We're back, and this time we've got a little more structure... but don't worry, we're still as real and unfiltered as ever.

In this episode, we bring actual topics to the table, share some laughs, tell a few stories, and somehow end up asking the important question: Are bison actually fluffy cows? (Yeah... it makes sense once you hear it.)

Shit Talk Corner is all about honest conversations, random tangents, and plenty of laughs. No scripts, no pretending, just two Montanans talking about whatever ends up in the corner.

- National Park Service (Yellowstone National Park): Our primary source for official incident reports, bison safety guidelines, dates, locations, and reported injuries. The NPS also provides a valuable research summary showing that 25 people were injured by bison between 2000 and 2015, with 22 requiring medical treatment and 12 being hospitalized.

- PubMed / CDC Study: Injuries Associated with Bison Encounters in Yellowstone National Park. This study was a key statistical source. It reports that 33 people were injured during 1983 to 1985 and confirms that, since 1980, bison have injured more pedestrian visitors in Yellowstone than any other animal.

- Smithsonian Magazine: Used for historical context and reporting on Yellowstone bison attacks, including the 2022 incident in which a woman was tossed approximately 10 feet into the air. The article also discusses historical injury statistics.

Hi Zane.

Zane

Hey Kelly.

Kelly

How's it going today? Good. It's going really good. How are you? I'm great. Good. It's another Monday. It is definitely another Monday. I'm excited about this. I am too. Today we actually bring some structure into our podcast.

Zane

I know. I'm ex- I don't even know what you have prepared for us.

Kelly

I don't know what you have prepared for us either. And sometimes that works.

Zane

Prepare for us.

Kelly

Prepare for us.

Zane

Last week I said boiling, and you said for us.

Kelly

You know what? Mine was mine was less embarrassing.

Zane

Totally. That's the story of my life, though.

Kelly

It is true.

Zane

Definitely a story of my life. Embarrass oneself and keep going.

Kelly

Well, that's why we're shit talk corners because we can shit talk each other, we can shit talk everything else. We're good to go. I love it. And that's what we get to do to today with our topics. Yeah. And also our topics, we may have, you know, quickly researched or researched our asses off, but uh we're not educating. This is not an educational. No, this is well, I mean, it's however they pick it up, but I am not going to educate anybody, Zane. Well, I'm not, I am the worst teacher. You're terrible. So bartending, like when you get a new person into bartend, you're like, hey, will you train them? I'm like, that's the last thing I want to do is train a new person. You know what I mean? Hey, did you ever work on a Saturday night when you had to change the clocks because of daylight savings? Yes. Oh, well, that leads me right into my topic today.

Zane

Oh.

