This week, the Erins pay tribute to the late, great Hayden Panettiere, have their final hurrah ranting about the men of The Valley, & deconstruct Stassi Schroeder's family dynamics. They are quite optimistic about this season of Ultimate Girls Trip, but not so much about RHOC and, specifically, Victoria Gunvalson. Stick around for an entertaining palate cleanser, targeted toward all the Millennial gals out there.
Hi, I'm Erin. And I'm Erin. It's time to air it out.
SPEAKER_01Hello? We are back in a regularly scheduled program, but not a regularly scheduled location.
SPEAKER_02No, Erin is back in Seattle. She has made it from her long, incredible journey to the Midwest when she was supposed to go to London, the whole chaos. So how does it feel to be back?
SPEAKER_01Great, except for the fact that when I woke up this morning, I realized that I left my entire giant makeup bag at my mom's house.
SPEAKER_02Honestly, the trauma is real because, first of all, with makeup, that's years of curated items. Okay. It's so expensive to replace. Are you gonna have your mom ship it?
SPEAKER_01Yes. The problem it's a must. However, is that they are currently out of town until uh Wednesday. So and I think they get in late end Wednesday, so she'll ship it on Thursday. Clearly, I had backstock to zhuz my face and look presentable, but it's not what I like. I had no powder, so by the end of this, I will probably have a really greasy face. So apologies in advance to everyone.
SPEAKER_02Well, you look amazing, and I just also feel like you're one of those people that makeup or not, you obviously your makeup's gorgeous, but you don't need a ton of makeup. It's not such a difference between makeup and non-makeup. So even if you had no makeup, it would be totally fine. But I understand as a fellow makeup girly, you gotta have the right stuff when you need it.
SPEAKER_01That's so nice of you to say because I personally think I look like an alien song's makeup because especially the no eyebrows, it's a really interesting look.
SPEAKER_02I understand. So my thing is I suffer from the naked Mulret eyelash more so than the eyebrow because I do have a natural brow, but the difference between my eyeballs between mascara and non-mascara is severe. So I very much understand the struggle. I appreciate the solidarity. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01Ay, ay, ay. Well, should we get into it? Let's dive in. Yeah, I think that's like we're starting on a bit of a somber note. We want to dig into a bit of pop culture news that's been happening, mainly the untimely and early passing of Hayden Panateer, who was an icon for me personally in the movies that I watched growing up. Remember the Titans specifically? Mm-hmm. Tiger Cruise on Disney Channel, Ice Princess. So many. Nashville. So many. I watched a bit of Nashville. Yeah. Yeah. Great show. I think it's sad because obviously if any of you have paid attention to her life, things that have come out, and interviews that she's done over the past several years, she had a lot of struggles personally inside with her family dynamics and with her parents, then suffering postpartum with depression and her on again, off again boyfriend Ryan Hickerson, who I have choice words for. And now she's passed. So very sad what it was happening.
SPEAKER_02So sad. I was doing a little bit of looking into the situation, and it's so tragic just in general, but the whole thing with the ex-boyfriend, and there's a restraining order, and overdose, and what was he doing, and it's just so shady to me. It sounds like it was a really toxic dynamic, and it could very well be that he had nothing to do with the actual overdose or whatever, but I just uh and to see her having kind of risen up from the situation so recently and being so open and honest about it, and then having this happen, it just really goes to show how dangerous these addictions are, and they're so deadly and they can just go south so quickly. I do know the one thing I know about the situation, especially I don't know what substance do we know what substance it was yet that she overdosed on, maybe a mixture.
SPEAKER_01I don't think that has been released yet, but that's why the DEA is involved, because I think there's suspicion that there is fentanyl somewhere in the mix. That's always investigated at the federal level, from what I've read. Um, so obviously not great.
SPEAKER_02Not great. And also I do know, especially with things like fentanyl, heroin, those types of things, a lot of times when addicts relapse, they go back to their original amount that they were doing before, but their body is not used to it anymore. And so that's when these overdoses happen, especially in a relapse. It's really common. So it's super sad. I mean, so young, she has what, one child, two child children?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think one.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and I know that she had been open about possibly losing custody of her children of her child as a result of her addiction. And I just seeing someone that seemed to be so close to getting her life back together and then just turn the corner like this, and it's just so sad.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Well, the reason why I am questioning Brian Hickerson's involvement in all of this, especially that him and his brother were there with her in South Carolina, is because he was convicted of I think some DV-related charges involving Hayden. And over the past year or so, he's tried to get those convictions overturned, saying he's, you know, met his obligations. Uh, but the judge actually denied one of these petitions earlier this month based on an interview that he gave in May. And then the judge cited that he was clearly not sober in that interview. So I obviously can't say anything that for sure happened, but all of these pieces are I'm questioning big time why he was involved. The fact that it seems like he wasn't sober himself, just tragic all around.
SPEAKER_02It is. I could see a situation where they gain contact again and he gives her the drug in a high dose that he knows is dangerous or something like that, or even forcibly gives it to her while she's sleeping, or something like that. Because yeah, people like this are so dangerous, especially when you involve these hardcore drugs and oh, I just I feel so much for everyone involved, and it totally would not surprise me if this guy was. I mean, it's one thing to be an addict, right? We don't want to villainize or create stigma around addicts, right? But not at most addicts aren't doing domestic violence or things like that.
SPEAKER_01The other thing I wanted to say on the Hayden Panatier situation, and this isn't specifically related to her in general, but I think anytime there's a tragic or untimely passing of someone in the public eye, I really, it really grinds my gears when people that were in their life, but we know that they weren't close to in this situation, Hayden's mom is making public statements or brands try to grab on to the situation to, I don't know, make a moment for themselves. It's just like this is not the time or the place. I find it really disrespectful, and I've been seeing a lot of that. Hayden's mom, I think, has recently given an interview. Jay Shetty, who interviewed Hayden on his podcast, I think within the last year, made a really long statement, which I just find also a little odd. I know Neutrogena made statements because they were partnered with Hayden for a while. She worked with them for over a decade. I don't know. I just think these companies and and people that clearly have PR working for them need to do better and know that that's not a good book.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think there was a post by Paris Hilton that I thought was well, I feel bad saying really well done for the situation, but I I'm kind of contrasting that to what you're saying, where it was like, I I think there were friends and she posted pictures of her in a carousel or whatever, and said, you know, I love you, and things like that. And that to me is pretty much the only thing that's appropriate. Totally. Because anything else is virtue signaling, yeah. It's which is a problem in this day and age that we live in. And yeah, I could totally see that. I didn't see all of those, but I'm also I'm not deep in the war, as I always say. Yeah. So I don't see the same things. And I totally believe, especially because I know that Neutral Gina was getting a lot of flack for the situation, as they should. And I mean, there's nothing really to say other than this is really sad and wishing her family the best. I mean, I and then the mom said something about what was the mom saying, and and so it sounds like Hayden has a fractured relationship with her own mother. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, okay. She talked about that in her book that was released last year. I I don't know all the specific details, but I think it's in general just the typical story of a parent whose child rises to fame earlier in their life. Yes. And then because of that, as Hayden was coming into her own adulthood, she realized some of these things, put some distance between her and her parents, and and clearly was not close, like up until that podcast with Jay Shetty earlier this year, like still and seemingly did not make huge strides to repair that relationship, which is obviously totally fine if that was the decision Hayden want to make for herself. But then for the mom to just come out, give an interview. I to be honest, I didn't read the full interview, I just saw that she did. That's and again, crazy. I think it just goes and proves further to the point of why maybe Hayden distanced herself from her in the first place, right? Like even in her own daughter's interview, what oh my gosh, that is gross.
