Buckle the f*ck in. We’re going back to 2012.

A year when One Direction was a full-blown cult, Instagram filters made every photo look vaguely haunted, Taylor Swift started going pop, and everyone thought the world might actually end.

In the first episode of Nothing’s Ever New, I’m handing out high school superlatives to the songs, memes, movies and cultural chaos that defined my senior year.

We’re talking “Call Me Maybe,” Kony 2012, Honey Boo Boo, the Cup Song, Frank Ocean, The Hunger Games, overly attached girlfriends, sepia filters and five British guys in impossibly tight jeans.

Some of it aged beautifully. Some of it should have stayed buried. And some of it proves the whole point of this show: the names change, the platforms change, but the chokehold is basically the same.

Class is officially in session.

What's up? It's your boy Ryan. This is the Nothings Ever New podcast, and it's time to buckle the fuck in. Welcome back, everybody. My name is Ryan. My world's on fire. How about yours? This is the Nothings Ever New podcast, and we're here to talk about all things pop culture and nostalgia and get some giggles along the way. It is currently the year of our Lord 2026, and there's so much going on right now. It's summer. I have no idea when this episode is gonna come out, so we're just gonna talk like we know. It's summer. I this is awful, and I'm sure that this is probably an awful way to start this. I heard someone refer to this summer as a dead Republican summer. That's a little dark, so sorry, but that is to just set the scene for everybody what's been going on in the news lately. Um, it's also a World Cup season. We're gonna circle back around to that on the end here. And I think Love Island is still going on. I'm not involved in the Love Island universe. That is not for me. I have a I just reality TV and I, and it has nothing to do with, I don't think I'm better than reality TV. I know that I'm not, but I it's a little like you don't there's two things you don't want to know how they're made. It's sorry, I let me rephrase. It's three things you don't know how it's made. It's sausage, laws, and reality TV. And I know a little bit about how reality TV is made, and it just is like dis I'm just I'm disillusioned. So, like, to all of you people that are like locked in on a new bombshell has entered the villa, good for you, love that for you. It's not for me. So, today uh we are gonna be talking about the year 2012. What was happening in 2012? God who only knows. I was graduating high school, which is why we are talking about it today, because it was like an important year in my life, but also it was my senior year of high school, and so we are gonna be talking about my favorite pop culture moments from 2012 and what their high school superlative would be if they were, because that's what was going on with me. It was the year that everybody thought the world was gonna end. I don't remember it was like the Mayan calendar or the Incan calendar or some sort of ancient civilization calendar that said that the world was ending, I think it was December 21st of 2012 because it was like a um a palindrome. Is that what it is when it's front to when it's the same thing, front to back? A palindrome? I'm speaking to the producers here. I don't know, it's way over my head. I think it's a palindrome. Anyway, the world was supposed to end. It was also 2012. Instagram was like the hot new thing to all the Gen Z listening. There was an era before Instagram existed. Snapchat was like, I think, just like trickling onto the scene. We were just getting iPhones. I was, I think 2012 was the first year that I had an iPhone. It was maybe like the iPhone 4. It still had a headphone jack, uh, just to set the scene for everybody. That's what was going on. Uh, I'm sure there's also plenty of um, I'm like a late-stage millennial. I feel like across over. I was born in, so if I was graduating in 2012 for everybody listening, I was born in 1993, and that to me is cusp because we had cusp between millennial and Gen Z because we didn't grow up with social, like and I have social media my whole life. We were the MySpace into the Facebook era, so like I had all those things in well, MySpace wasn't a thing anymore. Um, shout out to all my uh OG MySpace people in in the group. You guys know who you are. You were out doing HTML coding to put a wallpaper on your MySpace and regularly selecting your top eight friends, which is probably why we all have a lot of trauma as adults. No problem at all. I but we had like Facebook and Twitter. This was back when you used to used to text to tweet. You would like text a number to send a tweet to your account, which like again, insane. I don't know what we were doing back then. I'm sure that I have some old tweets that are just