunately. Here's what happened the clock ran out. The game time, the game clock's running out, and so you you know, you you pretty much got to put them to the table and say, okay, here guys, what do you want? Well, who's who's which side are you on? And we're gonna finally get that that that understanding, and then from there, I'm sure they'll figure out you know what's going on. I know you're trying to get the um the sound going there. I could also share my screen and play it from this side. I just want to try that because it seems like the audio is playing on my side. So that's another option. If you want me to try that, let me know.

SPEAKER_10

What I'm having is an issue just with the safari browser logging me into my ex. So, what I did is I pulled up the Firefox browser to give you guys the latest update, and we got a brand new one out of Eleanor Terry. Johnny, if I can't get this video to play, I'm gonna kick it to you, and we will be playing it for our listeners regardless. But this is the brand new update that we just got out of Ellie only about two minutes ago. So, this is fresh off the press, Johnny. Hopes that Senator Majorly Majority Leader Thune will hold a closure vote um on the Clarity Act this week are fading. From a procedural standpoint, he would need to file the closure on the motion to proceed today to set up a Thursday vote under the Senate rules. But those involved in the process expect the Russia and Iran sanctions to take precedence. Attention is instead shifting to next week, with industry stakeholders telling me it's imperative for leadership to at least begin the closure process before the August recess. And I'm gonna show you the breaking news update where Senator Thune once again is confirming, in his opinion, this is a live uh update from Fox Business that we will get a vote. And I'm gonna pull up that update right here as well, Johnny. I'm just gonna try to get that uh audio playing in the background for our listeners. If you could just give us a moment while I get that, what's your reaction? What Ellie had to say?

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, I mean, you know, so it's kind of a little weird. I mean, you're right. So we got to get through the closure vote to be able to put this thing to the floor. So that's step one. And and so again, just Thun's doing everything possible to get everybody on the record. This is the best way to do it at this point. You know, he's got a press pretty much this is this is like what you call the last stop. You put the pressure on him, whether you know it's gonna pass or fail or not, at this point, you don't even matter. You just put it out there this way. People have to show their true colors or where they stand behind it. And then here's the other thing that's gonna come out of this abs. The only good news, uh, you know, either way, is if the Democrats end up voting against it, you're gonna hear why. They're gonna, because they're gonna have to justify why they voted against it. So at least we'll get a little more clear. Now, obviously, it's gonna be all about the ethics, it's gonna be, oh, we didn't get the AG support. So I really hope that that language that's going through right now, that apparently we can't seem to get a handle on what that language is, but that language that they're going back probably has something to do with squeezing in something about how state AGs can have some kind of say, some kind of power, um, to be able to go after and enforce this thing. And I think that's where we're gonna finally get to we're gonna hear about it. So let me know if you're able to get that audio play. If not, I'd like to try playing it from my side.

SPEAKER_10

Thank you, Jennifer. So and I Appreciate everybody's patience as they try to figure out what's going on in the background. It's just been one of those months. We had some tech issues, but hopefully this is just a minor issue that we're dealing with here. Now, what I'm going to be showing you guys is, of course, the breaking news. Senate Majority Leader John Thune confirms the Clarity Act will receive a Senate vote before the August recess. And I'm very excited to be breaking this down here. Here's our live reaction. Johnny, let me know if the audio is coming in.

SPEAKER_03

What do you believe you can get accomplished before the August recess and then you come back in September? Um, how imperative are uh is it that these items get voted on?

SPEAKER_04

Well, first off, I mean we're gonna do Russia sanctions, and that's a tribute to Lindsey Graham, who um we all are are gonna, you know, commemorate tomorrow. Um I think we'll get that done. I think we've got to fund the government, and I think we're on a path to do that. You think Chuck Schumer is shutting it down? We'll see. I mean, I'm gonna find out this week. But I think there's also a um there's a package of nominations that's about 74 noms that the president's put forward that we've now we're moving them in block. We'll do that. Uh we will probably have a vote on the Clarity Act, which is the digital assets uh uh bill legislation that's in front of the Senate. We'll see if the Democrats give us the votes to get on that. There's also a possibility on uh NIL legislation. I had a couple of conversations over the weekend with people like Ted Cruz, Eric Schmidt have been working on that issue, and um, and that's the college sports issue. A lot of people are interested in that.

