Come for the conversation. Stay for the chaos. See you all next time.
Hello everybody, my name is Toby. And I'm Ray Ray. And this is Random Things That Piss Us Off. Uh, we figured we'd start with something light for this week's episode before we get into the wild side. The wild side. Yeah. Let me uh we said we were gonna time this one, so naturally I opened my calculator. Um Okay.
SPEAKER_02Wanna go first on what pisses you off? Sure.
SPEAKER_01So let's see. People who don't put their carts away. Their shopping carts? Yeah. Yeah. Like, why are you that lazy? They they sit it beside the car, yeah, in a parking spot, and you're going to say superstore Costco. Worst places to shop. Worst places to park. Yes. And there you see a cart. Honestly.
SPEAKER_00It's the ultimate like lazy. Just put it back. Yeah. Make the effort. Everybody's car is gonna get scratched because of this. It's just it's such an inconvenience. And I don't know why, but I think the ones that are not put away are somehow dirtier than the ones that are put away.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I feel like there's a lot of kid. It's just gross. I don't know. Kid sticky things.
SPEAKER_00Uh everything.
SPEAKER_01Yes. And remember at COVID, they used to have like wipe down, you can wipe down your they should have never got rid of that. Yeah, I think that was a fantastic idea. It absolutely was. But now I just walk through a grocery store thinking I'm infested or something.
SPEAKER_00This is wine. Um this one. I know a lot of people who do this. So if if you're listening, when people say be pacific or pacifically, I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_01What? It's specific. Um, I do have to say that I am one of those people that do that to once in a while. And it's not because I'm trying to be wrong.
SPEAKER_00You're not that it's not because you're stupid.
SPEAKER_01I know you're actually I'm actually visualizing that word. It's like literally, literally.
SPEAKER_00No, I'm just a tongue twister though. But this is when you're exchanging letters, you're adding letters like I don't even know.
SPEAKER_01When I'm saying trying to be specific, that's what I have to say it like. But when I'm in a conversation, I'm like, oh yeah, specifically, specifically.
SPEAKER_00Well, I can't help it. The whole time listening to you say it was just giving me I don't know. The ick? Yeah. I don't like it. I have an ick. That is it that no that I said like no what?
SPEAKER_01Um, no, my ick is is when you're with a bunch of people and they have kids, and I love kids.
SPEAKER_00Also, my ick when they have kids, absolutely.
SPEAKER_01They're not my friends, I'm not sure. Yeah, um, no, but when they have a snotty nose and it's crested on the side and they come over and try to talk to you, and all you want to do is just take their head and turn it around. Oh, and but I don't even care if you're trying to talk to me or not. Wipe your kid's face. Yes, like my kid never, as soon as she had a snotty new nose, I taught her. Yeah, like I don't understand, and it just and or drips down into the mouth. Stop it. It's just that it's my it's one of my pet peeves. Yeah, it's just an ick.
SPEAKER_00Oh, that's just gross. That should be everybody's ick. Yeah, yeah. Um no matter what the reason, but at any point, if I have to repeat myself, I get so mad.
SPEAKER_01It's it's the best when I I think it's the best when a guy will say something and you say, What did you say? Now I'm not actually asking you what you said, I heard what you said. I just want you to go back to thinking about maybe re restart your and and and don't come at me going, you didn't hear me. Yeah, oh no, sir.
SPEAKER_00No, I just wanted to make sure you wanted to make that your final answer.
SPEAKER_01That's exactly it. It's it's I I'm pretty sure there's I'm giving you a chance, a full hundred percent chance, but you know, I'm I I don't know if anybody's had that.
SPEAKER_00Is that just me? No, no, it absolutely happens. Oh whose is it? Is it my turn? Okay, I think we trailed off on that one, but I oh this one because I experience it with my tiny humans who I swear to god I I promise I love. I promise I love. But if I go to grab something one more time and the box is empty, oh everybody's squaring up.
SPEAKER_01Uh I don't understand if it's empty. Yeah, just why did you do that? Just don't be lazy and just put it back. First of all, if it's on the counter, then I know we need more.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01It's like milk.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, like okay, you didn't crush up the box and put it in recycling. Fine. You left it on the counter. Fine. I've walked into the kitchen, I know there's none. I'm not going in there expecting.
SPEAKER_01That's right. I'm not going, hey, I want an ice cream sandwich and go into the freezer, and there's no ice cream sandwiches, but there's a box to tell me that there's no ice cream sandwiches. Like you get that excitement.
