My podcast identity crisis
JonHello, everybody, and welcome to the Jon Peng Show, aka the Jon Peng podcast. I'm very happy to see you all here, and we have a lot to talk about today, and I'm very excited to be with you here tonight, or today, or evening, or morning, whatever it is for you. So, guys and girls, I'm having some issues right now. I'm having a bit of an identity crisis. Have you ever been in a situation where you just don't know who you are or what you're supposed to be or what you're supposed to be doing? And then you get in this situation where you start copying other people, you start looking at what other people are doing, you start doing what they're doing, you start to seem a little bit similar to them. Oh, this is my situation right now. And I am very happy that you are all here to listen to what I have to say. So, guys and girls, I've been having a crisis about which direction this podcast is supposed to go. I've been going in all directions. At first, episode one, I was talking to you about, okay, hey guys, I'm gonna start a podcast. And then I did a self-introduction, told you about my history, and then I got a bit more serious, and I started talking about learning stuff, you know, vocabulary, English teaching, and public speaking stuff. And then something happened. Actually, when I started going that direction, I noticed that actually people unsubscribed from my podcast. This is this is the data. Uh and that made me curious. It made me think, what exactly do you want from me? What kind of person are you? What kind of person am I? So it's really got me thinking which direction I want to go for this podcast. Do I want to be serious? Do I want to be funny? Do I want to be silly? Do I wanna be crazy? Do I wanna be annoying? Do I want to be more on the Asian side, more on the Western side? Well, and and and I think the result is I think I just gotta do me. I gotta be me, baby. I gotta do the most natural thing possible, and that is just to talk about whatever's on my mind. You see, I was researching a bunch of different podcasts, and I told myself, okay, I gotta have like a theme. I gotta have um some sort of topic for each episode. I gotta do this format, A, B, C, D, E, F, G. And then I realized that, no, I don't. No, I don't. No, I don't. I just gotta do whatever comes out the top of my head. And and and and you know what? I like that idea because honestly, that is naturally who I am. And there were a few comments that actually really touched my heart. Somebody said, I love to hear you ramble. Excuse me. I love to hear you ramble. It basically means I just like to hear you go, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I like to hear you ramble. Okay, well, thank you very much. Another person said, I just like to hear you speak. I like to shadow you. I like to hear your thoughts. I like the way you tell stories. So I'm okay with that. In fact, nobody really commented on my last two episodes where I was all serious in teacher mode, in corporate trainer mode, saying, Wow, thank you for sharing. Wow, that was so professional. Wow. No, actually, most of the comments and feedback I've gotten about the podcast has been, I just like to hear you ramble. So, with that said, we're gonna ramble. Okay, we're gonna ramble, ramble, ramble. And I'm very happy to tell you we're gonna make this podcast an hour. Because somebody got mad at me. They were like, hey, bro, why is it so short? I was oh man, sorry, bro. I'm a busy guy. But I realized that honestly, true. For me, when I'm listening to podcasts, and it's funny, I thought about this too because I thought about, okay, what is the the the why do I listen to podcasts? And honestly, I noticed that I don't really listen to podcasts because I want to listen to something specifically. I just want to listen to something in the background. When I'm washing the dishes, right? When I'm maybe studying, when I'm working, when I'm taking a sh. You get what I mean. When I'm using the bathroom, when I'm in the shower, I just want something to listen to in the background. So I hope that I can be your background noise, and I hope that my rambling is not too incoherent for you. I hope it is okay with you, okay? So going forward, I'm just gonna do me. I'm just gonna say and talk about naturally what's off the top of my head. And I also want to talk to you about some stuff I've experienced recently. Some uh stories, some
Gym Pet Peeve #1