SPEAKER_02I I kind of got the impression just peripherally that it was a bit of a similar situation to child star, overly involved parents who are only kind of concerned about the fame of it all and whatever, and not concerned about her well-being and her safety. So that is really sad to me. And it's really sad. So her mom's clearly very unwell, and to be doing all of that stuff, I mean, it's just totally wrong.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Well, yeah, all this to say, if obviously you or anyone you know is struggling with any type of addiction, please don't carry that as shameful. I know that in our society that that's very common, a very common feeling to have, but there's always people, programs, phone numbers out there for your support.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, definitely. And it's I think it is especially shameful. I think alcohol addiction, we can kind of, it's easy to get away with, but when we step into these other drugs, it's so there's so much shame around it. And it's such a disease. It's no one's choice. No one wants to be this way. I guarantee you her main goal in life was not to be this way and to get back with her child. I promise you that was her goal. Um, no one wants to be in her situation with addiction. So oh, really, I feel so much for her. Like it makes me emotional, actually, just thinking about it.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Well, kind of pivoting the conversation to more reality TV Bravo topics that we normally hear.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, let's bring it back to our light and bright selves. Like we like to be light and bright and then bring the darkness in and then go light again. You know, we're just like so dynamic, not like other girls.
SPEAKER_01We contain multitudes. Yes. Um, but we're not getting too bright because we're talking about Pogali.
SPEAKER_05Is there anything that you think you're being held to the fire unfairly about? Yeah. Drinking. You think this is a false narrative? I mean, Jack said it last reunion. You can watch last reunion. He committed to it numerous times. Exactly. But people are here that he called and talked to.
SPEAKER_02Well, he certainly did not call me.
SPEAKER_05Well, you were not on last season.
SPEAKER_02Right, but we're talking about this season.
SPEAKER_05He put a target on my back, called other people to create this narrative, and obviously you saw the entire season when he got out of rehab.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so what are your thoughts? I am let down. I feel like there's gonna be so much more discussed about the cliffhanger from last week going into episode three about Jasmine and Melissa's wedding and Danny. But then I saw something interesting today that Janet posted on threads that it was really about Danny and the after party. And allegedly, all of the guys there on the couches had a lot to say about reigning in Danny's behavior before the after party. Apparently, there were calls to producers, other castmates, but Janet was like very convenient for them not to find their words when they're actually filming the reunion. So it sounds like believe that 1,000%. So I uh stand ten toes down on the fact that I believe something happened with Jenny, but we clearly will never find out what it was because toxic men protecting a toxic man.
SPEAKER_02100%. And we got this watered down version of it where Jesse was saying he didn't have shoes on. And wait, should we recap a little bit what happened in the situation? The situation was that we they were not being filmed. Okay, there was no cameras present at Jasmine and Melissa's wedding. And there was this whole cliffhanger in the Valley Reunion about Danny's behavior at the wedding, his behavior at the after party, what happened, this big thing. He's been seen really wasted on camera a lot. So he there's always kind of a story lurking. And when it came down to it, no one could really speak to what happened, but Jesse kind of, and they were all kind of tossing the ball to each other, who's gonna talk about it. And when it came down to it, Jesse explained that Mia had asked, or somebody said, I don't know, there's a lot of semantic BS going on. Yep. Nia had said something about don't tell Danny about the after party or don't invite him or whatever. And then next thing we know, everyone's in the hotel, or Jesse is, and he has he's being asked by Nia to go rescue Danny in the lobby of the hotel. Let's go! Danny's not wearing shoes. This is Jesse's account, not wearing shoes. He's watching the soccer game, and he is he said very resistant to leaving, which for someone like Jesse to say very resistant to leaving because he's very comfortable lying. Okay. He has no problem just completely omitting the truth. So if he was a little bit my theory, is that the reason he was it was so watered down is because he knew that someone else might come out with more information. And so he wanted to say, Oh, I well, I I did say that or whatever. Yeah. Um, so he said the most watered down version that he didn't, he was resistant to going back to the hotel room. Meanwhile, Nia is over here and she's saying, I just wanted to have a night in with my husband, etc. That's all it was. I wasn't trying to prevent him from doing anything. His behavior was fine. Girl, why are why is he downstairs then with no shoes, drinking, yep, in a hotel lobby, doesn't want to leave. And we've seen Danny's outbursts before. They're very, very dramatic. This is not just, oh, I don't want to go or whatever. Yeah. This is like kicking and screaming sort of thing. It's probably with the baby in the hotel room. She can't get, she knows something bad's gonna happen if Danny stays out, so she has to call Jesse. I mean, the fact that she called Jesse is when you know there's desperation going on. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And you said it exactly like these two things both cannot be true, right? If Jesse has to go down and encourage him to stay at the hotel and not go anywhere, that can't exist in the same world as Nia wanting to have a night at home in the hotel after a wedding. No.
SPEAKER_02What do you mean a nice night in after a wedding? That's not what happens. I don't even drink anymore. I've been to several weddings sober. I'm not, we're not having a nice night in. We're going to freaking sleep because we're getting home at one in the morning. I've had probably at least three Red Bulls, and I'm like cracked out and ready to go to sleep. And I'm a sober person. So, like, I this is not a night in, oh my god, cozy hotel. And they use this whole, sorry, I'm like on a ramble, and then we're gonna circle back. While it's on my mind, one of my notes is to point out the fact that Danny and Nia hide behind the idea of marriage as this it's this holy sanctity where it's like, I wanted to be alone with my husband. Is that so wrong? And they always throw this in a marriage, in a whatever, this very it feels very loaded to me, this language that they use where it's kind of holier than now, and you wouldn't it's almost like you all wouldn't understand because you all aren't in a marriage except for what Janet and Jason are the only married ones, right? On the cast right now, other than well, and Jasmine and Melissa now, but yeah. And Jasmine and Melissa, but I mean like the people who are married on the season, yep, while we're watching it, and they like kind of it's almost like this you wouldn't understand because you're not a married couple, and in a marriage, this and that happens okay. Continue. I just can't.
