On Becoming Undeniable: Do So Much You Can't Be Denied
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
There is a version of you the market cannot ignore. This episode is about becoming that person.
Undeniable is not a talent you are born with. It is a byproduct. When you test enough products, show up enough weeks, and put in enough honest reps, the results pile up until no one can argue with them. You do so much that you cannot be denied.
We talk about:
- What undeniable actually means, and why it is a promise, not a personality
- Why volume beats waiting for the perfect move
- How small daily wins compound into results people cannot dismiss
- The mindset that keeps you showing up when it is slow
The takeaway: you do not have to be the smartest person in the room. You have to be the one who did so much that the numbers speak for you.

Become undeniable.
Welcome back to the Modern Builders Network. We are the official Olsons. I'm Brian. And I'm Robin Joy. And this is Coach's Corner.
SPEAKER_01Hey everybody. How's it going, Rob? It's going great. Yeah. I'm having a great life, man. How about you?
SPEAKER_04Same.
SPEAKER_01I love our life.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I do too. We've got a lot of cool things going on right now.
SPEAKER_01Well, what are we going to talk about today, Brian?
SPEAKER_04You know, we've been tossing around this idea of not tossing it around, trying to actually ingrain it in everything that we do. And we thought it'd be worth sharing with those of you who are in build mode right now, which is to do whatever it is that you're doing, do enough of it so that you are undeniable. Because we firmly believe, and have experienced, in fact, that most of your success is going to come from longevity so long as you have consistent activity going on. And if you can make yourself undeniable, I'm gonna I'll say overwhelm the system, but I'm I don't I'm not saying add more hours. We'll get it, we'll unpack this in a minute. How do you become undeniable? You give yourself and the universe no other option but for it to come true.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. You do so much that you cannot be denied.
SPEAKER_04You can't be denied, exactly. So that is like every excuse um in the world that they could come up, but as the other thing we were talking about the other day, you know, your excuse is real.
SPEAKER_01Oh, absolutely. I mean, there are some seriously valid reasons that people get stuck.
SPEAKER_04And so is what's on the other side of it. Yeah. It's just legitimate or not.
SPEAKER_01Everyone's kind of good at any excuse will work. Some of them are are seem bigger than others, some of them seem harder to overcome than others, but what you want is on the other side of that. So those who find a way.
SPEAKER_04So I can't take credit for this. I heard it somewhere else. But this person was saying that when you're at the end of your life and you're being evaluated, or like you're doing your own self-evaluation, or other people are not evaluating you, but saying, Oh, look at John Smith. Sorry, John. John Smith lived this life, whatever, and uh never achieved his life goals.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04But he had a good reason for it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Like you can, oh, but he had an excuse. Like your excuse can work for anything.
SPEAKER_01And we're not saying there aren't really good excuses.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Or obstacles.
SPEAKER_04You can do it in spite of that, though.
SPEAKER_01You can. And if you don't, nobody's gonna look bad on you. Nobody's gonna look down on you. It's you to decide whether you want what that's on the other side of that or not. Not anybody else's. And I mean, who's gonna be who's gonna call somebody out on, you know, some tragedy happened in their life and they couldn't get to where their goals were to be? Nobody's of course not. Yeah. And they did it anyway. That's how I want to be remembered. I want to be the person who there was no reason on paper that she had to do this or that she possibly could do this, but she did it anyway. That's who I want to be.
SPEAKER_04It makes me uh I had this thought and that was escaping me, but basically the ah shoot off to go back to it. Anyway, okay. Uh so here's to be clear, I said, like, you know, no, no, I'm not saying add so much that you become overwhelmed, but maximize the time that you have, right? There's this uh this mantra in the entrepreneurial space that you know you build your life in your nine to five, and you build your dreams in your five to nine.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_04And your five to nine is five to nine in the morning, yep.
SPEAKER_00Five to nine at night.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. And you've got a whole other eight hours. And if you've got kids, I realize that's gonna be even more compressed. Gotcha.
