SPEAKER_01

What's up, Kelly?

SPEAKER_02

Oh much same. What's up with you?

SPEAKER_01

Not a whole lot. It's been a great weekend. It's been a busy summer, and here we are doing our next episode. I can't believe it's been a week.

SPEAKER_02

I know. Since our last. So it's so it's Monday again now. So why we decided to do these on Mondays, I have no idea. Because, you know, maybe to make our Mondays better. Because Mondays used to suck.

SPEAKER_01

I agree. They are making our Mondays better. I agree. A lot better.

SPEAKER_02

And I get to see you every Monday now.

SPEAKER_01

I know.

SPEAKER_02

And that's our standing date now.

SPEAKER_01

I know.

SPEAKER_02

I love it.

SPEAKER_01

So I have a date night with you on Mondays, and I have a date night with my mom on Tuesdays.

SPEAKER_02

And I start bowling on Tuesdays.

SPEAKER_01

I forgot you're gonna be bowling with your girls team again.

SPEAKER_02

And I have the best girls team. And we're adding uh Jenny this season.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, Jeff's Jenny. Uh-huh. No way, that's awesome.

SPEAKER_02

I just saw her just a little bit ago.

SPEAKER_01

Um, so I want to talk to you about bowling a little bit. Um, I joined a boiling league one time.

SPEAKER_02

A boiling league?

SPEAKER_01

A bowling league. And the bowling was amazing. That's kind of what it was. I sounded like at the end of the bowling night.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, see, I don't drink when I'm bowling.

SPEAKER_01

Good for you, I did.

SPEAKER_02

League, it's important.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, God. I moved back from Wyoming and my our friends got us into some bowling league. And I was like, yeah, I'll do it. So four of us did it, and blah, blah, blah, whatever. And that first night, I met some really good friends that night because of it. And I was bowling. I got my ball and my thumb stuck in the deal, and it drug me down halfway through the lane. Night one of bowling. And first of all, my handicap ended at the end of the season at 118. I think at that time it was 54.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, it was horrible.

SPEAKER_02

But no, no, the lower the handicap, the better.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, so I shouldn't say handicap.

SPEAKER_02

So your average. Yes, my average.

SPEAKER_01

Probably my. I don't even know the bowling lingo anymore.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, well, I got a big bigger one. I did at the end. I know you do it. Stop messing it up.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god. Well, I got that ball in and I was like, yeah, we're both. You know how excited I get when we're in an event or doing something? And that ball got stuck in my thumb, and it took me halfway down the lane. So I'm like, well, uh, I'm already like embarrassed, so let's embarrass myself some more. So I took my shirt off and I started swinging my shirt up in the air. And BJ, Lindsay, and this other couple um were my friends at that time, and and they were uh down at the other end of the lanes, and they said, We want to do shots with those people and became the best friends. Oh like great friends. That I'll in fact, I saw one of their daughters, I saw them this weekend, so it was great. Anyway, bowling does bring people together.

SPEAKER_02

It does bring people together. Uh, we do Vegas bowling too. That's always really fun on Saturday. I've done that with you once, yeah. That's fun. That is fun. It's really fun when you get your ticket called and can actually like perform in front of people, but that is where I have a problem is like having to have the whole place stop, and then you just me going up by myself.

SPEAKER_01

I've seen you do that before.

SPEAKER_02

No, it's scary.

SPEAKER_01

I know, and okay, I want all the listeners to know Kelly, when she goes bowling, has this amazing technique though. And when she gets set and she has her ball in hand, she has this left leg, I think it's your left leg.

SPEAKER_03

It's my left leg.

SPEAKER_01

And it's like she's digging her foot in the dirt, wriggles her butt a little bit, she gets stable, and then she kicks ass every time, too.

SPEAKER_02

I do not, but thank you. I appreciate it. You're welcome.

SPEAKER_01

No, you do kick ass. I think you're way better than I am.

SPEAKER_02

It's actually really just a fun time, and um, the friends that I have on the bowling league.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Bowling league, and then our little team. We're just such good friends. It's great.

SPEAKER_01

You guys are good friends. I love it. I do love it. Oh my god, you are you're an awesome bowler, and I love every ounce of that. That is I had another question, I can't remember what it was, but um, we need to go do Vegas bowling soon. Yeah, that would be great.

SPEAKER_02

It's always less busy during the summer because everybody else is out like boating and stuff like that, and we don't have boats yet.

SPEAKER_01

So well, doesn't bowling last like 92 weeks in a year?

SPEAKER_02

Um like it's a long season. League bowling is very, very long.

SPEAKER_01

So what does it go for?

SPEAKER_02

My my friend who's on the team, Nicole, she always says that it takes less time to have a baby than it does to bowl a full season of the biggest. No way. Yeah, so it's like it's like uh nine and a half months we we have to it's kind of like hockey.

SPEAKER_01

I announced the hockey team here in Helena, the Helena Bighorn's, and I think we start the September, because you start in September, right?

