And can you give us something that we haven't already heard from you? Things are playing out just as you said. I just want some insight. Something you've not heard from you before. Um, just as it pertains to XRP or other things, I guess would be my question on that. And I guess that's for me to decide, because that's how you worded the question. Um a lot of people saying that we're gonna go lower. I mean, we talked about this before. And again, I'm not perfect at this, but if I was gonna give you guys my best guess and price movement, I feel like there's gonna come a moment where XRP like skyrockets, maybe even during or before or right before the unline happens, so that it can withstand the unlined and still be in a position where they can can push it higher and use it. We've talked about that dollar being you know a hundred dollars or fifty dollars. You know, David Schwartz put out a tweet saying, you know, Ethereum went from a dollar five to twelve bucks. A lot of people telling you out there on the TA side, and I again who am I to say that they're wrong or right? Um, that 12, you know, 10 to 13 bucks is kind of the all-time high. They've been saying the whole time I've been invested in XRP. Uh, you know, six six years. Um they've been telling me it's gonna get to thirteen bucks, ten, thirteen dollars. I think it's gonna go substantially higher than that, but I do think we're all gonna experience a pullback. I think you could see price run to you know fifty or a hundred bucks in a very short period of time, and then I do think they're gonna dump it uh with tether and you know the reverse carry trade happening. Um and then on the other side of that is when we would see like an administrative repricing or announcement by the BIS that would push it to a couple thousand bucks. Again, you know, this is complete speculation. Don't predicate your trades or investments off anything I say here. Do your own research, understand the dynamics that are at play, and position yourself accordingly after you've spoken with a financial advisor. Uh, but that's that's what I think we're gonna see on a move. Um, do we you know dip to 80 cents and then run to 50 bucks? Who knows? But like I said before, this feels like the bottom of the market to me. Um, I know there's a lot of people telling you we're going lower, we could see 95 cents, we could see 88 cents, we could see 50 cents. I would say that I I have a hard time believing 50 cents. I don't think we're gonna go that low if we if we do go lower. The days of two XRP for a dollar, I think, are behind us. Um, not to say that you can't pick them up one for a dollar. We used to be able to give them five for a dollar back when they were 20 cents, and that was those are good old days. Um like during the lawsuit uh between the SEC and Ripple when that was going on at the very bottom of the market. Um and during 2020, there were some points where it was 20 cents a piece, but a long time ago. I know a lot of people are daydreaming about picking that much up, you know, and being able to employ that type of capital. Like I've said before, I think dollar cost averaging is the best way to go. If you bought it at a dollar or you bought it at 80 cents, you really don't care when it's when I've you know, again, predicated on the fact that I believe it's gonna be thousands of dollars a piece. I don't think you're gonna miss that other 20% that you could have maybe picked up if you're trying to catch the falling knife. Um, but who knows? Maybe I'm wrong about that. Maybe it's part of your plan, and you only have so much you know capital to allocate and you want to get the most bang for your buck. I get that too. So, you know, do what's right for you and your family. Um, but I don't know, maybe there's a couple things there that I haven't said before uh openly out here in the public anyway.
SPEAKER_08Good morning, everybody. Hello and welcome back to another episode of your favorite crypto news related channel. And today it's a very interesting episode because while the world is telling us the Clarity Act is dead, we have the CFTC, the SEC, and officially the OCC come out and provide guidance for the crypto industry. And this is where it gets really exciting for Ripple and the XRP community. As the breaking news we're going to be covering during today's episode is that the SEC has just come out and stated they are ready to provide guidance this Friday to allow 24-7 tokenized trading of the stock market. And this is all kicking off prior to the Clarity Act even being voted on. But I just found this brand new update as we were kicking off today's episode as well. Bitcoin and crypto firms can now apply to become national banks. The OCC says digital asset companies should have a path to becoming a federal banking charter. We're going to be talking a little bit about this later on in the episode as well, because this is a massive, massive catalyst for Ripple. And I think it's set to have a huge impact on XRP investors as well. But we already have over 1,000 live listeners here joining us, guys. If you're excited to enjoy this content, smash that like button and help us pass 589 likes on the episode. And I'll be sticking around for a little bit of overtime this morning because as you guys can tell, it is a solo dolo episode. But trust me, there's some very interesting content that I have prepared for today. Now I'm just going to reiterate this one more time. As during today's episode, the massive update that we're covering, the SEC prepares an innovation exemption that could enable 24-7 blockchain-based trading of tokenized US stocks. And this is really exciting because once again, the Democrats have been marketing themselves as if we get the Clarity Act passed, crypto corruption is gonna absolutely surge here. Little did they know they needed the Clarity Act more than Republicans. And I'm gonna be spending a whole lot of time talking about this later on during today's show. Now, I've also got some really interesting updates in regards to TA. Paul Barron interviewed somebody who's not very optimistic on the price charts for XRP, but during yesterday's episode, he had a change in sentiment. He said we could be getting a 100% rally in the month of September. So we may not be waiting very long. And I got a bunch of DMs, a bunch of messages last night of people saying 100% rally that only takes us to two bucks. We gotta start somewhere. We need a reversal in momentum, we need a bear market bottom. And from that point forward, we're gonna be providing the daily updates that every single one of you needs to be aware of. So I'm very excited for today's show, guys. We already passed over 200 likes. If you're having fun, smash that like button. I wanted to kick off today's show with a little bit of TA, and then we'll dive into this update from the SEC and how it's set to have a huge impact here if Clarity doesn't get across the finish line. With that being said, here's a brand new update on the XRP price chart, and we'll break it down.