SPEAKER_00Yes, and then you grab the box and it's empty. Yeah, the the anger, the the it's so disrespectful inside of my body. It's a new level of disrespect, and I've only ever had men do it to me. Men are voice.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yes. And and I love the the fact that you sit there and you're stewing and they come over. What's wrong? Is anything wrong with you? Oh, yeah. What's wrong? You are what's wrong. I'm trying to be a nice person today. Yeah. And you're making me fail.
SPEAKER_00Like just a miserable human me human being that you did that to us. Yes.
SPEAKER_01I would like to go over a few things about uh people who drive. And I'm just in general. Like, I'm not even specific on a certain race here. I'm just saying every single person out there who cuts people off, yeah, um, goes into the the side where you know that that side of the lane is being closed, and you race up and push, oh, tell me, sir or ma'am. I don't think you realize who you're dealing with.
SPEAKER_00You had 25 minutes of signs warning you that you were gonna need to switch lanes and you waited till the very end, drive in the ditch, yeah, you're done.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you should just sit there and wait until there is actual space for you to go in because or the people who stop, yeah, five feet, 10 feet away from the actual trigger spot to turn left or to turn the light. What are you doing? Where why are there's a line for a reason? You you pull your car up to that line and you wait for the light. But no, you you you'd stop 10. Is there is there is there a school that's teaching you this, or are you just imagining something that you should be doing?
SPEAKER_00I feel like I've never been to driving school, but everybody who I know went to driving school is pretty terrible at it. So that could be what they're teaching them. Okay, you know what else I hate to piggyback on the driving thing? Okay, that part on the highway, um, eastbound, when it's just before Clearbrook, but like you're passing through uh McCatum. So the westbound, westbound. You're going to Vancouver. Yeah, you're going to Vancouver, westbound. So there's that one part where there's three lanes for a little bit, right? Yeah. And there's construction right there. Yeah. And everybody in the far left lane needs to merge to the middle. Yeah. But these assholes in the far right lane start to merge into the middle at the same time when we have to merge and they don't. Yes. It's like, excuse you, dummy. Excuse you. What are you doing?
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah. No, no.
SPEAKER_00You're a useless human being and you don't deserve a license. Take scissors and cut it up.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think that should just ride a bike. That should be part of your your driving test. Like, let's see how you merge. Yeah. Because I don't think it is really part of that. I don't, I don't, I don't really think. Because if it is, what happened?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And you need to take people through roundabouts because I understand that sometimes at certain angles it's a little difficult to to read a road sign, but the ones that are yield to traffic mean you yield to the traffic that's already in the roundabout. So if you're in the roundabout, don't stop to try and let another stopped car in the roundabout.
SPEAKER_01I don't know if you can tell, but she might be a little uh frustrated.
SPEAKER_00Like six people have done this to me in the past three months.
SPEAKER_01Yes, no. I I I personally like the uh the optional of a clicker, you know. Optional. Am I turning left? Is it is this a game? Is this a game? Are we are we are are we going to challenge the person behind you?
SPEAKER_00Or the ones who use their blinkers but don't turn.
SPEAKER_01Yes, yes, like uh but you're turning 10 blocks from here, yeah. Sure. Yeah, thank you, sir or ma'am, for letting us know. That's that's great. Okay, K.
SPEAKER_00Okay, don't ever text me that. Yeah, that's like come on, people. I I text it.
SPEAKER_01I know you but like don't text me that. I never I when you text it to me, I go KK.
SPEAKER_00No, I text you KK or OK or mm K. Okay, yeah. Because I'm like never mad at you, so why would I text you K? I only text K if I'm really mad. This it is true, it is true. If I want you to know that you're a piece of shit goof, I'm texting you K.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's absolutely yeah, yeah. Yeah, what do you got one?
SPEAKER_00Or the toilet paper toilet paper. There is a certain way it's supposed to go, like, don't just go in there freeballing it. Yeah, it's up and over, it is not underneath, like stop it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, uh you know, I I really don't care which way it is, as long as the goddamn toilet paper's on there. No, it has to be the right way. If I'm squatting and trying to hold the drips, trying to grab the toilet paper, and I'm I before I sit down to make sure I didn't drip on the toilet seat to I'm going to have a raging I just tenter tantrum in the bathroom.
SPEAKER_00I can't if it's the wrong way. Like, I don't even I don't even care. You can sit it beside there, which is lazy. It really is. It is, but if you're gonna put it on wrong, like you uncultured swine, there's a patent for it. Yes, it shows you how to do it, and it's the easiest thing to learn how to do, and you still can't do it. I competent.
SPEAKER_01I think people just do it because it's funny to see react in slow walking now. Oh, I I I especially like the walkers that take over the whole sidewalk and push you over to the do that to me.