Kelly

Last week I was sitting into a room with my family, and we all had different opinions about whether or not we should have daylight savings. Cause as you know, it was recently voted on or brought to the to the Senate. That is not at all what I thought you were gonna say. I thought it had something to do medically. No, huh? No. Oh, that's fun. Well, yeah. So, you know, I was starting to research it, and the pros and cons are so much more than I ever thought about. Growing up in Montana, I always just knew we fell forward and we sprung. Nope, we sprung forward and we fell backwards. And and then when I was living in Arizona, I thought, wait, we don't change the clocks. And then, you know, now having friends in Arizona and living in Montana where we're on a different time zone or different time frame as they are, it's very bizarre. And so I just wanted to know how you feel about daylight savings. Well, I I hate it. Okay, why do you hate it? Because, you know, here in Montana it snows. And what is the daylight saving times anywhere from October, November? I think last year was November. I'm spring and fall. Spring and fall. Yeah, yeah. Spring and fall. So what it does to me is, you know, you've known me long enough. I get that seasonal depression. Even though I'm still quirky and fun, I'm like, Yeah, it's darker earlier. And so that is the big topic and the big debate is whether or not people like earlier sunshine or later sunshine. And so there's all these different things. So people who people who wake up at the butt crack of dawn probably love daylight savings. I like vitamin sun all the time because number one, yeah, it helps your depression. It helps everything, yeah. And number two makes you happy and vibrant, but that like I can remember working like being in school and stuff and sports and stuff. Like you knew when basketball season started, and you'd get out of school, go into the courts, start doing basketball practice and stuff, and then you'd come out and it's like pitch black. Yeah. And it's only five o'clock, five o'clock, five thirty, or something like that. Right. And that and that is that is the big debate. I think originally when it started, it was for energy conservation and you know, making sure that they can have things like going to school on a bus in the morning was during the light, during daylight savings time. And then, you know, coming home before it was dark as a school kid. But now it's more like, okay, well, everybody has sports after school, and everybody and then restaurants and businesses and all these things want to have daylight savings time because it stays light later, and people go out, they you know, frequent rec restaurants and they do stuff like that. But then you have a whole population that is is old school and has a bunch of old school clocks in their house still. Like I don't have to reset a clock, but my my aunt said, Well, I don't like resetting my clocks. I said, You do that? I used to not reset my clock and just tell time the tell the difference. And then when it came back to daylight savings time the next time, I didn't have to change them. And then it's not why you're always late. No, always early. No. Because it could depend on what time of year. Screw you. I'm gonna shit-talk you right now. Screw you. I have been really good on non-time lately because I have a significant significant I'm pretty sure that was significant. My significant other will not let me be late. Good. And I think it is good, but um, did you know that intelligent people are always late? Oh my god. What statistic did you pull that from? And please tell me your source. Well, I heard something today. Um, it came out of the ass end of a buffalo. Oh. Was that uh at the grocery store? No, we're not gonna talk about where that was. Well, so all I just wanted to say about my topic is there is quite a few pros and cons and for and guests and against, you know, and I think that that's why it keeps being brought to the table with legislation and it keeps being pushed back or talked about again and again and again. Uh I don't mean to interrupt you, but obviously we're gonna talk about this here in a minute. Um, but doesn't it how we're already talking about it, but whatever. We might as well. I mean, this is our show. We get to do again whatever the fuck. Whatever the hell we want. Yeah. Settle down with the language, Cal Cal. Listen, I'm ex-military, I get to say the F-word if I want to. Oh God, totally. It's just a word. Yeah. Um, so what about depression? Like, let's lead it into this is gonna maybe solve so many problems with the depression and the anger that's out in the world, maybe if we did do that. Maybe in the future it will get changed when it gets brought back to the table again, but it looks like it's not going to get changed yet again. But I don't know that it necessarily is uh 100% linked to, you know, the cause or the you know, the fa a factor in depression. Right. Because there are still a lot of suicides and depression in places like Arizona that does not do true. I think depression is just its own this is just one entity that that is a part of a depression situation, but but it's true though, because when I was stationed in Fort Lewis, Washington, where it rains you know, half to 70% of the year, yeah, um it was the highest suicide rate army base.

Zane

Oh, really?