SPEAKER_02Here it is, following good evening crypto over here. XRP am I the only one asking right now, where is Brad Garlinghouse with everything that's happening with Clarity? Most of the time, Ripple has been out in front, so we haven't necessarily seen that being the case. And XRP dipped below a dollar for just a moment on the charts. What does this look like, Gareth, especially going into clarity next month?
SPEAKER_07Yeah, so so the first thing that caught my attention was the fact that it pierced a dollar because what we know is that the general public is going to play stops right there. And I'm sure there was a ton of liquidations that went off. There was a lot of volume right there. And what I loved actually about XRP is that it almost immediately bounced back above a dollar. And one of the things that's catching my eye here is that you're now trading almost flat on the chart here. I mean, this is not a bad setup, and potentially on a technical analysis basis, this could be a bottoming tail. So the question is does did this flush wipe out a bunch of longs? And is it now a short-term bottom? The other thing that I like about XRP is that we had this longer-term wedge pattern, and the wedge pattern broke out. And just because it breaks out doesn't mean it has to rip higher immediately. But the key is it's just slowly staying like this, and it's creeping down a little bit. That's okay. You have tons of support around 96, 97 cents, potential bottoming tail, we see buyers swooped in today. Those are all signals that actually make me like being long XRP here. So I'm a bull right now. The chart is actually even as nasty as the chart looks, there are green shoots, as we call them in the in the world of TradFi here. Uh, there are green shoots in XRP.
SPEAKER_08Or let's paint a picture that we So before we get into the next portion, guys. I want to hear from you. One's in chat if you believe we're going to get a September rally for the crypto market. Two's in chat if you think we're going to go lower all the way until the month of October. Now, let me remind some of our newer crypto listeners why September and October are such important months for the crypto market. Now, historically, the month of July is fairly bullish, but the month of August is almost always red for the crypto space, especially during these bearish time periods. But the month of September and October, those are some of the most bullish months in the crypto space, with over 85% of the month of October having been bullish over the past 12 years. So it's 10 out of the last 12 years. October has been green for the crypto market. He's predicting it's going to happen in September, and he's about to get into that thesis here. But I'd like to hear from you guys. One's for yes, two's for no. Here's the end of that clip.
SPEAKER_02Get clarity in September. I still am skeptical, even though my research team is telling me we we think it's gonna happen. But let's assume that it does go through somehow. And Ripple benefits from this because everybody believes that Ripple has all these things pent up to roll out, waiting on clarity. Where would you put XRP if that were to go through in September, October?
SPEAKER_07I mean, I would think there's 50 to 100% upside, right? I mean, and granted, that's not a ridiculous number for a lot of people that have been in this for a long amount of time, but I think you have to just give it some time. Like, you know, you just the initial stage here is you want a big bounce that puts in a vertical kind of reversal signal on a bigger time frame. And so I'd be looking at first upside target on the chart of really around four, a buck fifty. These highs right over here, we can see how it kept on kind of punching up into this level once, twice, and three times, and it got rejected. So on a clarity pass at about a buck fifty-five, I would be saying, all right, that's my first level to see if it can break through. If it can't, okay, let it consolidate, right? Sometimes charts need to digest the big moves before they can go higher. But on your comments, I'm actually a believer that clarity is gonna get through in September or early October. I don't mean to be a cynic about the political world, but my thesis is really as simple as the elections are coming up in November. Um, I think Trump has lost a lot of the crypto players after the debacle that's happened in crypto. And for votes, he's gonna try to push this through to get people psyched again before the elections.
SPEAKER_08So, again, as much as they're telling us that the Clarity Act is dead, I'm a believer that we are also gonna see the Clarity Act get across the finish line because as I'm about to cover later on in this episode, the Republican playbook for if Clarity doesn't get passed, it's just beginning to unfold. Now, there's several layers to this, but we have Senator Cynthia Loomis supporting a credit card bill that would be in direct opposition to the banking industry. That's far more scary for them than the crypto industry absorbing some of their traditional products. That's phase number one. And the reason that that's so important is because when the Genius Act back in 2025 looked like it had no momentum, uh, Republicans threatened to bring this bill to a floor vote. And that's when we got the capitulation from the Democrats. We're now seeing that same playbook be rolled out here in 2026. So we got that official narrative. The second one that I think is honestly more important here is that if they don't pass any crypto legislation, these um regulatory bodies like the SEC, the OCC, and the CFTC, they will be stepping in and providing guidance before we even get a second vote on the Clarity Act. And we got two major updates, one from the CFTC yesterday and one from the SEC this morning. Now, if you're just joining the show, trust me, we are yet to get into what I consider to be the most important topic here for today's episode, as the SEC is preparing to allow blockchain-based tokenized stock trading in the calendar year of 2026. And I'm going to be taking you guys down this rabbit hole because the official announcement was set to come out in May, and then they deferred this until August 14th. Well, what's taking place on August 14th now? An SEC closed door meeting to discuss and update the crypto guidelines that exist today. So massive momentum there in Washington, D.C. Don't fall for the negativity on social media. I wouldn't be surprised at all if we see a reversal in this Clarity Act conversation. But they're about to get into the second portion of that, which is if Clarity doesn't get signed, what could happen to the XRP price chart? Here's the final TA we'll play from this, then we'll get into our breaking news.
