This is Mobility Mojo does Disability:IN
I'm your host, Bobbie Hickey, and I sit down with some of our clients who are also going to the Disability Inn conference in Dallas this July.
We discuss their company's journey with accessibility, why it matters so much to them, and really highlight the fact that accessibility is no longer an option for businesses operating in today's world.
And Bayer, as an innovation company, has this wonderful mission, health for all, hunger for none.
And if we mean all, we mean all.
And if we mean none, we mean none.
So therefore, obviously, it's just embedded also in our mission.
So it feels like my dream job coming true, I must admit.
What we found is that people with disabilities control six hundred and seventy five billion dollars in spending power and one hundred and seven billion dollars in discretionary income.
And that's not even the whole market, because that was just the US.
And it didn't take into account things like neurodivergence and chronic illness and mental health.
It's much easier to work with people who all think like you.
But the outcome is much better if you don't take the easy way.
The outcome is so much more client oriented, future proof, considering other things that it's it's not only a benefit for each one in the team once we have learned to work with each other, but it's also a benefit for the company.
Tune in wherever you get your podcasts every Tuesday in July.
We will see you in Dallas.