SPEAKER_01So many people have so many other responsibilities. Yeah, we totally get it.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. So it's it's easier for us as empty nesters and if it were easy, everybody would do it. But just because it's easy doesn't mean everyone's gonna do it.
SPEAKER_01It doesn't mean it's achievable for everybody.
SPEAKER_04It doesn't mean it's easy, it means we have the availability, but it does still doesn't mean it's easy, right?
SPEAKER_01Easy to find those hours.
SPEAKER_04Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_01You can name them off all you want. It's not always easy to find those hours, as we well know. But we also have to protect those hours, right? Those hours that we've decided to use, let's say we decided two extra hours a week or something.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01We have to protect those. Yeah. Because busy work, just doing work because for the sake of doing work or you know, having activity doesn't necessarily accomplish anything. So, in my opinion, it should be planned work, it should be the minimal first. Right? Do you want to get into that?
SPEAKER_04You want to I just wanted to just hover on this for just a minute. Like you started to touch on busy work. Yeah. And here's an example. Okay. I needed to fit in 30 minutes of some other activity into my five to nine. And I didn't because I didn't have any more time to give. I'm really I'm really doing like a four to eight, right? I mean, I could get up at three or three thirty.
SPEAKER_01Well, yeah, but then you have to go to bed earlier. But I mean, there's just only so many hours, right?
SPEAKER_04We're not willing to sacrifice sleep. The reality is the five to nine in the evenings is not really five to nine. It's probably five to seven, and then an hour to come decompress and then go to bed. Yeah. Right? Because I'm because we're up at four. I'm up at four. So anyway, it's about being the most productive that you can be in the time that you got. And one of the decisions that I made was, you know what? I'll take 30 minutes out of the rest of what I'm doing in the morning, because for two reasons. Number one, this other thing that I'm adding is just as high, if not a higher priority than anything else.
SPEAKER_01You're gonna tell us what the other thing is?
SPEAKER_04It's my health. Okay. Right? It's taking care of myself physically.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04And um, the other thing is when my time is more compressed, I will be more motivated in the time that I have to get it done.
SPEAKER_01It's true. Because how long does it take to do something?
SPEAKER_04As long as you get it.
SPEAKER_01Exactly as long as you have.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So I want to do it.
SPEAKER_04I remember when I was thinking of that thought.
SPEAKER_01Okay. And that's why I'll forget.
SPEAKER_04Because it was here and it was like leaving, and then I had to make sure we get it. We I heard this other thing, and it came from this uh movie preview that we were watching. Oh, yeah. So again, I can't take credit for this, but it landed so hard with me, which is we were watching the preview for I Am Rocky. Or no, I play Rocky.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, is that what it's called? Yeah, is the making of of the Rocky movie and Sylvester Sallone.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, and Sylvester Sly's got himself a girlfriend, right? I mean uh the guy in the movie, what I can't even remember his character name. Is it oh, it is Sylvester? Rocky. Is it Rocky? Okay, yeah, Rocky. So it's like his real life story, right? Yeah, only he's not really a boxer. Yeah, and um, but he's Sylvester Sallone's not really a boxer, yeah. So he goes, uh he he his girlfriend.
SPEAKER_01Nobody can everybody has to say it that way, right? In the movie, like there are apparently like 100,000 other people just were listening to this and they just went, Adrian!
SPEAKER_04Like he can't uh he wants to act, he wants to write the script, but he can't get it going, right? And so he so Adrian says he was trying to get someone else to write the script, and he wanted to act in it, and nobody would do it. That's what I'm reading into this. I don't know for sure. Anyway, she's like, So here's what you do you write the script and you cast yourself in the best role, the best part. And I give yourself the best part, and I thought about that for a minute, and then I thought about it for a long time after that, and I thought, well, there is no better way to think about your life. Be the hero of your own story. Yeah, you can write your own script, okay? And you can cast yourself as the hero in the hero's role, which is wouldn't you want to do that?
SPEAKER_01Absolutely.
SPEAKER_04Doesn't everyone want to be the hero of their own story?
SPEAKER_01I don't want to be in somebody else's story where they're the hero. I'm on my own story.