absurd. Anyway, to bring us all the way back around, we are talking about um my favorite pop culture moments. So this is like music, this is movies, this is TV, this is memes, this is like anything that you can think of. Um, and also to remind everybody that like all these things and all of these trends come back around. They've happened before, they will happen again. So we're gonna kick it off. My best all-around for 2012 is the song Callie Call Me Maybe, accompanied by two things. One was like a viral video of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez back when they were dating, and a bunch of other famous friends that they made like lip syncing to the video. This was TikTok, viral TikTok before it was TikTok again for the Gen Z in the chat. And then there was another one, and I wish that I remembered this. I should have looked it up before doing this, where it was like a dance, and I'm gonna do this, and there's gonna be people who remember this, and it was like this like punch punch dance thing. It was like the most basic dance of all time, but every time the Call Me Maybe came on, it was like again, it was TikTok dances before TikTok dances, where it wasn't like a line dance, a la, like you know, the cupid shuffle or the electric slide, but it was like just this like silly dance. I feel like there was like a baseball players or something doing it. That's my best all around. That song still comes on, it's still relevant, everybody still knows it. I still hear it going out sometimes, it still plays at weddings, it is still relevant, which is why best all around. And Kyle Ari Jobson. I would say she's a national treasure, but I do believe that she's Canadian, so I don't think that we can claim her, but she is an inch we'll call her an international treasure, and she's made some great music since then. I mean, it's unfortunate. This is um, she kind of got hit by the Rebecca Black uh situation where she made a song that everyone both loved and hated to start and then kind of tried to like revamp from there. That's best all around, call me maybe, and all associated media. Best dressed. I'm gonna, there's a particular crowd of people that I'm gonna unlock something for. It's the Angelina Jolie leg slit out of the dress thing. Um you probably can't see my legs. We don't have me framed to see my legs, but it's her doing the thing on the red carpet. She's got like a real high slit dress, and she just like sticks the one leg out. And part of the like this best dress, because obviously she's on the red carpet, whatever. But people still do this, and people still reference this as the like, oh, do the do the Angelina Jolie leg thing, like do the whatever. They're like, stick the leg out of the side slit of the dress. People still do this, and people still reference this like it's this thing. That was 2012 was 14 years ago, and it still is kind of like it was a big moment. Everyone was like, oh my gosh, she's she's showing upper thigh. What are we gonna do? Crash, crash the media. Um, that is still like so deeply I feel relevant to today. I feel like people still talk about it, and that became like a uh its own kind of like trend fashion moment, the like super high slit dress that was kind of I don't say she made it, but kind of architected by her. Um, best dressed. Next is best laugh. When we put this up, I'm we're gonna have to put this up with the meme attached. It's the Ermagurd meme. Okay, you guys didn't couldn't hear it, but but the team in the background just laughed when I said the words Ermagerd because it is the best laugh. It still makes me laugh. Every once in a while, someone will still will still say it. I also think it's funny now there's so many things that are in this that I feel like people say and don't even know where they come from, which is kind of how culture like coalesces, like how it kind of comes down the the pipeline. The Irma Gerd thing, people I still hear it in group chats. People don't use the meme as much anymore, but I every once in a while, not even every once in a while, like with some sort of frequency, people still say Irma Gerd, and you have to you have to do it in that voice. You can't just say Ermagerd, you have to do the little Ermagerd. It just it it never on a first go, it's never not gonna make you laugh. It's never not gonna hit. It still works, still drop it in the group chat, still hit the meme every once in a while. It just it goes hard. Um, that's best laugh. Most involved most involved. I can't even believe I'm about to bring this up. Once again, for the people that were alive during this time frame and that were particularly like heavily on social media during this time frame, I'm gonna unlock something for you. I'm so sorry. And most involved is going to Kony 2012. If you were not if you were