Commanders Joint practice and final preseason game fall out

In this episode, I break down the fallout from the Commanders’ disastrous practice and preseason game with the Ravens and ask what it could mean for the upcoming season. I also discuss Adam Peters’ roster construction and share my thoughts on what I believe is happening with the Commanders.

Welcome to the Overreacting Since Kickoff Podcast, your place for DMV sports conversations and discussions about all things DMV sports. In today's episode, we discuss the fallout from the disastrous Ravens Commanders joint practice. What does this mean for the Commanders moving forward? Is this a sign of things to come, or just normal training camp freakout from the fans? So if you don't know, the Commanders had a joint practice with the Ravens a couple days ago. And according to all reports, it was a disaster. The offense could not do anything. The offensive line couldn't stop anybody. The center couldn't snap the ball appropriately. They were all discombobulated. Jaden Daniels basically had no time to do anything. He was running around most of the time. If this was a real game, he would have been sacked numerous times. The best throw he made was at the end of the practice, which, according to some, he probably would have been sacked and it would not have gotten the throw off. Defense didn't fare so much better, but most of the reporting had been that the offensive was just horrific. Defense wasn't great, but it was the offense. I don't know what to say. I was really down on them the last episode, if you remember. I I did you could have it was sort of like a knee-jerk reaction to lower my projection from eight to ten wins down to four to six. But this, I think I I don't know what to say. At one end, you have the D local DC sports people who will defend the commanders no matter what, and then you have the other DC sports reporters, which aren't as many, who I don't know if they're calling it like it is, but they are generally more negative and down on the team, and so that's what they get painted as. Sam Cosmy wasn't playing, he was sick. Of course, Nick Allegretti wasn't playing because he's been injured since day one of training camp. And you had players who don't won't probably won't make the team starting in the offensive line. You had Matt Golbin, who is a rookie, Jonathan Good Jones, who's only played one game in his entire career, and they should not be starters. I don't know. Why are they on the team? If I I don't know. And so I get the context that yes, you're right. If you're going against threes and fours, you should win. And that's basically what the Ravens did. They won all their matchups because Trey Hagenrickson, you know, they had all their players. But still, I these are supposedly NFL players that are on the roster. They might not be the most talented, but they're not like something's going wrong in the coaching if they are this discombobulated. If they're having issues just snapping the ball, it's a problem. It just I'm really starting to question the coaching staff of the team because they're not getting their players prepared for the practice, which they all will tell you that this is more important than the actual preseason games. We actually can do more in these practices than we can in the preseason games. We can game plan more and all blah blah blah blah all that stuff which we cannot do in the preseason or we're unwilling to do in the preseason. And then I hear some reports say, Oh, well, they weren't really game planning. It's just we need to stop coddling the team at this point. All right. I understand this is still year three of supposedly a massive rebuild. So I'm putting that, that's my context to what I'm going to say. That I fully understand all the injuries that have happened, I fully understand all the protection you want to put on the players that are not injured, and I fully understand this is only year three, but I have yet to see any improvement in the team at all from play to roster. And I I think the worst thing that has happened to the commanders, and this is going to sound insane, was having that 2024 season. I think that just ruined everybody's expectations, and I don't think Adam Peters is a good enough GM currently to get back to that unbelievable luck streak we had. Like everything just fell into the commander's lap until the very last game when the Eagles just destroyed them. But I just think that that is sort of tainting us, and we're nowhere near that level of play in terms of record. We're nowhere near being a playoff team, let alone winning a couple playoff games with what the roster looks like. They don't look competent, they don't look ready to play. And if you are a second, third, fourth, fifth, or sixth string player, since there's so many players on the roster before uh cut down, and you're not ready to play, what are you doing? Like I don't understand that. How are you not getting these players motivated to make the team? And there clearly something's going on behind the scenes in the coaching that I'm missing. Obviously, I'm not there, but there's something going on that the players are not getting prepared to play. Full stop. Like something is missing, and we saw that last year. Nobody stepped up when all the injuries happened. Nobody came in as a backup and you know, started to actually play. Like there's a big disconnect happening behind the scenes in which the players are not either they're not motivated, they're not getting prepared. Like there's something, there's a big disconnect that is happening between what we see on the field and coaching