Kelly

When I when I was there in nine in 96, 97, 96, it was it it had the leading suicide rate um uh uh among soldiers, at least. So well, and Washington has that higher level. I mean, can you imagine it being raining all day and dark and then daylight savings comes in and it just gets darker earlier? Like I can't even imagine that. It was hard. It wasn't rainy on top of it. So but at that time I didn't know that everybody didn't do daylight savings time, so I had no, I had nothing to like, you know. I mean, we are in a bubble in Montana. We are in a bubble. We really are. I mean, you have to leave Montana to see the world be cultured a little bit, which thank God we have been. But yeah. Um and I just realized that I should have done a little bit more research because I lived in Germany also, and I do not know if they do daylight savings time. So I'm really mad at myself right now. Did you not research that? I researched a bit, but I was mostly looking at Montana and the pros and cons, you butt. And I wanted to ask you one quick question. Have you ever, do you have a funny story? Have you ever been like late because of daylight savings? I put in quotations. Well, the the only the recent one is I didn't know it turned daylight savings this last time. And I was like You're a grown-ass adult now. I meant like well, no, that that's the problem, is I just I guess I just don't care anymore. Yeah. And I woke up the next day and I'm like, wow. What was it? Fall forward, right? No, I mean spring back. Spring back. Spring like isn't it spring forward, fall back? It's spring forward, fall back. Yes. Yeah, so it was spring forward. Yeah, so it was spring forward. So I was like, holy cow, I really slept in today and continued on my day. And I didn't realize it for a couple days later, somebody's like, oh, this this uh daylight savings time is really like screwing up my schedule. And I was like, what? Like that just happened, really? And they're like, Yeah, I'm like, I had no idea. I remember being so excited for the fallback daylight savings when we when I was young and dumb and at the bar until 2 a.m. Because you could get a whole nother hour, you know? And then they started picking up on that and they were like it's on a Wednesday night, and you're like, yeah, extra hour, let's extra party today. Yeah, it was always on a Saturday, it's always on the weekend to help, you know, not screw you up, you know. You know that, right? Oh, yeah. It's always on a Saturday. Yep. But the people who work on Sunday, it screws them up. That's right. It is always on a Saturday. Man, I am not with it. This is why I brought this topic because I knew you didn't know shit about it. I don't know anything about it. This is a great time. Now I'm kind of embarrassed about my topic. No, I'm sure your topic is great. We'll we'll get there. And for for anybody who hasn't listened to our commercial yet, this is our new thing. We are gonna bring mystery topics to the table. Yeah, neither one of us are gonna know anything about the other ones. No, and we even tried to tell each other right before this. I was like, oh. No, I know I wanted to. I was like, I really need to get your input on this because we input with each other all the time. We get feedback, but this was hard. Um, I didn't even show. Well, actually, I've one person knows besides me because I was struggling trying to get a topic because there were so many topics.

Zane

Yeah.

Kelly

And I didn't want to get all the good ones right away. I kind of wanted to get a mediocre one, not a mediocre one. I think we're gonna make every topic good. Well, I that's the point, right? Like, I'm gonna be making fun of some of the ones on mine, but um, it kind of comes down to safety too. But um literally, literally, I was like, thank you. That was a great topic from said such person that obviously you probably know who it is, but yeah, it's pretty cool. So I had to come up with my own topic and you had help. Well, I think I said it, and then he said, No, that's great. Do that one. I think that's what it was. And then and then I got some information with it. In fact, I learned some stuff from him. So okay, and that was James Gray Stevenson. Tyke says hi. So yeah, it was pretty cool. Cool. Um, what shows are you watching? Uh actually, I'm right in the middle of big mistakes with Dan Levy. No way. I have seen it and it's a great show. It is so far, yeah. I have not finished it yet. I can't wait to get back to it. Now that my husband is uh off to fight fires, uh, I will probably be able to finish it. That's right. He finally got to go to Oregon. Yeah, right on. Yeah. He's on his way there today. So that show is it's pretty, it's a pretty dang good show. Yeah. I I love it so far. Lori Metcalf is one of my favorite actresses. She's great. Yeah. Um, I'm watching uh Interview with a vampire series. I forgot to ask you what you're watching. I'm sorry. Oh, I just well I saw it in your eyes. So there's a there's a series now. Well, it's yeah, it's a it's an awesome show. I don't want to get tell too much into it because it's on Netflix right now, but it's basically two vampires. It's a little gay erotica. It's got like two gay vampires hanging out to cut together, and one doesn't want to kill anybody, but then has to drink the blood, you know, and so it's funny. It's but it's kind of slow starting, but it's starting to get really good. I think we're on episode four now, and it's just one of those situations where it's like, ugh, put the kids to bed and watch this. You know what I mean? It's fun. Anyway, it's a good one. But um, and then a friend of mine, I haven't watched this movie yet, but it's called Um Good Boy.

Zane

Oh.