SPEAKER_02

I start late August.

SPEAKER_01

Late August, okay. I I oh late August. So so September to March is ours, but don't you go to like May? Yeah. So you're like end of August to end of April.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god.

unknown

I know.

SPEAKER_02

So wait, is that nine months or am I just like seems like ten months to me?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah, right. We'll do the math later.

SPEAKER_02

So it's so is pregnancy, actually.

SPEAKER_01

It's a it's eight months. Eight to nine months, yeah. But think about that in one year, you're doing that for almost a whole year.

SPEAKER_02

I know, and that's why we have such a great team so that we can rotate out, and so it's not every Tuesday that I'm going every Tuesday.

SPEAKER_03

Right.

SPEAKER_02

But we do have a core four that uh plans to be there every week. Right. And then we have some um subs you know, substitutions, yeah. So it's great.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, absolutely. No, it's fun. I love bowling. Um, yeah, I what else did you do this weekend? Oh, this weekend. I um so uh we went to the Three Forks Rodeo in Three Forks, Montana, and we went with the same friends that I got to see that we we met. Oh, by the way, we love animals and we want our animals on our podcast. And Maggie just literally walked right up to me talking and saying hello. So she's saying hello too. Megan, Maggie and Tyke. So Tyke is drinking some water right now, and we're both giggling behind the scene. But um, three forks rodeo is good. My friend Katie, her son is in wrestling, and I had this bet on how many 50-50 raffle tickets I could sell at the rate rodeo to help the wrestling team.

SPEAKER_02

Because were you announcing it?

SPEAKER_01

No, I was not, I was just there. Just helping sell the well, I wasn't even gonna go. We just all we did at the three forks rodeo was go to the parade, the street dance, and and drink beer on the porch. It was and then their house is like everybody comes to their house and it entertains it. But I had this bet on how many tickets I could sell in an hour, and I bet on a thousand. So I made the thousand, uh-huh, but I bought a hundred dollars worth of tickets, uh-huh, and the tickets that I was keeping to see if I was gonna win the 50-50, Jimmer took my tickets away and thought that they were going into the bucket to draw for it. So I get didn't even get my tickets. Thank God maybe one of them. I don't even know if they were drawn or not. But to make a long story short or longer, because you know how I do. That is what I do. Um, I basically sold, I thought I'd sold a thousand and five dollars worth of tickets, but I sold nine hundred and five dollars because of your hundred. Because of my hundred, and he put those tickets in and he counted them as that. So I was gonna win a hundred bucks from our friend Carl, and Carl's like, Well, I had to be honest with it. I know because I didn't think lying to him of being like, no, we actually did reach $100 or thousand a thousand dollars worth.

SPEAKER_02

Like a thousand dollars, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

My god, I was like, I have to be Jibber's like, I felt bad. He's like, I don't even know if I want to go and hang out now because I feel I don't don't feel bad about it. Like, let's have fun. Yeah, but um I paid for the tickets twice basically, and that was it. But we did raise the money within an hour.

SPEAKER_02

Good. And so we took what was it raised for?

SPEAKER_01

It was raised for uh the boys' um Katie and Carl's kiddos wrestling team.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, gotcha.

SPEAKER_01

And then um, so instead what we did is we went and got scratch tickets, the high-end ones, like $30, $20 tickets, and we did we won a $10 free ticket, not the million or $500,000.

SPEAKER_02

You know, Mike and I won once on a scratcher.

SPEAKER_01

How much?

SPEAKER_02

$1,500. No way, yeah. And so when we went and uh That's like a good shake a date date. I know, yeah, it was the most I'd ever won in one sitting, you know. But so it was these really cool scratchers, and they were five dollars a piece, and then and then I would win constantly like 20 bucks or whatever, and I would always re-invest. Yeah, and then one time I had like you know, four or five of them, and Mike and I were scratching, and he saw the one, and then he was like, uh oh, and he saw the five, and then he saw the zero zero. And um, thank goodness it was exciting, yeah. It was exciting, it was weird. I was like $1,500 on a scratcher, what is that?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, my God, I would love to win that. Yeah, I mean, just having $15 in my pocket right now would be nice.

SPEAKER_02

And remember, you were there when I won my very first shake it ever.

SPEAKER_01

That's right. That's kind of what brought us into our friendship.

SPEAKER_02

On what numbers?

SPEAKER_01

Threes, yes, which is my favorite number. I have the tattoo of 333 for body sphere of mind, whatever whatever about that.

SPEAKER_02

Um, but yeah, that's how we became I think that day solidified the corner of our uh friendship.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, because you made so much fun of me for running around and being like, Well, let me tell everybody here our amazing listen by the way.

SPEAKER_01

Um, I'm gonna continue this, but thank you for our first 50 listeners on our show right now. Yes, this is incredible. Um, we didn't even think we'd get five, and we got 50 as of our first post. So thank you to our first subscribers and getting the show going. But um I'd love to branch off, and I forgot what I was gonna say now.