not bullied by at least one person to change your Facebook profile picture to the Kony 2012 picture, and then you didn't donate to it, I you are living in a bubble, we would not have known each other. I don't know what's going on with you and where you were, but I cannot express to everybody how pervasive this whole entire thing is, and also to the point of I don't to this day still have no idea what it was about. I have no clue. I it was some sort of like philanthropy raising money situation. I'm definitely episode one, I'm getting canceled on this whole entire thing. People are gonna be like, you're talking about stuff that you don't even know about. That's crazy. Um I have no idea, but it was like it was everywhere, and again, it's another thing that like every once in a while when you're talking about 2012 or you're just like referencing, I don't know, funny things from social media past, this is one of them. Like it I would say once a year someone drops a comedy 2012 joke in a group chat that I'm in, and it still hits, it still is funny. Um next, most likely to succeed. Again, we're I'm doing these all as high school superlatives because I just think it's funny, and that's what a what a hilarious thing to try to put pop culture into. High school superlatives. Okay, this is again complicated. This is the Hunger Games first movie came out in 2012. But really, what it is is the the phrase I volunteer as tribute. Obviously, the books didn't come out, the books are came out prior to 2012, but the number of times you know this, all of you, that somebody in in a somewhat unrelated context said the phrase I volunteer as tribute, like to do the chores, to like make the dinner reservation, to whatever people again, nothing is ever new. Everyone is still saying I volunteer as tribute, or even better is when someone is volunteered as tribute, they're like, Well, so and so volunteers a tribute. I just we just like reference them and say they are now doing this thing. This it never doesn't work. There's very few scenarios where saying I volunteer as tribute is not applicable. 2012, it's first year, and it wouldn't have hit if it weren't for the movie and if it weren't for Jennifer Lawrence doing it so like crazy. And then kind of an honorable mention from this was everybody doing the like three figures. What district is she? Anyone does she district 12? Hunger Games? Yeah, or no, is she district 12 or 13? I think she's district 12. I dude. Now you now you want to be having me talking about whore cruxes. We can't be talking about horror cruxes today. I think it's district 12. I think she's district 12, and it's the little like kiss the three fingers. That was the other thing people did a lot, which hasn't stayed around as much as i Volunteer's Tribute, but iVolunter as Tribute is still around. Next, best personality again, can't believe some of these things that I'm saying. And doing the research on this was really funny. Just like what an unlock in who were you as a person in 2012 and what was going on in the world. Best personality is going to honey boo-boo. If you don't know who that is, stop what you're doing right now, do nothing else, open up the Google machine and type in the words honey boo-boo. I promise you, if you don't know, you're gonna be shocked by what you see. And then just like enjoy. Like watch some clips. They were drinking go-go juice that we still don't entirely know what it was. It was like labels, I think, on like Red Bull cans, like they were like putting tape labels on. She had her own reality show. Again, we're going back to reality TV. I to put it to it this way, I never watched the show. I think I've maybe have seen one episode in its entirety, and I know exactly who this person is. If I saw her walking down the street, I could like point and be like, you, and people still know who Honey Boo Boo is. I don't think the reruns are on anymore, but if they are, get your bag. I hope you guys are getting those residuals. Um, next, most likely to be internet famous. This is a like a one and situation. It's the pitch perfect movie. First one came out in 2012. Again, I know you're like, that can't possibly be true. It came out more recently. It it's 2012. But really, the big thing is the freaking cups song. And you know exactly what I'm talking about because every single person don't lie to me, don't lie to each other, don't lie to yourself. You went home and you found the right plastic cup. See, you're laughing, Steve. Uh they're laughing in the studio because you found the right plastic cup and you sat there until you got the and you figured it out on those cups. And then, and then, whether you could sing or not, you tried to hit the you try, don't lie to me, don't, don't do it. We all did it, okay. I I think when I was trying to