SPEAKER_01

Yes, so thank you so much for joining me and welcome to my channel. It's my pleasure, Pooja. How are you? I'm doing great. Everything is on track, everything is yanky dory.

SPEAKER_00

Thanks for asking me. What about you? I'm also doing great, and uh, thank you so much for asking me to. And uh, so let's start with this conversation. Yes, so have you come on your household chores? Yes, I have completed, and uh, after completing my household chores, I did some revision also like phrases and yeah, you know, most of the time, I yeah, most of the time I get free around 11 to 12, between 11 to 12.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, the same also get time 11 to 12, sometime 11, sometime 12, and two days off, like uh two days uh uh good Friday. So my son's school is off, so that's why I get time little early. I got uh time little early, so I got free at 10:30 am.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, so that's great. Yeah, so the morning would be quite uh productive for you, I think.

SPEAKER_01

So yeah, yeah, these days because in the morning I try to read a few pages of book because uh in the daytime I can't get time, so I prefer to read in the morning, so yeah, so it was quite productive for me.

SPEAKER_00

So you are okay. So you are into reading nowadays, yes, right?

SPEAKER_01

Yes, yeah, but reading and writing, you know, you know, I was not in time for but okay, you are yes, um deliberately, deliberately, I inculcated the habit, and now I'm enjoying.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, that's great. Actually, it's quite hard for me to inculcate these two habits writing and reading. So I'm trying, I'm also trying to take you know to squeeze out some time for reading and writing, but it's quite difficult for me. And I think that I'm not into reading and writing, that's why I'm not uh putting that much effort towards these two skills.

SPEAKER_01

But I will do it's not happened with you only, it's happened with everyone. Uh, what uh almost 80% paper with it's happened, so maybe, but once you started uh reading uh books and also I I will bet you you will find some other kind of uh uh happiness and peace while reading because I was not into that. Once I started, then after one month, I totally engrossed deliberately down the line.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yes, yes, I will definitely try down the line. I will look forward to uh inculcating this habit of reading. So let's see what happens.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, uh so we are meeting at the very first time, right? We are confirmed first time. So could you introduce yourself or not still so our viewer can get to know and they can connect with you?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so my name is Mekha and I hail from Utrahand, but currently I'm living in uh Delhi. I have completed my BSC from Delhi University, and after getting married, uh I quit my job for the sake of my family. And nowadays I'm working on my communication skills. Uh, moreover, I provide tuition from 4:30 to 6 30 in the evening, and furthermore, uh, I run a YouTube channel with the name Mega's English Galaxy, and uh, so that's all about me. Oh, great. I think may I know also?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, definitely, and I think we both are in the same boat because I had to leave my job for the sake of my child for the sake of responsibility because I live in nuclear family. Okay, so let's introduce myself.

SPEAKER_00

Actually, it happens with most of uh you know women after marriage because we have a lot of things on our plates, so we have to compromise somewhere, you know. And I think it's better for our family, also. Right, we cannot take it in a negative way, it's good for our family and for us also, right?

SPEAKER_01

It's good for us too. Uh, like we can't do everything, we can't manage everything if we go office, so we have to manage our house, we have to take care of our child, and we have everything we have to take care of, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Office work too, so we have to manage everything as a woman's right, so and it's not a piece of cake, so that's why it's better to stay home and for me, it's basically I can't manage everything, and I am kind of a speak and spend person.