Kelly

And it's in the realm uh, it's a thriller, mind fuck. And it's about a dog. It's in Excuse me, did you just say the? I know, I don't say it that much, but I did today. So I have a question though. So do you like movies or shows better? I love movies more. Oh, see, and I'm a showgirl. I know, not a showgirl like a you can be a showgirl. I cannot be. Miss. I love, I don't know why, but I can I cannot sit for an entire movie these days. And I can sit for like eight episodes of a really good show. I know. I mean, how do you do that? The five-star weekend, I will I stayed up until 1 a.m. because I could not stop watching that. And you know, Netflix or whatever it was on, it's on Peacock, by the way. Right. But you know, they're always like, You want to watch the next one? Um, hell yeah, I do because you just left me out on a cliffhanger. And I think that that's the excitement for me is that I get this story, and then you have to know what happens next. Right with a movie, you just get the story, right? That's what I like, and then you're done. I love that. I don't like that. I get anxiety. I am so excited for the third season of Sisters on Acorn TV because I want to know what happens next. I know because you're always telling me, like, you need to watch this show and you need to watch this one. I'm like, Kelly, tell me when I have time to do that. Number one, and number two, invite me over and I'll I'll watch it with you. But excuse me, how many jobs do you have? Nonea bid me. We both have a lot of jobs. Oh my god. I am so happy about this one though. This one's keeping me busy too. So this one is very exciting, and I can uh think about it and work on it while doing some other jobs. Yes. Um, oh my God. Uh so do you want to get into this? I do. Do you want to do your topic? I mean I did my topic. Oh, it's my turn. My topic was daylight savings time. Pay attention. I you had yours memorized. Mine is on pepper. Well, see, because I wasn't gonna read anything. I just had some in bow. I know. So um, and I loved your topic, by the way. Um I okay, so to end that for you, um, no, I hate daylight savings time. Get us the sunshine, bring back the vitamin Sun. So you like daylight savings because what you don't want to do is you don't want to wake up to it right in the morning. Yes. You want the the light at the end of the day. So you want daylight savings time. You voted for yes, keep it. Keep no, get rid of it. I don't understand what you're saying. Daylight savings time. It's literally as it says, save the daylight for when you're awake. Yes, and then daylight savings time is to be lighter the fall back and the and the jump forward, the spring forward. No, I want sunshine to last longer in the fall, and I want it to last and not ever change again. You are very contradictory because what you're saying to me is that you want daylight savings. But what you're saying to me is that you don't want daylight savings. I'm a complicated person, and you know, you are a complicated person, but I guarantee that you do want daylight savings because you do not wake up before 6 a.m. unless it's an accident or somebody's working on your house. Yes. Uh-huh. Accident for sure. If you didn't have to wake up that early, you wouldn't. And so you would never notice that it's dark in the morning. Because I work late nights. And so you want what I'm doing, I work late. If you want Lakeside Bar to be shining bright until you guys close at midnight. In the winter time. Yeah. Yeah. In all the times. Yes. In all the times. Yes, I do. Because I want that vitamin Sun. I need the D. I need the vitamin D. And I'm more of a morning person. Of course, you need the D. I did not mean to say that, but the second I said it, I looked at you like, I just said that. God dang it. I need the vitamin Sun. That's why I call it vitamin Sun, not vitamin D. What I wanted to wrap it up with is that I'm a morning person. I want it to be light when I get up in the morning. And I get up early so that I can go to work early and be off early.

Zane

Yeah.

Kelly

But people who want to go to work a little later and work later, they need the daylight savings. So this is going to be a good controversy on when it gets to be voted on. It's already been voted on, basically. Oh, it has. Yeah. It's I can tell I believe it's in the news. I believe it's in um. I didn't put that out. I didn't print that out because I didn't want to talk about the political part of it. But yeah, it was voted, and it looks like we're going to be in daylight savings for the near future. All right, Zane. What is your topic? All right. I'm so excited. My so every summer Yellowstone has an animal that makes the news. Okay. Recently there has been some news on a gentleman where a bison threw a guy eight feet up in the air and injured him. However, every year it is at a point of it is the human mistake where this one was this gentleman and his grandson were at actually at a distance far enough that they recommend they took a picture and walked away. However, there was tension with this buffalo. And I shouldn't say buffalo because the it's in it's a bison, not a big one. I was gonna bring that up. Yeah. I'm gonna tell you eventually how I learned the difference and where that person taught me the difference. I want I want to hear that. Yeah. So I got some fun facts with this. Um, and then I got some other attacks that has happened. But um, first of all, the bison is the largest mammal in North America. Um, the adult bulls uh can weigh up to 2,000 pounds and stand at about six feet tall at the shoulder.