that is leading to these problems. And I've already mentioned my feelings on Dan Quinn. He does not seem like a guy. I don't feel motivated by him just listening to him. Now, of course, I'm not in the locker room, you know, I don't see any of that. He just doesn't seem engaging enough that I'm going to want to run through a wall, which is why Dan Campbell is still considered a good coach. Like, I'd run through a wall for Dan Campbell, not really Dan Quinn. So, whatever you think about Dan Campbell in Detroit, whether he's a good coach or not, I don't particularly think he's a good coach, but you'll play for him and you put that effort, you'll win some games. Dan Quinn, I don't see, I just he's like Mike Smith. He's like the old Atlanta coach, Falcons coach, and I know he was the old Atlanta coach, but he seems like he just it's just not there. I'm not feeling any sense of urgency from him, any sense of, you know, let's rile up the troops. And I don't know what's happening with David Blau. I've I've honestly only heard him once, so I don't know. And maybe he it's his inexperience is causing this problem with the offense and the offensive line, but they did change out the offensive line coach. He does have Anthony Lynn still floating around to help him, but I just something's wrong. You know, I I just I just something something's off. And the uh the roster is not good either. Like Adam Peters really so far has at least to my eyes, hasn't put together a playoff roster. Uh I don't his drafting has been suspect, with again the usual caveats that's still really too early. But some of his first year drafts just here's the thing that I would say with all of these draft picks is 100% correct to that you can't do a full evaluation on any of the draft picks, even the first year draft picks. So when I start saying negative things about these players, I understand that, but I've we've seen no real progress from any of these players. We haven't seen any progress from Jaden Daniels yet either. Like it was an amazing first year. You could say that it was an injury-prone year, so that's a throwaway. But even when he was in the game, that he just was a little off last year. And none of the other players, like, who? Johnny Newton wasn't doing anything before he got injured. Ben Senett hasn't done anything, and of course, he's been injured. Uh, Luke McCaffrey hasn't done anything at all. Trey Amos is still injured. He looked pretty good. Uh Mikey Sanders still was great and then horrible. So I I and then we have like Quan Martin, who everybody loves and hates, but he wasn't drafted by them. And is he one of their better players? Sam Cosmi apparently is one of their better players, wasn't drafted by the Adam Peters crew. I I just I I just I'm I'm sort of scratching my head over this. And I it goes back to what I've thought about the story about, yeah, players want to come to Washington. No, they don't. Nobody wants to come here. And if you cannot get free agents, or at least quality free agents, then you have to do two things very well. You have to draft very well, and then you have to develop the players that you draft. And obviously the free agents aren't coming here, all right. Yes, they did pick up free agents, of course. They overpaid for OA. They 100% overpaid for Addafi OA. Chase San, Chenaw, uh, all of the other defensive players, Amique Robinson, with Sue Douglas. These are players that no other team wanted, and these are players that are trying to resurrect their careers. And so they were willing to either take less money or go to a team that needed way too much help. And that gives them a starting position. If Leo Chenal, oh my god, this rascal, he's so athletic, so great. Why didn't he play that much on Kansas City? And why did Kansas City was just like, bye? Nick Cross is the same way too. Chicka Conko is the same way too on the offensive side with uh the tight end. Like, these are not high quality free agents. All the high quality, quote unquote, high quality free agents went somewhere else, you know, and I just he's just not a good GM at the moment. You know, I just and then there is a rumor going around that I saw, and I I I I want to say I don't believe it, but it it fits into my narrative that I don't think Adam Peters is up to the job right now and doesn't quite know what he's doing, and it revolves the mysterious cutting of Tyler Biatish. Uh the the rumor that's been floating around is that they had a handshake deal with Tyler Lindenbaum that he would come to Washington, and that's why they cut Tyler Biatish when they did, because it made no sense. It saves them no money in the cap. Eight million is nothing in the grand scheme of things. And he's a competent center, like he's not a bad center. Like, if Tyler Biatish was the center right now, everybody would be not as doom and gloom as they are now. And I just think that's the dumbest thing in the world if that was true. Like, how dumb do you have to be? You cannot take a handshake deal and then make roster decisions on a handshake deal. Because of course he Tyler, if this is true, of course Tyler Lindbach ran to the uh Raiders and be like, hey, I got this deal already with the commanders. Can you beat it? And of course, they're like, Yes, because we're desperate to rebuild and we're more than happy to overpay. And then what Adam Peters should have done is two things leak the story that they had this deal, which would make Adam Peters look dumb, but at least it would explain a little bit on his thought process. But or the second thing to do, overpay for Tyler Lindenbaum. Say, fine, we're gonna give you $30 