SPEAKER_00I know that's sidewalk straight.
SPEAKER_01What is wrong with your feet? Like, are they cocked on my brain? Is it my brain sees the sidewalk as I'm this is mine? Yeah, and I'm like, ma'am, can you please move over to the grass? Because you're actually invading my sidewalk area.
SPEAKER_00Oh, I can't know. There's so much sidewalk, and you're walking into me. Or okay, so I've had this where not with you, but with somebody else, and they were walking beside me, and I was closest to the edge, and on the other side, there's people, so they're like pushing me to this edge. So I was like, I'm switching sides, that's the way you veer. Yes, and then all of a sudden they start veering the other way and they're pushing you into people. Yes, I hate people.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think like push me off the cliff if this is my options. It's like grocery stores when you see them either going the wrong way in the aisle, or or the best is they bump into you and they look at you like it's your fault. Yeah, I'm like, do you drive like this? Like, uh is this? I think these should be shown to um the police.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I'm calling the cops, yeah, or the people who park their cart on the one side of the aisle and then stand in the middle of the other side of the aisle. Yeah, like get something out of here.
SPEAKER_01You're coming out of the aisle and they just come out. They're like just they're coming out hard, like they had a green light. And ma'am, sir, you need to stop. Yeah, look both ways as well as you do on a road or crossing a road.
SPEAKER_00It's always an old lady who's got a husband with her that looks like he wants God to take him home, you know, like he doesn't want to be here with Deborah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, or the thousand kids that are hanging off the cart, which I I oh yeah in my head uh the those wonderful moms out there trying to control their kids, and I get it, and you're just kind of get out of there in and out.
SPEAKER_00I get it, because we can't leave kids in the yeah, we're not judging you and your parenting, we just want you to know that we think your kids are shitty, but it's not because of you. My kids do it. Well, one of my kids does it, and it's if I could tase them, I think I would just once, you know, just seems like a top call. It's a hand taser, it's a glove. Really? Yep, I saw we can smack and tase somebody at the same time.
SPEAKER_01Yep, that was amazing.
SPEAKER_00I feel like this was an idea of mine. I feel like somebody stole my idea. That is amazing. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Can I get one on Amazon either? I'd have no idea, but I saw it. How would it not electrocute the person walking? It's inside, it's so it's all the little beads on the outside, so it's so it it just started and I would need somebody to try it before. But that would be something I would try and then scratch my face. Yeah, right. Haha, touch yourself. Just kidding. I did my no-no play. Oh my god. Oh, that's funny. Oh, cleaning the microwave. I'm the worst for that.
SPEAKER_00Cleaning the microwave? Yeah. Um, yeah, so I asked my somebody, I'm just gonna say somebody, once I opened their microwave to make something, and I was like, probably have you ever in your whole life cleaned this? Like, did this come from the ancestors? And nobody's ever cleaned it. But it is bad. Like, I just nobody cleans their microwaves. Nobody. I don't know one person other than myself that cleans their microwaves.
SPEAKER_01I do it every probably two years, I'm not gonna lie. And then and then I'm like, oh my goodness.
SPEAKER_00I do mine once a month to once every two months. Um, but I prefer once a month to do a deep clean on it. Yeah, I always wipe it down when I'm cleaning the house, but to to do a deep, deep, deep clean. I hate it's like once a month. Yeah, yeah. Or people who set a timer and then open the microwave before it's done and then don't clear the time.
SPEAKER_01Uh you know, but yeah.
SPEAKER_00I hate it. What wouldn't you clear the time? I go and look. Why is it what time is it right now? Why does it sit me?
SPEAKER_01It's funny because when I'm cooking, I'll I'll be like, I'll look at the microwave thinking that's the time. And then I'll be like, Yeah. What oh my god, what time is it? How long has the chicken been in? I mean, how long have I been here? What day is it? Yeah, so it's it's quite it's a guessing game, it's a challenge in my house. I don't like it. Yeah, well, challenges should be I'm challenged enough.
SPEAKER_00Having you not clean, clear your microwave numbers. Horrible. No, it's terrible. I'm not gonna lie, I'm not the best, but hey, you know. Oh, you kind of did this to me last night, but thankfully somebody spilled the beans. Um when people say, I'll tell you later, you will tell me right the fuck now, or I will throw up. When did I do that? Last night when we were talking about that person with the stuff and the things and the right now, she's trying to do charades and I'm so oblivious to what she's saying right now. Okay, where were we? We were at the house having dinner at the table, and we were talking about that person who is into that stuff. Oh, yes, there we go. Yes, there we go. Oh my gosh, bondage, yeah. And you said, um, I'll tell you later. Like, absolutely not. Somebody's fucking telling me. And then we did end up telling me. Yeah, I did find out, and I regret it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so she really didn't want to hear it, no, but uh it was it was like I needed to know, but too much about it just because uh we it's horrible work, but it's just it's horrible, yeah. It's it's information that we should have never had in the first place. Nobody should ever have to know. And you know what? They're happy about doing it, and I'm great for that for them for that. You're no stop you're flipping over your words because you're lying.