Zane

Wow.

Kelly

So they're not small, right?

Zane

Correct.

Kelly

Um, despite their size, they can sprint up to 35 miles an hour, which is three times faster than what a human can averagely do. They're like a really fast corgi because they do not have very big legs. I know.

Zane

And they have big, big bodies. Yeah, I mean, damn.

Kelly

I mean, damn. Have you said and they're not very big legs. They're like I know, that's what I'm saying. They're tiny little legs, but they're big bodied. They're bigger thighs and stuff, but those I know, and it's like, I mean, you guys use your imagination. It's like I'm pretty sure every one of our listeners, at least so far, has seen a bison. Yes. Yeah. I hope so. I mean, maybe not up close on TV. On TV. I hope not up close because that's what this is all about. So the Yellowstone bison has injured more visitors than any other animal in the park. Um, wow. Isn't that insane? Um, most of the attacks happen because people obviously get too close for selfies or photos. And the bison that um that are a threat can change with almost no warning at all.

Zane

Yeah.

Kelly

So we've been in a park before because we live so close to it. And growing up in Bozeman, Montana, we would, you know, people come in and visit us. We take family members down there and stuff, or just we just take a trip.

Zane

For sure.

Kelly

And every single time that we go, here's this is where I'm gonna shit talk. I'm gonna shit talk the dumbasses. They go up and go, hello, Mr. Fluffy Furry Cow. And that's what they've been calling lately is the big fluffy furry cow. Don't pet it. No, walk away from it. It will it, it's a wild flipping animal, man. Also, don't pet a furry cow. They don't need to be pet either. I mean, if you watch videos of cows, cows will charge after you too. Exactly. That's what I'm trying to do. That's what I'm trying to say. Um, so the warning signs that I want to tell people is uh head bobbing. Okay, pawing at the ground with them tiny big hooves. Wait, wait, you're telling the people not to do this, or that's when you should be worried about this. That's when you should be worried and telling the people that's not. So if you're gonna go see Yellowstone National Park, get your shit together, people. Yeah, pay attention to these things. The second you see them raise their tail, you better run. Every year, people walk into Yellowstone thinking they're filming National Geographic and end up staring at America's funniest home videos, actually. I wanted to throw I wanted to write that in because that was awesome. Um, but yeah, stay fucking 75 feet away from the damn bison. And then bears and wolves don't stand anywhere near them, but they they suggest 300 feet, which bears gonna be faster than a buffalo. If you can't a bison. If you can't figure out how far 75 feet or 300 feet is, you're too close. Right. So if you cannot, if you literally legitimately do not know how close that is, just stay way, way, way, way far away. Well, basically the rule rule number one in Yellowstone is if the animal weighs as much as your pickup truck, maybe don't don't try to take a picture of it. Take a picture of it. Or with it. Right. Don't do selfies. Oh, and whatever you do, don't put it in your fucking trunk and take the calf home. God. Have people done that? Yes, research that story. I didn't put it in here, but he thought, well, that person thought the bought the bison was too cold. So they wanted to warm it up and put it in the back of their hatch of what. Whatever vehicle they had. They deserved whatever got probably a except if they had kids because the kids didn't know any better. No older older couple. It's all it's always the adult. So anyway, so some of the some of the other things was um this is some of these are titled, and I've got my sources. Um, but the selfie that went wrong is a 43-year-old woman from Mississippi wanted a photo with the bison near Ferry Falls. And she turned her back to the animal while standing only 18 feet away and the bison charge and tossed her in the air, and again, probably about another eight feet, had some pretty good injuries. So if your photographer says scoot a little closer and the subject weighs a ton, maybe hire a different photographer. So that woman was photo, right? That woman was of uh 18 feet away, but she she probably thought it was at least 50. Oh, she thought it was like faith the faith. I don't know. You know, the family encounter, there was a 34-year-old Colorado man was walking to with his family near old faithful. The bull the bull bison charged the group. Instead of moving away, family members stayed, remained there, and the bison continued charging, going for the man in uh killed, like ruined his arm. So there's more here and several more, but an 83-year-old woman from South Carolina was walking near a trail, and the bison came within a few feet, lifted her with its horns, and seriously injured her, and she had to be airlifted out of the hospital. So the so the none of this is good. No. What it comes down to is the safety in Yellowstone. Well, basically, what happened was the buffalo and a cow got together. Okay. And it's kind of like uh a liger. We breed, we breed co cow with everything up here. Is that what I'm trying to say? Win in Rome. Where men are men and sheep are sheep. And apparently cows are bison. Well, I well, there's no there's now cow blood in the buffalo that made him bison is something that I've I've heard. But I I hear there's really no more buffalo anymore. Yeah, it's more of just the bison. I heard that, yeah. And and it's insane. I know. You know, I sold a buff uh bison harvest, not a hunt, a harvest at a benefit auction for $32,000. Really? Yeah. How many how long ago was that? Just a couple months ago. Really? Yeah. Oh, it