million. And and the reason that I would overpay for Tyler Lindenbaum, I mentioned this before, is you already overpaid for Lermi Tunsell when you paid him his extension and you paid all the for him for those draft picks. You overpaid for Adafi Owe to get him here for four years. You were trying to overpay for Alec Pierce. I assume you're trying to overpay for uh Romeo Dobbs when those two players said no, then you just run and just overpay for somebody else. The salary cap doesn't matter. What matters is putting a competent team on the field so you can win. You should not be hoarding money for next year. Because if free agents don't want to come here now, are they really going to want to come when you go 5 and 11 again or 5 and 12 again? No, they're not going to want to come here. So you need to win now. You need to put winning product on the field first. You need to overpay to get free agents to come here so you can win, so that then you don't have to overpay for free agents, because then they're going to want to come here because you've established a cultural winning. All we've established here is one fluke season, which is what everybody's going to call it. And now you have nothing. Two bad seasons in a row, uh supposedly, coming here. And then we have all the Jaden Daniels stuff. His people advising him are terrible people for this role. They are giving him the absolute worst advice. It doesn't matter whether it is correct for him to feel the way he feels about LSU. And let me just step back. Who is LSU's head coach? Lane Kiffin. Lane Kiffin is a dirtbag who doesn't care about anything. He will bend, break, and use every advantage to try to win. That's his nature. Love it or hate it, it doesn't matter. That's the way he is. So why would you think that he's going to be nice and respectful about your number? The second thing is you didn't win a national championship as a quarterback at LSU. You won the Heisman, but you didn't win the national championship. So you're not going to get your number retired immediately. You're just not. It's not this is not going to happen. You didn't win a national championship. Joe Burrow did. You didn't. So let's just full stop on that one. Second, you could have worked with them on this behind the scenes or just let it go for now. Okay? Let it go. I'm I'm starting to think that maybe maybe the players don't like him either, Jaden Downs. I don't know, but it just it's causing a distraction and it's forcing reporters to ask you questions, and it's forcing you to answer stupid questions about stupid things that you did. And there's no reason for this. And I just like it's Tom Lavera's right. We have this aura of collapse surrounding this team, and it's just not looking good right now. And what made things worse, this is before the disastrous practice, those three plays you gave Jaden Daniels. Oh my god. And they were s they were bad too, all three of those plays. Like, I don't know what's right or wrong about preseason games. I keep hearing people defend not playing. That you could I don't know what's right or wrong. Like it's true. If if he plays in the preseason, it it it's gonna have no direct impact on whether he's ready for the season. But I think they should play some plays just to get knock off the rust, feel an actual NFL snap. But here's what you don't do: you don't put him in for three plays to make him run around like he's running for his life and then pull him. That's what you don't do. That is the absolute worst thing you can do. So play one, he's running around, trying not to get sacked, it throws the ball away. Play two, he gets sacked immediately. Play three is a cheapy handoff. Like that's like the three worst plays you could possibly run in an offensive drive. And he comes on back on the sideline, and you're like, yep, that's good. We're taking him out. I don't care that you made an agreement that you're only going to do one drive. That's not a drive. Because what that tells us is you are so afraid that he's going to get hurt because your offensive line is a dumpster fire. You have to keep him out of the game to protect him. Which is fair. But you know, there's regular season games, and if you can't protect him in the preseason, you're sure as heck not going to be able to protect him in the regular season. So do something, you know. You're gonna have to trade. Like the Giants and the Chiefs made a trade for an offensive lineman. Now, obviously, the Giants were not gonna trade an offensive lineman to the commanders. I'm not I'm not saying that the commanders should have been in on that, but you saw that the Chiefs, for some reason, felt the need to try to get an offensive lineman and they traded with the Giants. And they only gave up a seventh round pick. Who cares about the seventh round picks? Fifth, sixth, and seventh round picks are meaningless. They are absolute meaningless. Do not give me Brock Purdy, do not give me Tom Brady. They are meaningless draft picks. If those players excel on your roster, it's one of two things. Everybody made a mistake, which they did for Tom Brady, and I guess Brock Burdy, or your roster is so bad that a seventh rounder or an undrafted free agent is going to make a difference. Those draft picks don't matter. You can even fish around with a fourth to get some. If you can get a trade, a fourth rounder for a starting level offensive lineman that's better than what we have, do it. What are you waiting for? You've dug yourself a hole with this whole Tyler Lindenbaum releasing Tyler Biadish and this quagmire of Nick Allegretti's calf. Make a change. Stop with the sunk cost fallacy of