SPEAKER_03

How uh I know the president has leaned on you hard. He's leaned on Mike Johnson hard. You have very slim majorities. You know, in terms of his priorities, what percentage of those do you believe you can have done before the midterm elections? Because he's got a lot on his his his wish list. He does.

SPEAKER_04

I mean, the main thing he wants, Sean, as you know, is the is the Save America Act. And that is something where um I like I said, we've had multiple votes on it now, not a single Democrat has voted for it. I think we continue to put them on the record.

SPEAKER_10

So there you have it, Johnny. And I heard a brand new update out of the Blockchain Association's CEO yesterday where she said the difference between the Clarity Act and the Save Act is that there's a lot more Democrats that are willing to vote in favor of the Clarity Act issue as long as we get the ethics situation resolved. But our listeners, you guys just heard the breaking news. Senate Majority Leader Thune confirms the Clarity Act will receive a Senate vote before the August recess. So if you're excited about that, smash that like button. We already passed 525 likes, so we're very close to some overtime here. And Johnny, it is a relief. When now we just need the official announcement. I'm anticipating something later today, and we'll be breaking down those updates in our afternoon show. But what's your initial reaction to what Thune had to say here?

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, I mean, to me, uh it's just just couldn't kind of confirm is what we've all been hoping for, Abs. I think it's a smart move on his part. There's a lot of things and lot of a lot of things they got to vote on. Um, but it sounds like he's got the Clarity Act baked into that, which is good. That's a good news for us. It's good news for America. Obviously, he obviously they're gonna focus on the on that on the uh the Russian act first. So that needs to get done and the sanctions on that, I think, will also complete. And then from there, Abs, we get to finally see people going on the record. We're finally gonna get people on the record to see whether or not uh can we get closer? And if we can, then we can put this thing to the vote next week and we'll see where it goes. So I'm excited about it. Um, I think at this point, finally, this is what we've all been waiting for. At least we know now officially that they want to bring this thing to the floor. Now, once we get that, we'll see where we stand. And that's gonna be a whole nother ballgame, my friend. But I'm sure we'll hear between now and then, Abs. I'm sure we're gonna hear more about that. What I'm really interested in now, Abs, to be honest with you, is the text. I want to see the text of the modified, because I'm guessing they're in the process of modifying, well, we know they're in the process of modifying the language, and I want to see if there's some kind of clause in there that allows state AGs to be able to either go after, either either go after the DOJ themselves or go after, you know, we we need some kind of state AG clause in there. I don't think the Dems are gonna support it. So now that's gonna be the next thing that we're all gonna be looking for. So keep an eye on Eleanor, she'll probably be the one to get it. But abs to me, that is the next big thing now. Is let's get keep an eye on what that text looks like once we finally get it.

SPEAKER_10

I agree, guys. And we're trying to figure out the tech thing in the background. I do apologize about this because I don't know what's been going on this week, but we do have some major updates. And again, this is a big one. Republicans and Democrats are officially finalizing the new Clarity Act proposal, and it's all centered around the ethics issue. As Democrats and Republicans are in Washington, D.C. today, finalizing the new ethics language that would receive the Clarity Act, with bipartisan negotiations entering what may be the most important stage yet. Now, the current discussions, they're focused on a bipartisan counter proposal with Ruben Gallico and Senator Tom Tillis working together. Now, Galligo's the Democrat, Tom Tillis the Republican, to present the final text and send it over to the White House. State attorneys general enforcement, with negotiations now agreeing to include key democratic demand that would give state AGs a role alongside the Department of Justice. So, Johnny, that's that big concession that would be necessary in order to get the support from the Democrats. Ethics provisions with remain the biggest obstacle to securing the 60 votes. That's what's needed for the passage. And the final language could be sent to the White House within the next couple of days, according to Senator Gallico. Now, Senator Tom Tillis says that negotiations have reached a reasonable baseline on the state AG issue. That's a huge one. You can mic drop on that, signaling that bipartisan talks are making meaningful progress and a new ethics proposal could be released very soon. So my optimism, it's starting to meet reality, Johnny Crypto. And ultimately, we're going to get answers in the next two weeks, but it all kicks off on Monday. If the Senate puts this on the ballot and we're about to address this thing live, that is going to be a historic week for not only this show, for our entire community. We are watching watching history unfold. And it really does start with what you said. This is like 1994 regulating the securities market. We're going through this exact same movement here as they're regulating the digital asset class. The tokenization of everything is what this is all about. And if you think that companies like BlackRock, Charles Schwab, Franklin Templeton are going to be on the losing side of history, I would not bet against them. Johnny Floor is yours.