Jongossip, all types of things, all right? Now, before we move on, you can tell me in the comments, wherever you're listening, what exactly do you want from me? Are you okay with this format? Are you okay with me just rambling? Are you okay with just the style that I'm going for right now? Because that's the best I can do. It's just naturally me, okay? Now, what I want to talk to you about today is some stuff that happened to me recently. I'm gonna call some of you out. I'm not saying it's you, but I'm gonna call some of you out. I wanna ask you a question. What do you consider rude? What do you consider rude? Maybe you're a rude person, or maybe you're the type of person that says, oh, that's so rude. Okay, so I'm gonna say a few things in this podcast today, and don't get mad if it includes you, okay? First, I want to talk about gym etiquette. Okay. So uh recently I was at the gym. You know, I try to go two to three times a week, and I've uh recently enjoyed a new gym. I like it a lot. You know, it it's it's not easy to find a good gym, right? So the price is okay, the equipment is amazing, the atmosphere is great, but but, but, but we have some bad eggs in this gym. Have you ever been to the gym and you see something that just annoys you? Right? There's a few things, okay? So let me start with my my my story here, okay? So, first of all, why do people not put their weights away? Why? Why is it when somebody is done with the racks, is done with the barbell, is done with their dumbbells, why can't they put it back? Why can't they put their plates back? Tell me why. Why, why, what, what, why? What kind of person does that? And then, and then suckers like me, I got to clean up after them. They just get in there a little bit, right? And they just leave their stuff all over the place. And then me? Oh, it's my turn now. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, I gotta clean up after them, right? So why do it let me ask you a question if you're watching right now? Is it you, if you're listening right now, is it you do you do that? Because I'm calling you out right now. Put your stuff back. Put your plates back, bro. Rack them back up, put the dumbbells back, bro. Enough of that. Stop it. That's number one. Number two. When I was at the gym today, some guy was live streaming. Now, as a content creator, I'm okay with live streaming in public. If you've seen any of my videos, I do ridiculous stuff in public. Some may say crazy stuff. Okay, I I dress as waiters, I dress as waiters in restaurants, okay. I make, I yell out in public, I do crazy things, right? I wear costumes, I film in public all the time. But, but, but, but there's a few things here. When I film in public, I do not have any of the other people in the video. That's very important because I respect people's privacy. Okay, they're not in the videos, okay? And if they accidentally are, you know, if it's someone's there, I make sure that we we we change the camera angle. Or, you know, maybe I might ask them, like just say, I'm sorry, I'm gonna do a video. I just need one minute. Is that okay? I'm so sorry about that, okay? I generally try not to uh you know bother people because I'm the I'm the one being the the the the a-hole, honestly, doing crazy stuff in public. Now, streaming, I think, is a different thing. Why? Because the problem with streaming is that if I if I'm doing the live stream in public, well, people are gonna walk by, people are gonna get in the shot, and and then we're gonna have some issues here because they might be in it, right? Now, I can understand that. But bro, what would you do? What would you do if your mind said? Here's what happened. Imagine you're sitting there working out, right? You're doing some some some some pecs, some bench, rah, rah, right? And the machine, pec deck, you're pushing it there, and then some guy sits down right next to you, the machine next to you, sets up his phone for live stream, and you're in the shot. He's working out, and and you're in the back. And of course, when you're working out, you don't look good when you work out. The sound you're making sound awful. You another right? And I'm in the shot at this guy's live stream. That's embarrassing, bro. Come on, man. At least have the common courtesy to move over or something like that. Or or or get a different angle. You do you have to get this, you have to get this shot? Do you have to? Do you have to? Come on. I I'm I I'm I I'm rethinking right now. I'm thinking about, I said at the beginning of this podcast, I said, I'm just gonna be natural. And now I'm thinking about the person who listens to my podcast to go to sleep, and all they hear is me freaking out, making workout noises. Well, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. This is me. I'm I'm a loud, energetic person, okay? I'm thinking about the person that says, I like to imitate you when you speak English, and now he's hearing me go, uh, uh, excuse me, excuse me, okay. All right. So that's another person. Okay. The next thing I saw, okay. This is this is the this this this this next one is is
Gym Pet Peeve #2