doubling and tripling down. You've I've been told by all the reporters, they know there's a problem, yet they're not doing anything to solve the problem, is what it's looking like. And that is another problem on its own. Yes, you made the mistake. You don't need to go on national TV and say and give a mea culpa that you screwed up. That's not what anybody's asking, although I'm sure some people are. But what you do is you trade for somebody, you sign somebody, you bring in people, and they really haven't. They sign somebody as a backup, great, that's the first step. Where is the center? Are you just gonna you wanna hoard your draft picks? And so you're hoping that this player on another team that you could probably trade a sixth or seventh for gets released, and you hope that you can claim them. Let's not play that game. Let's not play that game. Trade for somebody. It's okay to give up a fifth round pick or sixth or seventh. So it's okay to give a sixth and a seventh for a starting level player. That's what you use the fifth, sixth, and seventh rounds for. For fringe players who can help you right now. Those are what those picks are. They should be treated as the NBA treats second round picks. Disposable income is what they should be treated as. And that's what he should be doing. Maybe he's doing that, but hasn't happened yet and running out of time because you do want to bring them in and you do want to re you want to incorporate them into your system, and it's not happening right now. So I just waiting for cut down day, and and I guess maybe at this point, since cut down days and on a few days, it's on the 30th. But but then it's then you're gonna have to drop waiver claims, and you gotta hope they get them, or you could just give up a seventh round pick. Probably. I'd give up a seventh round pick, a fifth round, sixth round, maybe a fourth, depending on what level of starter they are. And that's what you should be doing right now. Stop hoarding the picks. It's like when coaches hoard timeouts, they won't call timeouts in the second half. You're not keeping them. They you need help now, use them now. Don't wait for some value pick that might come in the next year's draft. You have no idea what's going to happen. Use them now. That also brings me to another thing that I want to discuss with Adam Peters is he's now going to be on the junkies every Friday, the Schwarz Junkies every Friday to talk. And Grant and Danny's holding like a meet and greet style event in a little bit on some uh restaurant. I do find that curious. I I was wondering if something like this would happen because if you Listen, at least, okay. So when I listen to Adam Peters answer questions, he's not very good at it, which whatever, you don't, it's not his job to be good at, but I feel this disdain in his voice when he's answering questions from reporters like, I don't want to be here, I don't want to answer your stupid questions, let me go. And I think this is finally them trying to soften up him, and it's also going to soften up his view. Well, not his view, but soften up our view of him because he's going to be on a friendly avenue. The sports donkeys are three idiots, and so they're not going to ask him tough questions. So he picked the right avenue to go on. And I guarantee there's restrictions on what they can ask, but he's going to be on air, we're going to hear him, we're going to have a more favorable view of him. And I think that's was sort of pushed upon him from the higher-ups to soften his image because fans are getting a little annoyed. It's starting to, I can feel it. It's starting to with some of the fans. There are always going to be the bandwagoner fans who will never leave. Dan Snyder had fans, and I'm sure he still does, who thought the team was great. So you're always going to run into that. But I think that there's some fear that we're going back to the uh Dan Snyder days of people losing interest in the team again. Because if you have another bad season, and that's just going to cause more issues because you need to increase fan support. You don't want to open the new stadium and it be filled with Cowboy fans or the opposing teams fans, which is generally what happens. And we're back to it. And I think I really do think that this would be the death now. If they went into a death spiral, if this year is bad and next year is bad and there's no improvement, I think they will be in a complete death spiral because you're going to lose whatever you have left. Because even some of the fans that have held on are going to be like, I'm done. 25 years to get rid of Dan Snyder, only to have the same Dan Snyder record. I'm done. And I think part of this is to get Adam Peters out there in front of it. It's also why Will Dawkins always goes on the sports junkies. Why not? They're a favorable audience. They're going to make the Wizards look good. You know, Paul Taboni needs to start doing that for the Nats if he doesn't do it. He needs to do it more. It softens your image. It makes you look more personable. It makes you look like, hey, look, I'm for the fans. Here's what we're trying to do. And you get to control the narrative because you're the one speaking. And I think that's part of why he's doing this this coming year. I really do. And it's a smart move. He probably should have done it last year. But honestly, I think they felt that he's so smart. We're smarter than everybody. We're going to come in. Bang, look at that 2024 season. Bang, we're going to come out again in 2025. And that did not happen. And everything's sort of spiraling out of control a little bit. He's losing