SPEAKER_00I am you are a liar. I think they should be ashamed for being so openly willing to tell us.
SPEAKER_01Well, technically, she told one person that one person told every single thing. That's how life works. Yeah, that's how you can't blame your energy. Something about let's say just bondage, um, and you can't say it to everybody else, you're gonna say it to everybody else. And those people are going to say it to everybody else because it is the funniest thing, and you want them to suffer just as much as you are now suffering.
SPEAKER_00So what it's just bondage is great. The idea of it, doing it, all of it, big fan, and then you ruined it for me with that story. I think that's why I'm pissy about it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. You're a little bit because it's it's horrible.
SPEAKER_00And family guy, Peter Griffin.
SPEAKER_01Peter Griffin, yeah, that's what it's if you know, you know.
SPEAKER_00Okay, like that's it. We probably sound like bullies, but if you know, you know, yeah, it's I don't even care. It's just one of those things. Yeah, oh that's another one. Uh stop okay, this is so random, but if you only back into your parking stall, I don't like you.
SPEAKER_01No, I don't like that. Like, if there's backing in, like if the if you need to get out and backing out is hard, yeah. So you yeah, that that is completely.
SPEAKER_00But if you literally every single time you park, you're backing in.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, give me a stop, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Just have a huge belt buckle, or and I'm sorry, and I'm gonna get eight for this, or you're blonde. Oh, yes, yes. You back into stalls, you like it from the back. Like, we get it. Stop it, absolutely stop it. Oh my god, no, that's all I'm gonna say. It could just be my jealousy because I'm not very good at backing in, but you know, like just pull in. It's just so I love parallel parking when I get somewhere. I hate, I hate I'm good at it unless people are watching, and I have no proof because I'm not good at it when people are watching. Ah, yeah. So I love it when people watch. I'm like, yeah, watch me.
SPEAKER_01You see how it's done? Do better. I don't want people to look at me. Like, absolutely not. That's the confidence in me. Yeah, that's what that is. It's another one.
SPEAKER_00Oh someone using the last of my anything I own. Anything, I will share everything with you but the last drop. Stop taking oh, you only have this much left. I'm just gonna take it. No, the fuck you're not. Ah, yes. I do not care if you use 90% of it. Don't use that last 10%.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's like way back in the day when I used to smoke a lot.
SPEAKER_00Uh somebody would take my last cigarette, and you're just like, oh that's blasphemy. Last cigarette when I drank, last drink, even now, last pop. Yeah, it's are you joking? Yeah, it's my niece, whom I love with my whole heart, the last of my oil, but brought me back the empty container. So that was nice. That was so nice. She put it back all the like had to go downstairs into my apartment from upstairs from her house to put up back the empty container. That's just wrong. Yeah, that's wrong. I feel great.
SPEAKER_01I feel that's just hatred. Yeah. Um, oh, not not closing cupboards. Yeah, that's a pain. That's a pain. That's I don't I don't see I don't, that's not, yeah, it doesn't frustrate me, but it is it is kind of like it's annoying. It's like, what yeah, what are you doing? What you opened it. Why can't you close it? What was so hard about closing it? But the problem is I don't mind is because I'm so short that I never get hit by them.
SPEAKER_00It's mine's not even worried about getting hit by them, it just looks messy. Yes, it looks unorganized, it looks like you don't wipe properly.
SPEAKER_01I don't know if you have this problem is when you're wearing like a a button-up shirt or a hoodie and you go to turn and you get hooked on like the handling handles, and you're like, what is happening? Yeah, what is what what am I am I that height of hell?
SPEAKER_00And it literally only seems to happen when you're already upset about something.
SPEAKER_01Yes, yes, or you're you need to get something like you're doing something, so you're doing the potatoes, you're doing the yeah, you're watching the chicken, you have to take this out, and all of a sudden you're like boom, and you're like, Oh everything goes everywhere, things rips, I'm mad. Why am I stuck here? Yeah, this is it was it's that's that's one of my I also hate that. Yeah, it's I'm glad it's not just me because I'm short.
SPEAKER_00It's like a trickster ghost who's just like, Yeah, I'm just gonna fuck with this person.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, like Excuse me.