JonI'll admit I have done some, I'm not gonna say gross stuff at the gym, but I I'm not I'll admit I I haven't been the cleanest person at the gym, okay? In my opinion, the the gym is just a dirty, nasty place. There's sweat everywhere, there's there's stuff everywhere, right? It's it's unavoidable, right? But dude, some people be sweating, some people be sweating their their their butts off. Like and when you are sweating like crazy, and you put your head on that machine, that little headrest right there, can't you wipe it off? Come on. You know when you go to the gym and you want to use the machine right there, the guy in front of you just lift up those weights, he gets off, he doesn't wipe anything down, and it just drops of water, like a waterfall, all this sweat all over there. That's nasty. Come on, help me out, man. Just wipe it down a little bit, please. It's all nasty. I'm not gonna pretend I'm the cleanest guy at the gym, okay? Alright? But when my head is sweating on the machines, the head presses, the bench, okay? It doesn't look that nasty, it doesn't look that crazy, alright? It made a little bit of a sweat spot, but not just sweat everywhere, okay? So come on, show some show some decency, some cleanliness, please, alright. Oh my goodness. You know, I'm beginning to wonder. Maybe I'm the problem. Maybe I'm the person that's got that's got the problem. Okay, another issue I have at the gym, okay? And again, I'm sorry. If you're listening right now, I'm I'm very sorry if if if if you're like, hey, that's me. Hey, that's what I do. Wait a minute. I I I I saw you today. Yeah, I'm calling you out, bro. Okay? You know, I don't know why. I have so many followers from the gym. I have so many followers from the gym. Every time every every gym I go to, oh my god, I know you! Oh my god, I know you take a picture with you. I am so thank you, thank you so much. I'm so I'm so happy that all my followers are so fit and healthy, and and I love you all. I love you all so much, okay? But I still gotta call out bad behavior. I still gotta call it out. I still gotta call it out. Alright? Here's another issue I hate him. Things at the gym. Other day working out, having a good workout. I hear this this this music. What's that music? It's not the it's not the it's not the it's not the it's not the speakers in the gym. It's not the gym's music. Wait a minute. This guy is working out next to me, and he's just blasting music from his phone. Bro. Bro. Come on, man. Why do people do this? Why do people think that everybody wants to hear their music? This guy is like playing, and it's not even good, it's not even good workout music. He's playing some lame music. I'm in a good workout, got a good, got a good pump in, and he's playing like some like lame rap. It's like it's not even good. He's playing like that. There's this there's this certain type of like TikTok music where it's like, I th what is it? It's like uh uh is it funk? Funk? It's like this like new electronic, it's not new, it's it's just like a certain like music for like working out. It's it's not it's not good music. I'm sitting here and and the thing is I have earbuds on, I have my own headphones on, but I can still hear the dude's music. I'm like, oh my god. I think that the problem with that, so that one, excuse me, that one I can't be too crazy about because I do live in Asia, I do live in China, and for some reason in China, and I've heard actually happens a lot in the USA as well, people just love to just blast their music, blast their videos full volume for everyone to hear. It's crazy. I mean, I mean like I remember one time, here's the thing. I don't want anybody hearing what I'm listening to watching on my phone. One time, I was on the subway, and there's this old man next to me on his phone, and I'm like, dude, why is his phone so loud? Why is he not wearing headphones? And all I hear on his phone is, oh, in Chinese, oh, shit go go. In Chinese it means, oh, thank you, brother, thank you, thank you. This guy was sending some girls, some, some, some gifts in a live stream. It's not his wife, not his girlfriend. I hope not his daughter. Maybe maybe maybe this grandpa was supporting his grandson. I kid, I kid. I'm so I'm sorry. That's that's wrong, that's wrong, that's wrong. But I don't want to hear some old man watching these these these videos, these girls dancing and then and then flirting with them. I don't want I don't want it. I don't want to hear it, okay? I don't I don't want it, all right. Where was I? Okay. I'm sorry. Uh I'm sorry. I just I just I just thinking about okay. I'm sorry, I apologize. I apologize, I can't maybe maybe you had a laugh with me as well. Or maybe maybe you're like, God, why is this guy laughing? I'm gonna get I'm gonna unscribe subscribe to this podcast. Or maybe, or maybe you are are on the subway right now and you have my my podcast on full volume. You know what? Hey, I would I would love that as support if you just played my videos at full blast and and and somebody
Gym Pet Peeve #3