was insane. Oh wow. $32,000. Tell me what the difference between a hunt and a harvest is. A hunt is you go out and you, it's kind of like fishing or you're catching. Fishing means you're trying to catch a fish. Hunting means you're trying to go hunt an animal. Harvesting means is you walk up to it, humanely kill it, skin it, hang the meat, and cut it for your freezer. And that's a sport that you want to pay the floor. It's not even a sport, it's just a harvest. It's basically like how we harvest our cattle. So some for meat. Some person bought the rights to kill some bison to have the meat and the skins. Okay. Yeah, that is harvested on a ranch based. Yeah, oh, I'm guaranteeing they get everything. For $32,000, I want to pay so. Well, it it is, but they're I mean, I get it. They're everybody raised for that on the ranches. But that's what I want to get back to. Okay. Thank you for that. Is that those are raised on the ranches? Yeah. And there are buffalo ran or bison ranches. But here's the deal Yellowstone National Park is wild bison. Yes. They are not tame. They don't know the difference between eating out of a trough. They eat off the plains, and there is no rancher taking care of their bison. This is the real deal. So if you decide to come to Yellowstone National Park, stay in your effing car. And if you want to take a picture of a bison, then make sure you're at least 75, 100 feet away and take your picture. But that guy that got flown up recently, um, he was doing all everything right. And God bless him for um saving his helping his grandson out. But that if you've seen the video and you maybe we can post it up this week, maybe if we post that up this week, you can see it, or just go look up on it online. Um, and you will see how this guy was trying to hide in the trees and go around the trees and stuff, and it was just insane that he survived because he said the height of the the force and the height that he was throwing in the air, he said the part that hurt the most was the landing. And I do believe he broke his hip, maybe femur area in four different places that I remember. And he is gonna have a full recovery and do good by good. But that guy was like, and he was not trying to do anything wrong. And they did say that the bison was a little um irritated by other people around, and he just happened to be the victim to get. Well, and I think that that's the other warning that we need to give is that they can be angry and they're in their own habitat. You are coming into their space, especially when they're in rut and they're in rut right now, and that's what happened to them. Is what was this a couple months ago? So they were in rut, and he was now irritated by his horny. Right, right, right. I know what it is, but I don't know when it is. Uh well, it's the time that this poor guy got thrown. Maybe, maybe some of our city folk don't know what rut is. Well, if you're in a rut, find a I think a lot of guys know what that means now. I think women do too. We're not, we're not, we're not gonna do that. No. So anyway, that was my topic. And I kind of liked it. I liked yours more than mine. Like I was very okay, cool. I love it. And I actually loved that we didn't know each other. Oh no, that was funny. That was great. That was totally fun. Like, I totally that's our niche. I totally dive on that. Um, I can't wait for next week to do it too. But yeah. So, what's coming up, Kelly, with uh our show and stuff? This is again, I I can't express how thankful I am for the amount of people that have been joining our show. Like we have so many supporters and so many people who have listened to both the shows so far. And I'm really hoping that the same amount of people or more and more will listen to all these uh coming up. Uh, I know a lot of people who are like, shoot, I just haven't gotten to it yet. Well, get to it, people, get to it. Yes, yes. Sorry to clap in the No clap. That's what we do. Hyper vibe. We haven't hype vibe yet. Boom. I looked at your palm and we missed. I, yeah. Yes, elbow one more time. Elbow. Okay, good job. Oh my goodness. So let's tell everyone we got the parade coming up. We got our stickers, we got our shirts, we got all sorts of stuff here in Helena. Yes, so we're excited about that. Um, yeah. We're actually gonna put out uh a little bit of a video soon. Yeah, because we have shirts now, and I'm very excited to show them off. Yes. We will be selling some of these things in the future. Uh, we just want to try them out for ourselves first. If you guys like them, we can definitely order you one. Let us know on our website, uh, which will start looking a little bit different in the next uh 24 to 48 hours. I have to figure a couple things out, but we are going to have a support us button. Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah. So you can either be a monthly supporter or one-time supporter, you can um you can listen without supporting, but uh we would love it if you could do a little bit of support to help keep us running. There's like a three-dollar donation, five, ten, and like fifteen or something. But yeah, we're not greedy. We just want to keep doing this. And if you're enjoying our show, keep going for it. Yeah, and if you prefer a one-time donation, we also do have a Venmo one-time kind of situation that you can you can donate to. But again, we just want you guys to listen and love us and come back every week and be excited for the next show. So I got another question. So your husband is gone for a good a good month, 35 days or something. It's never, it's never uh it's never guaranteed. Yeah. Um, he can do a 14-day role and come home, or they can do a 14-day role, extend to 21, stay there for two more days, do another 20 day 21-day role and then come home.

