Hey everybody, it is Mike from Caught on the Mike, and I wanted to take a few moments to pull the curtain back for all of my friends, that's you, on what's been happening behind the scenes, because I'm sure you know it's been a lot. If you've been following the show for a while, first off, thank you very much. Whether you've been here since day one or you just found the podcast within the last week, I want you all to know that you're the reason that I get to keep showing up week after week and doing this thing that I love. It's like a second full-time job, and I'm not mad at it. Now, if you've noticed a few little changes lately, or maybe even a few hiccups, there's a real good reason for that. Actually, there's several. Over the past several weeks, I've been making some of the biggest upgrades in the history of caught on the mic. Upgrades being the key word. The first one is an absolute huge one. You probably won't even notice it. I've officially moved the podcast to a brand new hosting provider. That may not sound all that exciting on the surface, but it is going to completely change how you experience the show moving forward. Uh, you know, we added video two years ago. For the first time, full video episodes won't just live on YouTube, they'll also be available directly on Spotify and Apple Podcasts as well, giving you the option to watch or listen wherever you prefer. That's always been a goal of mine since I started this thing and for a long time. And we're finally making it happen. So I'm going to be testing things out over the next week. On the YouTube side of things, I've also spent a lot of time reorganizing the channel. It was kind of a mess. I've updated playlist categories, descriptions, the overall structure to make it easier for new viewers and listeners to discover conversations they might have never heard or found before if I hadn't made these changes. The goal is simple. If someone is searching for a favorite artist, comedian, athlete, creator I've interviewed, I want them to find Caught on the Mic as a channel as a whole. Makes sense, right? So behind the camera, the studio has gotten a major makeover as well. I've upgraded both the look and the technology, better equipment, better lighting, better workflow, a cleaner space that feels more like the show has grown into itself. I wanted a studio that also reflects the quality of the conversations we're trying to bring to the table and the quality of conversations that we're having. And speaking of growth, since we're talking about growth, I've been fortunate enough to build some incredible new business relationships that are opening doors that I couldn't have on my own and doors I couldn't have imagined even a year ago. Those partnerships are creating opportunities not just for me, but for you. More exclusive interviews, some more of your favorite artists, giveaways, collaborations, and experiences that make being a part of this community even more rewarding. I hope that all sounds exciting to you. It sounds a lot like main character shit. I've also challenged myself creatively. Um, I'm putting more time and intention into every episode, every thumbnail, every reel, every social media post, and every piece of content that comes out under the cot on the mic name. Instead of just creating content, I'm building an experience. I'm trying to build a community around every single conversation. I'm excited about all of this. Now, with so many moving parts, I'd be lying if I said everything is gonna go perfectly. It doesn't, it hasn't. There might be a missing episode here or there for a while while things migrate. It maybe the video takes a little bit longer to process, maybe something doesn't show up exactly when it's supposed to. Technology has a funny way of kind of making decisions for us and reminding us who's really in charge sometimes. But those bumps in the road are temporary. And what we're building, or what I'm really trying to build, is something much bigger than a platform change or a studio upgrade. You know, we're building a community, we're building a better cot on the mic, and I'm excited about that. Better audio, better video, better accessibility, better interviews, better content, better opportunities. I'm glad you're all on this ride with me. Five years ago, I started this as an idea. Today it has become a community that continues to grow because of every guest who trusted me with their story. Uh, everyone who's ever listened, everyone who's ever hit play, every subscriber, everybody who's ever shared an episode, and every single person who's believed in what we're doing today and the growth of the show. So thank you for sticking with me through all of these changes and all of these years, and uh, I can't wait for you to see what the next chapter of Caught on the Mike is going to be because I feel it's gonna be the biggest one yet. I genuinely just believe we're just getting started now. So I'll see you in the next episode. Thank you so much for being here. Make sure you hit subscribe, make sure you share my shit, and if you see me on social media, give me a follow. I really appreciate that.