SPEAKER_02

Well, we were talking about me winning Shakeaday, but we somehow got back to you.

SPEAKER_00

So I well, we always do. We always get back to me. Timmer's always like, you don't have to be the center of attention all the time. And I'm like, yes, I do.

SPEAKER_03

That's why we love you. So true.

SPEAKER_02

So anyway. I am going to interrupt and say something. Yeah, please do. So last week we kind of uh touched on the fact that we had bought a URL a while ago.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah, please bring this up.

SPEAKER_02

It is um actually active now. We have a full-blown website. Um currently it only has the messy pilot on it, as you most of you probably know. But the uh website is uh shittockcorner.com and just all spelled out, you know, no spaces, no dashes, no nothing. Shittopcorner.com. Yep. So that is our official name, and um, whatever we were trying to do last week with the extra S's and the extra and we were nervous. We were nervous.

SPEAKER_01

We both were looking at like we're still on one mic because we're getting our better interface in the mail, like literally, we've been checking it before we did this podcast.

SPEAKER_02

And we decided to just FedEx is too late.

SPEAKER_01

Um, they're busy today.

SPEAKER_03

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Um, but yeah, uh I also interrupted you last time um with you wanted to talk a little bit about Pride coming up, but um the the shout out on our subscribers and the um the website we're super excited about now. And it is just shit.com.

SPEAKER_02

We have a Facebook page and an Insta page at this point. Um those are about the only two social medias that I'm really versed in. Yeah, I at once. We're learning. So we're learning as we go. We will be posting this on uh other uh media that your podcast listens, but right now it's just on Spotify, uh Amazon Music, and Apple Music. So we figure we cover the biggest ones first, you know, and then we'll figure it out down the road. Yeah. So uh the next thing that I wanted to talk about is that Pride Weekend is coming up.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

It is August 2nd through the 7th, I believe.

SPEAKER_01

So can I reilliterate something?

SPEAKER_02

No.

SPEAKER_01

Pride month is in June, and you've said no, so I'm gonna stop.

SPEAKER_02

No, no, no. You said reiterate, not reiterate, so I was giving you a crap.

SPEAKER_01

My God. I went to the weirdest high school, they taught me different ways, and I'm not gonna say that high school out loud. Yeah, don't my grammar's horrible, but I can write like a little whatever.

SPEAKER_02

You're great, you're great.

SPEAKER_01

Can I reiterate? Yes. Okay. Yes, you can before you get started on this. Pride month is in June.

SPEAKER_02

For other people.

SPEAKER_01

Well, no, for Montana too, but the Helena Pride is the big Montana Pride. Right. And um, I want you to go from there because we do it in the beginning of August, so that er all the other ones in Montana can do theirs in June, and then the big one happens at the beginning of August.

SPEAKER_02

Exactly, exactly. Yeah, he's go ahead. He is correct. Uh I I do know that, like, you know, um June in most places. I don't think just Montana. I think June is a big one in other states too.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Um, but I love that Helena does it in August, not because it's so flipping hot during that week, but I love it because it it includes everyone. Everyone else from all the other cities that want to be in the biggest Montana Pride can come because they didn't schedule it at the same time.

SPEAKER_01

So we will be walking in the parade. We got a banner.

SPEAKER_02

Yep.

SPEAKER_01

We've got some stickers to give out, and um, thank thank God for Kelly, she's so good at all this computer work. As we all know, I am not at all good with the computer. I mean, editing the last one I about gave my computer a flying lesson. Um, she's gotten us some stickers. Um, we're just gonna walk out and introduce ourselves and just make sure that we make sure that the LGBT, the whole alphabet, and straight people in all alike, yeah, we want to go hang out with you guys, so please come.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah. If you if you're in Helena or the Helena area or anywhere in Montana, drive over. It's a great week. Um but the parade, the most the biggest events are Friday and Saturday. Yes. Uh and I don't know that I told I I'm not sure if I told you, but I took that whole week off of work, regular work.

SPEAKER_01

I didn't, but I'll be off on Friday.

SPEAKER_02

Well, that's fine, but um, I don't want to work at my regular job.

SPEAKER_01

I have an auction on that Thursday, and then I'll be back Thursday evening and whatnot. I gotta look at my schedule.

SPEAKER_02

Same burns.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I'm a busy man.

SPEAKER_02

I know you are.

SPEAKER_01

Trying to hire me to do something. It's just crazy.

SPEAKER_02

You gotta take that week off every year. That's gotta be.

SPEAKER_01

I know, but I couldn't do that. I couldn't. This is a new new auction, higher end. All right, all right. It's the Western Exchange. I'll get the name right for the next podcast.