SPEAKER_04That's right. And when you're working for somebody else, you're the hero in somebody else's story.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you can't write it. Right?
SPEAKER_04I'm not saying don't have a job. I'm not saying that at all. But yeah.
SPEAKER_01If you don't write it, nobody's going to.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Sorry, you were about to say something too. Like we both had a thought at the same time.
SPEAKER_01Uh okay. So I was gonna say when you're doing that work and you've planned on, let's say you can give yourself two hours three times a week, whatever your plan is, that you're going to put in extra time, that you don't have to work, that you don't have to take care of kids, that you don't have to cook dinner, that you don't have to walk the dog. No, what that you can dedicate to your own business. Number one, make sure that your butt is in that chair during those two hours on time. Be accountable to yourself, right? Number two, make sure that you have a plan for what you're going to accomplish during those two hours and how you're going to do it. Because if you don't have that plan, then what you're doing during that two hours should be making that plan for the next two hour slot.
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_01And of course, I'm making up how many hours you have, but the this is very important. And in the one thing, when you're making that plan, do the minimum first. The very minimum that you can do to get by, get that done first, and then build upon that. So many of us go all these grand things that we're gonna do, and they get a lot of things. We spend six hours at the gym on the first day. This is me, yeah. Yeah. Then all of a sudden we're like, okay, but I didn't get my shipment in. I did all these cool things and I've done all this research and all that, but I didn't get my shipment in. And so it doesn't matter.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So make sure you know what the minimum things are. If you don't and you haven't made that plan, that's what you're doing during your first two hours, your next two hours.
SPEAKER_04So a couple of uh quite a few coaching sessions I pulled from to make some talking points for this. And just to try and put a bow on the point of being more effective with the time you have instead of trying to add more time is two examples that I had. One was a coaching session with someone who's using the modern builder stack. And she we spent the hour confirming that her execution steps were correct. Yes. Okay. And it was time well spent because now we're both sure, she's sure she's doing the right thing. I'm sure that she understands the process, and that her time just got so much more potent.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Right. That when she she's not wondering, she's not doubting, right? She knows she's doing following, yeah. I won't say there's a wrong way to do this, but she's doing it the way that's a good thing.
SPEAKER_01She's got the minimum down, she's got a plan to work the minimum out, and then she knows where to go further.
SPEAKER_04And you have to hit your points, right? You gotta hit this point. Got to do all that as as part of that window of time that you're spending on that.
SPEAKER_01But I'm gonna say it, I've said it a thousand times, I've said it again, as much as you can is not a plan. If you don't know what those points are, exactly, you cannot hit them. That's why you gotta have the plan.
SPEAKER_04That's why we spent the time reviewing it.
SPEAKER_00That's awesome. Yeah. So she felt more much more confident after that, I'm assuming. 100%.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_01Confidence is a big part of it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I feel go ahead.
SPEAKER_01I feel a lot of times when I, you know, I sit down in the morning, it's early in the morning, and I'm like, okay, I gotta be productive today. Be productive is not a plan either.
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_01Okay. I got 30 things that I could be doing, which one's the most important. And when I find myself doing that, I have to remind myself, okay, when I'm feeling like that, the plan is to make a plan. And um, I don't think I'm alone in that. I think a lot of us sit down and go, oh, there are so many things I could be doing.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But I didn't make, I don't have a plan.
SPEAKER_04So well, to that end, you're we're near finishing development of something called FBA fast track. Yes. Which helps you with those details for your first hundred days.
SPEAKER_01It helps you with those details. It walks you through how to make the decisions that you're going to have in front of you so that you've already made the plan. When you sit down, you know exactly what needs to be done, you know exactly what you've decided to do about it, why you've done that. You can have a playbook that you can look at where you've made those decisions.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And then you have a logbook where you can see the progression of those. And this covers your first 100 days of that plan. It doesn't have to be your first 100 days of business, but your first 100 days of that plan, you're building that plan and putting it together. I'm very excited about it. Coming up soon. Stay tuned.