SPEAKER_02Well, yeah, that's kind of the basis of our team is that uh there's just too much to lose here for Trump. Uh, especially and then you could have to compare everything that's happening with his family. But this whole issue with ethics, even though there has been a little bit of a slight um maybe air in the room with ethics in some way, the real question is what happens between now and you know early September and possibly those negotiations. So, okay, Gareth, I want to go the flip side of this. Clarity does not pass. Where would we see this go? Where would be my low end on this for XRP if uh if it craters?
SPEAKER_07So I think if if it doesn't pass, and I think the passing, it has to be literally shut down as in like no chance. You're probably going back to the 2024 high pivots here. Uh, if we look at the chart, you can see there was tons of high moves right in here, right over in this range, all in this vicinity. And that would be around 70 cents. So I think your base point is 70 cents. That would be another level where I would probably pick a little up if I'm a technical trader and looking for a long, but that would be kind of what I would be angling at.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Let's take a look at micro strategy because this is a question of whether or not this trade is dead. You had Peter Schiff talking about this strategy.
SPEAKER_08So we'll talk about that a little bit later on if we get into overtime, guys. But we already passed over 300 likes on the episode. If you're having fun, we have a standard here. If we pass 589 likes, I'm gonna stick around for some overtime during today's episode. So smash that like that's one of the easiest ways, and it's totally free way to help out this channel as we're growing here. And it's really interesting, guys, because I would say there's more momentum in the crypto space than we've ever seen before. It's just not being reflected in the price charts. And I'm about to show you exactly what I'm talking about, as we've got some major updates to get into right here, right now on Good Evening Crypto. This is just in from the OCC, guys. And this is very, very important. Bitcoin and crypto firms can now apply to become national banks. You heard that correctly. And if you saw my Monday afternoon update, I broke down why this is such a big deal for XRP investors. But the OCC says digital asset companies should have a path to become federal banking charters. Entities that engage in legally permissible activities, including those involving digital assets and other novel technologies, should have a path to becoming a national bank. That's the direct quote from the OCC. America and the OCC are once again open for business. And that's what we're waiting for on the SEC's end. And I think it's what we're about to get during this major announcement on Friday. As the big news that I'm showing you guys from today is the SEC is preparing an innovation exemption that could enable 24-7 tokenized blockchain-based trading of United States stocks, something that does not exist. And I want you to consider this as well as we go through this update. We already know for a fact that the OCC are sorry, that the DTCC is going to be launching their tokenized products in the month of October. Would it surprise you at all if the SEC were to come out and provide this guidance that allows for that to flourish before then? I think that's exactly what's going to take place, regardless of the Clarity Act. Now, the Clarity Act opens the door and it keeps it open for years to come. But if the SEC and the CFTC come in and provide guidance, that means all of these products can go live in a fully regulated manner, at least until the end of the Trump term, which is a very important caveat. But there was a brand new article that came out this morning from Bloomberg, and the article indicated that the SEC is privately behind closed doors, preparing to act um administratively while the Clarity Act remains stalled for several weeks to come. And their reports are allowing listeners to kind of speculate on what could be coming. So again, this isn't an official confirmation. I'm reading you a report from Bloomberg that came out earlier this morning. And supposedly their sources in Washington, DC says there's a major announcement coming this Friday. Now, what are people so excited about? The updated interpretation and formal guidance allowing the tokenized security market to go live here inside the United States. What would this mean? 24-7, 365 tokenized markets that are operating on the weekends, they're operating at midnight. And it's quite frankly something that just doesn't exist right now. And the reason that this would be such a big deal for companies like Ripple is once these platforms go live and they start enabling the tokenization of real world assets, everybody who's not participating in this new narrative is going to be operating at a massive disadvantage. So while companies may not be excited about the idea of tokenizing all their products, the big dogs in the game, the JP Morgan's, the Black Rocks, the Fidelities, they're going all in on the tokenization of real world assets. And I think the DTCC article that we uh took you guys through in July is a clear example of how these companies they really have no choice going forward. If the largest conglomerates on the planet are tokenizing assets, these smaller firms, they're gonna have no choice as well. But what's really in the works here, there's gonna be a registration and offering pathway that's delivered by the SEC. And this would allow for products to go live in a sandbox manner, meaning they could test these products and not worry about a lawsuit coming from the SEC. You could also have exchange and trading platform rules updated in real time. That would mean classification of digital assets, commodities, securities, everything thereafter. And these could be listed as securities tokens or non-securities tokens, meaning, are you regulated by the SEC or is the CFTC responsible for regulating you? These are the guidelines that should have been regulated in the Clarity Act. Well, now we have that guidance coming directly from the pro-Trump administration right now. And this is a very big swing that we're seeing when it comes to the Democratic argument about why we shouldn't pass the Clarity Act. And I saw a great update this morning that I thought you guys would appreciate. This is from an ETF analyst, Nate Garassi. And he said, putting politics aside, it's ironic that Congress failing to pass the Clarity Act will result in President Trump's SEC doing pretty much whatever they want within the existing laws to fast track the crypto industry. Sure, some of that work can be undone by the next administration, but crypto moves at warp speed and it might be too late at that point. And this is what we've been breaking down when people continue to ask me what happens if clarity doesn't get across the finish line? Well, for the next two and a half years, we're gonna see innovation expand. It's the problem is during the next administration, if we get anti-crypto politicians in positions of power, this could paint a very negative picture overall for the crypto market. So again, this is an absolute priority, but what do we know for sure? The SEC is willing to come in and provide that guidance in the short term. Now, I want to just take a very short break here and discuss the bull market because if the Clarity Act does get signed, that could be the thing that changes everything for crypto.