SPEAKER_01

I want everything should be perfect, everything should be neat and clean, so it is not a piece of cake for me. I can't see so I know a little bit about you, yes, yes, definitely. Uh, so my name is Poja Shin, and I am from Lakna Uttar Pradesh, and I'm basically from Mijapur because due to my husband's job, I am living in uh Lucknow. It's been six years now, it became my home, and I have completed my BTEC in electronic and communication. I was working earlier, but uh, as I told you, due to the my some circumstances for the sake of my child, I had to leave my job, and it's been six months. I have been policing and refining my communication skill because I really wanted to do something. And then I stumbled upon one conversation video that intriguing me uh to make such kind of video and upload such kind of video on YouTube. So I started learning English and uploading video on YouTube. Uh, so I'm thoroughly enjoying uh doing these things, I'm thoroughly enjoying the process of learning too, and I am fond on cooking, but not all the time. Whenever I get time, I try to experiment such uh few diseases which I have watched uh with YouTube. So I I want to experiment that thing, that disease, and I have a green thumb. Whenever I get time, I love to take care of my plant and I love to read books these days, and uh simultaneously I also run a YouTube channel by the name of English Jubilation, uh, where I upload this type of conversation B2 and some source video. Channel is totally dedicated to English, and recently I started giving online English spoken classes uh for beginner, so it's all about me.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, what uh what a lovely introduction, and you wear many hats. Thank you. You are doing a lot of you are into so many things, so that's great, commendable. Thank you. You are also doing it uh a lot of things.

SPEAKER_01

You have also uh like lots of feather in your cab, right? So, as a woman, I think every woman has lots of feather in their cab, right?

SPEAKER_00

We have lots of systems. I believe we should you know work on our skills, we should uh you know try to improve ourselves so that essentially whenever you get free from your responsibilities, you have something to do. Yes, so that's what I believe. Yeah, and if you want to grow in life for our best so if you want yeah, for our betterment, we can say so. If you want to move up the ladder, you have to take a plunge. So these are uh you know baby steps to towards your future, towards your goal, we can say, right, right, right, and with the baby step, we can uh make a huge difference, we can achieve a lot right.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so what the changes did you feel after getting married?

SPEAKER_00

When did you get married? I know uh in 2022, only 23, in the beginning of 23, Jan 22nd January 23. Two years has been completed, I think that three years this year we have completed three, yeah. Okay January 22nd, yeah. So you have completed three years now. Yeah, so what the changes did you feel after getting married? There are so many uh changes. Uh the responsibilities are the the responsibilities are at it peaks, but you know these responsibilities are a face of life. We should know we cannot run away from these responsibility uh responsibilities, and we have to, you know, we should, you know, uh face these challenges like uh what would I say like uh biting the bullets in this way we can face these challenges. Yeah, so we should bite the bullet. I and I have the ability to bite the blue bullet, so I always try uh to do best, to do my best, and um uh I always try to strike a balance between you know professional and personal life, and I think I'm doing great. Yeah, yeah, you are doing great, yes, right, right. You are right. So, when did you start your English journey? Actually, I studied a few months back only. Uh, I was uh I'm I'm from an English medium background, but uh I never gave you know time to my speaking skills, although I was uh in English medium schools and college time also. But uh, if I talk about speaking practice, there was no speaking environment, although. But last year in the month of April, I started my YouTube channel with the name Megha's English Galaxy. So I used to teach grammar. My grammar was good because of I I dedicated two years to government exam preparation, and so during that phase, my grammar became quite good. So I was you know delivering lectures related to grammar, but few months, you know, due to some unfavorable conditions. Uh, you know, there are so many things going around me. My father-in-law's and watched their video, yeah, yeah. So because of that, yeah, yeah, because of that, I shifted my niche from grammar to conversational videos due to health issues, my health issues, and as well as my father-in-law's health, also. So I shifted my niche from grammar to conversational videos.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah, because the conversation video is quite interesting, quite fine-speaking rather than and I think it is easier than we call it in grammar sessions.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, you have to put a lot of efforts in that.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, in that way, we are just killing two words with a shingle, like we can entertain ourselves while talking to the other person, and we can motivate, we can get motivation. So, yeah, and we can upload the same video on YouTube, we can help the other person.

SPEAKER_00

So, in that way, it's a win-win situation, it's a win-win situation. So it's a win-win situation. Yes, yeah, yeah. Do you have any questions? I was asking, yeah, I was asking how your daily routine looks like.

