Too many people have been caught up in the moral drift of society. They've started singing the world's tune and they are dancing with the devil. And if they are determined to dance their way into hell, I've got just the soundtrack for them on today's episode of Jurassic Andy's TNT.

Hello and welcome back to Jurassic Andes TNT, the podcast for your heart and your headphones. I've got a good show lined up for you today. I just pray that you'll hear it with the intent that comes from my heart. I do love you. And I and I say these things as a herald. One who who calls out and asks that you would hear the heart of God and respond to it. Because if there's one thing that breaks my heart, it's been watching so many people I know turn away from what they once knew to be true, only to run full speed to over to the world where its disco ball is spinning and the crowds are dancing their way straight to hell. I mean, the people I love, I know, they've gone full Romans one. The sins they once rejected, they've not only embraced, but rather they celebrate in their lives and in the lives of others. It's been hard enough to watch what was once our nation's slow but steady decline turned into a raging locomotive over the last eleven years. But to watch your friends start dancing with the devil, well that that's another thing altogether. By the way, if if the last eleven years sounds rather specific, there's a reason for that, which I'll get to later. When Peter writes his letter to the believers in the churches of Asia Minor, uh Second Peter, he he he includes a word about the last days. Let me give you a paraphrase, uh a Jurassic Andy paraphrase of what he is telling the people there in 2 Peter 3, 3 through 9. Peter says, Okay, in the last days you're going to be surrounded by mockers who are going to make sure you're labeled an uneducated, unloving, judgmental, misogynistic, anti-science bigot who believes in an invisible fairy sky god. Now these mockers follow after their own lusts, and they have earned degrees, master's degrees in sin justification. They'll make everything twisted seem straight and declare every evil thing good. They'll overwhelm you with questions like, I thought you said Jesus was coming back. But Christians have been saying that ever since they started claiming that he rose from the dead. So where is he? The truth is things haven't changed at all since day one, have they? The world just keeps on spinning like it always had. Now apparently these mockers, when they say such things, overlook the fact that God spoke the world into existence and made everything by his own word, and then rearranged everything with a flood, and as surely as that happened, he is going to bring everything to an end with fire. The mockers are not going to enjoy the day of judgment, and the sentence that they undoubtedly will suffer. But listen up, friends, don't forget the Lord doesn't operate according to our rules of time. For the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. He doesn't own any calendars printed by mockers. Now here's what you need to hear and what you need to share with the mockers. The Lord isn't busy with other things or slow footing his promise to return and bring judgment because he's lazy. And certainly not because he doesn't exist. Instead, instead, he's being patient towards unrepentant sinners. Even those who laugh at and doubt his very existence. He doesn't want them to perish, but is giving them time to repent. He's not worried about his reputation be affected being affected by some perceived delay. In his grace and mercy, he's concerned about the eternity of the people that he loves. What Peter was telling his readers was that God may endure a lot of nonsense and outright evil by some, but if so, it's only in order to give them time to see the error of their ways and receive the forgiveness that he offers in Christ. And I love Peter's heart in sharing it. I grew up in the sixties during the Sexual Revolution, which of course coincided with the onset of abortion on demand. The rallying cry for personal fulfillment was if it feels good, do it. As far as the perception of public morality or societal ethics, as a nation we put ourselves on a slippery uh declining slope. Little by little. In the public sphere, things began to shift. Pornographers became celebrities. Radio, television, and movies all began to infuse a greater amount of profanity and sexual content. Political parties became less about varying opinions and moved towards the polarization of their adherents. Televangelists revealed themselves to be disgraceful charlatans. Americans became less religious. The internet became people's preferred way of relating to and hating on one another. And in the background, the pride movement had steadily been gaining acceptance. All of this was a slow but steady decline until we reached 2015. In 2015, Americans decided by way of the Supreme Court to redefine marriage. And once that happened, we fell off a cliff. Marriage wasn't created by man, but by God. And we don't get to reimagine or redefine what God created as a bedrock institution of society. But man is always deciding that he knows better than God. So in our country, we began living out an old joke that was told by Groucho Marx. He used to say, marriage is a wonderful institution, but who wants to live in an institution? Once we redefine a marriage, the descent was no longer slow or steady, but fast and erratic. Isaiah 520 says, Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness, who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Every aberrant movement became emboldened. Gender-affirming surgeries in the United States nearly tripled between 2016, 2019. We became a people like those in the days of the Book of Judges. Every man did what was right in his own eyes. Now listen to me. I've been sharing the same steady message for the last 40 plus years, and that message is this. God loves you. And I don't care what you have done, I only care about what you will do. Will you turn to God or keep dancing with the devil? I'm begging you to stop dancing your way in into hell. Stop laughing off the day that is most assuredly coming. I joined the prophet Ezekiel who wanted everyone to know that God doesn't wish for the wicked to perish in their sin, but would rather that the wicked turn from their evil ways and live. He calls for them to turn back and brokenheartedly wonders why they will choose death instead. I know for some I'm speaking to a brick wall. But Jesus was serious about the consequences of sin. I mean he said, if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off, and if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. Now he was using exaggerative terms to make a point, but he was doing so as a means of communicating the serious nature of our sin and rebellion and the consequences that come with it. Now I'm not naive. I know many of you, some of whom I grew up with, who would stand up and with your shoulders back and you would boldly say that you're proud of your evolution on social matters, and that your drifting away from the church hasn't been an abandonment of spirituality, but only a drifting from the orc from what you know to be organized religion, and that you feel your views now better represent the real Jesus of the Scriptures. Now listen, I really do love you. But just how many lies will you allow yourself to swallow and defend? Jesus did not willingly go through the cruelty of the cross to defend our acceptance and approval of sin. He endured the cross and suffered its penalty so we wouldn't have to. Yet some people won't have it any other way. The fact is, when the world's dance party started and the music started pumping, they didn't want to be near that guy pressed up against the wall, wondering when his ride was gonna show up. They wanted to be out on that dance floor. The night was young and there's a lot of dancing to be done. And as ELO once sang, that's a electric light orchestra for you young ones. They used to sing, Don't bring me down. And since some of you are inevitably choosing to dance along with the world, I've decided to provide you with some dance music. It's the happiest sad song you'll ever hear. Oh, but don't listen to the words too carefully. They just might spoil your dancing mood. And if that happens, you feel free to blame Jurassic Andy. I love ya. And I'll see you next time.