figure this out, I think I was a freshman in college, Kaylin Manning. If you're listening to this, you're getting a shout out, okay? I think we were in her dorm room, the two of us, I believe it was like a late hour, and both of us were like, well, we should we should figure this out, we could do this. And we sat and learned, but like, it was a thing, which I think actually came, if I'm recalling correctly, was another was a video prior to that. Lulu and the lampshades. Does that sound right to you? I'm looking at you like you know, you're 21. Well, how old were you in 2012? Were you? I was six seven and I very much remember the cup song. I was like, Yeah. Okay, I think it was a ri I think it was originally a video, and then there was the uh cub song over Call Your Girlfriend. It was the same, there was just everybody had that cup, the cups thing, okay? Most likely to be internet famous. This was the thing, because it started from I think Anna Kendrick talked about it in an interview. That song is still it like still triggers something in the back of everybody's brain. You know it does. You probably forgot about it because it hasn't been, and that song went like number one platinum, I think, on the radio, which is insane. It's just her playing a song with cups. I think the original video is Lulu and the Lampshades. Someone can fight me in the comments on this one. I'm pretty sure that's what it is. Okay, next, uh, next one. Oh my god, I forgot about this one too. Next one is Class Clown. This is going to. I'm laughing with this person. I think unfortunately at the time everybody was laughing at this person. I'm laughing with this person because I think that she a little bit knows what she's doing. Is the video, it's the original video, and then also the the audio, auto change remix of the woman doing that ain't nobody got time for that. Which was just okay, so to set the scene, I think what had happened was there was some sort of fire in an apartment building, and the news is interviewing a resident from the building, and it is an older black woman. I have no idea what what her age is. They might say it in the original interview, I don't know. An older black woman, and she is explaining the situation to which she became aware of the fire in the building. And one, she's got this amazing, like southern voice that's got like a rasp to it, and you do you know what I'm talking about now? I'm like, you've become aware. There was no response when I first first said Ain't no way gonna talk to that. But I can remember words like, I woke up to get me a cold pop. It smelled like somebody was barbecuing or something. This video, I like so the original video obviously went viral on its own. Then this was the era where we were making like auto-tuned songs out of news videos, also went crazy viral. Early stage, like not early stage, but this is like still like YouTube, and it's kind of infancy, infancy, like not that many people really were on YouTube yet, and people didn't know what going on. But the number of people that something was like annoying you in your life, something was going on. Ain't nobody got time for that because of this woman, she is the one, or like I woke up, I need me a cold pop. Uh come on, I need me a cold pop. I woke up to get me a cold pop, it smelled like somebody was barbecuing or something. I it still it still brings me joy, and I but this is Class Con. I again I think at the time, unfortunately, I do think people were maybe laughing at her and less laughing with her. However, I think this is a person who like if you spend time with them, they've got she's got all sorts of like southern isms that she's using, like, you know, uh what's a what's a good one? She could suck the chrome off of a 77 Chevy or something like that. Her like lips so big she could suck the chrome off of she's got those southern isms that like make you laugh, like kind of unintentionally. She's she knows she's just like getting little bits off here and there. So I think at the time, maybe not the kindest thing. I think people were maybe laughing at her. I think now, in hindsight, I am laughing with her because this person knows she's funny, and I wish that we were in an era that she had gotten like gotten a bag from doing this video because this thing was crazy. Okay, next. Uh, worst case of senioritis. This is a great one for high school superlatives, and this is a really funny one to think about. Worst case of senioritis, Instagram filters. When Instagram first came around, everybody had that sepia ass filter on their photos and thought that they were God's gift to photography. It was the worst selfie you've ever seen. It's lit like you are coming out of hell and then thrown a sepia filter on it with like one of these like the duck kissy face, like with just