SPEAKER_10Here's the clip there's a lot more institutional buy-in this time, and there is a lot of sign-off from Washington. That said, the price of Bitcoin is still stuck. The Clarity Act is not really going anywhere, and that was kind of the one catalyst that it was holding on to. But it is very cyclical. We have, you know, if you're going by the four-year cycle of Bitcoin, then that would mean, if you were following it exactly, that a bull market will come at the end of this year. Bitcoiners famously call October October. Okay.
SPEAKER_09Um, but there is, of course, a lot of demand from the institutional side that might help keep it afloat. But that's a good reminder as in the next six weeks, really, to see if that can get the price unstuck, perhaps.
SPEAKER_08And so what is she referencing here, guys? They're just referencing the four-year cycle. And this is something that I've been very transparent about when it comes to the Bitcoin price chart. The Bitcoin price chart has been very predictable over the past 10 years. And I'm showing you this as a very simple example of what we could be anticipating after we get through this bear market. Now, what do we typically see? We typically see a year of downward price action after Bitcoin creates its new all-time high. If we see that play out this time around, that puts the bottom of the market in October of 2026. Now, I think it's going to play out a little bit differently. Maybe the bottom will come in in August, maybe it'll come in in early September. But what I think we're witnessing right now is business as usual for the four-year cycle. So, what does that tell us? It tells us that the end of this year, after the October narrative, things are going to start to get pretty exciting again. And all we're really waiting for, because I'm sure a lot of you guys watch blockchain backer just like I do. What are we really waiting for? We're waiting for a definitive bottom. If we see the bottom for Bitcoin be printed here at about $60,000, that's amazing. And that's why I was so excited to start off the beginning of today's episode with that TA from the Paul Barron podcast, because again, it paints a very optimistic picture as to what could happen if the bottom is in for the crypto space. But I want to give a massive thank you, guys. We just passed 400 likes on the program. If you're having fun, you want some overtime, smash that like button and help us pass 589 likes on the show. We have a standard, guys. When we do that, we stick around for some overtime. And we're about to get into another article I think is very important, but I wanted to kind of emphasize what's happening here with the SEC because this is something that was supposed to happen several months ago, but is now unfolding because they failed to pass the Clarity Act. So an article that was published back in May of 2026, almost three or four months ago at this point, said this is just in. The SEC prepares to allow blockchain-based tokenized stock trading. Now, here's the fundamental breakdown, and then I'll get into how this is applicable to today. The SEC is preparing to introduce an innovation exemption that would create a new federal framework for blockchain-based tokenized stock trading inside of the United States. The proposal would allow for digital versions of publicly traded securities to trade on blockchain networks, potentially expanding how investors can access US stocks. According to a report by Bloomberg, the plan could be released as soon as this week and forms part of Trump's administrational effort to loosen restrictions around the crypto markets. There's also a big rumor, and I'll talk about this in the overtime portion of today's show. I'm just going to briefly reference it here that President Trump is weighing a cut to capital gains taxes ahead of the midterm elections. This is per a Bloomberg report from earlier this. Morning, there hasn't been a major cut in capital gains tax rates since the US in 2003. So historic things are really happening right now. It's not, it's not an exaggeration to say that, but this framework would represent a major change for digital assets tied to traditional stocks, giving the SEC a clear path to oversee the tokenized securities market here inside of the United States. These are the updates that people are waiting for. When you talk about utility, when you talk about institutional adoption, that is all centered around the tokenization of real world assets and these traditional companies launching blockchain products to their clients here inside of the US. So if you're excited about this, guys, this lets you know the exact game plan for if Clarity doesn't get passed. The SEC, the OCC, and the CFTC, they're all independently going to come out and provide guidance. And the uh the CFTC actually came out yesterday as well and made a very similar announcement about how they're gonna operate if Clarity fails to get across the finish line. But let's even take it one step further because the SEC uh project crypto and Ripple's OCC bank charter will sustain significant momentum. And this is all about the Clarity Act. Again, if you're just joining the program, the big news that we're breaking down today, the SEC is gonna step in and provide guidance, allowing 24-7 tokenized stock trading because the Clarity Act failed to get a vote in August. So this is very, very good news for today's show. Now let's expand on that here for just a moment. The Clarity Act, if passed, would build on this foundation and provide the fuller statutory certainty that institutional participants have been waiting for. So again, Clarity Act unlocks institutional adoption, but firms that have been waiting cautious about product development and custody build outs as well as on-chain integrations would have a defined legal basis to move forward. So the SEC could allow for these companies to launch these products and not be worried about being prosecuted. The most visible effects would likely include a wave of institutional product launches, ETF expansions, and on-chain treasury integrations, as well as blockchain acceleration in the convergence between traditional finance and crypto infrastructure. And this reminded me of the David Sachs quote