Massive update for American crypto investors as Senate Majority Leader Thune has just filed for a Clarity Act vote. And during today's episode, we're gonna be breaking down exactly where the Clarity Act stands in Washington, D.C., as there is more momentum behind this bill than we have ever seen before. And with the official date being announced for in less than five weeks, the Senate is set to vote on this historic piece of legislation that many are calling the most important crypto bill in the history of the world. And if this can get across the finish line, everything changes before our very eyes. XRP investors, Solana investors, it does not matter. Altcoins will finally have the clear regulatory green light that we've all been waiting for. Real utility, institutional adoption, and billions of new capital flooding into the crypto space. We're talking about price action and adoption that has never existed in the crypto market. And this is all set to take place over the next 18 months. We're also gonna be breaking down a brand new update out of JP Morgan as they're warning their clients that XRP and Solana could slowly be dominating the crypto market. And we're gonna break down how this new report sets up a very powerful picture for the calendar year of 2027 for two of our favorite altcoins. Hello and welcome back to another episode of Good Evening Crypto, your favorite crypto news related channel. If you enjoyed this content, smash that like button and subscribe as you're gonna get an update every single day, 5 30 p.m. Eastern time. And we're gonna waste no time diving straight into the content that we have prepared for today. But I would encourage all of our listeners to stick around until the end of the episode so you can see what we're anticipating with the price action of altcoins for the calendar year of 2026. But to kick off today's show, everybody is tuning in for the breaking news that we just received on this Saturday morning, as Senate Majority Leader Thune has filed closure on the motion to proceed with the Clarity Act. It will be voted on by the Senate after they return from their August recess at 2.15 p.m. time on Tuesday, September 15th. And this has been agreed on by the Senate this morning. But the games, they're escalating behind the scenes, Johnny Crypto, is for the first time ever, we are seeing Republicans push back against the banking industry in their effort to prevent the Clarity Act from getting across the finish line. As Senators Cynthia Loomis and Bernie Moreno became the first co-sponsors of the Credit Card Competition Act tonight, according to the filing that they just obtained. And as a reminder, the banking trades didn't push back against the Genius Act last summer because of this exact bill. And expert Eleanor Terrett actually tuned in on this issue, stating it's a piece of legislation that the banks hate because it would introduce more competition to credit card processing and threaten their swipe fee revenue of essentially like a guaranteed 3.5% tier, Johnny Crypto. It's got nothing to do directly with the Clarity Act, but you can probably read the timing as a shot across the bow at the banks for helping to derail the Clarity Act timeline. And we have seen so much frustration, not just from the XRP community, but from crypto investors all across America about what the banking lobby has done over these last six months to prevent an official vote on the Clarity Act. But we're here to celebrate this morning because for the first time in American history, we can point to September 15th at 2 15 p.m. Eastern time, Johnny, as the official date we're gonna get a Clarity Act vote. And if that gets you guys excited, smash that like button and leave some of your thoughts underneath the video. Because although we would have loved to have this address before the August recess, but this is a massive win for the pro-crypto politicians in Washington, D.C., Johnny, as I just stated, for the first time ever, we can point to a definitive date and time that we are going to be getting a Clarity Act vote. And this is also very important because it's going to be taking place before the midterm elections. And all throughout the week, we heard Republican candidates Tim Scott, Senator Loomis, Rick Scott, all state that they were going to have a Clarity Act vote before the official elections in November. So this is putting us on that exact same timeframe. But to just give you guys an in-depth breakdown before I kick it over to Johnny Crypto, the Senate has begun the formal floor action on the Clarity Act process. As Senate Majority Leader John Thune filed the motion as early as Saturday afternoon after an overnight session working with representatives at the White House. This is the furthest the crypto bill has ever moved. Now, the first procedural vote comes when the Senate returns on September 15th and it needs 60 votes, which means at least 10 Democrats to cross party lines and support the Clarity Act. Now, that support is still in doubt over a provision banning senior officials, including President Trump, from backing crypto projects. And a revised version of that section has been sitting unanswered at the White House for over a calendar week. September gives them three more weeks for Congress to negotiate these acts before the midterms. But if this bill fails there, there will not be another congressional addressing until the calendar year of 2027. So it is make or break moment on September 14th for the Clarity Act to ultimately get across the finish line. And I'd love to ask our listeners, ones in chat, if you believe the Clarity Act will get enough votes to pass here inside the United States. Twos underneath the video if you think it's not getting done. But Johnny, I'd love to hear your reaction. How do you feel about Majority Leader Thune officially setting a date and time for the Clarity Act vote? Although it's coming after the August recess.