SPEAKER_08

They usually aren't. And it was 1996 when we got the telecom act installed.

SPEAKER_10

Well, 1934 was the Securities Act that we opened up the Tom Lee show with today.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, 34. I thought you said 94. My bad. So anyway, 1996, we had the telecom act, and hopefully in 2026, we'll have the Clarity Act and we'll see the biggest boom, another big boom in the history, as we saw many, many, many, or at least as I saw many, many, many years ago apps. So this could be seriously a monumental week for us next week. I actually still feel very confident that we're gonna get it. I do I really do because I think the fact that you we are literally seeing words on the screen right here talking about you know, seminars trying to figure out a resolution to get state AGs involved. I think if they find a way to get the state AGs involved, I think the Dems will vote for it. I mean, literally, that's how you have to solve these issues. You have to take away people's concerns, and that's their biggest one. And I think like we're kind of gonna be, I think I can't imagine that they're not gonna come up with some solution, concerned that we already have one that Novengratz talked about yesterday. That's so it's not like there isn't precedent for this, abs. There's already a way to do this. It's just a matter of can we can we do it? Can we just do it? And I and I I can't help but feel like they will.

SPEAKER_10

So I'm very optimistic. Senator, or sorry, here's what SEC Chairman Paul Atkins had to say just yesterday.

SPEAKER_05

I'm optimistic that Congress will uh pass the uh Clarity Act, and uh, and we're doing all we can to help them answer their questions and uh and provide technical assistance. But ultimately, statute is uh is the way to future-proof something. We are ready, willing, and able to come out with uh rules um you know that that address the same issues uh in clarity and and other aspects of the crypto market. And I think that it behooves us to do that, uh uh either to implement the Clarity Act or if something uh you know should should not uh happen in Congress, then we're we stand ready to provide that. But ultimately, we need the certainty of a statute that will help future proof so that we have clear direction and uh uh to to go for.

SPEAKER_10

And Johnny, we this is another update that again, I think social media broadly is just getting this entire thing wrong right now. If you look at the polymarket odds, the Clarity Act being signed into law, it's at the lowest rates that maybe we've ever seen throughout the entire time that we've been reporting on this issue. And again, I think that just speaks to retail investors placing these bets and not the informed players that live in Washington, D.C. and are actually responsible for getting this thing across the finish line in the summer of 2026. But you heard it first, guys. We're officially going to have a Clarity Act vote according to Senator Thune. And I'm about to play a video showing you that Democrats, they got no problem voting in favor of crypto regulation because they know that will help them at the November ballot box. Floor is yours.