SPEAKER_01I cannot. I'm triggered, I'm mistriggered. The only other thing I was gonna say about the wedding was that the information we were getting on the show was a semantics argument. Like Lala was saying everything Lala was saying that the text said from Nia, don't tell Danny or to come or about the after party. And Nia was saying that she said, don't encourage him to come to the after party. I'm like, I'm sorry. We're arguing about two syllables, it's the same thing. And whether you said don't tell him about the after party or don't encourage him to come to the after party, I think at the end of the day, if you have to say either one of those things, red flag, red flag city central.org.edu us, I cannot.
SPEAKER_02I am someone who is sober, okay? I have literally gone to AA, I've gone to these things. I have family members, I'm like deep in the sobriety world. My ex was still, who knows, is a heavy, heavy drinker. I he didn't have the behavior that Danny had, like the unhinged side of the sexual assault. So I didn't have to babysit him as much as that, but I definitely understand this like management thing that Nia's doing because even though I don't drink anymore, I was the one in the relationship that kind of had it a little more together of the two of us. So I was always the one to like kind of see situations coming. Okay, how are we gonna get home? What are we gonna do? And he he shouldn't be here, or he shouldn't do that. So I get her side of things, and it is such a red flag. I mean, I am so appreciative of Lala in this reunion for having the perspective that she does that we so so rarely see on reality TV or on TV ever. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I because Danny again was trying to make it seem that Jax caused all of this, which is crazy. Like Jax is not on the show.
SPEAKER_00Dude, stop acting like you're the number one guy in this group, man. I'm the number one guy in this group.
SPEAKER_01These people are all adults that are accountable to themselves. And I think it's very obvious that no one really has a close relationship with Jax anymore. So the fact that Danny was trying to paint it, like Jax is the puppeteer behind stage pulling the strings of how these people were behaving, or crazy. So I love that Lava was so competent, straightforward, and then eloquent in saying that Danny blames other people, he hides his drinking, and then when he does drink, he acts a fool and she calls it a problem. And I think I don't think that's going too far because again, as we talked about, I think in every episode that we've recorded, it's not the drinking that's the problem. It's how he behaves and makes people feel that he's the problem. And that's for whatever reason is still not sinking in to either of them. And it's really frustrating.
SPEAKER_02Well, it's not sinking in because they have, and this I wrote this in my notes. I was it was one of the most important things I think that Nia said in the whole part three was a quick moment where she said, Life is great at home in our little bubble. Danny doesn't drink at home, et cetera, et cetera. When she said in her bubble, red flag alarm went off for me because and this goes to addicts, abuse, any problematic behavior. That's so often what we hear from the partner. Where if only all of these factors were here, if only we could just live in our little bubble, life is so good. Why do all these external things have to happen all the time? It is Danny's responsibility, his behavior that is the problem. The thing that was, I actually laughed out loud when he said the thing about Jax because I'm like, you're acting like the audience, we, I'm offended because I'm like, we don't believe anything Jax says. So you're acting like he has this power to just like get on the internet and do his little internet thing. And like that, we're all gonna believe. We're not we're we're not believing it. So the mental gymnastics that he has to do to remain in denial of his issue, whatever it is, is like we're all seeing it. I mean, but that's the thing is with addiction, or and been by the way, I just want to say side note this whole idea of well, Danny doesn't drink at home. A lot of people who have problematic relationships with substances have times when they use them a lot, and then they have times when they don't. So the misnomer, I guess you could say, with alcoholism is that it's I drink in the morning, I drink every day. No, but I was a binge drinker. I would go days without drinking and be like, oh my God, I'm so I'm fucking. And then like on the weekend, I'd be like, oh yeah, and then I'm doing crazy stuff. And another thing I'll note is that what I learned in my sobriety journey is that people that don't have problematic relationships with alcohol don't sit around and try to moderate, and they don't sit around and have all this energy towards like, okay, I need to be coached how to drink and be not in this situation, or or Googling, am I an alcoholic? Am I an addict or whatever? People without these issues don't even do that. So the fact we're even talking about this at all, and that Danny's like seeing a coach and whatever is, and I think I've been so impressed with Britney on this season. Okay, first of all, I have to say on the record, I've always liked Britney and I've always seen past the like Jackson Brittany dynamic. I think she became part of the toxic dynamic out of survival. But I've always like kind of seen this goodness in her, and I'm loving seeing it come out. Yeah. And I'm loving that she is recognizing that she was triggered by Nia and her behavior. And looking back onto last season, I'm like, oh, this makes so much sense as to why Britney was calling out me in the moment. I was like, that's kind of weird. But now I'm like, I get it totally.
SPEAKER_01What I will say is I am so happy and proud of Andy Cohen for how much she kept questioning and putting the pressure on Danny. Because I think Bravo in general has a sorid history of platforming and not punishing problematic men the way that they do their their female casts. Like if something happens with the female cast member on any number of shows, that they get quote unquote canceled in the public, they're not coming back. But these problematic men continue to get their contracts renewed. They continue to come back to these shows. So the fact that Andy kept circling back to questions to Danny about why he keeps drinking if drinking makes him behave in ways that are inconsistent with his character. Yeah, a heightened state. Andy, I think, explicitly said that he thinks Danny has a problem with alcohol. And I don't think Danny was expecting Andy to have that line of questioning because anytime Andy directly asked him about that, he had a non-answer. It was it was word salad. They love these men love a word salad on these shows.
SPEAKER_02They love a word salad. They are getting their fiber. And if I had a freaking if I was drinking Celsius or one of my energy drinks of choice, every time that Danny or Nia said the word heightened, a heightened state, I would have gone into cardiac arrest for the amount of times I would have had to drink that energy drink. It was crazy.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I really hope that getting some separation from the cameras, from the public discourse, that they can take a look inward. When I say they, I mean Danny and Nia. I said this last week. I will be really frustrated if the next season of this show this is another storyline. Because it it's I think in general, something that I look for in uh my Bravo shows is that yes, we're all human, so we're we all have our flaws. But displaying those same flaws and not having that self-reflection and growth from season to season is when it things start to lose me. Like if this happens again next season, this will be the third season in a row where this is the central crux of the show. And I have to believe there's more going on in their lives than having to center the conversation around Danny's unreal behavior.
SPEAKER_02Exactly. And I want to hear about other people's lives. And I I like when Bravo is dark and then light, and then dark and then light. And this season I just felt like there was so much darkness, except for Zach because we love him, and he kept the lightness there as much as possible. But I just I want to see more of the fun. But the problem is in these situations, Danny brings down the fun. I can sense it. I I don't know if you can, I feel like anyone watching it, like when he walks into a room or when he's in a dynamic, it's like everyone's on edge. He's I don't know, he just has bad I but I do hope I do think it's drinking related. So I'm hopeful that like I want his family to be a healthy family unit, and I want him to be a father to his children and and everything. And I really and I'm hopeful that that can happen. It's just oh, we saw some rough, rough things. And if this is an indicative of just who he is and how it's always gonna be, I don't want to watch him on the TV anymore. Same.