SPEAKER_04I am too. In fact, I don't have one handy, but we could even give you a sneak peek of the cover.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah. Yeah. Coming soon.
SPEAKER_04We'll reveal that. Um, the second example in this particular space about using um your time as potently as possible is another session that I had with someone who was really trying to get his cost of goods dialed in to his seller board so that he knew exactly what to be replenishing.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_04And it's one of those crazy things that if you don't get it right out of the gate and you've already got, you know, 40, 50, 100 ASINs in flight, it's kind of hard to go and catch that up in any automated way. There's like this import-export process that you know you can get and try to use, but I find that just going down my page of inventory and anything that's a zero, I make sure my cogs are in there. And so it's a one-time manual effort. But to get that dull. Yeah, go through it one time. And if you got a VA, have them do that for you.
SPEAKER_01Familiarize you with your book of business.
SPEAKER_04But I agree, you should, yeah. Uh I love to be that level of detail involved, um, at least the first time through. And then every week when you're adding your new test items, whether that's five, seven, ten, fifteen, however many it is, then you're just doing that five, ten times, right? Okay, here's my cost. And if you are, I'll say, look super efficient, you can build your cost into your skew.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_04And then you know when you're looking right at the product, how much was my cost of goods on this? Sure. Right.
SPEAKER_01You're gonna come to a point where you're not able to look at every product.
SPEAKER_04But for sure, yeah.
SPEAKER_01But when you do look, you can see that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04So anyway, again, so that the time that this person was spending replenishing was spent on the most potent things, not the things that waste time that are inefficient.
SPEAKER_01And sometimes, well, how is it you put it? Sometimes we have to slow down to go faster.
SPEAKER_04Yes, slow down to go fast. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Slow down, get it right, then go.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, and then step on the gas.
SPEAKER_01Because if you don't, and I'm writing an article about that right now, if you don't, and you're going fast, especially if you apply a tool that presents to you, you know, much ways to go faster. Ways to go faster, and you don't have that down, you're just gonna go faster in the wrong direction.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And the you'll have uh faster losses, you'll have faster mistakes, you'll have faster returns, you'll have you know, that's not what we want. We want faster what we've decided for our business.
SPEAKER_04That's why I also like to say take your tests more slowly in the beginning. Five, I think, is a good number to go with until you start getting the feedback from Amazon and start evaluating some of your own things so that then you feel more confident when you're scaling up. If you start out sending 20, 25, 30 units, even 15, then and you have a systemic problem, all of a sudden uh everything that you've sent in has a problem.
SPEAKER_01I had a client who told me about that not too long ago. They had used a different system and found out they couldn't use that system anymore. Amazon shut them off.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And it it's just huge because they just went fast with this thing that they could have gone a different way and in the first place, which was advised, but they missed it. And now they've got to go back and fix all of that. So it's confusing. They don't know where everything is. It's it's tough. It can be done though. They're doing fine, they're gonna be fine with it, but everything's overcomable, right? Everything's overcomable. You just have to commit to the overcome, right?
SPEAKER_04All right. Next talk track really here is around the sequence of work. And I've had this come up with many different people who ask about I feel like the data that I'm getting contains errors. And I'm talking specifically from that modern builder stack process, which is doing bulk source matching to your approved ASIN list. I feel like there's an error rate in there. And so I'm not sure whether I should spend time on the front side cleaning that up or on the backside after it's already in my database where it's taking up space.
SPEAKER_03Yep.
SPEAKER_04And so just a real quick recap on this from what I've been trying to sort of amend to my earlier talk tracks, which is in the early days of automation, I was saying, you know what? Just even if you're not approved for it, if you can find a source for it, put it in your database.
SPEAKER_01And then what happened was we your database has limited space.