SPEAKER_08

That's absolutely right. Absolutely, no question about it. I'm sure if you're a Democrat, you don't want to be voting against this. You want to be able to go out there and say you voted for it. And here's what's gonna happen. If they don't have the votes, six of the seven will vote for it so they can say they did. And then the one or two that'll vote against it, you know, to put them so they don't get it, is what's gonna happen. So you so you so that's that's just how the game is played, how they typically do it. If they know that it isn't gonna pass, they'll still say, oh, well, since you're for election, we'll let you vote for it and we're gonna vote against it. So that's kind of where where I think it'll go. But I, you know, I can't help but feel like we're gonna be in a position where this thing is gonna come to first. There's too many big players behind it. It's just this there's so much at stake here in terms of my God, letting Russia get ahead of us too on crypto? Come on, really? I mean, this is just really, really sad, Abs, to see that if we're gonna get it that way. So, you know what really irks me about the whole thing, Abs? The fact that here we are talking about the clear day and talking about the say age. And do you realize that all this is just for three years? Do you realize we're talking about a clause that actually has a sunset to it? It's only good until about 2028, 2029 when President Trump's out of office, and then this clause goes away. So, like, we're literally sitting here and targeting basically one man and one man's family because a certain side doesn't like the fact that he made some money on meme coins, even though they've made a shit ton of money on stocks in the past and insider trading. That's no problem. But we can't let the president make money on you know on this on this industry. It's it's just the the whole thing is hypocrisy at the highest level. I really wish it didn't have a sunset clause. I wish they'd put this in there, and it should be a permanent rule. Because I don't think any Congress or any person or anybody should have the right to be able to manipulate or be able to launch this kind of stuff and be able to make money off it and enrich themselves, right? So to me, it just kills me that here we are today sitting here trying to with a bill at stake for something that's only three years. And by the way, shout out to Mark Smith there for calling Thune's office. You know, some there was somebody posted his number out there, guys. You should all call Thun's office and just let them know that, you know, hey, listen, we're glad to see this thing come to vote. Actually, what you really should do is if you if you have if you're in one of the states with Democrat, call your Democratic centers and let them know you want this. Because that right near abs, that's where the pressure needs to be applied right now on the Democrats to say, hey guys, we're crypto voters and we want to see this thing happen.

SPEAKER_10

Well, guys, we're only two minutes away from overtime and we're about to pass 650 likes on the program. So I can tell people are excited. If you're excited, smash that like button because trust me, we're about to break down some phenomenal content. Now that we know a vote is about to take place, Johnny Crypto, we can start breaking down. What are the odds that ultimately not only does this get across the finish line, but we get the democratic votes that are necessary in order to have this bill signed by President Trump in the summer of 2026? With this news out of Senator Thune, I am increasingly more optimistic. Here's a brand new report from Paul Barron yesterday.

SPEAKER_02

10 days right now, five hours. Okay. You tell me, can this be done in 10 days?

SPEAKER_06

Certainly can get past the Senate. Um, it does get a little tricky because uh the House went out of session, and this bill does need to go back to the House of Representatives because the Senate made changes. So we'll have to just keep pushing through the Congress's August recess and get the House to take up the Senate pass bill as soon as they get back. But I I have no doubt we can get this through the Senate this, you know, the next couple of days, um, or at least in the week, and kind of tee it up for the House when they return.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, so you have President Trump pushing hard to get Senate to stay in session to try to get this done. You had Rick Scott, he's our senator out there pushing. He's obviously talking about Mike Lee. Uh, I will vote to stay in session unless we have passed the Save America thing, but this is also could line up in a position where it could affect clarity as well in terms of the Senate being available there.

SPEAKER_10

So this is an important clip, Johnny, because what she says is that a lot more Democrats are willing to vote for clarity than they are willing to vote for the SAFE Act. So here it is.

SPEAKER_02

Is that doable in D.C.? Has is this something that you have seen happen in DC before?

SPEAKER_06

I've seen congressional recesses canceled before. That is certainly uh something that has happened, especially when there are must-pass pieces of legislation that need to get done. Uh sometimes when you put that kind of pressure on the senators, it's what gets them to the table to kind of finalize negotiations so that you can get the 60 votes. Um, I do think clarity is a little different than SAVE. Uh, I think that we're able to pick up a number of Democrats uh once we get some of these uh last-minute negotiations nailed down. And I think it's a lot easier to get to 60 votes, but I know Save is very important to the president. So, you know, we'll be watching that as well. But I I'm I feel very good about clarity kind of beating the clock here.

