Hello and welcome to Next Steps for Seniors Conversations on Aging. So incredibly blessed to be here with you this Friday. And each and every Friday, our goal is really to talk through the emotional components of aging and how we can lean on God in a spiritual, amazing way, because that is what is going to bring you through any situation. It's almost impossible to face situations without somebody with you. And knowing that God, our Father, is standing right there with you makes all the difference in the world. And that is why Leaving a legacy is incredibly important. And what you're doing, your ministry right now, is talking to our seniors at end of life at a time that is so critical and they're so mature and they've been through so much. But you're gonna tell me a story about somebody.

Yeah, I, you know, one one thing that actually came back to my remembrance, it's actually something that just um happened recently, is that we had a client, you know, we helped non-believers and believers, but when we help non-believers, I go with intentionality to ask the Holy Spirit to help me lead that because I know they're close to the end of their life. And she shared her story. And by asking her really critical questions to to make her think beyond what she was experiencing, but why she went through those things, and to see the hand of God in her life, she came to the realization like, wow, I if it wasn't a higher power, then I don't know what it was, but something sustained me, you know. And so I I I knew the Holy Spirit said, Go. And I was, and I said, Well, that some something is the Lord because He's always had His hand on you. And man, at that moment, I see it, right?

Because a lot of times they don't see it until this moment, and the Holy Spirit was moving. Okay, so then what happened?

So at that moment, she paused, and at first she seemed angry, but something just came over her, and I was so excited because I had it on video, but something came over her, and she just eyes wide open, tears flowing down her eyes, and she said, It had to be God, it had to be God, and that's when we led her to come coming back to the the you know, the Lord's hands, and um that was probably the most rewarding uh experience I have ever had since we started this project. And you're right, Wendy, I agree. Like there has to be I'm following the steps and I'm being obedient to the Lord by by just following the the steps that he has put in front of me, but there is a deeper reason why we're I'm doing this, and you you definitely help me with that.

Yes, because I gotta I mean just everyone, there is a purpose. God has a specific purpose designed for every single person. Some of us figure it out when we're young, some of us figure it out when we're old, some of us never figure it out. But at the end of the day, I remember 30 years ago, a man from my church saying, God has called you to a very specific, he kept saying, specific, specific. And I'm like, what specific? What? I didn't get it. Like I was like, what are you talking about? Fast forward 30 years, like I got it. Well, thank goodness I'm only in my 50s. But his specific ministry for me is end-of-life ministry. And this is the question I ask Mimi, every single person. I ask them this Do you know beyond a shadow of a doubt where you will spend eternity? That is good, Wendy. Who isn't sitting? I mean, right now we're all sitting there going, Do I know? Do I not know? I hope I'm going. And anyone, Mimi, anyone that says, Well, I don't know. Or I hope I'm going to heaven. Or I don't believe in heaven or hell. Anyone who says any of those things, you know what I say? I can give you full assurance right now. And this is in there, and I've said, Do you want to know beyond a shadow of a doubt? Yes, I do. Okay, let me tell you about Jesus. Let me tell you about my Jesus who died on the cross, forgave us of our sins, and and is resurrected and is walking with us every day because that Jesus saves you. That Jesus in Romans 10, 9 and 8 saves you. And all you have to do is believe and receive him. And guess what? You're saved and you're spending eternity in heaven. And I just walked through that with a sweet little man last week. And you know what he said to me? He's like, Thank you so much for coming and talking to me about Jesus. And he said, You saved me. And I said, I didn't save you. I said, Jesus saved you. And he said, I know, but you're here in my living room right now. It was so fun. So I just want to encourage people. You all have everybody has a gift. I am blessed that my gift is talking to our amazing, wise elderly population who have lived long, incredible lives and being sure that they are spending eternity in heaven. I love that gift. And your gift, Mimi, is sharing the love that people have and talking about their lives and watching those general generational curses that could be coming through to other generations and moving through the power of the Holy Spirit to break those right then and there. I love it. I think it's fantastic. Uh thank you. Thank you for being with me today. Thank you for this time together. And I hope our listeners were encouraged through this. So God bless you.