SPEAKER_03

Well, absolutely, this is what we call a win-win, my friend. This is absolutely what we needed. You and I have been screaming and calling for it. We're finally getting it. It's about time he put it on. Because you know what? To be honest with you, all respect would have been lost for Thune if he didn't put this on. Now the fact that he did and the time that he put on is perfect. It's brilliant. We have a date. It's before the election. And the reason why this is beautiful is because now everybody's feet is put to the fire. Everybody knows on September 15th, they have to come with a yes or a no or you know. Which means they're on the record and it's not that far in front of their campaign cycle. So this is to me, like this is like the worst case you could have voted for if you were gonna vote against this thing. So brilliant. Finally happy we got it. You and I were talking about this for a while. We always felt 99.9% we would get a vote. I don't know if it's gonna pass. That part we don't know yet. But we're gonna hear a lot of chatter between now and September 14th of how close this thing is looking. And here's one thing I will say if the president is the reason why it doesn't get done because he won't agree to the terms. That's a bad look on him and a bad look on the Republican Party. Not a good thing. So this thing's been sitting on there already for a week at his desk and he hasn't replied. That's not good. He needs to get a reply back to them, they need to come with a solution, they need to fix that. One issue and get to the last thing the Republicans want is the vote coming up and the Republicans is the reason why this thing fails. If he can't get enough Republican vote, it's a badass. Not a good thing. But I'm I'm hopeful with the three to four weeks that they have left, they will figure out a solution. Because if you're President Trump, the last thing you want, you don't want this coming back on you. You want this coming back on the Democrats if it doesn't pass. And you know, Abs, the other point, this is the thing I really love with the Republicans are doing here, is they're sitting there going, okay, you know what, you guys don't want to play nice. You know what? We're not gonna play nice as well. We're gonna pull back the credit card act or the CCCA Act that they were talking about for vote. And this, you know what I always tell you, Abs, if you want to hurt somebody, what do you do? You hurt them in the pocket, you hurt them in the wall, right? That's an old, old thing that you've always heard everybody say. If you want to hurt somebody, you hurt them in the pocket. Well, this is how you hurt them in the pocket. Because banks make a ton of money off of those fees, off of those transaction fees, right? Now imagine if you're gonna take that away from them, you know? So it's like you pull this level, like, oh, you're not gonna give us that, we're gonna take away this. You want this, so we won't love that. And this is the game that's being played right now, my friend. And you know, it sucks because you hate to have to see that happen. But my friend, that is what you call politics. And right now, Republicans have no choice but to have to play politics if they can't get the vote.

SPEAKER_01

And although we were all disappointed that the Clarity Act wasn't called to a vote before the August recess, Johnny, I am seeing massive momentum swing back in favor of the Republican Party. Because if Democrats are not able to get the Clarity Act across the finish line, number one, Trump can continue doing whatever he wants in the crypto space. And number two, crypto exchanges like Coinbase can ramp up the stablecoin yield that they're already offering, which seems to be a main concern for the banking industry. And now we've just added a third pillar to this entire argument, which is if anti-crypto politicians are able to prevent the Clarity Act from getting across the finish line, they may also lose on this credit card issue. So all the pressure is aligning now, moving away from the Republican Party and onto the Democrats. And this is painting a very optimistic picture as senators are coming home from the August recess. But guys, I want to break down another brand new video that was just released from the Paul Barron podcast, where he's talking to an industry expert about how actually this is one of the most bullish things that the crypto industry could experience because massive momentum is swinging back in favor of Republicans. Here it is.