SPEAKER_02

Um, speaking of getting the name right, I do want to put Oh, yeah. I do want to point out really quick from the first uh podcast, our messy pilot, I incorrectly named NAMI. And it's still something that's really you know close to my heart. Um, but it is National Alliance of Mental Health or mental illness. Jeez, I can't even get it right then. Uh the rest of what I said about it was absolutely true. I just got the A wrong, and I'm very sorry about that, but uh I'd like to correct it in this one.

SPEAKER_01

So yeah. I think because we are all forgiving people, they're gonna forgive you too.

SPEAKER_02

I agree.

SPEAKER_01

I don't think that would be a big deal, but thank you for re-erarating.

SPEAKER_02

Realliterating is not. I can't say that name.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, here we go on words again. Last week was moist, this week is re-rearing. Re-alliterating.

SPEAKER_02

Shout out to my sister who uh posted the word moist in our uh family group chat. Yeah. Everybody laughed.

SPEAKER_01

They did laugh. Oh my god. Okay, so how was your weekend then? What did you do?

SPEAKER_02

You know, uh, I was stressed about the podcast all the time. Yeah, you did. That's okay. And then I had my favorite toddler.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Charlotte came over and she stayed with me. We went to the Highlander Games where the guys with kilts throw, you know, balls of iron and I totally forgot about that.

SPEAKER_01

And you went to the school-ish Highlander games where you throw big logs in the air and catapults. And did you see a catapult?

SPEAKER_02

No, so we got there a little late because as you know, I also work at Pop Ray's a tiny bit. And so we just didn't get there in time to like see all that, and then it was hotter than balls out. It was just so how do you know how hot well are? Um, and Charlotte was great. She was she just kept getting out of her stroller and wandering around. You know, she's great. Um, but I tried mead for the first time.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, you had your first mead.

SPEAKER_02

I did. I had a couple of different ones because they had a booth where you could try it.

SPEAKER_01

I'm interested.

SPEAKER_02

And she had me try just the basic one, which is, I think, mostly honey.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

It was a little sweet, and then I tried a ginger, like almost like a ginger beer one, ginger lime kind of situation. And Mike tried a spicy one. I did not try that. He said it was really good though, it was really spicy. And for Mike to say that it was spicy is is good.

SPEAKER_01

So I've got some Scott Irish blood in me from being the mutt of an American IM. Well, first of all, I would have said, Can I have a Coors Light instead of mead? Because I think drinking mead's like eating the ass end of something.

SPEAKER_02

Well, so this was just a selling the bottles, you know, and we got to try it. But they said warm? Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. That's what I mean. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

But then they had a uh a beer truck, and so you could have gotten a coors light.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, good.

SPEAKER_02

These are just little samplers.

SPEAKER_01

I'm doing the Catholic sign, but I'm actually Luther. Lutheran. Yeah, I am Lutheran. Not practicing, but I was raised that way.

SPEAKER_02

Well, I'm a non-practicing Jew, so there we go.

SPEAKER_01

We we hope. Oh, you were?

SPEAKER_02

I didn't know. No, I'm non-practicing. I just have in my blood.

SPEAKER_01

But I was all about like, you are non-practicing?

SPEAKER_02

I am non-practicing.

SPEAKER_01

I didn't listen right away.

SPEAKER_02

Exactly what I said. Do you ever?

SPEAKER_01

You know, I listen, but it takes me, I'm a goldfish. It takes me like three seconds to really get to like you know, we just sat here doing our meeting stuff, and I was like, you would say something three seconds later, I was like, Oh, you're yeah, yes, yeah. Okay, let's talk about that for a second. Why can't why is it when I touch a computer, nothing works? But when you touch a computer, it's like you're taking care of an orphaned kitten that you literally have.

SPEAKER_02

Everyone, everyone at my uh job at the state says the same thing. They message me, the computer's not working. I walk into the room, oh God, it's working now. And you know, I still have to pretend like I'm doing a job, you know, like I have to move the mouse. Oh, yeah, it is working, you're right.

SPEAKER_01

You know what's weird about that? I used to adjust eyeglasses. Oh, and there is certain clients really have had a wide reproduction of the colour.

SPEAKER_02

Oh no, eclectic group.

SPEAKER_01

I I've been a certified peroptometric. I'm not gonna get in all that, but I was a certified peroptometric, which is basically a glorified lens and glasses guy. And these certain customers would come in. I'm not gonna say their names.

SPEAKER_02

Don't say their name.

SPEAKER_01

Because I can't even remember them actually. But they'd come in and I'd be like, oh fuck. Why? Why do I have to deal? So I learned that they're like they were so particular because they could feel every part of their like uncomfortable glasses on their face, and I'd just them. And it's basically a glorified optician. And I would take their glasses, and we had this counter that they couldn't see what we're doing down here, down below. And I would take their glasses and tap it on the counter and not really do anything. Pretend I was playing with them a little bit and like swing them around in circles, you know. Trying to I'd go over to the cleaning machine and go tap tap. I'd take a tool and I'd pretend I'm bending something, and then I'd go put it back on their face and like, oh my god, it's perfect. I mean, this I'm shit talking this because I'm like, those people I think just needed company and needed somebody to talk to for the day, and it was one of their errands on their list.