SPEAKER_01Same related but different. Something else that equally is frustrating me is how Kristen is moving and navigating all of these dynamics and things. A couple ex are it's more so how she so easily and fiercely blindly defends Danny and Nia, but doesn't have that same loyalty to her friends that she's had way longer than them. Ala, Brittany, Zach, Janet. I know she's not friends with Janet anymore, but I think she has known Janet for longer. Jasmine, she does not, she never comes to a conversation from their perspective. It's always like she's the spokesperson for Danny and Nia. When she was talking about how she questioned the timing of Janet bringing up her trauma, that was gross and disgusting to me. How she so easily threw out Jasmine, Britney and Zach's names for drinking too much to defend Danny and Nia. And then when Lala and Brittany were trying to tell Nia that Kristen was the one that said she Mia's the manipulator, and Kristen was like, I never said that. Britney said that. And then Zach from no out of nowhere says, I believe Kristen, I don't believe Britney. I like I don't think Danny and Nia have anything on Kristen, but but it's giving that she thinks that they're capable of blackmailing her because I don't there's like no other explanation for why she's so loyal and fierce to them over above everyone else. It's it's really confusing to me.
SPEAKER_02It is confusing. My I had a note here that said Kristen's behavior is bizarre, and then that's that was the entire bullet. But in what you're saying, I think I kind of formulated a thought just now, and that I think this all stems back to Janet is a dangerous person to people like Luke, Danny, Jesse. Jesse is on, and this is tying together for me because remember how Zach said that Jesse calls him all the time and does this. I think that Jesse has Zach under his thumb because then he can kind of check in on the relationship with Janet. And Zach is like, oh, we're all friends, and Zach kind of has an inability to sense that toxic maleness in the moment. I don't know, maybe that's his upbringing or something like that. But and this is not to give let Zach have a pass, because I do think he's kind of playing in the middle and it's yeah, challenging. But he's not the the thing that I'll give him is he's not outright just defending and whatever that besides what he said is when he said, I believe Kristen over Britney, but and now Britney is dangerous to those people because now Britney doesn't have jacks to have to defend, and Britney is an independent woman who is ready to call people out. And they women like that, people like that, two abusers, to people with problematic behavior are extremely dangerous. So they're gonna disparage their character at any cost. And I think what's going on is that Kristen is facing this conflict where on the one hand, she believes women and is an advocate, but then on the other hand, she is being male-centered. And I have to imagine some of this comes down to well, her relationship with her daughter and the family unit is the most important to her. So she's gonna just kind of like do mental gymnastics to make sure that works. However, we have seen male-centered Christian behavior pre-baby. Can we also talk about for a second how these people with children are pissing me the fuck off? On Watch What Happen or Watch What Crappens. The funniest thing, I one of them was like, these people use their baby as a shield. Like anyone says anything and they just hold up the baby, it's like a shield. I have a babe, I have a 13-month-old. And these, and it's always these men, like especially Jesse, and they're using fatherhood as if it's this like altruistic thing that automatically just gives you this moral superiority. It absolutely does not. It has nothing, it might enhance or make you see a different side of things, but it is absolutely not gonna have anything to do with you being a good or bad person. Otherwise, there'd be no trauma in this world because we wouldn't be passing these things down to our children. And you know what? Yes.
SPEAKER_01Continue. You know who doesn't do that and who is also a father? Jason. Jace? 100%. Didn't he tear his ACL? He had some sort of major knee injury that he needed surgery for. He encouraged Janet to go to Mexico while he still had his bum knee. They have a child who I think is maybe two years old. You wouldn't ever see him using his child holding him up as a shield for their behavior. Like they, Janet and Jason, I think have said in this situation with Danny, like they're sorry for the words that they use, they're sorry for how things came across. Like they are taking responsibility for maybe their missteps in the whole dynamic with everyone. But not once that I can recall have they blamed their behavior, their misuse of words on being tired because they're parents. Everyone else, that's the first thing that they go to in any situation. Oh my God.
SPEAKER_02And by the way, everyone is tired. I, your brain literally changes from pregnancy to one of the many changes is to allow your body and brain to tolerate fatigue more. I can say I've always had a lot of fatigue in my life. I have more ability now to tolerate sleep deprivation, et cetera, than I ever did before. I was just as tired before. I mean, I granted I have we're at like kind of an easy phase with the baby, but of course there's heightened areas like postpartum, the baby's two weeks old. Like, yeah, you're gonna be sleep deprived. But okay, Danny's on number four, the baby's a year old, he wants more kids. What are we missing here? Like, it's just such a excuse. And oh my God, Jesse's dramatics with like Isabella and holding her to this standard and and that she's this, and it's like creepy, first of all, because he's using his kid to kind of like boost his morality. And I'm sure if any of these men were single and dating or whatever they would do, they would like talk about their baby. Oh my god, we're so close, like on the first date or something, just to kind of like build that emotional rapport with someone. It's total bullshit. It's what Jack's Taylor used to do. I mean, that we when we he was on our screen, even though he was totally not present, I'm not saying these other men aren't present. It seems like they actually legitimately are very present, but clearly Jack Taylor's not. And he would do this whole like, I'm a father now, blah, blah, blah. It's like, yeah, but what else? Like, you actually that doesn't mean anything. Like, truly, it just means that you have your genetic composition into a child, and that's it. It means nothing. It doesn't give you a pass, it doesn't like nothing. It's it's and it's totally negating people's real struggles and challenges that don't have kids. And what it does, I've said this before, but what it does is it completely takes away the argument, it makes it, it stops any conversation in its tracks with someone who doesn't have kids because it just like, what are you gonna say to that? And then it just diminishes their whole experience because, well, I have kids, so I'm allowed to do it. You're not literally, you're not. You still have to be a person on this earth. By the way, you chose to have kids. All those people on the stage chose to have kids, okay? This is not a forced situation. I gotta shut the fuck up because I could go on this a long time.