SPEAKER_04That's what we discovered the uh constraint on databases pretty quickly because all of a sudden I had somebody putting 250, 275,000 leads into a database that the database can support that, but it wasn't designed to update more than a certain number of them. Yeah. Right? Yeah, and we didn't ever know which of that limited number of the 275,000 database were actually being updated.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Um, so then we had to be a little pickier. Okay. So this front side backside thing is this. And this was, I was working with someone who's got a VA, and this is the perfect use case for this. Okay. So I'm gonna just talk you through this process real quick. Okay. Okay. So you find uh you go through the process to find ASINs you're approved for, then you go through the process to match sources to those ASINs, and then you put those matching ASINs with sources into your lead database. Okay. That is that's the process that we follow. And then the the an error rate here is acceptable. I'm gonna say five to 10% error rate in terms of like the mismatches that you're gonna get in those matching ASINs, in my opinion, is acceptable.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Now, what do you do when you're going and then you just do this? This is part of your daily workflow. You're not evaluating your database, you're not doing making a buy list or anything like that on the fly. You're just stuffing your database. Okay, stuff your database. And sometimes that the database, like you already have approved ASINs, but you don't have sources for them. That's another episode in and of itself, but that's a great gap to be filling too after you've kind of done the heavy lifting on like books sourced everything and matched it and all that.
SPEAKER_01Honestly, I'm I'm sorry to interrupt, but I I can't understand a good reason to put an ASIN that doesn't have a source in my in my database. No. I already have Amazon's catalog. Those ASINs exist, yes.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_01I haven't identified anything about those ASINs. If I don't have a source, nothing I've identified about those ASINs matters. So I'm not going to take up space in my database if it doesn't have a source.
SPEAKER_04I would just maybe argue against that for the very reason that our system does that, which is I provide a list of brands, it goes through and finds all the ASINs we're approved for, and then it tells me you need to source these ASINs.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I thought you sourced them first.
SPEAKER_04No. Well, in the modern builder stack way we do because we're connected to our own API in the Amazon account. So it makes it a little easier to do that. Working on a solution for that that can be used more widely than just me and you, but um, for now, that's just the limitation that we have. Okay. We have to provide the ASIN, we have to check for approval, and then that approved list we go get sources for. Okay. Those ones that we get sources for, we put into our database. And then those are the ones that we're combing for opportunity.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_04Okay, but we don't comb those except for once a week. So when you're combing them, you this is going to be your process. Every session that you're sitting down to decide what you're gonna buy, you're gonna end up taking out the trash. And the trash looks like this. Okay, when you sort your database, I suggest sorting it by your three-step check and then um by potential profit high to low. Okay, so you're starting at your best opportunities up front.
SPEAKER_01And you can do this with path profit zones.
SPEAKER_04You can actually do this with premium uh profit zones in the bulk AC and analyzer. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Profit zones. PPZ.
SPEAKER_04I'm telling people just go PPZ, right? PathprofitZones.com. Yeah, PPZ. So with PPZ, then uh with the bulk ACN analyzer, you can upload your list directly from your sourcing book matching tool and paint the pictures for everything.
SPEAKER_01And it's a sort it by the ones that have the highest potential profit. Show me the ones that have three-step check. In the sweet spot of how many sales.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Show me the ones that have this brand or are sourced from this store so that I can work out everything from one store at a time.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I'm getting to the point here. I'm sorry. We keep getting derailed here.
SPEAKER_01I'm getting excited.
SPEAKER_04So with that list, right? And you start going through it from top to bottom. And what happens? You open one up and you go, oh, well, that's not a lead because it's Easter jelly beans and we're in July. Great. Snooze that lead until next January.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Well, that's not a lead, it's a mismatch. It says it's uh uh I got the lead for a one pack, but it's a three pack. Okay, great. You can either do what you can do one of two things. Update the cost on it so you can keep the valid lead with a source, and then it may never show up in your search results again, okay, because it doesn't meet your criteria.
SPEAKER_01Or it may because it may. Yeah. That's why you're keeping it, because it may.
SPEAKER_04Or delete it. Yeah. Okay. Just take out the trash, delete it. Yep. Another option comes up is oh, it's on it comes from a supplier page that says this product no longer exists or this page no longer exists, right? Sometimes a supplier will carry a product and they discontinue it, they don't carry it anymore, and you the link that you have says, Oh, it takes you to a page, you can't get the product. Great. Delete it. Just delete it. But you're only doing that work once a week, right? When you're sitting down to make your buy list. Now, in this case, this person had a VA.