SPEAKER_02

But after that is why you became a bartender? Because you can you can comfort people.

SPEAKER_01

I went to nursing school too. I thought maybe if I'm gonna be a bartender, might as well help people doing it instead of getting them drunk. So I went to nursing school and COVID hit, you know, but whatever. But anyway, they put their glasses on and they'd walk out of there with the happiest thing ever. My hat is like sideways with these headphones. I literally just went to go adjust my hat and my bills like over in Canada. Anyway, so that's what happened. Can I just adjust it? Okay, there.

SPEAKER_02

You could do whatever.

SPEAKER_01

Now my hair underneath it feels funny. Anyway, food for thought.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my goodness.

SPEAKER_01

So um, yeah, so that was a fun moment.

SPEAKER_02

So nursing school, you went to nursing school.

SPEAKER_01

Um God, I love nursing school. You know what I like the most in it was chemistry.

SPEAKER_02

Oh.

SPEAKER_01

Um, and you know I'm a very vocal person and like Jimmer says, center of attention. Um, Dr. Hartman was my chemistry teacher, and I thought about skipping nursing and going right into chemistry, and then I thought, ooh, with my creativity, that might be a bad thing.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, what do you do as a chemistry major?

SPEAKER_01

Um chemistry stuff. So you have no idea. Well, you know, you can work like like Ashgrove. Um, we're saying all these names and nobody's gonna know, but like certain you can go to like bio biolabs and you know, you can test like poop samples, pea samples, blood samples. So can you imagine me doing a poop sample? No, I think I would gag.

SPEAKER_02

I can't I can't imagine it.

SPEAKER_01

I'd gag.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, you'd gag.

SPEAKER_01

A lot.

SPEAKER_02

A lot.

SPEAKER_00

I'd be like, ew.

SPEAKER_02

Like, you know, when you say the word moist.

SPEAKER_00

Meaning, uh oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I gag.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Anyway, no, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

Anyway, we're gonna.

SPEAKER_01

The only thing I can think about a poop sample is you don't know how attractive the person is that gave you the sample.

SPEAKER_02

Who cares how attractive they're gonna be?

SPEAKER_01

Would you gag more or less if they're more attractive or less attractive? You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_02

If a really shitty sample came in and I found out that like the guy was good looking, I think I would just start judging everyone for that.

SPEAKER_01

I would be like I've seen a better poop sample on a blah blah blah.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my god. How did we get on that?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. We go from nursing. We went to nursing. Nursing.

SPEAKER_02

Yep, yep.

SPEAKER_01

Um actually that actually this weekend, we were all in a circle talking. Have you ever played music roulette? Uh is it roulette or you everybody gets to pick a song and you get a turn to play it, and we all dance or just hang out too and whatnot. So we were doing that, and then somebody brought up, have you I can't believe I'm saying this. Have you ever pooped or shit your pants?

unknown

Oh.

SPEAKER_01

And I have.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. I think most men have.

SPEAKER_01

And I heard some stories, but I was told my story was the best.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, but let's not tell it.

SPEAKER_01

No, we'll tell it another day. Yeah. Or if you see me in public, I'll tell you it personally. No, I'm not telling it.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, please don't.

SPEAKER_01

Because it's a porta potty, it's running to my dad's throwing clothes in the dryer and washer. Yeah, no, it was horrible. But the people that I told about our podcast is gonna listen to this now and they're gonna go, like, tell it, tell it, tell it. I'm like, nope, I'm not, I'm not putting myself on you like that. But then it started other stories of like people going through their poops. So everybody poops.

SPEAKER_02

They do, but you know, I personally have never pooped my pants.

SPEAKER_01

Good for you. I'm proud of you, actually.

SPEAKER_02

Thank you. I think it's even pregnant. You know, a lot of pregnant women have like less control.

SPEAKER_01

I feel sorry for pregnant women.

SPEAKER_02

Me too. That's why I just did one one and done.

SPEAKER_01

I have a cousin that's pregnant right now, and every time I see a photo of her on social media or something, she's just smiling and happy. Yeah. But is she I don't know. I don't know. I don't know, and I don't want to ask her because pregnant women hate me.

SPEAKER_02

What's that all about?

SPEAKER_01

They just hate me. I'm too much. And they're too much.

SPEAKER_02

Well, I was single while I was pregnant because I were oopsie. Um my dad was my favorite. Yes, I do love my son. Yeah, my dad was definitely my savior. Uh, there was just one time that I called him and I was just like, the only thing I want, like I was super pregnant. I was like, the only thing I want are chicken nuggets from McDonald's. And he's like, okay. And I said, can you just get me a 10-piece? And he said, absolutely, because that's the kind of guy he is. Yeah. They had just introduced their chicken strips. Oh, yeah. He bought three three packs of chicken strips. It was so expensive. And he brought it up. And I had a literal meltdown because if you are pregnant, what you want is what you want, and chicken strips are not the same thing.