SPEAKER_07

Political piece put out this, of course, is Senator Thune, who has pretty much been the guy that is the linchpin on getting this done. He told reporters that we're getting all of this queued up in reference to clarity for first thing when we come back in September. This is the big point, because I think the market may have read this differently. Is this the first time that Thune has given a date? So my question to you is do you feel like this is um another punting setup, or do you feel like maybe they actually have something in plan for September? What are your thoughts?

SPEAKER_02

I mean, I do think that the the everyone is aware of this act, everyone is in the world is aware that it needs to get through. So I I do I I have some reticence to to believe that we're gonna come straight back from you know from the summer break for the senators and and get a vote in September first thing. I think they're back the 13th.

SPEAKER_07

Well, listen, the Democrats, I think, have a very good position right now because they're able to claw in a lot of their needs and wants coming out of this bill, because it is a very important bill to Trump and the administration. If you look at the calendar to your point, coming back on the week of the 13th, they actually go into session on the 14th, they'll go through four days, then they have another four days on the next week, and then another, what is it, four days all the way into the first of October. Uh, so you can kind of see there is a window here. I want to play a clip for you because this will get into a little bit more detail on where I think this is coming from, and I still believe that the banks are behind all of this.

SPEAKER_05

Here's how the Wall Street Journal editorial board put it on Tuesday. But I'm just putting up the headline Clarity for Crypto, comma, sort of. And then they say the Senate bill to regulate the digital currency needs changes to reduce risks to the financial system. I think this is a warning for all of us. That bill is not ready for prime time. You would agree that that would be a concern, would you not?

SPEAKER_06

Uh yes, uh, Senator, Congress should act in this space. So uh so good for Congress to be acting. Um, and so we do have concerns with the bill as we understand it today, but we haven't quite seen it, so we don't really know. But we agree, I agree, with the Wall Street Journal editorial from yesterday. I think it's very well written.

SPEAKER_01

So, although many people were surprised that the Clarity Act vote didn't get addressed in August, Johnny Crypto, this is par for the course when you look at what the banking industry has been doing over these past six months. And although a lot of people think we have a Democratic problem, it appears that we have a Republican problem when it comes to supporting the current state of the Clarity Act. As banks just scored a major win against the Clarity Act getting across the finish line, with at least six Republican senators now raising concerns over the stable coin yield debate. And the thing that I don't understand about the entire stablecoin argument, Johnny Crypto, is that the Clarity Act is unable to get across the finish line. Well, then they're stuck with Switz in the Genius Act, and that means Coinbase and these other crypto companies can continue to offer a large stablecoin yield to their clients. So it feels like they're flexing their muscles, but they don't actually have a whole lot of leverage on these particular topics. And it's another reason that I'm so optimistic that we will end up getting the Clarity Act across the finish line. We're just witnessing Congress in its most pure form. Not only are they dragging their feet on this issue, Johnny, but the Democrats and Republicans have totally turned this into a political debate instead of talking about what's best for the industry. And my belief is the Clarity Act in its current form will fuel the institutional adoption that we've all been predicting. But you don't have to take my word for it. Here's what crypto expert Anthony Scaramucci had to say about how the Clarity Act will impact assets like XRP and Solana.

SPEAKER_00

Here it is. So how important is Clarity for Bitcoin specifically? And if it doesn't pass for five years, is it really like uh an ed in the coffin?