SPEAKER_01Well, someone that I haven't ranted about yet that I feel like I need to- I need a rant from you because I feel like I'm really on one today, and I'm gonna need you to take take the reins for this. Well, I will for a little bit. I think I went off the rails last episode about Luke. Thankfully, uh, Kristen and Luke weren't as much of a focus this episode, but what I will say, I want to tip my metaphorical hat off to the producers for their work in putting what Luke was saying under his breath through the entire episode in subtitles. This man is evil, okay? He is is is, I think, probably so, so, so deeply ingrained in the manosphere and how he thinks about women, talks to women, interacts with women that don't have a male partner by their side. When Lala was going off about her thoughts about Danny, Luke said under his breath, fuck her. That and in it was in a very like angry tone when Kristen was talking about how she would get frustrated that Luke would go out and while Kai was young and to have his own time. He was he said, You're saying I was going out all the time. This isn't true. He is so tightly wound in wanting to present himself as a good person, but the cracks are cracking. His eyes are still yellow. The grifter's coming out. We did our HR deep dive. He's a grifter. The grifter's coming out, and I feel bad for Kristen. I know that she really wants that family unit. Even Andy said that he thinks that these two should go back to couples therapy. Which fair, yes, like they have some things to work out, but like I don't want this for Kristen. Like, I know she probably has or has done a lot of work on herself, has a history of being male-centered. I think she hasn't decentered herself from that fully. And I also think it's problematic that she's so close to Danny and Nia because she clearly holds their relationship up on a pedestal of the epitome of what a quote unquote good marriage should look like. So I think if that's your example, you're not going to be able to use that to find the strength to push back on your partner that's treating you this way, that's talking to your friends this way, that is putting up this facade that's inaccurate to reality. And I really, I really have a big problem with him. And I think it's because the issues with Danny, Danny's problems are very apparent, right? It's tied to the alcohol. Luke is more sinister, it's not as in your face, it's subtle, it's little jabs, it's death by a thousand cuts. And I don't think if you're paying attention, you're not gonna see it. But I'm seeing it, and I don't like what I'm seeing.
SPEAKER_02I agree 100%. I think someone like him knows how to get away with the what his behavior is. He knows how to present as really kind and whatever, and that's the most dangerous type of person to me. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Woo! Any final thoughts on the valley before we take a pause and leave uh then until I'm just looking at my notes.
SPEAKER_02Oh, quick. I I mentioned this before. Oh, quick on the valley. A quick shout out to Brittany. I've been loving her this season. I think her I'm I'm very, very excited to see what the future brings and what she brings to TV, actually. Yeah, as far as advocating for herself, talking about her. I mean, for someone like her to name narcissistic abuse, say those words out on camera when she is so has historically tried to protect everyone, I just think it shows such growth.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And I am, I'm just really looking forward to seeing that side of her, especially parenting, parenting a child with autism, whatever. So shout out to Britney, that's all.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I agree. And something on that note, I think it was really big of the way she called out Kristen for how Kristen's comment that Britney has a drink, has an issue with alcohol, because she so easily was able to be like, you saw how Jack's weaponized behavior and lies last season and Big Bear to paint me out to be a bad mom, a bad person, irresponsible, and you did the same thing to me. So I think it's it's really important when Lala, Jasmine, Brittany are giving these examples to Kristen that they're able to name specific instances for Kristen then to think about. Because I think a lot of times, just in arguments in general, they'll say, like, there have been instances where you say things all the time, but in the moment, no one's able to pull specific times to refer back to. I think that one was really important. And hopefully, maybe Kristen will start being an equal opportunist in how she defends and shows up for her friends.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think that's gonna be really difficult while she's in a relationship with Luke, and or if Luke isn't willing to sh look at his own behavior is and my suspicion with the therapist thing is that probably the therapist discontinued therapy with them because probably Luke was just not willing and not participating and and whatever. So that gives me a red flag, and and I hope for her and her family and everything that that's not what happens, but it's not looking good. Not looking good at all. Nope.
SPEAKER_01And with that, let's transition to talk about someone that is familiar with this group of people, but is now blazing her own path. We're talking about House of Satsi.
SPEAKER_04Okay, how are you existing right now, Georgie? I had to pay you $2,000 over the last two weeks just so that you could live, but I didn't ask for that. This is diabolical. I'm doing everything for you. I am keeping this bitch alive. You don't have a job. It doesn't matter. You're homeless. Okay, are you joking? You kind of sound like an ungrateful winch.
SPEAKER_01We dipped our toes in the house of Stasi of it all last week. Have you finished watching all the episodes?
SPEAKER_02Oh my gosh. Well, I did, and I realized this morning that I didn't finish, so I yes, I finished, but I realized this morning, so it's fresh off my brain because I didn't finish the last half of the last episode thinking I had finished the whole season. That's the biggest part of the whole season. So that's I watched that just a few hours ago. Excellent.
SPEAKER_01Before I get into because I clearly you're gonna have a lot to say about Stasi and Bo and their dynamic. I really want to talk about Stasi's dynamics with her family. That conversation that she had with her mom, her brother and sister at Georgie's housewarming party. Because yikes kind of tying back to the conversation that we had about Hayden and her mom. I'm getting the same vibes from Stasi's mom. Like she clearly wants to be there because she wants her own come up, right? She thinks that she can use her daughter to do that, to get that attention.
SPEAKER_02And she resents she resents Stasi and her fame, yet. Uses it for her own monetary gain. And then I think part of the reason she also wanted to be on camera was because she doesn't trust Stasi's narrative. So she probably told herself, Well, I want to be there to like set my own narrative. And her goal, I mean, that conversation when they're on the bed with her mom and Stasi was so enlightening to me. It told me every single thing I need to know about their dynamic. It her mom is a narcissist, 1000%. And her mom going into talking about her medical issues and how Stasi doesn't care. And then immediately when her mom calls her out, she said, What about you and all the things that you've done to me? In the end of the day, a parent is a parent. And you need to, as a parent, be able to take your child, throwing jabs at you, whatever, because that child or adolescent or adult or whatever in the dynamic is not responsible for your feelings. And they're not responsible for knowing what they're saying and knowing the gravity of it because they're not, it's not developmentally appropriate to think that and and then to her holding a oh, sorry. Okay. Okay, go, go. I gotta, I gotta like calm down.
SPEAKER_01My nervous system's getting heightened. You said something that that set my mind off a train of thought. Stasi's mom wanted to be on the show because she doesn't trust the narrative that Stassi would put forward. Absolutely think that's correct, but I think it's more indicative of clearly her paranoia and her mom wanting to control the situation. Because I don't think if Stasi's mom wasn't actually on the show, that that relationship would have been a storyline at all. I think it's only a conversation on the show because Stasi's mom wanted to be like, I want to be on the show and I want to be filmed. That's kind of the only reason why we got into that discussion. So, point one. Second, even in Stasi's confessionals or in her conversations about her mom, I can only recall Stasi talking really about how her mom made her feel. It wasn't necessarily specific instances or stories from growing up, aside from the one conversation where Stasi remembers being told that she she couldn't be an actress or whatever. And her mom, again, wanting to control that narrative, wanted it's not a retelling of her decades of of childhood. It was how she's feeling, and to not want your child to state their opinions or their thoughts or their feelings, that's really questionable and red flag to me.