SPEAKER_01

Was it the white meat chicken nuggets? Because you remember when the chicken nuggets had that like hard dark meat thing in there.

SPEAKER_02

I'm not talking about that.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, okay. Okay, keep going.

SPEAKER_02

But he went down the hill and got me the correct thing and came back, even though he probably spent like 35 friggin' dollars on those three packs. And he's like, I can only get you nine nuggets, you know, nug uh strips. And I was like, the nuggets come in a 10 pack. I was so upset.

SPEAKER_00

They're chicken nuggets, Dad. They're not fucking strips.

SPEAKER_02

I no, I was not mean ever. I was like, I'll eat them, but I just started crying.

SPEAKER_01

And so your dad had chicken strips that night.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, yes.

SPEAKER_01

And he went back and got you more, didn't he? Because he is the best. Because he's one of the best people out there. He really is. He is one of the most helpful people I know I've seen. I think I remember him coming to our auctions, buying. I think we had a bunch of like old those speaker bulbs.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, the old bulbs.

SPEAKER_01

And I think he we had a ton of them at one of our estate auctions. Sure, that was he bought those suckers up, if I remember right, but I remember that head of hair. Oh, I know. That head of hair is awesome. My mom thinks he's handsome.

SPEAKER_02

Everybody thinks.

SPEAKER_01

I said, wait till you meet his wife. She's a beautiful, awesome person, too. But yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So is is not for me.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Women who have my sister-in-law had three babies and she loved every single second of those pregnancies. I was not one of those people.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I had a friend that had twins. She was pregnant with twins. Beautiful girls. Got to see their sister this weekend. Um, so I went over to their house and she's uh fully on, full on about a month out. And I believe the babies were uh as twins usually are premature, right? Yeah. Um not premature, but early pregnancy. Yeah. Or and smaller.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Um share the womb. They share the womb. I'm pretty sure we'll get to that. I walked in their house and I walk in and I sit on their new glider rocking chair for the I think they actually had it for Ray Ray, but they kept rocking them back and forth and stuff. So I sit in the chair and I'm like, hey guys, what's up? What's happening? High energy Zane's in the house. And Lindsay goes, Stop rocking in that chair before I kill you. And I shouldn't have said her name there, but if she hears this, she's gonna go, she's gonna know. But I was like, oh, and so she looks at her husband, she goes, You guys need to go fishing. Yeah, and you need to go fishing right now. And I'm like, what is up? And she goes, You can't sit in that chair. I'm I'm I'm barely rocking. I was barely rocking, and she's like, I'm pregnant, I'm gonna kill you. Get out of that chair and go fishing. So we went fishing and we come back, and Lindsay's still like, go, you need to go. I love you, but you need to go. It's just my personality.

SPEAKER_02

Sometimes I send my husband away like that. Yeah, you know, I mean, yeah, sometimes it was probably more about her husband than you.

SPEAKER_01

No, it was you. No, no, no. BJ, BJ already knew what to do and knew how to handle it. I just walked in with like, hey guys, what's up? How's it going, motherfuckers? And she's like, nope, out of the house right now.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, with the name like BJ, he definitely needs to know what to do.

SPEAKER_01

Well, he literally was like, we're going.

unknown

Oh.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god. How did I miss that one?

SPEAKER_02

I don't know. Oh, you know, because I'm just too funny for this podcast.

SPEAKER_00

No, you're amazing on this podcast. I love it. I absolutely love it.

SPEAKER_02

I do have my stomach in knots. I don't know when that'll go away, but I'm having a lot of fun with this.

SPEAKER_01

You know what? This is gonna be a great time.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

It's gonna be a lot of fun.

SPEAKER_02

And I really just hope that people think we're entertaining at least. So far, the feedback is is no the feedback's.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, this is only our second episode. It's gonna be fun.

SPEAKER_02

Um it does feel like we've done a lot more episodes because we've done all the testing. One, two, three, test, test, test. Oh, that microphone's not working. Test, test, test, test.

SPEAKER_01

It's like when I'm at an auction. Yeah. Like you just know, like when you see a group of people in a setting and I'm doing my stage testing and stuff for the auctions, because I do benefit auctions. And um, it's they're fun and entertaining, and I sing and I and I um and I do c a little bit of comedy, and it's comedy that just comes up, but you'll be seeing people out in a crowd, and I do like, you know, the preliminary before the doors really open and people are walking around, all the workers are serious, and I'll get on the microphone and go, two testes. One, one, two, two, one, two, two testes. Testing one, two testes.

SPEAKER_02

I'm pretty sure that Mike and I have helped with auctions, and we've I forgot about that.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, you have.

SPEAKER_02

That's one of the funnest things we've done. It's an apple. Yeah, when I was selling those bottles of wine at uh the Turkey Foundation or remember that time? Yeah, I do. It was pretty fun.

