On the swim brief this week is University of Tennessee men's and women's swimming and diving head coach Matt Kreditch. Matt reached out to me last week, just before the SEC Championships, and agreed to this podcast just after the meet. We hit some really uncomfortable topics, including Matt's interactions with John Hutchison. From there we shift to the overall culture of swimming and coaching, and finally, the role that organizations like Asuka and their Hall of Fame should play in all of this. Enjoy. Doing great, Chris. Thanks for having me on the show. Yeah, thanks for coming. I I uh one of the things I want to say right off the bat, and I I want to give you credit for, is um as people who listen to this podcast pretty frequently uh know I've I've been really consistent in putting them up. Uh I didn't have a podcast last week, and part of that was uh I I asked several people, and just with everything that was going on in the swimming world, there were a lot of people that just were really hesitant about uh coming on a podcast with me. So I think you're being brave. Uh you volunteered to come on here and talk about some stuff that uh that's a hot button issue right now. Um on a lighter note, I uh you and I had a little sort of preliminary conversation yesterday, and um one of the things I usually do off the top of a podcast is a little bit of biographical stuff. But uh you've already we will probably have some of that in our discussion, but you've already been on a podcast, and it and it's one of my favorite swimming uh uh related podcasts ever. You went on the Ritter Sports podcast, and uh there there's some biography there, and I s highly suggest anybody to go listen to it. Uh and I told you about it yesterday because I have a really distinct memory of listening.