SPEAKER_01

How my daily routine, okay. So nowadays, um I wake up because in the winter in the month of uh December and December, January, February. I skipped uh um going for uh work and all morning work. So I started uh from this uh 28. I think 28 March. From 28 March, and it's been almost uh one week, and I started uh going for morning work and then I read a few pages of book, and then I rushed into the kitchen for uh making lunch for my sons and all. Uh so then I have to went to my I have to go my son's school for dropping and like I do drop him and pick him him up, both things I do every day. Uh, and in between that I try to complete all my household chores and I try to get time, uh 11 and 12, 11 to 12, and in between that I if I have time, so I schedule some shesan, and then uh in the evening I schedule uh uh session because 5 to 7 I have time, so 11 to 12 and 5 to 7. I try to have shesan and then 7 to 9 I again I engrossed with my um kitchen and all for dinner and all. So and uh 9 to 10 I uh talk with one of my friends every day. She's also an English learner, uh, so that helped me a lot. We both had it kind of win-win situation on video call. I met him, I met her uh through the YouTube, and uh it's been six months. We have been practicing together on video call after completing all my household chores. We do every day. Uh 9 to 10, and 10 to 11 I watch some English content, some English video, and uh I hit the hay at 11 p.m. Yeah, okay. So that's great. So lovely day routine uh ended with 11.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, so 6 a.m. to uh 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Yeah, 6 a.m.

SPEAKER_01

So you didn't take a nap in the yeah I forgot, I forgot to tell you I took uh short nap 3:30 to 4 30 because um I am because my son is not uh she doesn't able to take nap without me, so it's my compulsion to take some nap someday. Uh like I pretend to okay, I am sleeping, but I was not because to make him sleep tending to him. Yeah, I'm sleeping. So how old uh is he is five years old?

SPEAKER_00

So you have only one son or two? No, one son. Okay, so five years old is yeah, five years old he is yes, right. So when do you wake up? I uh yeah, so I wake up at uh 6 a.m. in the morning, and after that, you know, I take uh I freshen up and uh take a bath, and then I had head straight to the kitchen and prepare breakfast for my family. Then I go to temple, which is nearby my home, Shiv Temple, and I devotee of yeah, every day I go to Shiv Temple, and yeah, so after coming from that temple, I go to I go to Roof to you know pour water on the plants like you know, on the plants like plants like lentils, tulsi, okay, which is a sacred uh sacred plant. So I every day I pour water into that plant and also in Bail Patra. And after that I come down, yeah. So after that I come downstairs and you know, ready my husband breakfast on the table, and after he leaves, after he leaves, I just wind up my kitchen work and then my house help arrives and she does all the mopping and grooming related work. After that, I get free around 11 a.m. and I do some revision. You know, I do some revision work related to English after that. I take a nap. Today I didn't take a nap because I have a lot of money. Sorry, sorry for that. Actually, it's quite difficult to find a co-learner to interact with. So that's why I thought, you know, I don't want to miss the boat, so that's why I grabbed the opportunity and I I thought I should take this session because it's hard to find a co-learner. So yeah, so then so today I will take nap from 3:30 to 4:30. So I I I you know I have already decided in the corner of my mind I will take rest because uh taking rest is very compulsory for me, especially for me, because it is just like refreshing myself, my body, my mind, and it's very compulsory because I have to take classes, teaching classes, yeah, yeah, yes.

SPEAKER_01

4:30 to 630.

SPEAKER_00

If your mind, yeah, yeah. So if your mind uh would be you know refreshed, then only I can give my best to my friends. So that's the reason behind that. Yeah, yeah, and after uh after getting free, you know, six after 6 30. I get free. Then again, I do some uh evening prayers, then I go to kitchen, then prepare dinner. So the same things repeat every day, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So and I really appreciate your effort in that busy schedule. You are just trying to have shakes and you are trying to connect. So you are already doing great. So, what brings you here? Like, why do you want to level your your English? You are also like you are already provide classes and all.