like the worst filter. And then a caption that's just like I truly live laugh love and not I not ironically live laugh love like earnestly saying live laugh love it needed to go as soon as it happened, it needed to be done as soon as it happened. If you in the year of our Lord 2026 are still putting Instagram filters on your content, we gotta have a chat. Come to my office, send me a DM. We I it's time for an intervention. These needed to go, they had to stop right away. There could be no more. And it was, you know, I a shiver ran down all of your spines when I said sepia. Yeah, I know, I know, don't again quit lying. Okay. Worst case senior, worst case of senior ace. This had to go, it needed to be done. Most changed. This was the year the world was supposed to end, okay? It was people were freaking out. If you were a senior in high school like I was, I wish I remembered what our senior class t-shirt said. Somebody in the comments, someone that I went to high school with, is gonna pull up in these comments and remind me, or somebody who didn't I didn't go to high school with, but went to high school and was graduating in 2012, is gonna pull up in the comments and let me know. It was like a class so great the world had to end something. Okay. We all knew this is like, you know, it was Y2K all over again. Again, nothing is ever new. For those who I don't who don't know, Y2K, it was like in from 1999 into 2000, like the all the technology in the world was gonna fail. I'm probably butchering this, and that's probably not actually what Y2K was, but all the technology was gonna fail, and like the world was just gonna like shut down and we were gonna like be sent back in the dark ages or something. But the world was gonna end, okay? Then we got to 2012. Once again, something about I think it was the Mayan, I think it was the Mayan calendar, and the Mayan calendar that they had made wasn't going past. The world's gonna end. When when the next one is, who's to say? I'm sure it's gonna be some sort of like, you know, sun flare global event. I can't, we can't get into it. This is not the this is not the place for global warming discussion. I'm not a political figure. I'm sure it's gonna come up eventually because all of these things do, and people are gonna be like, where what are your stances? But we're not there yet, okay, everybody. Like just ride this journey with me for a hot second. Okay, most change. Teacher's pet. I'm gonna get they're gonna come for me so, so hard in the comments. Teacher's pet goes to Taylor Swift, goes pop. Swifties with me together. Breathe in through the nose, breathe out through the mouth. You're gonna be okay. This is just the truth. You know that girl, and she is a teach she is a teacher's pet, okay? Just you're it's just put put the fingers down. I don't want the smoke from the Swifties. I really don't. This is just the truth. She dropped red this year, there's some good songs on it. It was her like first year of like really going into pop. This is teacher's pet energy. Everyone being like, you're a massive star, why are you still doing country? Like, she's she has like brown nose, brown nose, the teacher in high school. Like, yes, ma'am, energy. If you don't think so, you're you're just you're la once again, you're lying. Quit lying, okay? Swifties, once again, I don't want the smoke, okay? You all can be honest with yourselves and with me. You know this is true, okay? Teacher's pet, it's alright. Most likely late to class. This is pretty funny. Most likely late to class. This is a a bit on what's going on currently, which is Frank Ocean comes out on Tumblr. First of all, Tumblr. R.I.P. I think they tried to bring her back. She's not what she used to be. Okay. I think there's no I was. I'm not saying I was there for this. I'm not saying this is what was going on in my Tumblr, but I do know there was some NSFW content on Tumblr at the at this time. Uh, and that's all I'm gonna say on the subject. I think Tumblr tried to come back without the NSFW content. I don't think she's doing so great, okay? Frank Ocean dropping a letter like the day before his debut album comes out, coming out on Tumblr. Amazing. But the reason why I'm most likely late to class, Frank Ocean, hear me, hear me now, get back in the studio. It is time for another album. We are 10 years out from the last album. Enough. I know you're like wandering the streets of Japan with an external hard drive in your pocket with all of the music that you've been making in the meantime. I'm sick of it. I've had it. Drop the album. Okay? That's all I'll say on the subject. Most likely late to class was Frank Ocean coming out on Tumblr. Most likely to join a cult. I made this one up because I don't think this is a size school superlative that they give out. It's probably