that we got right after President Trump was elected, where he said that by the end of the Trump term, the goal of the Trump administration is to make the banking industry and the crypto industry become one. And the way you do that is through a regulated asset class like we're seeing come to fruition here. Now, banks and asset managers would gain the confidence to engage directly with public blockchain networks rather than limiting themselves to private or permissioned alternatives. But should this legislation fail to advance within the current window, the comprehensive statutory reform could slip all the way until 2027. And that was the big warning that we gave you guys all throughout August. Like this vote in September, I'm very, very cautious about. Although I'm optimistic, I'm very, very cautious because if Democrats go to the floor and they vote on this thing, it's gonna be it, it may be demo devastating if they vote against it. So we really got to see does Thune call a vote? If Thune is able to call a vote, like we've seen with the closure process thus far, that paints an optimistic picture. We just weren't able to do that this summer. And so I'm still feeling the effects of that. As I'm sure thousands of you are, guys. I'm sure there's thousands of people out there who are like, I'm so fed up with the Clarity Act process and the fact that we didn't even get a vote. So again, September, now our month. Let's hope they don't push it into October next. But in the short term, the SEC has come in and provided guidance. And that means that project crypto rulemaking and OCC banking charter applications by Ripple and Coinbase would serve as partial substitutes, meaning they would sustain institutional momentum even in the absence of the Clarity Act. So this is the clear plan, guys. And it really is being outlaid before our very eyes. I think Republicans probably always had a plan behind the scenes. If Clarity doesn't get done, here's what we're gonna do. And so Ripple can move forward without the Clarity Act. They're one of these companies that they don't really care too much about it. And I brought this up earlier as well. I don't know if you guys saw the beginning of the episode. I'm sure there's a lot of people who didn't. Where Brad Garlinghouse, where is he? Right? We haven't heard from Brad Garlinghouse since July. I'd love to hear some of his thoughts on Clarity, on what Ripple's doing. And I'd love to play them on this channel. So I'm wondering, is anybody else asking that question? I think a lot of people are right now. But the companies that are filing for OCC charters are doing so as a failback while they wait for Congress. So again, Ripple, Circle, uh, Coinbase, they've all been among the most active lobbyists for the Clarity Act, and they're all pursuing routes to becoming a national bank here. So very, very important. What is happening before our very eyes? The banking industry is afraid of companies like Ripple absorbing a lot of their clients. And that's what this really comes down to, guys. But we're 26 minutes into the program. If you're having fun, smash that like button. I haven't checked the live likes, but you know the deal. Let's pass 589 and we're gonna stick around for some overtime during today's show. Now, with that being said, now that you guys have a good understanding about what's happening here with the SEC, let's get into some interesting price action. As this guy, he put out a great video earlier this morning that I thought you would appreciate, letting us know it's looking like a great buy here for XRP at a dollar. Here it is.
SPEAKER_06We love XRP down here at a dollar. This thing has sold off around 70% from its all-time highs. Again, most with the majority of retail is only going to be buying when people are excited. Okay, people were very excited about XRP back here at 350, right? You had people calling for $10,000 by the end of the year, right? We call that delusion. We never want to buy up here. We want to buy when things are down. Okay. Nobody's excited about XRP anymore. There's a few people, but the majority of people just aren't talking about it right now. Okay, I think we're in some type of stealth phase right here. Again, this is where the smart money and the institutional investors want to load up. One thing to pay attention to on XRP, not only the fact is that we got the blue wave down here again, where we look to buy, if we zoom out of the chart and come all the way back here to, I don't know, 2019. That was what, seven years ago. We want to be buying during this time, guys. We want to be buying when times are bad. We want to be buying when there's quote unquote blood in the streets, as Warren Buffett says. So our strategy is to buy when the blue wave is down here below the white line. Okay, that just means we've experienced a big capitulation, a big drop. Obviously, this thing's gone straight down since July of last year. So it's been over a year now, right? We pulled back. We've been in a bear market for a year. The people calling for a bear market right now are about a year too late. We called the top of uh XRP back here in August. Okay, that was back up here at 350. Again, we want to sell the red dots up here. Okay, we want to buy the green dots down here. So I love XRP at a dollar. I think it looks really good, very attractive here. The other thing I'm paying attention to is the four-year moving average. That is the blue line here on our chart. And again, if you guys do not have these indicators, you can get them over here in the Discord under the trading indicator tab. But the blue line represents the four-year moving average, right? So mean is another word for average. We never want to buy when price is way up off the average. Okay, we want to buy when that thing comes down into it or below it. And you can see we're sitting below it. So that tells us, right, we're below the mean, which means we're in despair. We're sitting 20 to 30 percent below the four-year average right now, which tells us we're getting a discount. Okay, we want to buy at that blue line or below it, and you're getting the opportunity to buy XRP at a very cheap price here at a dollar. I love it here. Uh, I like that one. That's a buy.