SPEAKER_04

No, I mean it's shitty for altcoins. Look, if clarity passes, you'll see a rally in Ripple, you'll see a rally in Solana. You know, I sort of feel like Ethereum and Bitcoin are on their own path. You know, if you look at tokenization, Ethereum has gotten most of the market share. If you look at uh uh users, it's Ethereum and Solana. You know, so to me, Ethereum and Solana, they've got their own paths. No matter what the government does, they'll be around and fairly vibrant. Bitcoin, I think, has won the intellectual debate as a digital store of value, irrespective of where the government's gonna go.

SPEAKER_01

And it's not just Anthony Scaramucci that's sending this warning to altcoin holders, Johnny Crypto. JP Morgan actually put out some very positive statements about XRP and Solana in regards to them capturing the institutional adoption that we've all been watching here in 2026. As JP Morgan's latest report warns Hyperliquid could lose market share to Solana and XRP as ETF inflows stall, according to the record in May and June. Now, XRP just keeps quietly showing up week after week. And it's been months of this price action, Johnny, where regardless of what happens to the XRP price chart, these XRP inflows, they just keep on rolling. And we're seeing something very similar with Solana. And who are the people who are purchasing these tokens through the ETFs? A lot of these are institutional clients. That's just a very rational assumption here. But I'd like to hear from you guys. Do you believe that XRP will still outperform if the Clarity Act doesn't get across the finish line? Smash that like button and leave some of your thoughts underneath the video. Johnny, how do you feel about JP Morgan sending a warning? XRP and Solana, they're in a class of their own when it comes to the ETFs.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I mean, listen, there's just a lot of demand for those two procs. You know, you heard Skarmucci there, and what were the four things he just talked about? You know, I I love like those kind of uh interviews because you heard what was on the top of his mind. He said Solana, he mentioned Solana, Ripple, which he means XRP, Ethereum, and Bitcoin. There you go. And now these are the big players, right? You want to be listening to those kind of cues. And those are the four off the top of his mind that he thought would benefit the most. So no surprise there because they know which ones are the more popular, which ones have the more demand, and and because the chart shows it right here clearly. You can see that there's a consistent uh inflow here of XRP coming in and uh and Solana. So, for that perspective, you know, we just continue to uh know that we've invested in the right thing, and abs the key right now is just patience, you know. The clarity act is on the cost, but yes, there's a big battle going on. I'm no surprised we've been saying that that there's an anti-crypto banking industry and there's a pro-crypto industry, and they're fighting each other, and you're literally seeing the fight happen. Now you got some Republicans saying they don't want to do it anymore. They must be also funded by some of that banking industry. But it's the thing, the interesting thing is they can't hide now. They can run, but they can't hide because on December September 15th, everybody's feet is gonna be put to the fire. We're gonna find out who's for it, who's against it. And I'll tell you what, you don't think President Trump's gonna be angry if those Republicans don't support him? He's probably gonna go after them too. So it's gonna be a very, very interesting time. September 15th, I'm looking very forward to that day.

SPEAKER_01

Well, what's really interesting, guys, is not only when you look on Polymarket and Calchi, you'll see that the Clarity Act odds, they're below 20% on both platforms. I'm beginning to feel more optimistic, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if we see heading towards that September date, we will see those clarity act odds ride and rise in correlation with that. But I want to take your analysis even one step further, Johnny Crypto, because I don't think it's as simple as looking at the top four largest market caps in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and XRP. I think that these companies are looking at where is the institutional utility gonna find itself. And those are three of the blockchains, I would exclude Bitcoin out of that conversation for a different reason, that are gonna dominate when it comes to institutional adoption, whether it be the tokenization of real world assets, the minting and launching of stable coins, or the enabling of smart contracts, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, these are the assets that I think are gonna absorb the majority of new liquidity that comes into the crypto space. And anybody who's been watching this show for a really long time, my thesis has always been after the Clarity Act is signed, there's gonna be a massive consolidation of wealth into projects that are utility driven versus projects that are pure speculation. If you enjoyed this content, smash that like button, subscribe to the channel, and we'll see you all in the next one.