SPEAKER_02Horrendous. Just I totally understand why Stacy has is it's almost like she clicks into this villain character because she knows it so well. And she's like, Oh, you want me to be a villain? Great, I'll be a villain. I've been a villain in my family my whole life. Yet these people are completely using her for her fame, money, access, whatever. And yet, kind of like holding her under their thumb so that she remains loyal and guilty or whatever. And the sister, this whole thing about the sister saying, like, I just want to spend more time with family, and no, girl. Yeah. No.
SPEAKER_01And what's crazy is that it seems like Stasi's a really generous person for the people that that she's close with. Like, I know Katie said that her joke about Stasy's only close with people on her payroll was a joke and not talking about anyone and specifically. I I think that maybe that was a pointed statement, but it seems like that's something Stassi wants to do. Like, she is like, if I have my own fame and notoriety and I can employ people in my life, I want to do that. So the fact that her mom wants to have this connection to her to have that own attention or her own fame or her own bank account increase or whatever. I think if she had a healthy and good relationship with Stasi anyway, Stasi would do that. Like she's trying to kind of circumvent and manipulate the situation and relationship for something that could be there if they actually had a deep and meaningful relationship to begin with.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and there's something in psychology, there's destructive entitlement and destructive entitlement, and we see it in many forms, but in this form, what that means is her mom feels extremely entitled to Stasi's money or whatever. Her mom feels that no matter, well, you did this, Stasi. And so her mom is justifying in her brain, well, I've been wronged, I've had this hard life, Stasi has always been mean to me, so she owes me. It's like this destructive entitlement is when people owe you things, when actually no one owes you really much ever. And the other thing is there's destructive loyalty, and that's what Stasi has, right? Where she's been conditioned to feel that, you know, she needs to take care of everybody and whatever. And then her this loyalty issue she's having is making it really hard for her to set real boundaries with her family. And I think that she's probably come a long way in setting boundaries, given the co-the-the other members of the family are very enmeshed with each other. She's clearly differentiated from that, and that's why she's the scapegoat. Oftentimes in family dynamics, someone who's able to break away from the negative patterns is seen as the scapegoat. And that's what Stasi is. I think something she needs to work on is her boundaries and loyalty. And it's not bad to help your family out. We should all help our family out in the ways that we can, whether it's money, emotionally, whatever. But to have an the entitlement of her family, and yet to have this entitlement and then to bring her down and constantly be putting her down, it's honestly like sad to watch.
SPEAKER_04Totally.
SPEAKER_01Well, another interesting dynamic on this show is her relationship with Bo. We got into a little bit last week. You have it fresh on your brain. The ready set, go. I want to hear your thoughts.
SPEAKER_02Okay, I'm gonna try to keep it brief, which is not my strong suit. In watching that last episode, uh maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but I really felt for Stasi in that that dynamic because I think that Bo has subconsciously been prepping everyone in the group to be on his side. I don't think they're saying what they're saying is necessarily wrong, but the ambush of it all is crazy. And him going along with the ambush is crazy. That's not healthy communication. I think they're both. I was listening to the Bish therapist the other day recap it, and she brought up a really good point that they're both really avoidant. Stassi thinks she's not avoidant because she is very aggressive in her communication, but she also is avoidant because she's actually not talking about issues. She's scared of therapy, et cetera. Bo is extremely avoidant. And I sort of understand their dynamic in a very different way because I'm kind of more the Stossy in my dynamic, and John is more Bo, like opposite occupationally, but um I feel like I can understand the idea of like, well, you never told me you felt this way, and this is your preference, and the other person seems really chill and easy, but then like you get made out as the villain because you're um, you know, the one that didn't take their opinion into account, but they never told you their opinion. So I understand that side of things, and I feel like that was brought out in the situation. Of course, like, you know, she has her issues, whatever, but I just I think the ambush itself, you know, it was for TV. Um, it made for good TV. I they're on a show, Stasi's done it to other people. Like, I kind of get that. But Bo, I understand why she had such a strong reaction. Because in I know what was really important to me, I noticed in that whole dynamic, and maybe we missed it, maybe they cut it out, but there was very little to no acknowledgement of Stasi's quality behaviors and quality that she brings people's lives. And I believe her when she said she's never said no to Bo and what he wants to do. And he probably doesn't ask her for it. And maybe she does in her own way, but they didn't bring up the fact that yes, she is a breadwinner, yes, she's supporting everyone, yes, she actually does spend time with her kids. And I think that's really triggering for her for a bunch of people to kind of like not acknowledge that she does spend time with her kids and do these things and and whatever, and not really see the side of things that she I think she is doing her best given her family situation, and people are really excited to be on her show and excited to be near her and in proximity to her. But it's almost like, okay, now you're too much. Now I'm gonna cut you down. Yeah, and I it seems to be a pattern in her life and personal dynamics, and it's very interesting. Okay, I'm done. Continue.
SPEAKER_01I I don't I'm not really that far off from your opinion of this. If you would have asked me last week, I would have been opposite of you, but having some space away from it, I think you're spot on. I think again is extremely non-confrontational. And I think that's the crux of it, right? Like if you are wanting, missing, or needing something in your main partnership, it's on you, bro, to have to use your words, put on your big boy pants and communicate what's going on. Because otherwise, Sas is just there trucking along thinking everything's hunky-dory, right? Like she doesn't know that there are these big foundational parts of his identity that he wants to lean into and dedicate more time to if he's not actually saying it. So that's on him for letting it build and build and get to a point of almost resentment. I do understand the fact that they're on a reality show, so the confrontation of it all sure had to happen. But if if they and they, you know, Katie, Taylor, Christina, maybe had this conversation or presented this information to Sassi in a different setting, I have to believe that maybe she would have reacted differently, won't have a stalked as much of an ambush, especially the fact that they're having this conversation with Bo there, with her sister there. It just was not a good mix of things. But I've seen a lot of discourts online saying what is the internet saying? Basically saying that like Stacy and Bo are their relationship is a huge red flag, they're not gonna last. They need to leave.
SPEAKER_02I don't agree with that.
SPEAKER_01I don't agree with that at all. I think that's a really dramatic way of reading this situation. I think that if Bo can work on his communication and Stacy maybe work on loosening the reins of control a little bit, not necessarily on Bo or what she will or won't let Bo do, but just about the perception of the relationship, what she feels she might lose if Bo is at home 100% of the time. I think it's not an easy thing to fix, but I think it's definitely doable. And I think their good qualities, the way that they complement each other, far outweigh this rift that we're seeing.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I totally agree. And I see them as both being having a lot of more good that outweighs the bad. I think that people want to think, you know, relationship, long-term partnership, marriage, whatever, that these sort of power dynamic issues or whatever are this breakup and runaway kind of thing. Um, also, I think it's really easy to pin this behavior on, oh, she's this evil woman or something. But this is to me, I I'm not seeing, oh my gosh, these are two people that are just completely not compatible. They don't want the same things. They actually do want all the same things. Yeah. And they want safety and home life and security, and they want to advocate for each other and they just are at a impasse right now. Yes, these kind of things can break up a relationship if you let them fester and get to these other places, but I don't see this as a fundament when it when relationships don't work out, it's when there's a really big fundamental difference in these in morality or goals or whatever. This is not that to me. I just think that people feel so uncomfortable within themselves watching these kinds of things play out on TV in a real way that they just think, well, you have to break up. But I think that's not what's happening here. I love when people break up. Like I think breaking up should happen a lot more often, but I'm not seeing that as a necessary step in this situation.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Right. Well, I have to assume that we're gonna have a season two at some point. I hope so.