Jonwould be like me, be like, what the hell, what the heck is this guy listening to on the subway, okay? Okay, where was I? Okay. So another thing I hate at the gym is okay, don't don't get mad, okay? This happens to me all the time. Now it it's a little different for me because like I get look at me. I I get recognized a lot. Oh my god, I'm such a celebration. Oh my god, I'm such a celebrity. I'm uh I'm somebody who I am. I it is what it is, okay? So I I go to the gym and people will recognize me, okay? So if I have earbuds in, okay, if I have earbuds in, if I have headphones on, I don't want to talk to you. I don't want to talk to you. Unless you're like, you're like, oh my god, is it you? Unless you're like one of my supporters, but yes, okay, I'll say hi, of course you, right? But I remember this old gym I used to go to, right? So I think there was like a rule, right? Like, like there's a at the gym, there's this rule, like, you'll have friends there, but you don't talk to them, but like you acknowledge them, right? So like you go to the gym and you see the guy that's always there, and like maybe you'll never say hello, maybe you never say hi, but you're just like you nod your head, like, hey, what's up? Just nod your head, right? That's it. And that's like your gym friend forever, right? And then, like, maybe you go to the gym at a certain like certain time. Like, some people go in the morning, some people go at night. Sometimes you go to like there's like nobody else there. It's just the two of you are working out there, right? So you see this part, you have to acknowledge it. If you don't acknowledge it, it's weird, right? So you're just like, Sub, right? You just nod, right? That's good, right? Fine. Because the gym is like, for me at least. The gym for me is a place to unwind, to meditate. That's my meditation. To just relax and also get rid of some flap. Goodness gracious. I feel like I'm getting fat these days. Excuse me. And so when I'm at the gym, I'm not there to be so so. I just want to work out. But then there's this guy at my old gym. He always wanted to talk to me. Have you ever been working out? And there's always that one person that wants to talk to you. You're you're like, you're in mid-rep, right? Oh, oh, oh. He's like, hey man, what's up? And failure drops on you. You die. Have you ever been to a place and like like you know the feeling like you're going somewhere and you know there's this one person that always wants to talk to you, just like, oh okay, how can I avoid this person? How can I not talk to this person, right? But like, if you're not friendly, you don't want to be like an a-hole, you don't want to be a jerk, right? You don't want to be like you go to this place and the guy's like, hey man, what's up? And you just you just just walk right past them. Or like, like he's like, hey, hello, and you just you're just like oh I didn't see anything. So I I don't give me a second. I'm sorry, I gotta I gotta blow my nose. I'm sorry. I'm leaving this in the podcast. I'm leaving it in, guys and girls, like because I want you to know I'm having such a good time. I'm laughing so hard that I had to blow my nose, okay? Okay, by the way, I'm sitting in a room by myself and like just like laughing. And uh, maybe I'm being too noisy and my neighbors will hear me. Whatever. Who cares? It's
Gym Pet Peeve #4
Jonfor the podcast, baby. Okay, where was I? So, yes, I don't want to talk to you at the gym. Please no, please no, okay? Just stop it, alright? Now, my biggest pet peeve at the gym. This is nasty, okay? What is the nastiest thing that you have encountered at the gym? For me, one time I'm going to the locker room, I'm changing, and I'm like, what's that smell? Something smells funky in here. Now, this gym was designed in a weird way, and the design was the bathrooms were outside the gym, like at the main door to the left. That means you have to leave the gym to go to the bathroom. But the showers were inside. So I noticed there was this guy that after a few sets, he would just go in the locker room, come out, and I'm like, huh. Usually if you're going to the locker room, that's because you're changing, you're getting ready to go, or you're getting ready to leave, or maybe you need to grab something, right? I don't know, right? But he kept going like a few times in a few hours. What's going on here? I go to the shower stall and I smell pee. Pee! This man was pissing in the shower. Come on, bro. What are we doing here? What what is this? You can't go outside. You can't you can't walk two minutes to the bathroom outside the door. You just you just have to pee in the shower. What are you an animal? A dog? Like a freaking untrained cat or whatever. What else peas like like a like an animal? An animal. An animal. And I bet you, I bet you are guilty of this deal, aren't you? Listen to me. Listen to me. It's one thing, and I'm gonna say something right now, and you're gonna be like, Ew, bro, don't lie to me, bro. Don't lie to me, bro. It's one thing to pee in your own shower. It's one thing to pee in your own shower in your own home. But you can't be peeing in public showers. You can't be peeing in your gym's shower. What's wrong with you? You disgust me. Oh, you think that's bad. Pee is one thing. One time, a man pooed in my old gym shower. You know, I'm not gonna talk more about this. I I this this is a family-friendly podcast. Not explicit. The whole family can enjoy. Excuse me. By the way, this is how unprofessional you can tell that you're just like, like, well, how come in podcasts I never hear somebody cough or sneeze or blow their nose? Well, usually because they edit out, okay? I'm