• relying on the Holy Spirit when we do not know what to pray for
• watch and pray as attentiveness against the temptation to stop praying
• keeping prayers clear and understandable for a global audience
If you would like to donate your prayers, please do so. You can do it at 747-4-Prayer.
Broadcast Expansion Announcement
SPEAKER_00Good morning, good afternoon, good evening. This is Mark John with For Prayer Radio. We'd like to start off with a quick announcement. Due to the success of the first show that went out into the Mediterranean Europe and Africa, we were able to bring prayer into that region. And due to an unexpected financial donation, we are expanding that reach right away into Central and South America. And we were able to test that frequency tonight. And you can hear everywhere from the coast of Australia all the way to the coast of Africa, including Hawaii, New Zealand, up and through Canada, up and through most of the parts of North America. I was able to listen on my shortwave radio in the state that I am in in North America, all the way through the Bermuda, but not quite into Africa. But we're working on that. We have other signals going that way. But for now, on Saturday, on 3 30 Eastern Standard Time, you can hear 15770 kilohertz on WRMI to the Mediterranean, Europe, and parts of Africa. But also now at night at 8:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, the same show will replay in Central and South America. Thank you for your donations. If you would like to

Pray For The Desire To Pray
SPEAKER_00Prayer Radio. I am your host, Mark John, and today's topics pray to pray. Pray to pray. That's the main idea. We're going to ask God something like this. God help us with our desire to begin and continue in prayer. It's a very simple prayer, but it is worth praying. It's just asking God for a desire, kind of like what Solomon did in the Song of Solomon 1, verse 4. Draw me and we will run after thee. Notice here how Solomon puts it upon God. God, draw me and we will run. God, give us the desire to pray and we will pray. Far be it from us to make promises that we can't keep, but we're asking God to give us that desire so that we could pray more. And notice here that we have an infirmity because Romans teaches us that we don't know what to pray for as we should or how to offer it worthily. But the Holy Spirit helps
Why We Ask To Be Taught
SPEAKER_00us with our infirmities, for we know not what we should pray for. And we ask Yeshua to teach us to pray. Lord, teach us to pray. Now somebody might ask, why would we ask him to teach us to pray when the disciples asked him to teach us to pray and he taught them to pray? Why wouldn't we just listen to what he said? Because knowing the biblical instructions and actually practicing them are different things. In Luke 11:1, the disciples already knew Jewish prayers and had heard scripture, yet they asked Yeshua, Lord, teach us to pray. They were asking for more than information. They wanted help applying prayer rightly, consistently and sincerely. So today, teach me to pray can mean help me apply what you already were taught in Scripture. Father, help me to pray with understanding rather than just plain repetition. Father, help me to know what to pray for in every situation. Help me to become consistent and attentive in my prayers. Let the Holy Spirit help me, Father, in my weakness. Lord, help me practice prayer the way you have already taught me to pray.
Watch And Pray Against Quitting
SPEAKER_00In this case, we're also going to be asking for strength so that we can stay watchful in prayer, for it is written that we should watch and pray. Watch and pray that you do not enter into temptation. One of the primary temptations when you pray is to stop praying. Most people don't think about that, but that is true. So we're to watch and pray. Watch here means be attentive. Look around, be aware. So this is deeper awareness about prayer. We have to be aware of prayer because prayer is a focus. It's a loving attention, it's a loving gaze. But at the same time, there's a million things trying to rob you of that focus. So watch when you pray that you don't fall into temptation. There are many temptations, but the primary temptation when you are praying is to stop praying. And then when you are praying, not to offer it worthily. Thank God for the Holy Spirit. So we need to ask for strength to stay watchful. Father, help us to stay watchful. Father, give us the strength to stay watchful. Watch and pray that you do not enter into temptation to quit praying. And ask for consistency. Father, help us to continue in prayer and watch in the same with thanksgiving. Give us the prayers to pray, Father, and we will pray them unto you. Lord, help me to pray when I do not feel like praying. Teach me, strengthen me, and draw me back to you throughout the day. Amen.
A Prayer Spoken Over Listeners
SPEAKER_00Now I want to pray that same prayer for you, Father, for everyone that is listening. Help them when they don't feel like praying. Teach them, strengthen them, and draw them back to you. And now let me make it personal. Father, help them right now. Help John, help Mark, help Zach, help Debbie to pray when they don't feel like praying. Teach her to pray, strengthen her and draw her back to you throughout the
Making Prayers Clear For Broadcast
SPEAKER_00day. In this case, we want to thank you for tuning in. This is For Prayer Radio, where we want to facilitate a place where you can pray for the world. We want prayer in the air everywhere. And we want your prayers to go out to the world. We thank you for the ones who've already prayed. Now, mind you, because we're going into places that the internet can't go, and English is often the second language, some of our prayers we want to reduce some of the hermeneutics and some of the homiletics and some of the vocabulary that we might use in our ordinary Christian conversations. But at the same time, be who you are. It can be a short prayer, it can be a long prayer. And as we said before, if you pray and mess up and want to pray it again, so be it. Go for it. We can help edit it down. We can do what you need it to do because we want the world to be prayed for. So we thank you for your time. We thank you for your focus. We thank you for watching and praying with us. Thank you for sending in your prayers and your prayer requests. Thank you for praying that the show will continue to