SPEAKER_02I love I I enjoyed watching the show. I thought I thought it was fun, well produced. I liked the scenery of even the last scene. I'm hopeful that Stasi will lean into taking a little more accountability on the what she calls the cancellation, but actually is the racism. Um, I'm hopeful that that will happen. But overall, I really liked the show and I thought that it was fun, and I I hope it continues. Okay.
SPEAKER_01All right. Okay. Last couple topics. There's an upcoming rant from me about Real House News of Orange County. I am so excited for your Orange County rant. I've been waiting for days. But before we get there, I want to touch on Ultimate Girls Trip for a bit.
SPEAKER_04I feel like we're all here because we watched the I didn't know Scott prior to this. But for her honoring me, it was really special, and I really appreciated it because it's true. If we bombed out season one, too, there would have been no other franchises.
SPEAKER_01It was actually crystal. No crystal?
SPEAKER_04No.
SPEAKER_01There have been two episodes celebrating the 20th season of The Real Housewives World. Have you watched it? Yes, I have. I, first of all, I think it's gonna be really good. We're only two episodes. I loved it. I think the the trailers, the sneak peeks of the rest of the season are very promising. But my main takeaway so far that I love I think this show is going to be justice and a redemption arc for the number one housewife in my heart, Baby Gorgeous, Lisa Barlow. Thought the same thing.
SPEAKER_02I've been loving watching her, I've been loving seeing this like lighter, brighter side to herself. I've also been loving watching Portia. Yes. She has the lightness and the brightness that I love about her. And I've actually, I am such, I am so critical of Kyle Richards, and I always have been. But I have loved because I always find her inauthentic and overproducing in the show. Yep. I'm loving seeing the side of her that's not doing that. And I wish that she showed that more on Beverly Hills because it's so much brighter and fun and not behind the scenes doing all these weird things. So loving that. I need Nene back on the scene. Seeing her face and Porsche together, it was like the world has healed.
SPEAKER_01Yes. Yes. The fact that was the very first scene of Nene showing up to Porsche. I knew Nene was gonna be on the show, but I just had assumed that it was going to be when they were in the Atlanta stop. So I was gobsmacked. I was not ready for it. And all the flashbacks, Nene's quotes, her best one-liners. We've talked about them a lot on this podcast, but it will never be enough. I could listen to that woman all day. She is Housewives to me. She is what broke the cultural zeitgeist of Housewives and she's just pop culture in general. I know Vicky Gunwilson wants to take all of the credit, but no, she's wrong. No, think we all know she's wrong. No, and I uh my heart is so warm that we gotta Nene.
SPEAKER_02I was dying over Nene saying, Oh, I heard you're dipping into the lady pond, and then Portia doing a scuba diving move. I was like, this is what I needed on my screen. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I don't know if I have that much more to say at this time about all. But actually, there is one more thing I need to say, and I think it's a really great segue into my rant about Orange County. And that is everyone so far has a problem with Vicky Gumbelson. She is the same person as she's always been. But I think the jig is up. I don't think we think her shtick is funny anymore. The way she was kind of coming after Teresa about paying her taxes, the way when Kyle was having her moment on her 30th anniversary with Mauricio, Vicky told her that she did fail her family, that she's making bad decisions of divorcing. That is not someone that is supporting your friends. That was projection to the nth degree. Vicky clearly has a lot of regrets for how she handled her relationship and the end of her marriage with Don. That should never be put on someone when they're clearly upset about the state of their own life and the direction that things have taken. And I will admit, when Vicky got her lifetime achievement award at the Brabos the other year, and Andy asked her to be come back, gave her orange, hands up, I was excited. I retract that excitement. I'm no longer excited. She's stale, she hasn't changed. That's transitioning to how she's behaving on Orange County, which it's the 20th season of Orange County. We are how many episodes in seven? I don't think there's been a good episode yet. I'm so bored. No one's bringing anything interesting. Vicky celebrating the fact that she got her Mexican residency angers me so much to my core, knowing her political alignment. I think it's gross. The fact that we have to watch her talk about that. It's so old, the way that she's coming for Carmela, the new girl, just classic Vicky. Again, going back to the fact that she hasn't done any self-reflection seemingly on herself, hasn't grown, hasn't changed at all. After being on television for 20 years, like you'd think there may be an ounce of that, but no, we don't have that. I saw people saying online that everyone harped on Tamar the past couple seasons for being too mean and too pot, too stern the pot, but now she's boring this year and that's ruined the show. I'm sorry. I don't think her being more subdued has ruined the show. I don't want to watch someone continually attacking people either. That's not enjoyable. I think this cast is just tired. I think Orange County needs to be put on pause the way they did in Rony, New York, even though that revamp didn't work. But maybe this next season will be good. I don't know. But I think we need to reassess what we're doing here because it's not enjoyable to watch as much as it pains me to say so. We need some new blood in there. We need some new energy because these ladies are not it as sad as I would be to not see Shannon Storm's menora on my screen anymore. She's the one bright spot for me so far at Arnold. The one. Her little just the way that she's able to be self-deprecating and be silly and be goofy but vulnerable at the same time. I think that's she's perfect. Perfect. I think that's what we want, but we're getting that from no one else. And I'm really over it. I again, in the name of journalism, will continue to watch. I'm really frustrated that this is what we're getting for the 20th season. And oh, it's terrible. Those are my thoughts.
SPEAKER_02It's terrible, and I'm totally with you with Vicky. And before we started that to work do this podcast, a few months ago, I started a rewatch of Orange County. And I just the energy in Vicky is so she seems like she's really stuck in as much as she hasn't changed. I do find that in the first couple of seasons, she has it's like her authenticity is there. And then all of a sudden it's like this recycled jokes and recycled things. And clearly she was really wounded by her relationship with Brooks, her divorce, and things like that. And it's like the Taylor Swift song when she says she's still at the restaurant. I feel like Vicky is still in season one, or whenever, whenever she divorced, like she's still at the restaurant with Dawn. She's still there, she's not dealing with her jokes, they are tired. There's nothing that's changed. There's I find it so uninteresting. Only redeeming quality is an ultimate girls' trip. I did find it very funny how she brought them the clipboards. Yes, that was and the hats.
