This podcast explains the dimensions of misinformation used by the Government.
Welcome to Kitts Myths and Mysteries, listened to in all 50 states and 39 countries, stories from a world you thought you knew. Today's podcast covers misdirection, distraction, and a government cover-up. Montauk is a census-designated place that includes the hamlet with the same name in the town of East Hampton in Sulphur County, New York, on the eastern end of the South Shore of Long Island. The Montauk Project is a conspiracy theory that alleges that there were a series of secret government projects conducted at Camp Hero Air Force Base. Montauk supposedly has facilities that connect with another time and dimension and is a place where aliens are working shoulder to shoulder with humans and where they are perfecting psychological warfare, including the development of psychic spies. Well, if you do a little research, you'll discover that there are hundreds of individuals that worked in and around the base on any number of innocent projects, and that many of these workers had children and went to the Montauk School and freely roamed the base. Some, now adults, confess that they wandered into many restricted areas. From these individuals there are no reports of aliens or time-based correctors that open the door to another dimension. Before I go any further, I'll define the word secret. A secret is something that is kept or meant to be kept unknown or unseen by others. Montauk has a secret. But it's not aliens, mind mells, or time travel. The many so-called secrets that are connected with Montauk weren't discovered. They were leaked. Over the years, the government has found that they can distract, create, and to a degree control certain groups by leaking information that seemingly reveals a secret. Then when the group applies pressure on the facility connected to this secret, the powers of be scramble in such a way that these groups of individuals believe even more that they are on the brink of a great revelation. An example on the larger scale is the idea often put forth by the military that UFO stings and sightings are specially equipped balloons or experimental aircraft. These explanations are so flimsy that UFologists are more sure than ever that there is a cover up. And indeed there is, but it's not what groups are led to believe. Have I lost you yet? The cover up, the so-called leak of information is a distraction. Many years ago, and for a very short time, I worked as a close-up magician. I found it was easy to direct a small group to look one way, say to my right, while I was doing something else to my left. I directed with words, hand motions, and productions. I used sleight of hand, flash paper, hollow coins, and often convinced my audience that one thing was happening when something else was really happening. Many times I would let them think that they had discovered a slip or mistake when it was nothing but a distraction. Believe it or not, it is even easier to redirect the attention of a large crowd than a small group of people. The reason law enforcement separates witnesses of a crime for interrogation is that each witness sees something different. When a group begins to track the leaks, the distractions become that much more ingrained. Look at the Air Force's use of this tactic with UFO sightings. First, there was Project Sign, and then Project Grudge. Finally, what you're probably most familiar with, Project Blue Book. So back to Montauk. What is really going on there? The following is first hand information. Montauk is a government's arm of disinformation. Interestingly enough, many incidents of the strange or unexplained are the distraction from what we may never know. Yet there are many events that are so physical and palpable that they can't be covered up. And it is these events that are the chink in the armor of the government's disinformation distraction. Now, if we could only differentiate between reality and disinformation. Now, on a personal note, there was a time when I ran a small private gym in Ashland, Oregon. It was one-on-one, so I never had a group of people in there. And I had a gal from San Francisco. She talked to me, she was probably in her twenties and talked to me about a chance to work at this new job. And she was thinking of doing that because there was nothing else for her in San Francisco. And I asked her what the new job was, and she said, well, I'd have to travel to the other end of the country, a place called Montauk. Let me digress and say, this girl, this young woman, had a photographic memory. And so they were hiring her, she said, for two years, and it would be her duty to collate this information. And she said that it was misinformation that was going out, and that it would be her job to collate and put it in some kind of order. And she began to describe this. And I'm thinking, wow, disinformation out of Montauk. Her mother came to pick her up. As the girl changed in the back room, I commented to the mother, boy, sounds like the daughter's got a really interesting job waiting for her in Montauk with all this disinformation distraction going on. And the mother's eyes just turned to saucers. And the daughter came out, and the mother put an arm around her and said, You can't talk to people about this, and walked her right out the door, and that was the last I saw of her. So that's the first hand information about Montauk and the disinformation. It's produced here at Night Owl Sound Studio. I hope you'll listen tomorrow for another story from a world you thought you knew.