Zane

Yeah.

Kelly

Um but eventually when they're out of out of state, they do have to come home after the 45 days. But um, he could be gone till October. Yes. But that's what I signed up for, and that's okay. The year we got married, he was actually gone 102.

Zane

Oh, no way.

Kelly

102 shifts uh the day after we got back from our honeymoon. No way. Yeah, the year we got married, I made him say, Yes, we have to go on our honeymoon right away. And so that's why we got married earlier in the year so that we can do our honeymoon. It snowed at your wedding. It snowed at our wedding on May 21st. Dancing in your garage, just having the best time in the life. God, we had a great time. It was great. Yeah, but then uh he left two days after we got back from our honeymoon and was gone for pretty much 102 days. Yeah. Straight. So back for two, back for four, gone, gone, gone, gone, gone. So my single. Oh, I cannot sing. Yeah, you can. No, I can in the shower in the car, and that's it. I don't sing in the shower. I think in the shower. I need one of those whiteboards where I can write things down because as soon as I get out of the shower, I'm starting to I can see you over there taking a poop and just in the shower. Oh, no, I you need to do it on a toilet. Well, I think. Because the shower is gonna wash it away. No, no, no, no. I I'm in the shower. I'm gonna be writing on the they have shower whiteboards. I don't know why I'm going off on this. I don't either, but you look at it. I think I need one because that's where my best ideas come in. I know, totally. I get it. Mine's in the car. That's like my friend Rachel calls it the phone booth. Yeah. And it is, it's a phone booth. Yeah. I love that. But then you can just hit record on your phone and record all of your ideas. Yeah, I put it all in my notes on my phone for sure. Exactly.

Zane

Yeah.

Kelly

In the shower, I'm not gonna have my phone. I could have Mike just come sit there and like write things down as I it's heat sits on the toilet. Yeah, yes, ma'am. Yes, ma'am. Oh, okay, ma'am. Can you see us doing that? Yes. I can't. I I don't want to think about it. All right. Well, I just uh I'm so happy we're doing this and I'm excited, but I can't wait to keep going and I don't know. Yeah, this is it. I think uh I think this is our first official This is our first topics. It went good. It went pretty good. Yeah, so what do we say? Um anyway, I think we should uh close up for the day. I think so too. So thank you for listening to Shit Talk Corner. That's a wrap for Shit Talk Corner today.