not gonna do that, alright? I'm editing the podcast myself. I'm gonna keep it as natural as possible. So I want to ask you all, okay? Of all the things I just said, not racking your weights, sweating all over the equipment, uh, what's the other one I said? Uh playing your music really loud, using the bathroom and the showers, okay? Just talking to just people trying to talk to you when you're working out. My first question for you is which one of these is uh whatever, and then which one is the worst, okay? That's the first question. Number two is which one of these things do you do? I know you do some of these things, bro. I may do some of them too, okay? But I'm not that's my show. Which one of these things do you do? Oh my god. But I mean, what are you supposed to do, right? I mean, I I I I encounter these things all the time, and I I thought, you know, I thought to myself, okay, well, maybe I shouldn't talk about these things in the podcast, you know, but you know, it's funny. I figure I figure we just talk about some gossip, you know, but I know people are getting mad at me, whatever. It's okay. Be mad at me, it's fine. I I love you too. So I would love uh going forward uh with the podcast, I would love a few things for you. So as you could see, this is a solo podcast. And if and if you're listening right now, I'm happy to have you here. Um if you if you're enjoying it, please remember to like. Uh that helps a lot. Subscribe, and of course, uh leave a review. If you can, wherever, that would be very, very good, guys. The the funny thing is actually is that the podcast, so um, I think right now we are at a thousand downloads, and that's uh globally. Now, I think that's not bad for you know after a week of starting. And for me, I haven't really heavily advertised the the podcast as well. Like I haven't like I've sent out a link at a few places, but you know, the the
Thoughts on the podcast progress
Jonproblem is you have to be careful you can't you can't send links everywhere. Um some platforms don't allow it, but I've done it in sneaky ways, right? So I think we're doing okay. Um, you know, for for me, I'm I'm learning a lot. Um, I'm I'm trying to become a better podcaster. You know, I can always I can talk. You know, talking for me is not an issue, but it it's just it's just more of the I think you know what it's it's it's um it's segments. And I understand why people will have like a podcast producer, right? It's like, okay, well, like the first 10 minutes we'll talk about this, they'll pause. What do we talk about next? Or maybe there's something on my screen. Problem is for me, like right now, I'm looking at my camera on my laptop right now. So I I'm I'm kind of like monitoring myself right now. But we're we're we're working on it, you know. We're working on it. Uh I'm filming right now the video podcast. Again, if you're listening right now, don't forget, the video podcast is available everywhere, and the audio podcast is available everywhere as well. So go for it, right? But um I am considering getting a camera. I've mainly filmed everything from all my content on the on the uh iPhone. Uh iPhone, if you're hearing, I'm you can sponsor me. I'd love that. I'd love I'd love that. My first sponsor. And actually, it's been really reliable. The issue, though, is that filming in 4K for after 30 minutes, dude, your phone will turn into like a fireball. It gets so hot that I'm like, okay, am I like, is my phone gonna explode? Am I gonna fry anything inside? Is it gonna die on me? So I I am a little bit worried about that, but I I I think so far so good. So I'm looking into a camera right now. Um, if you have any recommendations, excuse me, if you have any recommendations for a uh podcast camera that I could film for like an hour, oh, I would love that. I would really like that, okay? So back to what I was saying. So what I would like to do for the podcast, again, going forward, I'm just gonna speak about what's on my mind. So it's not that you know, stuff I've been heard about recently, but I I do I don't want to waste your time. And what I mean by that is I want to, if I if I'm talking about things, I want you to enjoy it. I I I want you, you know, a lot of people follow me not because they want to learn. You know, learning is one thing. But I think they follow me because they want to laugh, they want to enjoy themselves, they want to hear something they're interested in. So you too can tell me your ideas as well. And I think what I'd like to do is I'd like to answer your questions. So if you could write me questions in the comments, if you could you know send me messages, um, any way you can think about, I would love to answer them in the podcast as well. Because I think that'd be a great opportunity to like share some of my funny experience, my stories, and etc. You know? But yeah, I I think honestly, if I could be totally honest with all of you here, you know, I remember I started the episode saying that uh I just gotta be myself, I'm having an identity crisis, but the my my biggest thing is