the team. He can't get coaches. He can't get players. His talent evaluation seems to be not so great. Like it sort of feels like the aura of collapse is happening. Like the wheels are starting to fall off. And I think this is one of the nar ways that he can control the narrative. The other way would be to put a good product on the field, but as of now, I'm questioning whether he's capable of that. Because the other issue is so let's just say they are bad this year. You gotta fire Darren Quinn, right? Then who's coming to replace him? You're almost back to the era of hiring a Ron Rivera type and hoping and praying that you can somehow eke out a couple decent seasons and then replace them with someone better. And back to Dan Snyder era. And and I'm just it's gonna be interesting to see what happens moving forward. But right now, I if you blindfolded them, someone well not really, it's blindfolded them. If you didn't tell anybody that there was a change in ownership and you showed them these two, the outcomes and what's happening between, you know, when Dan Snyder on the team and now, they're gonna be like it's the same. There's no difference. You know, because every once in a while Dan Snyder's team's had a good year and they won a playoff game, you know, under Dan Snyder when Joe Gibbs came back. So it is possible to luck into this and then go back to the garbage we are. So I think we are on the precipice of slipping back into that mindset where we just suck again and we suck again because the the people in charge are idiots. And I'm I'm worried about that. You know, I I I want to be proven wrong, but I just the roster is not good. And the roster's not good because they can't get the free. I I hope it's that the free agents don't want to come here and that they're they're having trouble signing them because if he's not signing free agents who potentially want to come here that could help the team, that's a bigger problem. That's really shows he's an idiot and he doesn't know how to do his job. And I we couldn't really find a new GM. Who's gonna want to come here? You know, and and you know, this is sort of what and and uh with with the Nationals why I think they went with what they did in terms of analytics boy genius types, and that's sort of what the commanders would need to do. And I and I think that's what they tried to do with Adam Peterson so far, it just hasn't worked. You know, it's still early, but uh again, you want to see improvement. We had this fluke season and then garbage, and then it's just looking like it's garbage again. We'll see how things go. I am curious if they're gonna play any of the starters against the Ravens for the last preseason game. I'm a big proponent of playing playing players in the preseason. Uh, some other teams have played uh the third preseason game. I think Justin Herbert was playing the third preseason game. There's historical of Patrick Mahomes playing in the third and fourth preseason games. I think they need to do that mainly to demonstrate to the team itself that look, we're the offensive line is not that bad, okay? We just had a bad practice. Look, we are good. We got this. Get Jaden Daniels to complete a couple of passes. It's more just to build up the confidence of the roster and build the confidence of the fan base, but obviously the roster is more important for them to feel confident of themselves because if you start getting into that despair loop, you're not gonna play well. If you think, ah, we're screwed, you know, and they're not gonna play well, and then it's gonna lead to a bad season. So I think this needs to be more for a confidence boost because there was no confidence boost in this practice. Even the players were just basically like we were we sucked. If you listen to some of those interviews. So I I don't know. I'm I'm oof. Hey folks, I'm cutting into this episode. There was a glitch in which the episode did not actually get uh published when I wanted it to, but since that time, we had the Ravens preseason game, and yikes! I know basically half the team didn't play. I think it was like 41 to like 46 starters didn't play, and that matters a little bit from what I'm going to say about the performance, and it was horrific. The team was absolutely horrific. They got blown out, could not do anything whatsoever, and I understand everybody's gonna say, well, nobody played. It's true, nobody played, but you know what? These are players that are trying to make the 53-man roster. These are players that have been participating for the most part for training camp the entire time, and this is the level of effort and execution that we get. That's a big problem. That's a coaching problem. The players are not motivated, they seem to not care about whether they're good or bad, whether they're successful or not. They've sort of given up. Additionally, who do you think the starters are going against? The second team is going against. They're going against these players. And so if you have this lack of effort in a preseason game, you're gonna have the same lack of effort in a training camp practice. And if the players are this bad, if you can't get any evaluation on your starters if they're just ripping these horrific players, and I think that's a big coaching problem. And it's also a player development problem, it's also a player selection problem, and I think that's a bigger deal than what the uh media, uh the DC media is is talking about. They keep pointing to no one's playing, and I get that, but the effort was horrify they did not want to be there. And you're telling me you have a chance to make an NFL roster, and