SPEAKER_10

Interesting. Oh, there you have it, Johnny. So again, her confidence comes from the fact that she thinks a lot of Democrats are going to support this bill as long as we get something reasonable on the ethics issue. And we just broke down the breaking news earlier that there is an active negotiation happening right now between Ruben Gallagher and Senator Tom Tillis, where they've come to some sort of a rational agreement on the ethics issue. And this is what she addressed in that video. They would give state AGs a role alongside the Department of Justice. And I don't want to bore people with the nuances of it, but what it appears to be is that state AGs they can't sue the president, they can sue the Department of Justice on behalf, is a little bit sort of like who cares, right? But this is what's being displayed behind the scenes. I do want to hear some of your thoughts on the fact that we're coming to a conclusion here. And it does seem like there's reasonable ground from both sides.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, I think so, Abs. And I really think that that is gonna be the solution. I think it's important that somehow they get some kind of clause that the AG is in there. And like she said, you know, if we get that clause in there, then this thing will pass. Most likely, I think we'll pass the Senate. And then, of course, as she said, now it's gonna go back to the House. And then the next thing we'll be talking about is when is the House coming together and when is their voting sessions open up so we can get it, you know, because there were changes made, now the House has to approve it. Now, hopefully, with the Senate putting in all those, those, um, you know, getting the bipartisan support, if it passes through the Senate, I would imagine that hopefully the House is just gonna rubber stamp it at that point. I think that's what it would be because uh the senators have have really worked through a lot of the Democratic concerns and issues, right? So let's hope there are no more on the on the other side when we get to the House. But I would imagine if if the leaders are talking to each other, and I'm talking about the Democratic leaders, the Democratic House and the Democratic Senate, if the Democratic Senate votes to pass it, I would imagine the House would just kind of rubber stamp.

SPEAKER_10

And it's good because again, the biggest thing that we need to keep an eye on here is does it get addressed before the August recess? And all evidence is pointing to yes at this point. Even just earlier this morning, Johnny Crypto, there was a lot of reports that the Senate was going to be delaying these issues because there just wasn't any common ground being made on the Testics issue. So it's very, very interesting that we're seeing this momentum starting off this morning. But there was some more news in the background. And of course, I'm working with the multiple browsers trying to find a solution here, guys. But what I'm really trying to find a clip of is that Democratic senators, they're concerned that there is enough Democrats who will support clarity to get it across the finish line. So you know how Republicans are like, we don't know if we're gonna get enough Democratic support. A lot of popular Democrats are saying we're concerned that they're gonna get too much support on this issue. And it has nothing to do with the Save Act.

SPEAKER_08

Johnny, go ahead. You know, that's very interesting because obviously that that goes to tell you that there's still a split in the industry or split within usually the Democrats are very, very united. They're usually not that split apart like that. But what that tells me, it kind of confirms what I've been thinking all along, right? There is a subset of the banking industry that owns a lot of these or funds a lot of these senators, and they don't want this thing to happen. And then, of course, there is um a good chunk, a larger chunk, I would think, of banks that do want it. I mean, you put a list of some of the biggest ones on the planet up there that do want it. And so you're seeing this kind of split division right now within the Democratic Party. That's something you typically don't ever see, abs. It's very, very interesting. Um, so it's just gonna come down to which side has more Democratic support, and we're gonna find out shortly. Now, I believe in the House, I don't think they need any Democratic support to pass the bill. Abscribing me if I'm on, I forgot the House numbers. I think there's enough Republicans where they wouldn't even need them. But in the Senate, obviously, you need the majority, you need the 60, so you can't get there without them. So this will be very, very interesting to see, and you're gonna finally be able to see. That's why I'm excited about the vote apps. This is why I'm excited because we're gonna see on the Democratic side how many actually come to the table. Finally, for once, we're gonna get it documented. We're gonna be able to see how close we are to passing this thing. Like, do we end up with a total like 70 votes or 80 votes, or do we end up with 61? You know what I mean? Because that will be very that'll be a very, very interesting tale. Uh, a telltale sign as to you know how close this thing is to getting done and how how much support there is behind the senators that are being funded by the anti-crypt banks versus the versus the banks that are pro-crypto. So we're gonna get a sense of that, but I feel like it's close, abs. I don't think it's gonna be a a wild majority. Although there was, I think, last year when they voted, didn't we get about 70 votes? There was something like that, about 70, I think, Democrats came across it. That might have been in the house. So I don't know. We're gonna find out. We're gonna get a sense and we're gonna know next week. So I'm finally excited to know this is coming to an end.