SPEAKER_08Uh so what's interesting about this, guys? That first of all, I thought this was a great analysis, but you guys can see this blue line that he used as a frame of reference. That was sitting around 70 cents for a really, really long time. And look at where we are. That is currently sitting way above where we need to be. And I'm gonna scroll back just so we can get a clearer picture here. That line, which is sitting at the fair market value for XRP, that's all the way up at $1.40. So if you remember, we kicked off today's episode talking about how XRP could easily see a 50 or 100% rebound here in the month of September. This is another piece of evidence that fits into that equation where you're looking at XRP overall, it has been nine, 10, maybe even 11 straight months of downward price action at this point. And sentiment has been destroyed during that time. I'm sure you guys feel it on social media as well. XRP investors, it seems like a lot of people are losing their faith in what the endgame is here. Ripple isn't, and they're continuing to develop, they're continuing to build. And it's one of the reasons that I think XRP is gonna have such a strong resurgence when this bull market returns. There's a catch-up trade in the works that I've said on several different occasions, but it all starts with a bear market bottom coming in. And that's where I wanted to play another clip from our friend Matt Hogan, who says he believes the bottom is in for Bitcoin, and things are about to get very, very exciting here towards the back end of 2026. Now, I do want to give a huge thank you, just 10 more likes to get into some overtime. Shout out to you guys for being the best community in all of crypto. I brag about you all the time, as you rightfully deserve. And I want to give a big thank you to Joseph Ray here, who said, Abs, you're doing the solo dolo ninja. Appreciate your work, bro. Thank you so much, Joseph. I love the solo dolo episodes, but I also love recording with Johnny. It's always a pleasure. Here's what Matt Hogan had to say. I think this was yesterday.
SPEAKER_04Do you expect one last flush come this fall? I think it's certainly possible. I would bet that the bottom is in. I think we'll be significantly higher by the end of the year. Market stops reacting to bad news, and that's the single best indication that you're at the bottom. Everyone who is going to sell has already sold. There's always an attention trade, something that's soaking up all the juice. So the basement conversations haven't ended at the largest institutions in the world. And it's almost as if there is no bear market. It is just a runaway bull market, which is a 10-year supersignment. Some people want the Fed to step in and bail it out, and he's just not going to do it. The real challenge for the economy is horse is only controlling this. I do think we're starting to get the self-reinforcing escape velocity from which there's no coming back. And I think it's really sad for America. It's good for Bitcoin. If you think about the evolution of strategy, I think they're entering a 2.0, but the early phase is over. I'm tempted to say something like, You wish you never launched stretch. I think the interesting question is, is there a period where they do nothing? Nothing's working. We'll just wait. And what does the market do in that scenario? Because I think it's probably likely.
SPEAKER_08So what's interesting about that, guys, is not only is he calling for the market bottom, but I wanted to expand on that with this clip right here. Now he's talking about the Clarity Act being failed and how that had a negative impact on the crypto market, but he also said the uncertainty of the Clarity Act is now behind us. We know for a fact that we're not getting the Clarity Act for the next four weeks. So we can kind of compartmentalize that until September. What he's going to expand on here is why he believes we're at the bottom of the bear market. And remember, this is the CIO at Bitwise. I believe they're a multi-billion dollar asset manager. I think it's about five billion dollars, and they're also a subsidiary of BlackRock. So I'm wondering if he thinks this, there's got to be some BlackRock representatives that feel the same way. And I want to give you a bit, I want to give a big thank you to Crypto Topaz here for the five bucks. He said if Clarity doesn't pass, Ripple becoming a bank, including Evernorth, will contribute to the price appreciation of XRP. Don't fear, keep buying the dip. I'm just doing that. I've been very transparent about my process. And I want to give a big thank you for that contribution, my friend. But I'm buying the dip, I'm taking advantage of these lows, and I know the bull markets and the bear markets, they end the same way. They end with retail, always thinking we're going to go lower during a bear market, and they always think we're going to go higher during a bull run. Everybody's calling for lower lows right now. I'm going to continue to be optimistic because I know what the end game is here. We did pass 600 likes. Massive thank you to you guys. Here's a brand new clip from Matt Hogan. We'll break it down.
SPEAKER_00And when this hack happened, we barely saw a budge in the price of Bitcoin. Talk to us whether we're seeing a real separation between Bitcoin and a broader ecosystem of digital assets when a hack like this isn't even moving the price of the stock. I mean, maybe it's this at the point where hacks don't necessarily undermine investors' confidence in Bitcoin.
SPEAKER_04Well, I think there's an element of that, but I actually think there's a bigger story going on. We've seen over the last few months that negative news hasn't harmed Bitcoin at all.
unknownWhen Michael Saylor started selling Bitcoin, Bitcoin held flat.
SPEAKER_04When stretch traded down to 75, Bitcoin held flat. When the Clarity Act odds fell from the mid-40s into the teens, Bitcoin was rallying. One sign that you're at the bottom of a bear market is when an asset stops responding to bad news. In a bear market, it tends to over-respond to bear bad news and ignore good news. We're in the reverse right now. We're ignoring bad news, we're maybe over-indexing to good news. I think it's a sign that we may be at the bottom of this crypto winner and that we may have a strong end of the year. So then if if we uh if you think we're at the bottom and we have a strong uh end to the year, what what would be the next catalyst in your view that could actually move this asset higher? Yeah, I think actually it's a quiet catalyst underneath the surface, which are these large wealth management platforms. I really think that's the next marginal buyer of Bitcoin coming into the market. And that's not a one-minute catalyst. That's something that takes place over time.