SPEAKER_00

So, what brings you here? English is uh quite prominent language, global language. So, everybody should know this language, it would be you know uh beneficial in some or the other way. Down the line, I I you know, I I I for example, if uh any any time, any situation can come in front of you, right? So you should be prepared for that.

SPEAKER_01

And English, I think if you know English, yes, English is kind of right. That English can open lots of opportunity for you. You can do anything if you know English, so you can get a job easily. Yeah, doesn't matter how qualified you are.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, qualification doesn't matter, but your you know your speaking skills matters a lot, right? Yeah, yeah, because of that. Yes, so did you join uh Sunita Ma'am group, WhatsApp group? Actually, I joined for one month in I think from uh Fab 17 to 17th March. From 17 Fab to 17th March. Yeah, for one month, and uh you know the teachers are quite good. Sunita ma'am and Neharana ma'am are quite good, but uh I was not able to take sessions because of time limited time yeah, time limited because the timings are quite different from my schedule. Sometimes ma'am takes session in the evening for from 4 30 to 4. But I am I'm busy at my tuition classes at that time, so because and in the morning, Neha ma'am take uh Neha ma'am takes classes in the morning, and sometimes I didn't uh I you know I didn't get free from my household stores or my responsibilities, so the timings didn't match with me, so because of that, I you know didn't rejoin again. Yeah, so I joined for one month, but it was uh you know beneficial for me in a way, like I find some co-learners there, so in that way, yeah. So I find some co-learners there, so it was beneficial in that way. Other than that, teachers are very good if you have time, so it's quite good.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and uh so have you connected uh with Sunita ma'am or Neharana ma'am uh for YouTube session? I connected to Sunita ma'am. Okay, so I have a video with her also in her channel, Sunita's initial and recently I had connected with uh her Sunita ma'am. Okay, um they both are very good. Yeah, one week I have been trying to connect with her since a long time. It's been uh six months, no, not six months, four months. Finally, yeah, finally I got that opportunity, it's kind of opportunity, right? They are busy, that's right, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

They are busy actually, it's quite difficult to manage time for every co-learner, every learner, right?

SPEAKER_01

But still they try with the classes, with the classes, right?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and they can because they have also a lot of things on their plate, household shows, and classes, and uh YouTube channel as well, right?

SPEAKER_01

So there are so many I really appreciate her, and that so that uh she gave me that opportunity. I really thankful for her for that things, yeah. Yes, uh so uh okay, you are from English medium school, right? So are you had knowledge about grammar, uh vocabulary, and you know how to like you can understand everything, whatever in English. So when you start uh English, um when we start speaking with someone in English, so what was your first first reaction? Uh, did you feel uh fumbling and did you feel cold feet and all? Or uh did you feel like comfortable with someone?

SPEAKER_00

Actually, when I started a few months back only, because there was as I already mentioned, there was no speaking environment. Everybody speaks um in Hindi around me. Right. So whenever I started speaking practice, so alone I did, I used to speak uh, you know, in front of camera in the beginning of the journey, then alone in the room, then in front of camera. So in the starting, I used to feel apprehensive, but after spending three to four months, because it uh because I had I had an English medium background, so I think I I removed that hesitation. So now I feel confident I can speak in front of anybody, be it an expert, a beginner, or colon in front of anybody. I can speak. Um, although I'm not that much fluent, but um I can speak.

SPEAKER_01

No, you speak well, you are confident too because uh you um like you always take Sation and not Sation, you always take classes with uh like other students, so you are quite confident you can like you are uh already habitual.

SPEAKER_00

Because yeah, so confidence is because of that, also because I yes I'm teaching classes, yeah, I can teach. Yeah, yeah. So I have been teaching since uh for a long time because of that, also. You can see yes, yes, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So it was a not uh kind of um regress, uh like hard not to crack for you in the initial time because you were quite habitual with uh crowd and with the people, right?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you can say, yes, and I was in uh I was in regular college, so there I also used to give presentation in front of a lot of audience. So uh so there was not that much hesitation or fear of facing people, but the hesitation was that if I would speak something wrong in front of audience, so the fear was that only I has that I had that phobia only, but uh uh when you know make your mouth habitual of that language, that particular language, then that's yeah, so that it um it doesn't erode my confidence, but I I'm you know improving, I'm you know, policing my skills day by day. So in this way, I'm also overcoming this phobia of making mistakes.