SPEAKER_10

Well, 78 Democrats did support the bill in the House vote last year. So it does uh uh kind of increase the odds that a lot of Democrats are gonna be in favor of this thing. Also, we saw the likes of Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer support this bill when it initially made it through the House last summer. So it's really not a partisan issue. It's not like Democrats are anti-crypto and Republicans are pro-crypto. Yes, Republicans are definitively pro-crypto. I would say 99% of the people who are in office, they're working in favor of this industry. And that's because the signal that was given by President Trump. But we're gonna provide both sides of the argument here, guys, as we're rocking and rolling into some overtime. We just passed 715 likes. If you're having fun, the goal for today can't we pass 800 likes in back-to-back episodes? Miracles do happen, guys, and we got some major momentum here on GEC. But this is a brand new update. And Scott Melker put it out this is not the press that we want for the Clarity Act. This is what the mainstream is saying. Again, this is my frustration. They never do provide the answer, it's always pointing out the problems without ever providing a solution. And so here's a solution.

SPEAKER_00

But you don't know much about crypto. You know nothing about you know nothing about nothing, you fake news.

SPEAKER_10

That's kind of how I feel when I'm watching these clips. But the reason that I wanted to play it here on GEC, Johnny, is because this is the opposite side of the argument. Baby boomers are turning on CNN or whatever program that this is, and this is the message that they're getting that the Clarity Act is bad, it fuels Trump's corruption. And guess what that puts out? Now my grandma thinks that I'm supporting corruption. This is an unfortunate set of circumstances here, Johnny. But I wanted to provide kind of that opposite side because we always provide the positive news. Here's what the contrarians are saying. Floor is yours.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, no, Abs, that's exactly right. I mean, yeah, I this is the biggest complaint I have with anything that's always a one-sided conversation. Send a warrant comes on and does the same thing. Talks about how bad the Clarity Act is. So there's no other side to be of a counteract or her conversation. And so she could say whatever she wants, spew out whatever she wants, just like Oliver did there. And basically, the reality is you're you're right, baby boomers and your grandma and and my and my and my you know, parents, they're gonna listen to this stuff, right? And think how we hit where they're influenced. But otherwise, there's a lot of people that are gonna get influenced. Absolutely. I was at a dinner um last week, a farewell dinner with some friends, right? And uh they asked me, hey, what's going on with, you know, and I mentioned the word crypto, like, oh yeah, that's a scam. So you see what I mean? Because people like this, like Oliver and like Senator Warren coming out and and and and saying what they're spearing, what they're spearing, makes people feel uncomfortable about this space still, right? And saying it's a scam. Now we know it's not true. We know the cleric has a ton of provisions in it that prevents President Trump or any elected fisher from launching a meme cover. This is the whole reason why this thing is what we're talking about to get it passed, is is those provisions are in there. And yet to go on TV and say they're not, I mean, I I just don't know how people can blatantly lie through their teeth. And there's no morals left in the world, Abs, I guess. I guess that's really it because it's it's a it's a blatant lie. But what's sad about it is people, like you said, will believe it. And now, of course, then it makes you people like you and me look like, oh, we're following a scam thing. Like, really? I had to literally sit there at the dinner and explain to them, Abs, that it's not a scam. And I had to explain them how it worked and what blockchain is and how it's being used today by the DTCC. And literally, I asked them, I said, Do you trade stocks? Yeah, oh well, guess what? Then some of your stuff is actually happening on blockchain right now. So it's so funny that they don't just even get it and understand it. Uh, but it is what it is. At this point, let's just hope and pray, all right, that the Clarity Act does pass because then all this gets put behind us and this industry can flourish, and then the big, you know, the big investments that you and I and everybody in our crypto community has been waiting for will eventually come into this space.

SPEAKER_10

Well, this is what Charles Schwab had to say, Johnny Crypto. Not only did this guy put out a new interview yesterday where he said he thinks the fair value for Bitcoin is over $95,000, and he predicted that we're gonna get there in 2026. That's a bold proclamation. But in this clip, he also said that if the Clarity Act gets passed, he's anticipating somewhere around a 25% rally for the entire crypto market. And I think some projects are gonna way outperform. Others, but that's a whole separate conversation, guys. If you're having fun, smash that like button. We already passed 750 likes. If we accomplish our goal, I don't know what we'll do. We'll celebrate or something. Here's the Clarity Act video you all need to see.