SPEAKER_01

National Wild Turkey Foundation, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_01

We're gonna put a I'd like to put a lot of shout-outs to a lot of the benefit auctions that I do. And when we do our podcast, I want to shout that out. And one of them is the Wildland Firefighters. Um, what a group, what a great foundation to help families in need after a burn victim. And your husband is a firefighter.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, but wasn't this the one from Boise?

SPEAKER_01

We got flown into Boise and did one, and now we have four of them. We got some more coming up. So Boise, there's a bosom one getting featured now. Um, and then we do the uh Missoula and Calispo one.

SPEAKER_02

Perfect.

SPEAKER_01

Um, great foundation. I know we have some listeners in Boise, so I wanted to make sure that uh the next time that you're down there doing a Boise one, that they oh, I actually think then um when we do I think it's every two years it's their big one, and then they're gonna do another one.

SPEAKER_02

Um it must be next year, because it was last year when you did it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it was. It's coming up to like October, so it'll be next year, yeah. Um Burke Minor is amazing, he's an amazing guy. And having your husband be a firefighter firefighter too. Um a fireman. You trigger a song. I said, I don't know if I'm gonna do a song or not, but what's that? What is that song?

SPEAKER_02

I don't know. Sing it smart.

SPEAKER_01

It's uh I um I'll get it next podcast.

SPEAKER_02

All of our listeners are like, sing, it's this right now. I know I can't hear you.

SPEAKER_01

I can't, and I you know, being on the spot's hard.

SPEAKER_02

I know.

SPEAKER_01

It is hard. It is hard. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Anyway, I feel like I'm doing all the talking.

SPEAKER_02

Apparently, no, no, you're not. Uh apparently we just work that way on the spot. We just blink, blink, blink, blink, blink, blink, blink.

SPEAKER_01

Um not sure what blink blink blink meant, but I'm thinking it's more like wink, wink, blink, blink, blink, blink, blink, blink. It's like the tongue toasters we have to do. Big black bug, but a big black bang, but a big black baby, blink, bright, black bug, the brothum rub, time of your tatama stick two teas, and tatama top of two tall trees. Round the rock, the regular rock, the regular rascal ran. High five. High five. We missed.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah, we there it is. I have to look at your palm.

SPEAKER_01

I have to I look at the elbow.

SPEAKER_02

You look at the elbow? Yeah, you're gonna be.

SPEAKER_01

There it is. Look at the elbow. Mine, not yours. What the oh my god, I love you. I love you. Yeah, no. Um, so we got off track, and I didn't know where we're at.

SPEAKER_02

We're always off track.

SPEAKER_01

Um, so tell us a little bit about your husband firefighting. Like, he needs to get out and get one done.

SPEAKER_02

He does, yeah. He's chomping at the bid, isn't he? You know, last year was a quite a rough year, and there was some political uh administration stuff going on last year. We thought we had all the kinks worked out, and now there's just not fires that are neat that the the firefighters are needed for yet. Because other states have to run out of their own resources in order to call us. That's and right now Montana doesn't have any big fires.

SPEAKER_01

No, we don't, and I thought we were gonna get some because we did not have a winner.

SPEAKER_02

Well, he went out for two weeks in April.

SPEAKER_01

That's right.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, he did. We had that big snowstorm, and then the next week we're gonna have to get away.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

He well he loves doing it. He does. He's in charge of the truck, he's in charge of the guys that they go that go out um with this contract or the uh company that he works for. And he and so I always feel safe with him going out because he's in charge and he's very meticulous amongst a lot of other things. Yes, but no, I just know that they're safe because he's in charge.

SPEAKER_01

He's a very detailed person, very organized, very clean, but very and he's very articulate in what he does. Like he's pretty passionate on everything all the things. Very, very passionate. And you have to be in that line of work, like you have to protect everybody, right? And that's why like Burke Minor with the Wildland Firefighters Foundation. Like, you guys are coming to at least two of those auctions because I know Michael knows a lot of people and all that stuff, but it's just so cool. Yeah, it's so cool that things guys.

SPEAKER_02

Jimmer used to volunteer in wisdom. Is he gonna do it again in the use or no?

SPEAKER_01

He was the um he was the fire chief of the World Fire Department in Wisdom, Montana, and again, that's a population like that. I think they just got up to 104. I mean, what else do you do in the wintertime?

SPEAKER_02

We're talking about poly uh pol uh population again, and we have no idea.

SPEAKER_01

Oh no, we because we haven't done our research yet and sources yet, but we will.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

In fact, let's talk about that.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Um, we just want to get comfortable with this podcast a little bit, right? And and explain that a little bit more for us that we were talking about earlier that we're gonna bring on guests.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yes.

SPEAKER_01

And we would love some input, right?

SPEAKER_02

We're definitely gonna do it after we're a little bit more established.