this is the effort you put out, that's a big problem. That's a huge problem. That's gonna carry over into the Eagles game when the regular season starts. This is not going to be a we're gonna flip it, the switch on, and just run through a wall. It's gonna be there. They had a slow start in 2024 against the Tampa Bay. They didn't look prepared and ready. They had a really slow start last year against the Giants and they didn't look prepared. And this is when injuries happen too, when you're not prepared. That's why I wanted players to play in the preseason, just to start to get the motion of an actual NFL game. And obviously, Dan Quinn and the Brain Trust feel differently, but that's why I wanted to play. But the effort wasn't there, and I'm I'm really worried for this season now how just terrible the effort was. The other thing I wanted to point out, and this sort of piggies backs to what I said earlier in the episode with Adam Peters, you see a lot of teams making trades, day three picks for offensive lineman help, and yet from an outside perspective, I don't know, maybe the commanders are in trying to make trades, but they haven't made one. And this is, and I've said this before, and I'm gonna say it again and again and again. This is what day three picks are for. They are for players that you need to fill holes in training camp. And we have massive holes. We have holes in the cornerback room, we have holes in the running back room, but we definitely have holes in the offensive linemen. You lost Laramie Tunsil. Nick Allegretti hasn't practice. You know what you do? You try to sign some people, some free agents, some of the NFL vets, and if that doesn't work, you make trades. You trade to fill your holes. You don't keep doubling and tripling down on stupid decisions you made. You made a very bad decision in trying to not get Tyler Lindenbaum. Like you did a like a you halfway made the Tyler Lindenbaum acquisition, at least according to the rumor. I'm gonna go with the rumor at this point. And now you're like doubling, tripling, quadrupling down on Nick Allegretti. I am sorry, he is injured. He has been injured the entire training camp. You have to make a trade to at least get somebody in there who can play the position. Matt Golden has shown he cannot do it. Jonathan Good Jones has shown he can't do it. You make a trade. It's not going to be like the end of the world. Oh my God, you made a trade. So obviously you're a bad G. I'm like, I don't know what they're thinking. You make a trade to fill needs. That's what draft picks are for. Draft picks are not just to pick players for your team, they are to be used to move up in the draft, and they're used to acquire players from other teams. That's what draft picks are for. That's especially what day three draft picks are for. Like I said, they're like the second round in the NBA draft. They are disposable income that you throw around to try to fix needs, or you again package them to move up. That's what you do. And the fact that he hasn't done that yet is just mind-boggling. I don't understand what's going on in that room. Like I said before, I don't think he is capable right now of being a good GM. I just don't. He's just stuck in this my way of the highway. We're gonna make this work. Clearly, you can't make this work. Clearly, you're trying to have it both ways, keeping your draft picks and making wave reclaims. I think they have the seventh wave reclaim. It's gonna be a problem. There's gonna be other teams. If Okay. I know everybody was talking about there's a center from the Texans who, for whatever reason, they're gonna release him. He's a pretty decent player, he's young. If I know that, don't you think the other NFL teams know that too? And so if you think you can sneak in a waiver claim, this isn't fantasy football where you can sneak in a waiver claim when nobody's paying attention. All right, other teams are paying attention. So two choices. You can risk it and probably not get the player, or give up a sixth to seventh round pick for him. Give up the sixth or seventh round pick for him. And guess what? Let's say you trade for him and he sucks. Fine. You at least attempted to fix the problem instead of just throwing an injured Nick Allegretti out there. If he's injured now, it's gonna be a problem the entire season. These calf injuries, these hamstring injuries, these groin injuries would stay for the entire year. They are nagging injuries. Anyways. That game just it's terrible. All right. Just wanted to cut that in there. Let you all know my feelings on the preseason game. That was just horrific. Again, not for the results. Don't care about the results. The lack of effort, the lack of intensity, the lack of enthusiasm, the lack of care. That's a coaching problem. If you can't get your if you can't get fringe players to play to make an NFL roster, how are you going to motivate a player that's already been paid? That's the problem. And I don't think it's getting fixed anytime soon with this regime. I'm sorry, I just God, we're I I was talking to a friend of mine. We are now sort of heading back into the abyss that we were with with Dan Snyder as the owner. And the difference is there's no light at the end of the tunnel. The light at the end of the tunnel is Dan Snyder's gone. We don't have that. We have Josh Harris. We have a different owner group. So hopefully they make some changes if changes are needed. But this is not ending, this is starting really off to a horrific start. I would love to be wrong. I just don't think I'm gonna be wrong. Anyways, time will tell. That's all I have for you today.