not appropriate. Most likely to join a cult. One Direction Mania. Y'all know exactly what I'm talking about. Okay? Respectfully, a bunch of teenage girls screaming and crying and falling to their knees in front of five British men who were singing in a tenor and just like wearing the tightest jeans you've ever seen with the biggest hair and the biggest hats. It's a cult. I'm sorry. Love and light to everybody. It's just that is the truth, okay? They there are some great songs, okay? And I am currently a Harry Styles fan. Niall, I think you're doing great work. Keep it up. This was crazy. This was kind of okay. Let me put this again, nothing's ever new. We're bringing this back. Let me put this into terms. All of you Yahoos who lost your minds last year when heated rivalry came out. Okay, people doing like heated rivalry, viewing parties in bars, getting all up in these people's business. You all were the people who were One Directioners. I know it. I know it. Because the age, the age range works, okay? You were about the same age, and now you're like, you know, early to mid-30s something, and you know, the you all were writing fan fiction about the One Directioners doing, you know, whatever they were doing that you guys thought they were doing. This is what okay? If we just transferred that power from one group of men, boys, to another group, okay? It's alright. It's gonna be fine, you're gonna survive. Alright, that's my that's my class of 2012 high school superlatives. There are a couple of honorable mentions that didn't that didn't make it. I'm sure that people are gonna have thoughts about these or aren't. Most of my high sch my honorable mentions are memes that I feel like were relevant for a long time and have kind of started to fall out of fashion a little bit more. As well as just some moments that I was like, I yes, this was a big moment, but I can I cuss on this. But I fucking hated them. Carrie just gave me the dirtiest look of all time when I said, Can I cuss on this? Keep that in, keep it in. Um just me yelling at them to do edits. Uh okay, my honorable mentions, number one, gong style. Fine, it was like everywhere. I hated it. It was the worst thing ever. This freaking like ride the pony dance thing is the most obnoxious song of all time. Love that for you guys. Proud of you, happy for you, glad you guys got your TikTok dance in before TikTok was a thing. Don't bring that around me, don't bring that to my house, don't bring that to my desk anymore. I'm done. Next one, Michaela Moroni meme. Knock everybody through the face, we'll have to put it up. It's her on the podium at the Olympics, and she's got this like I'm that was so bad. She got this like sideways, like thing going on that's like, oh man. That's kind of the energy of it. And then even better was she did it. I think they went to the White House and she met then President Barack Obama, and they did the face together. This didn't last super long, which is why it's in honorable mentions, but it was funny at the time. Being hipster, when was the last time that you heard somebody referred to as a hipster or saw somebody that was a hipster or anything? Probably 2012. Maybe a little bit of lingering over into like the early 2010s, but it's it's kind of it's gone, it's dead. 50 Shades of Grey. I will be saying nothing more about this subject, okay? The only thing that I'll say is Fifty Shades of Grey was what's the good comp now? All of you people that are reading um um what's the hockey one? Someone help me. Not heated rivalry. No, the off campus. Yes. 50 Shades of Grey. Okay, now the 50 Shades of Grey army is gonna come in the chat and be like, no, off campus, isn't this? Okay, it's fine, alright? We've entered an era that's a little bit more safe for work. Okay, it's not the BDSM that all of the soccer mommies were reading in 2012. Again, love that for you. It was a lot. There was a lot. Also a special honorable mention. The first soundtrack of the first 50 Shades of Grey movie. Great stuff. Next. Uh, these are just again honorable mentions everybody. Um, Clint Eastwood talking to an empty chair at the RNC. Insane work, insane behavior. Whoever let him do that, I'm sorry to this man. Also a good one. We'll come back to that at a later episode. Um, Pretty Little Liars was ending. Again, I didn't care about this, this wasn't for me, but like Pretty Little Liars was Gossip Girl for people who had never been to New York. Not nice. That was real not nice. It's okay, it's alright, it's fine. Pretty little liars was ending. I no one everybody wanted to know who gossip girl was. No one really cared about who A was in Pretty Little Liars. It's fine, but it was having a big moment. The Grumpy Cat meme, need I say more. The Bad Luck Brian meme. We're gonna have to put this up on the