SPEAKER_00Oh, this one. This will be great for any of the males listening out there. Anyone who drives a dually.
SPEAKER_01I call them trucks. Off. Okay, like if you're not pulling a horse, horses are a little bit more than a little bit. Yeah, trailers trailers.
SPEAKER_00You're just you just got your dually, some random sticker on the back of your windfield that definitely came from like Timu and Alberta. And like you have a big belt buckle, and you're just got a thing about belt buckles. I can't, you know why? Because it's just a it's just a jewel hanging above their jewels. Random things that piss me off. Anyone from Alberta. Oh, poor Joe. I know. I love Joe, but he's been here long enough that the bird is kind of thinking about it. The bird is yeah, yeah. So piggyback on the dooleys is anybody from Alberta.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah. Oh, some of them are good. Some of them are good. Yeah. Water dripping up my arm.
SPEAKER_00Oh, when you get water on your hands and you have to lift your and you're trying to like fix your seam, and then it starts dripping all the way. Oh no.
SPEAKER_01When you brush your teeth and you go to scoop the water and all of a sudden down here and you're like, oh, I'm soaked and you can feel it. It's horrible. Like, why is though? No, it's it is not pleasant. That is not a because you're like, should I should I change? Should I not? Do I have time for this? Do I have to suffer? And then all the way to work if you're driving or wherever you're going. Dirty food water, is it clean water? What am I? Yeah, is it toothpaste? Oh god, no, I don't like it. It's it's mostly toothpaste all over my chest.
SPEAKER_00Mine's always when I'm doing the dishes, so there's like stuff. Yeah, it's just disgusting.
SPEAKER_01If there's any people that have um some kind of invention, can invention, invention, to stop that? To stop that, that would be great. Just you know, let us know about it, send us a link.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we'd love that.
SPEAKER_01Yes, that would be great.
SPEAKER_00It's uh I picture like umbrellas on your hands, but like upside down, right? That's what I'm picturing. Patent pending, yeah. Said it. Yeah, that's all yours. This is being recorded for legal reasons. Yeah, um, okay, anyone who prefers calls, don't call me unless you're dead, dying, or bleeding, or you're gloss up. I was just gonna say, or have the hottest tea that I'm gonna get. Yeah, that's it.
SPEAKER_01Is true, and and also text me before you're gonna do it so I can be ready. Like I could be playing a game. Yeah, so I'm ready to tell you no, I can't answer the call. That's right, exactly. Yeah, I don't want to purposely ghost you, but I will. I do not care who people are show up and just knock nowadays. Before it was like, Yeah, get the door. Yeah, please never come to my house and knock. Yeah, because all of a sudden everybody's quiet and they're like, I know what I do.
SPEAKER_00I call Joe. I'm like, go get the door. I promise you, if you have to knock on my door, you are automatically never welcome. Yeah, no, like, do not come over here. Absolutely not. No, it's not even you to me. Like, it's just I'm here. Yeah, let me in. I'm not knocking, I'm buzzing in. Like, no. Although we she can't buzz in, I can't buzz in and she can't knock. So, but she could throw rocks on her bed. I could, but absolutely not. You will come and get me. Yeah, and if you had a big house, I would just walk and I'd have my own key. Yeah, that's we would expect that. Yeah, it's a lot different. Do not knock on my door and think you're welcome in my home at any point ever. Absolutely not. Um one more? Yeah, sure. We have a list, that's why we're um umming. Yeah, because if not, we'll just go off on random spurts of stuff, which we pretty well just did anyway. Uh, when somebody else's phone connects to my car, if we're both in the car and I turn my car on and your phone fucking connects to my car. How does it do that? Doesn't it have to sync to it first? Yeah, but like if you've borrowed my car before and then you've programmed your phone into my car. Oh yeah, like maybe do that because you borrowed my vehicle, but before you give it back, yeah, you obvious it. My mother does that all the time and the look like it looks good, kill. I tell you what. I tell you what. You get that thing off. She always goes, I don't understand how. Because you connected it once and you didn't disconnect it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's exactly I've had that when I brought my truck into uh into the Jeep and they connected their phone. They're washing it, and I'm like, what is this? Yeah, and that was still in the place, so it was connected to their phone. I was hoping and praying somebody would call.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah, okay. That would have been cool. That would have been cool. I would have answered for sure. Yeah, yeah. I love that. Okay, well, I think that's all we have for today.
SPEAKER_01So all right. Well, we didn't want to overindulge ourselves with our conversations for everybody, but yeah, just a little something, something. Yes. Oh, all right, folks, stay weird. Laugh often.
SPEAKER_02And remember we're all just figuring this shit out.