SPEAKER_12

Clarity has been the major fundamental catalyst we've been tracking all year. And to clarify, we do not think it's priced in at these levels. And so we think the passage of the clarity could reignite some upward momentum. I don't want to say 25%.

SPEAKER_01

Talk me through a little bit of your view on the Clarity Act. If it passes, what happens to crypto markets?

SPEAKER_12

Yeah, so uh clarity has been the major fundamental catalyst we've been tracking all year. And to clarify, we do not think it's priced in at these levels. Um, we've been tracking the daily uh Clarity Act odds of passage in 2026, and we look at that with a consortium of different factors and see what's been driving Bitcoin's prices on a day-by-day basis. And in general, year to date, on average, Clarity Act odds, whether they're increasing or falling that day, can only really explain about 4% of Bitcoin's daily price move. And so we think that Clarity Act passage is not being priced into Bitcoin here. And I think that's important for two reasons. So, first, uh, if it gets delayed beyond um uh summer recess, first we think the odds of it passing before midterms are very low. Um, once you get back from summer recess, it's campaign time ahead of midterms. And so in that case, we don't think that would be a negative for Bitcoin's price. It doesn't appear to be priced in at these levels. Uh the flip side, if it were to pass in the next couple of weeks, we think that is really uh serving as a legislative call option. Earlier this year, um, first we launched trading and another uh large financial institution uh had a high-profile ETP launch. And that both of those uh were earlier on in the spring. And what you saw around that time is Bitcoin price rallied about 25% because you had a return to this institutional adoption narrative. And so we think the passage of the clarity could reignite some upward momentum. I don't want to say 25%, um, but we think it could uh bring about a return to the narrative of institutional adoption, which has kind of quieted it down over the past few months.

SPEAKER_10

And you guys have heard it from us for several months. The reason that the Clarity Act is so important is because it's gonna ignite the institutional adoption that we've all been waiting for inside the United States by allowing companies like BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, Fidelity, all of the companies that have come out and supported the Clarity Act, they are the ones that are gonna be going all in on this technology. And why is that beneficial for us and our listeners? You guys have placed your bets before that unfolds. As this new money begins to come into the space, we're gonna see trillions, and I mean it, it's not an exaggerated number, trillions and trillions of dollars worth of volume come into this space over the next two and a half, three years after clarity gets across the finish line. And when it's all said and done, Johnny, I think we're gonna look back on what happened here in 2026 and say that was the line in the sand that defined if America was gonna be the crypto capital of the world, or if we were gonna let politics get in way, get in way of doing what's right for the American people. But with that being said, we got 3,300 live listeners here. If you had fun, you enjoyed today's content, smash that like button. I want to give a massive and special thank you to each and every single one of you. As we were working through the tech issues, I'm gonna get that resolved behind the scenes. For some reason, Safari logged me out, wouldn't let me log back in. Could be because of the VPN that I use. So I'm gonna check that out after the program. But I would do want to encourage you, we're gonna be breaking it down, 5:30 p.m. Eastern time. Make sure you guys have your post notifications on so you can be aware of every single time that we go live. And on a week like this one, with the Clarity Act Muse coming out by the hour, very important that you guys can catch as many updates as possible if you enjoy this program. But we love you guys, we appreciate you all. Go out, touch some grass, hug some family. It is a sunny day in Boston, Massachusetts. So I'm gonna go and spend a little bit of time outside in the sun, and we'll see you all in the next one. If you're looking to implement the same strategies that we do here on Good Evening Crypto, I would encourage all of our listeners to click on the Merlin link below and sign up for iTrust Capital as well. Now, why are our listeners going to do this? By leveraging the Merlin application, you can create a profit plan for yourself so you know exactly where you're gonna be exiting this market. But leveraging iTrust through a Roth IRA product, you can take advantage of tax free crypto gains during this crypto bull market.