screen when when we do this. I I'll figure it out. I'll do it, it's gonna be fine. But this is him, he's like, okay, just let me reposition myself. Doing a school photo, he's got a sweater vest on. I think he's a ginger, I'm sorry to this man, and he just is like looks, he just it I respectfully, he just looks a little off. He looks a little like maybe not having the best day. I hope he had a glow up, but this was maybe not his era, it's okay. That that stayed around for a while, just like you were in an awkward situation, or somebody said something crazy and you just like dropped that meme in the chat. The last one is the overly attached girlfriend meme. Also crazy, okay. I hope that she's not actually like that in real life. I hope that that was a bit. I really do. I don't know, I've never seen the original thing, I've only ever seen the meme, but the she has crazy eyes. This was the overly attached girlfriend meme was the one before the meme I'm gonna describe it, and you're gonna know, where it's the the couple walking together and the guy looking over his shoulder at the girl walking by. Overly attached girlfriend meme was that before that was that. You see, like we we just what's the phrase? Uh evil never dies, it just reinvents itself. That's what that is. Okay, that is the year 2012. Okay, high school superlatives, a couple of honorable mentions. I absolutely know I missed some things, some of it might have been on purpose. Hop in the chat, let me know. Also, some of it's just personal taste. Some of those things hit me hard and maybe didn't hit everybody else as hard. Okay, one thing we're gonna do to wrap up every episode, um, to like circle this all back around and kind of like bring us back to what's happening in modern day, because we're gonna balance this like nostalgia, porn, with also like what's currently happening. And so one thing we're gonna do every time when it's just me, whenever we have a guest, is what's one thing in pop culture you're loving right now, and what's one thing that you wish would go away. Okay, right now, again, just to bring us back, right now, I'm I love that everybody is obsessed with the World Cup. People who have never watched a lick of soccer in their lives, losing their minds over whether you know Argentina is gonna beat Switzerland. I I'm I'm in. I'm in. I think it's so it's fun, it feels like such a unifying force in the world, even though obviously, you know, countries are hating on each other and playing against each other and yada yada yada. But I love that. I love all of the people showing up to America for the first time and like walking into a Bucky's in the South and being like, why can't I get my petrol here and get an oil change and buy jeans and eat a like three-star meal out of Bucky's? This something is is wrong. Love it. One pop culture thing that I wish would go away. I'm sorry, I'm sorry to this man. Love Island, enough. I can't hear about this show anymore. The only good thing, the only good thing that has come out of Love Island is the phrase, a new bombshell has entered the villa. The rest of it, love and light, enough. Nobody needs, I know, I'm just another man with a podcast screaming into a mic. Nobody cares what I have to say, and that's totally fine. And everybody is gonna be so mad about this because it's the only thing anybody can talk about. I could not care less. It's just like this insane, we film them 24 hours a day, they act like they're lying on camera and then shocked when they're get get caught in a lie. I think it's insane. I think it's it's it's absurd behavior, and everyone's just like so clamoring for whatever that is. However, you I I have this right, right? That it's the new bombshell, a new bombshell has entered the villa is Love Island. Yes. Okay, but it's not the US one, they only say that in the UK one. No, no, no, they say that in the I've never watched an episode, I won't be watching an episode. Don't ask me to watch an episode. I do love the phrase a new bombshell has entered the villa about non-related things. You know what I mean? Like, you just found a new snack at Costco, and you send a photo to a friend with a text that says a new bombshell has entered the villa. I love it. I think that's funny. That I think is a thing that has like pervaded out of this for people who don't even I've never watched the show, and I say that to people. I say a new bombshell has entered the villa. Anyway, cancel me, come for me. I know you're going to, because everybody can't seem to get enough. All anybody wants to talk to me about is Love Island. I it's just not for me. Love that for I support you, I don't support your choices. And that's what I'll say on the subject. Okay. Alright, you guys, that is all we have for this week. Uh thank you so much for hanging out.