SPEAKER_08There you have it, guys. So again, Matt Hogan calling for the bottom of the bear market, and he's using that Bitcoin frame of reference. But as we know, Bitcoin moves the entire crypto space. Now, I want to give you guys a really brief update here on the Clarity Act because I thought this Bernie Moreno tweet was so important. I know you may have seen this on Monday, but it's worth going over just one more time as we enter the overtime portion of today's show. But I want to hear from you. One's in chat if you believe we will get the Clarity Act in 2026. I'd like to hear is there any optimists out there that still believe the Clarity Act will pass? Two's in chat if you think that is not going to happen. And we did pass 625 likes. Shout out to you guys for being the best. Let's see if we can pass 800 during the overtime portion of today's show. And trust me, I got some great content to get into. But this is what Bernie Moreno had to say. I believe it was on Monday night, might have been on Sunday. There's absolutely nothing to iron out in the Clarity Act that's left. As Eleanor Terrick came out with the breaking news, there's a closure vote on the calendar now for the Clarity Act. But as I stated yesterday, there are still big kinks left to iron out. Well, Bernie Moreno said absolutely not. An agreement was reached weeks ago, and all parties that agreed will now be expected to keep their commitments. That's period. The 11 months of negotiating between Senate Republicans and Democrats have officially ended, and every senator will have the opportunity to cast their vote. I'm extraordinarily confident that all 53 Senate Republicans will vote in favor of ending the debate on cloture and consider this an extremely important piece of legislation at 2.15 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15th, 2026. Now the Senate Democrats will have a choice to make hand this industry to China or embrace American exceptionalism and continue our nation's dominance and innovation. It's an easy choice if you love America. And I thought this was great because, again, people want to put the Clarity Act talks to the sidelines. I think we're going to see a massive reversal in momentum towards the back end of 2026, not just on the Bitcoin price chart, but during these Clarity Act conversations, everybody's out here. That's when I get a little bit optimistic. And I think I got another clip to kind of double down on that. This is Mike Novengratz talking about what he thinks Trump's true intentions are with Clarity. Here's the clip.
SPEAKER_03Who benefited more in 2024 that the Democrats were anti-crypto? Democrats or Republicans? Yeah, Republicans. Trump won in his mind. He won all the crypto money and he won a lot of places because he was a pro-crypto president. And so there's a real argument to make. If they come out in the next two days and say, hey, we're going to take this compromise that five Republican senators are behind, Tillis and a bunch of them. Only way it's going to get done, we'll do this. Then you can blame the Democrats. But I fear that Trump doesn't want this to pass because he wants to be able to say, hey, it's the Democrats' fault. And I don't think he's going to be able to. I think Tillis has boxed him in to say it's a very fair compromise on ethics. And quite frankly, Trump already did his two meme coins and he already did will fee. And he's got immunity. This is just ego. And so there's still a couple other issues I think will come to yes on those other issues, but it's a question of does the White House want this to pass now? And if so, it's going to pass. And if they don't, it'll wait till September, maybe, or not happen at all. Because it is powerful. People will blame Democrats more than Republicans. And the White House has got the bully pulpit and they're going to say it's their fault, their fault. But the reality is it's right there on earth plate right now. You think this is going to go to a floor vote, Michael, before the August recess? I think there's a 50-50 chance they do and they get the vote just to punt it, versus we'll come back and vote in August. It's not going away. There's been so much work put in. And the bill is a quarter inch. There are three quarter-inch gaps that need to be crossed.
SPEAKER_08And I made the joke, guys. Yeah, they were on the one-yard line, but then they threw the ball and it got intercepted, just like Marshawn Lynch back during that Super Bowl against the Patriots. But I want to get into another topic during today's show because Michael Saylor and MicroStrategy, they've become a massive vulnerability for the crypto space. For a long period of time, Michael Saylor, he was responsible for the success of the marketing that it came to Bitcoin. He was everywhere talking about buy it, never sell it, number only go up. Well, now we're seeing strategy start to dump their Bitcoin holdings. And their CEO was on Fox Business earlier this week talking about this exact topic. He went on to say that he believes Michael Saylor and strategy are now the JP Morgan of the Bitcoin industry. We're going to provide some um, let's just say contrarian takes here. Maybe I don't agree. I'll be very transparent about that. I think there's massive vulnerabilities in their business model. We're going to break that down for the next portion of the show. If you're having fun, we're about to pass over 700 likes on the program. Just want to give you guys a massive thank you once again. It's one of the best things that you can do. And I do appreciate every single person who shows up and enjoys this program. I want to hear from you. One's in chat if you think Michael Saylor is a net negative for the Bitcoin community. Two's in chat if you think he's a net positive. With that being said, here's a brand new clip breaking down. Why is Michael why is Michael Saylor selling Bitcoin? Here it is.
SPEAKER_11Strategy trimming its Bitcoin treasure trove. Again, according to regulatory filings, the world's largest corporate holder of the digital token sold more than 1,600 Bitcoin for more than $108 million total. Strategy sold the Bitcoin at an average price of about $64,200. It's the second consecutive week the company has sold and marks the seventh week in a row it has not made any Bitcoin purchases. Let's find out what the plan is. Joining me now in a Fox Business exclusive strategy CEO Fong Li. I get the selling for the moment because you got to raise some cash because you've got the preferred shareholders that you need to make sure you pay their dividend. But why no purchasing of Bitcoin at all?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, let's start with some perspective, Liz. Um we now have 840,000 Bitcoin. Since the beginning of the year, we've bought 175,000 Bitcoin and we sold 7,000. So about 25x more. And in the last three months, we've gone from being the number two institutional holder of Bitcoin in the world to the number one. Right. So I think we've bought a lot throughout the course of the year. We've increased our holdings 25%. I've said we're now the JP Morgan of the digital economy. And we'll get back to buying more Bitcoin throughout the course of the year.