that I am being effing humbled right now. I mean, I have been so used to you know success with content. You know, my main account is quite well, very successful, pays the bills, and then some. I mean, but this podcast now is really like building from the ground up. Building from the ground up. So sometimes I post something and I see the numbers, I'm like, oh, it hurts, it hurts my heart. Oh, why didn't anybody tell me that doing a podcast is hard? I thought, okay, I get a mic, I film myself, I talk, millions of subscribers, millions of dollars. Oh, not the case. Well, a little bit a little bit of subscribers, a little bit of money. But I I sometimes forget that, you know, because it's funny, you know, I I'm not starting a podcast when it was the time to start. I'm I think I'm late because everybody's got a podcast now. Everybody's got one. But I I will say that because I am based in China, the concept of podcasting, I I would say is actually not that as popular as it is in the the West as it is here in in China, maybe Asia as well. So podcasting here, I do feel is starting to become more of a bigger thing. And I've noticed that more and more are popping up. In fact, in fact, another thing I have an issue with. Very interesting. I launched my English podcast. All of a sudden, I've noticed there's a lot, uh a few new English podcasts as well. Huh. Big Johnny setting some trends, eh? No, no, no. I I'm not gonna pretend, I'm not gonna sit and pretend like I'm not I'm the first person having like an English podcast, right? No, hell no. No way, no way. But I I I think that it is cool. I do know that people see this and like, oh, maybe I could do that. I could do that as well, right? But I see, I I've noticed, I've no, I've noticed what the hard thing is, you know. So I think about like for me, like, why do I find a podcast? Why do I listen to a podcast? And generally, it's not because, like, oh, I saw a clip. Sometimes I saw a video. Usually when I see a video, I prefer the video over the audio. I don't know why, but usually it's word of mouth. Someone's like, dude, you gotta hear this podcast, dude. This podcast is so funny, dude. This is that there's it's really interesting. So that again goes back to my identity crisis I was telling you about earlier. Like, what's interesting about this podcast? Right? What's what's interesting about what I have to say? What what is would you share this podcast? I mean, I think I should be more confident. I think I should be, I think I should have more faith in myself. I I you know, not to be super serious teacher mode, okay? Uh, I should have more confidence and I should have more a better self-image, right? People are sharing my podcast, and uh people love it. Uh you can tell me. You can tell me uh again, if my podcast is shareable. I mean, you could tell me what your thoughts are. I again, I really appreciate the support. I I want to tell everyone again. I I I know I I told you I don't want to be, I'm not, I'm gonna try not to be so serious anymore. If you're listening to episode, this should be episode six Arnell. If you're listening to episode six, Arnell, yes, I'll admit episode four, episode five, I don't know what I would say. I just got too serious. And I after I posted, I'm like, this is not fun. This is not relaxing. I want to hear this, right? People want to relax and have a good time, right? I honestly for me, I I listened most of my podcasts or comedy podcasts, right? There's people messing around or joking around or having a good time relaxing, right? Because life is hard enough, right? But again, I need your help, everybody. You gotta tell me what do you want to hear. Uh, I think the best thing, again, if you have some funny stories, some funny gossip, some funny things that happen to you, some things you heard about, you definitely gotta share that with me. I'm gonna think about a way, like, okay, maybe I can have like a um, maybe I can have like a like an email or like a a place you could leave a comment, or maybe I'll I'll maybe I'll meet like a pin post or something like that. Okay, that would be awesome. So this way I can sort of interact with you in one way or the other, okay, because again, I am in this for the long haul. Back to what I was saying. See, I told, I told, I told you I'm a rambler, right? I like I was just talking about this thing, and then I went here, here, here, here, here, and I just rolled all the way back, right? I realized again that these successful podcasts, they're like at like episode a thousand. I'm just starting right now. I'm at episode six only, but I am so grateful for for what I have, guys and girls. Little wins, okay? Little, little wins, little victories. They add up, they accumulate their experience. They're a good thing, baby. It's all good, it's all good, okay? It's all good, alright? So, with that said, ladies and gentlemen,
Calling people out