SPEAKER_01And that was perfect. Because but other that's so on brand and so authentic to who she is. Because she gets so so much of a workhorse because she really thinks life insurance is important, which it is. But again, we liked that because that was an authentic side of her and something that you could actually see her doing in real life, not just for the bit of it all.
SPEAKER_02Yes, and the whole whoop it up thing and whatever. I'm so over it. It's totally glamorizing drinking in a way that's uncomfortable to watch at this point, like in 2026. I am over it. There's I could. Really move on from her. Yeah. And that's our truth. Oh, I have a thought. There's a lot of Discord on the internet, or not the internet, but in the podcast I listen to that is saying that Shannon's behavior, people are really tired of her shtick, they call it. And the she I don't think that she's has a shtick at all. I think this is who she is 100%. What do you think? Greed. I mean, people don't scream at each other in day-to-day life either. They do on these shows, but they put it on for the show. I'm sure Shannon, for the most part, is pretty chill, but you know, has some antics on the show that maybe she wouldn't have otherwise, but I'm good with that. Somebody brings something to the show.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think her shtick again is who she is at her core. We saw it from seasons past. In I think it was her first or second season when her daughters were sorting a rock and roll band. We uh saw how she acted around that. A rock and roll. Yeah, like and her costume at the 80s party. I was dying. At the 80s party when they went to Ireland and she wore the green sh wears a green shirt every year and it's top of the thin, done it. Yes. It is goo, and you might not think that's funny, which is fine. You can think that's not funny, but again, I think that's authentically who she is, being a weirdo. Yes. And I love that weirdo. Yes, same. Anyway, I would say I hope next week it's better, but I I don't have more hope for Orange County this season. But here we are. Here we are. And with that, I do think we need a palette cleanser. Okay.
SPEAKER_02Let me allow the listener to view some very this is what I found. I went to Bellingham on Monday for the night with a friend, and I was at a used bookstore. And yes, you see it right. Clueless mad libs, everyone. Clueless mad libs.
SPEAKER_00Hey, you're getting on the freeway! What? No turn right! Gotta delay! No, no, no! Okay, get the procedure. Just got the lake!
SPEAKER_03What do I do?
SPEAKER_02Obviously, I was gonna get it. We're gonna do it on the podcast. So I think how we're gonna do it is maybe I'll just flip to a random one. Yep. Yep. And then I will ask you the words to complete it. Perfect. And both Erin and I have the thing in common where we both know this movie very well. So I'm gonna just do a little flip flip. Oh, but it's an alaya. Okay, that's not a funny one. We have to go funnier, sorry. No, it needs to be funny. That's the whole point. Oh, this is great. Okay. Well, I'm not gonna tell you what it is. Um okay, so I need a noun. Noun. Apricot. Now I need a plural noun. Plural noun.
SPEAKER_01Street lights. Now I need an animal, an ant eater. Article of clothing. Jelly flip-flops. Color. Our troops. Adjective. I feel like I really want a good adjective here. Well, there's a handful left, so even if it's not great, you know it's okay. Okay. I mean, I feel like I'm gonna go with the adjective that we say the most, maybe on this show. Diabolical. Perfect. And then we need another adjective. Lovely. An adverb. Oh god, what's an adverb? I know, I was like something that describes an adjective, I think. Yeah. Hold on. Let me Google just to make sure. Oh god, my English teachers is an erb. An adverb is a word that describes or gives information about a verb, an adjective, or another adverb. Wow. Okay. We're just gonna go with very.
SPEAKER_02I'm laughing because honestly, we are educating the nation right now because everyone's on the trade. We're going over grammar 101. You're welcome. I forgot what. Yeah, exactly. Okay, now I need an occupation. Oh, an occupation.
SPEAKER_01A mortician. Thank you, Pedro Parks. Number 17. Verb ending in ING. Now I'm gonna say skydiving, but that's only because I have that weird country song that goes, I win ska dabin. Do you know that song? Um, no. Okay, maybe. You don't need to know it. I think it's from the 90s, early 2000s, or something, but yeah. That's in your head. It's but that's the only line I know, so I don't I have no reason for this.
SPEAKER_02I see. I have an Elmo song in my head. The Elmo Valentine's Day song. Perfect. Um, okay, exclamation. Oh. It could be oh. Yeah, let's just do that.
SPEAKER_01Oh. Okay. Great. Adjective. Sticky. Verb. Crying. Cry. Crying, whatever.
SPEAKER_02Adjective. Another one. Tilly. Verb past tense. Snoozed. The last one is noun.
unknownNoun.
SPEAKER_02Perfect. Okay, are you ready to hear this beautiful adventure called Cher's Digital Wardrobe Disaster? Oh god. Sharan. I'm scared. Cher digitally saves all her favorite clothes, clothing choices on her personal apricot. So she can mix and match street lights every day. Does the anteater print the jelly flip flip flops go with the striped skirt? Would a chartreuse shirt really go with diabolical leggings? Choosing outfits was the most lovely part of her day, but this morning she was feeling extra happy. That is, until her computer very paired Okay, that's not they put adverb in the wrong place. Very paired a pink scarf with a beige top. As if what if she was trying to look like an airline mortician? She hit the outfit button 17 times more. But the same combo kept coming up. Her computer was totally skydiving. Feeling frustrated, Cher shrieked, Oh, she was going to have to pick an outfit the sticky fashioned way. Panic set in as she tore through her crying closet looking for something silly to wear. Then she found it. A plaid skirt and a plaid jacket that Lucy had just snoozed at the dry cleaners. Luckily, Lucy totally saved the podcast.
SPEAKER_01It got broken. I do want what was that, an Anteater printed shirt that the sentence? Yeah, what is it? What would Anteater be? Is that kind of like an uh alligator print a little bit? I I I personally was just thinking of a picture of an anteater, just you know, in a pencil. I want that printed. I want that for my child. I mean, I'm sure one exists somewhere. People have to live open eaters. And on that note, that is your clueless mad libs. Wow. I enjoyed that. Wow. This is a great time. I feel like I need to take an angle through. Who the hell?
SPEAKER_02I mean, honestly, I bet if you had surveyed um every person in America at this exact moment, probably less than 50% would know what an adverb is. Okay. That is hard stuff right there. I'm in graduate school. I write papers all the time, and I had to review what an adverb was just now. So the thing is, whenever I knew what it was, because I said what it was, that I couldn't think of one, which I maybe use the word.
SPEAKER_01You did say what it was. I don't know. Um, it's fine. Okay. Well, that's what Google's for. Thank God. Well, I'm not now. I need to go to Ulta to buy new makeup because who knows when I'll be reunited with my personal collection. Yep. And I need to go pack up my house to move. Woo-hoo!