SPEAKER_01

I think no one can be um get rid of hundred percent of hesitation and nervousness, nervous risk. Right, although they are quite uh eloquent speaker and they are uh kind of fearless, they maybe they pretend to be fearless, but inwardly they have one percent, but they have nervousness.

SPEAKER_00

So I remember or yeah, you know, I remember um EDM or phrase, what would I say uh from um from the uh session of uh I I forgot the name of Sadhguru Sar, I think so. His teacher in English, Yari. So he uh you know he tells a line, he told a line in one of his video, fake it until you make it. Make it, yeah. So I love this line. Yeah, fake it until you make it. So, as you just mentioned, that everybody has a fear, but they try to pretend that they are not in fear, yes. So it's just resemble to that line, fake it until you make it, and one day definitely you will make it.

SPEAKER_01

You will make it right, right, right. I love this line, and I follow so and nowadays have you told everyone your family member and relative uh for subscribing our channel and all? Have you told in the beginning, in the beginning when I started last year? Yes, yes. So have you now been when I started aware about this? You are running your own YouTube channel, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

In my family, everybody knows. And the in the because it has been one year on 17th April, on 17th April, I will complete one year, and although uh throughout this year I was not consistent, I took gap three months gap, two months gap. I was not consistent. If I would be consistent, I think I would have completed the target which YouTube provides you. You have to hit this target in order to monetize your channel. Monetization, right? Monetization, yeah. So yeah, although I have completed subscribers, but the channel is not yet monetized.

SPEAKER_01

But maybe uh due to the uh wash time, you haven't completed right uh it, right? Yes, wash time, yes.

SPEAKER_00

So although it has been one year, but I worked uh only six months, you can say not consistently. I I was not consistent on this channel, yes, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So because life is not not all about bed of roses, it's kind of bumpy road, right? Yeah, we have to face after so we can't say we can't uh be consistent that we can't be consistent, be consistent, and we can't follow or with persistency too. Because being a housewife, being a mother, not mother, you are not a mother, I am mother. So being a housewife being open, we have to do lots of things, we have to complete lots of responsibility. So, due to that, and uh last time when I went for Madden House, so that time I had lots of um video, so I schedule every video before going there.

SPEAKER_00

So, because I don't want to whenever I do my Madden home, I also prepare so many content there because there I get much time before because of that.

SPEAKER_01

No, I don't get time at my Madden house, so I prepared everything here because I want to be relaxed there. I don't want to engrossed with my uh phone, laptop, and everything. I want to relax there, so that's why so that's why you prepared before going there, right? Yeah, because I know there I can't get time because everyone is around me and here and there, and my mom always tells me why you are always using phone, it's kind of yeah, yes.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, he kept saying me again and again happen, yeah. Same thing happens with me also. So, what I do, I just fix a timing whenever you know the people at my mad then homes sleep, go to sleep in the in the daytime. So I use that time.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, so uh, do you have any question, any query? Then you can ask me. Otherwise, uh, we should wind up this session.

SPEAKER_00

We have some limited time on oh no, that's all about it, and I will looking forward to one more session with you. Yes, and uh yeah, so nice talking to you, Pujaji, and uh have a lovely day ahead. Thank you so much.

SPEAKER_01

Thank you so much, thank you so much. It was a really meaningful session, insightful session for me. I learned a lot from you. You are a really thank you so much doing great. Appreciate like you are doing great thing, and uh I really appreciate your effort and dedication towards English because already you are uh providing classes, and despite of that, you are putting effort with the English, so it is quite uh appreciable. So, thank you so much for joining.