JonI am again very happy to be here with you all, okay? I know we had some gossipy stories about the gym today, and I apologize. I apologize if I called you out here on the podcast. Here's what I'm gonna do. If I see you in person, right? Okay, be prepared. Be prepared. If I see you in person, I'm like, hey, bro, stop that. Hey, bro, clean your stuff up. Hey, what are you doing, bro? I love calling people out. It is my favorite thing in the world. I love calling out bad behavior. My favorite thing, for example. I love oh, oh, oh, I love it. I love it. Let me ask you a question. When you see bad behavior in public, do you say something? Or are you just like, I don't want to bring the attention to myself? No. For example, I seen a man cut in line the other day. I yelled out, hey, no cutting, get in line. And then you know what happened after that? All of a sudden, I said that somebody said, Hey, yeah, no cutting. Yeah, that's right, no cutting in line. Yeah, that's right, I've been in line for an hour. What are you doing, bro? Yes, you need to stand up and lead the way and bad behavior, these things that should be corrected. We have to say something. I am sick and tired of this. Oh, Asians don't do that. This, uh by the way, sorry, if you're not Asians on the podcast, okay. Let me explain this this the stigma, the stereotype. Well, it's not to say it is that's true a lot of times. Why are Asian people so quiet all the time about stuff? Uh, we don't like to bring attention to ourselves. No, enough of this, dude. This is why Asians get picked on so much, okay, bro. All right? No more honor. No more of this, this, this, this, no more of this emotional damage. Stephen Hall, I love you. If you're listening to this pod, I doubt you are, but I love you. I love yourself. Look up to you. But when you see this bad behavior, say something. So, for example, me, all the stories I told, let me, let me, let me, let me, let me run it by you, okay? You don't put your your weights away? Hey, put your weights back. Huh? Huh? What? And if this person says, hey, bro, F you, no, at least I tried. Or maybe he's huge, he's a big guy, okay? He's like, why don't you put him away before I beat you up? Yes, sir. Yes, master, yes, daddy. Okay, if I see you, okay, you're sweating all over the machines, you're all over the place. Hey, wipe that stuff up. It's nasty, dog. Wipe it up, wipe it up, wipe it down, wipe it up, wipe it left, wipe it right, wipe it around, get it out of here. I don't want to see it, man. I don't want your nasty germs. I don't want your nasty sweat. I don't want your nasty stuff all over me, man. Come on, bro. If you are playing your music loud on your phone, guess what I'm gonna do? I'm gonna do the same thing. I'm gonna make my music even louder. I like listening to metal, okay? I don't play it as loud as possible. It's my favorite thing to do. My favorite thing to do. And people are like, hey man, why is your music so loud? Why is your music so loud, bro? I can't hear my music, so I gotta make my music louder. See, that's what people don't understand. That's how you battle this behavior. You have to become evil, okay? If you think, hey, can you turn your music down? No, no, no, no, no. Let me tell you. If you see somebody, they're listening to their phone, their videos, it's all noisy, not playing any headphones, right? And it's bothering you, you don't say, hey, can you turn down what you do is you fight fire with fire. Okay? You become the villain. Okay. You get your phone, you turn it max volume, you play the most annoying song, your favorite song, you stand right next to them and you do the same exact thing. And then, of course, film it and post it on TikTok so I can laugh my butt off, all right? I'm gonna say that I would do that. That's crazy. That's crazy, but I you can do it and I'll watch. And like I said, you start, you lead the way. You start the revolution, my friend, okay? You start the revolution. If I see you doing that, my last story. If I see you peeing in the shower at the gym, okay, I will get in there. I will grab you midstream, bro, okay? You'll be sitting there being you nasty person, okay? If I see this person again being in the shower at the gym, I will grab them by their shirt and then be like, pee will fly everywhere. But you know what? We will protect the facility, we will protect the sanctity of the gym, the honor of the gym. I shall not let you desecrate the gym with that foul urine. That's my duty to society, to you. I will be your hero. With that said, ladies and gentlemen, that's another episode of the John Pang Show. Again, the podcast is available everywhere. Uh, please uh watch it everywhere, listen everywhere, and please, if you can, subscribe. If you can, leave your review, tell me how much you love me, and again, leave some comments. I really appreciate we're trying to grow here. Uh, share some funny stories, some comments, some questions, and then uh in the future, I will try to answer them in the podcast. I'd really like to have a segment like that where I can answer your questions. I love you all. Okay. Thanks again for your support. If you liked it, let me know. And uh, I'll see you at the gym, bro. Bye. Take care. See ya. Take care.