SPEAKER_08But does the price have to go down or you want to see it go up? Right now, so let's remember when they were buying this Bitcoin, guys, they were buying it at $100,000. They were buying it at $98,000. So it's a reasonable question to say, why are you selling your Bitcoin at $63,000 and why have you stopped your buying? And he didn't give a great answer. I mean, saying, yeah, we bought 25% over the past year at way higher prices. I wouldn't be super excited if I owned this stock. But luckily I don't. Let's continue. It's at $63,950 per Bitcoin.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it's not really price related. Uh what we've been doing over the course of the last few months is adding to our US dollar reserve, right? So we've added 175,000 Bitcoin this year, sold 7,000, and we've actually increased our US dollar reserve to 4.75 billion from about 800 million. So that's been our focus over the last few weeks. And then we'll get back to buying Bitcoin at some point in time. And it's not price related, it's about whether we can do it accretively to our common shareholders.
SPEAKER_11It was last October that Bitcoin hit 126,000. Obviously, it's been cut in half, 64,000 at the moment. Uh, this has lasted kind of a long time. It's come up off the floor. But that said, how much longer do you anticipate this? And would you call it a crypto winter?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I think it's reasonable to call it a bearer cycle. It's been about eight months, right? And if you go back to 2022, the last time we had a prolonged bearer cycle, that started in about May of 2022. And it really went into the beginning of 2023. So an eight to 12 month down cycle is not unusual. Uh, but what you find, and if you go back and look at the 18-year history of Bitcoin, uh, every time there's a down cycle, Bitcoin comes back stronger the next time.
SPEAKER_11Uh we've seen that. Absolutely true. Uh, never guaranteed, but that has been the history of it since the birth of Bitcoin. The question becomes for investors who bought MicroStrategy at more than $400 a share, and now we look at it, it's at $97 a share. What do you say to those investors who are out there saying this is a sign of financial distress that that micro that strategy is selling, is is actually selling Bitcoin?
SPEAKER_05I look at the underlying characteristics of the company. We have 4% leverage. We have now 2.7 years of dividend coverage. We have $55 billion worth of Bitcoin on our balance sheet. None of that signals financial distress. Uh, I understand to our common shareholders, the stock has been down. Uh I look at the history since we've been buying Bitcoin, since August of 2020, Bitcoin has been up 33%, we've been up 42%, right? And so anyone who's investing in Bitcoin knows that it's a longtime horizon asset, which has high returns, high volatility. If you're going to invest in MSTR, which is amplified Bitcoin, we have higher returns, higher volatility. And those who are looking for a shorter duration asset with lower volatility, that's why we create a stretch STRC. Uh and it is, you know, you ha you you do have to have the stomach for the volatility and longer duration to be a common shareholder of ours.
SPEAKER_11Yeah. It's it's sort of Buyer, beware, this is a rough ride. It is not smooth. Michael Saylor, who of course is the chairman and had been the CEO, he recently posted on X this. And it was a picture of Bitcoin strategy reserve value with the caption, quote, doing business. What can you interpret that for us? What did you mean, doing business?
SPEAKER_05We've been doing business every week for the last uh the last six years related to Bitcoin. Uh the big difference between our business four years ago is we are basically buying Bitcoin, uh issuing uh debt, and buying more Bitcoin or leverage Bitcoin. What's changed now is we have a lot more options. We can sell uh US dollars, we can sell Bitcoin, we can uh sell our prefers, we can sell our equity, and we can buy all those things. So business is just a lot more options.
SPEAKER_11Is it a decision made between you two about whether to sell some Bitcoin each week? Or is it you? Is it Michael Saylor?
SPEAKER_05We talk we talk three to four times a day, and we consult with our finance team and we listen to our shareholders. Uh, but we talk quite a bit. So it's it's a joint decision. And of course, the board has guidelines around which we what we can do.
SPEAKER_11We've just got a not too much time left, like 30 seconds, but the Clarity Act. What are you hearing? The Senate has not passed it, and it would give some much wanted guidance and regulation to the industry, which is actually asking for it.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, look, I I think having clarity coming from uh the government, especially from Congress, would be positive right now. And it looks like uh they're going to vote for this come mid-September. So I think there's positivity comes out of that. Regardless, there's good rulemaking coming out of the SEC that will progress uh Bitcoin clarity.
SPEAKER_08And you heard it right there. There's rulemaking coming out of the SEC, and obviously they're focused on Bitcoin. But if you guys are just joining today's episode, the SEC will be addressing the crypto regulation and the absence of a Clarity Act passage. And the big update is that this Friday, we should get a major announcement out of the SEC that they're going to be allowing 24-7, 365 tokenized trading of United States stocks, something that simply doesn't exist right now. And I couldn't be more excited about this, guys, because people have been asking, what is the game plan? What is somebody said my eyes and ears are bleeding? Someone needs to go to a doctor and chat. Shout out to you, Joe. But um and more importantly, what I would say is that we now know the game plan for if Clarity doesn't get across the finish line, which I've been a major advocate for, but we have that certainty, these tokenized products they're going live here in the calendar year of 2026. But we just passed 700 likes on the show, guys. I want to give a massive thank you to each and every single one of you. If you had fun, you enjoyed today's content, smash that like button and leave some of your thoughts underneath the video.