SPEAKER_01

Give me a look of like, what the hell are you talking about? You're like, and then you and then I saw the lookup, oh yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I don't remember the meeting right before this. Was there a meeting right before this?

SPEAKER_01

Well, it was like three hours ago, right before this.

SPEAKER_02

Um we were talking about wanting to have guests on. Um, and you know, maybe it starts with people that we've already talked about in some of the past episodes, but we're definitely not gonna do that right away. We are we're gonna stick to us for a little while, and then and then we'll start introducing other people into it to just kind of, you know, if somebody wants to come on and talk about something specific that they're really passionate about, we would love to have them on.

SPEAKER_01

So like we have a friend right now, we're not gonna say her name because we want her to be a surprise because she is an interesting person, but she wants to talk about teaching. Yes, and she goes, I want to shit talk teaching.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I love it.

SPEAKER_01

And she's passionate about it. She is pro she's won an awards and she's amazing, so we'll bring her down the line too. But we just need to pick the best category, and I think the next episode we're gonna get to that. Yeah, like I think we're gonna figure that out real soon because uh I have a bunch of ideas, but it's just how do we get there and do it, right?

SPEAKER_02

And I really think that uh the way that we were talking today and a couple of the subjects that came up was uh how I want it to continue to flow. Yeah, you know, so I I really do hope that that continues like that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and we're gonna have some people do like special little corners of our talk show and um up shit talk corner, and you know, like we said something about Chris Morks Corner or something like that. We're trying to you know try to figure that out a little bit too. But we want certain people to come in every once in a while and just tell us.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I have a couple people who, you know, their their first name starts with Mike, uh Mike. Mike starts with M, like Mike.

SPEAKER_01

My name is Micah Saint Mo. Yeah, your name is Maka Kelly.

SPEAKER_02

So we might have a lot of minutes, Morks, minutes, mike's minutes, you know, stuff like that.

SPEAKER_01

I'm just gonna make it up as we go and have fun. Yeah, that's the whole thing. Like, you don't want it the same all the time. But we do have to have a little structure. But the cool thing is, Kelly, by the way, can we high-five you? Yeah, you have been on it. Like, I'm the editor, and you're the kind of marketing gal um getting us like set up for all this. So kudos to you. I'm very proud of you for that. Like, you're doing a great job.

SPEAKER_02

It's basically like right down my alley. That is the kind of IT I really want to do right now. In my regular job, I love it because of the people that I work with for the most part. But we were talking about servers and shit today at work, and I was like, I mean, I kind of know what a server is, but really I have no fucking clue what the server does. Well, see, and that's the thing.

SPEAKER_01

It serves the computer, right? I mean, does it give it like a cocktail? And and we're posted on the internet and then put on the ball game. I mean, what the hell is it? Um and don't tell us because we don't want to know actually.

SPEAKER_02

No, it's boring. So boring.

SPEAKER_01

I know when I first met you, I was like, so what do you do, Kelly? And you're like, it don't matter. And I'm like, it does to me. And you're and then you started talking about it. I was like, so John, how's your day going at the bar or whatever? And then and then you're like, see, I told you. He you lost me at five seconds.

SPEAKER_02

And then you clearly didn't listen to me when I told you what I did because you went out and bought a map.

SPEAKER_01

Well, one of our episodes is going to be ADHD, and if anybody has it, I'm a super power person on ADHD.

SPEAKER_03

Gotcha.

SPEAKER_01

I'm on the I'm on the spectrum. Yeah. And it's okay.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And I want to talk about that a little bit because it's debilitating some days. But we'll get into that another day. But um, it does make me not listen if I don't take my medication.

SPEAKER_02

Well, did you take your medication today? Because you've only not listened to me twice so far.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I have taken it today.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, so Adderall No last week, Adderall yes this week.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Oh.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I don't remember. Didn't I take it last week?

SPEAKER_02

I thought you said you didn't, but maybe I'm I think I was all hyped up on and everybody's yelling at us on online again. They're like they just listened to last week. They're like, yes, yesterday's episode.

SPEAKER_01

You were. Or no, you weren't, because we still don't know.

unknown

Don't know.

SPEAKER_01

I was talking to Jimmer and he's like, you guys just need to slow down and chill out and roll your roll, and like, you know, don't interrupt her all the time, Zayn. And I'm like, I know, but I'm so excited. I know I interrupt you, but today we're more calm. Like, yeah, I'm loving this.

SPEAKER_02

Today, I uh today, not today. I interrupt you as well. It's just how we talk. This is our conversation all the time.

SPEAKER_01

This is literally who we are. Yes, it's non-stop.

SPEAKER_02

So maybe that's where we kind of wrap up for the episode.

SPEAKER_01

Um couple things. Um, I would love to see more subscribers, yeah. Um, but very thankful for what we did get. Yeah, the other part is tell your friends, please, if you're enjoying the show, please help us out. Yeah, we are so excited about this. We have a lot to do and a lot coming up, and we want to change the world.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, for sure.
