family. Mary, the mother of Jesus, brought the need to him. She simply said, They have no wine. What a beautiful example for us. When a need arises, our first response should be to bring it to Jesus. Although Jesus told Mary that his hour had not yet come, she demonstrated remarkable confidence in him. Turning to the servants, she gave one of the greatest pieces of advice recorded in all of the scripture. Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. Those words are just as relevant today as they were in Canaan. If Jesus says forgive, do it. If he says trust me, do it. If he says love your enemies, do it. If he says follow me, do it. Water Pots, Full Obedience, Hidden Miracle

work. Jesus instructed the servants to fill six water pots with water. The command may not have made much sense to them. They needed wine, not water, yet the Bible tells us they filled them up to the brim. They didn't obey halfway, they obeyed completely. Then Jesus told them to draw out the water and take it to the governor of the feast. Somewhere between filling the pots and serving the governor, the water became wine. Notice that the miracle happened after their obedience. Sometimes we ask God to show us the miracle first, so we'll obey afterwards. But many times God asks us to trust him first. Our responsibility is to his obedience. His responsibility is the outcome. John closes this account by saying This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory and his disciples believed on

Why The Miracle Matters

him. The purpose of the miracle wasn't simply to solve a problem at a wedding, it revealed the glory of Christ and strengthened the faith of his disciples. Perhaps you're facing a situation that seems impossible. Maybe your resources have run out, maybe you've come to the end of your strength. Bring your need to Jesus, then listen carefully to his word and obey what he says. God often works in ways we don't expect, but he is never late, never confused, and never unable. The same Savior who turned water into wine is still able to transform lives, restore broken hearts, provide for every need, and display his glory today.

Prayer And Daily Charge

Heavenly Father, thank you for reminding us that nothing is impossible for you. Help us to trust you even when we don't understand your plan. Give us hearts that we are willing to obey whatever you ask of us, increase our faith as we watch you work in ways that bring glory to your name. May our lives point others to Jesus Christ. In His presence, a precious name, we pray. Amen. As you go through your day, remember Mary's simple but powerful instruction whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. You may not know how God will work, you may not see the miracle yet, but you can trust the one who never fails. Thank you for joining me for morning manna.