SPEAKER_01And I was like And it's a matter of course with another task that you're already doing.
SPEAKER_04Exactly.
SPEAKER_01It's not a separate task that you have to find time for.
SPEAKER_04But the VA in this case, I was like, do you think that you could go through this and do this? And then everything that was actually a valid, viable lead you can add to, you know, a shopping list? Oh, yeah, I can do that. Great. So then, business owner, your job every whatever day, Friday afternoon, Saturday morning, Thursday night, whatever it is, is to review the shopping list. That's it. That's it. And don't you want that as the business operator, owner operator is to make that's what we're working toward. Be you've got the critical mindset. You understand how the business works. Other people in your business don't necessarily understand that. Now, I know that you're often, we're often wearing all the hats, but like you've said before, wear that hat. Don't put on the the uh employee and the ownership hat, the owner hat at the same time.
SPEAKER_01Right. Those are two different things to do, two different mindsets you have, two different things. Now, let me can if I can just go through something that I I think people get lost on. Let me describe it this way.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01When I'm sourcing every week to find what I'm gonna buy that week, number one, I know what I'm gonna buy for replense already. I don't have to source replens, I know whether they're replen, how much I'm selling them for, how much I'm buying them for, and where I'm buying them, how many I'm buying. I know that about my replense. Step number one. Step number two, and this is where sourcing comes in every week. Replense is not sourcing. You've already sourced that. You have a source. You're looking for new sources for new ACENs. You need new ACENs all the time because some ACEN's gonna turn over and not be good for you anymore. Amazon's gonna pull something from the catalog, Amazon's gonna regate you on something. There's many, many reasons, plus the reason of I'm always looking for something better than what I have. Okay, so you will always be testing. But the sourcing is for the new tests. These are for tests. This is your RD. Where can I find a good source for a good ACIN that I can try to see if it makes my book of business better? So I go and do the process that you just had, but that's for finding test AC. That's not for replens. Replens is a whole system that's already working, hopefully. If it's not, you need to have that working. Sourcing is for new products. We don't make new decisions on replens every week. They are what they are.
SPEAKER_04Correct. Yeah, well, the decision we make on them is whether we are buying more or not. That's the decision we make every week.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And the way to make that decision is have they stopped selling? Yes. Or not. If they keep selling, then keep buying.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_01And you have limits on that and whatever that is. But I just want to make sure it's clear that when we talk about sourcing, we're talking about sourcing new ACEs, new things that might be better. But if they're not, we're going to test them to see if they are or not. And let the test tell us whether to replace something or not.
SPEAKER_04So this is really just an efficiency step that I wanted to get out there so that you know we're trying to make the time that you have as potent as possible. Yeah. Don't spend your time cleaning your database on the front side, like it's a waste of time, because you may never see any of those ASINs again, which is okay. And I realize they're taking up space in your database. But do you really want to spend your time cleaning your database or do you want to spend your time replenishing ASINs?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_01All right, keep going.
SPEAKER_04So I had another session with someone who, again, it was about the modern builder stack, and she was trying to understand the daily, weekly, and quarterly rhythm that we have set up in there to keep your map updated. Okay. And just to be clear, if you haven't heard about it, Modern Builder Stack maps your approvals throughout the Amazon catalog and then tells you all the ACINs that you're approved for in what brands. And then your goal is to go source those ACENs, right? Find matching, reliable suppliers for those ACENs. Whether it's a good deal or not, we don't care. Because that could change at some point in time.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_04So she was just confused. She wanted to make sure that she had the process, her sequence down correctly, so that she was using her time as efficiently as possible. And the way these the processes line is outlined in the modern builder stack is we have a daily rhythm, or what we call my daily driver, which is a seller sweep.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_04Okay. And the seller sweep is uh a bulk store front stock, basically. So S-T-A-L-K, not S T-O-C-K. Um, a bulkstore front stock. So you find an ASIN you're approved for, it has a lot of offers on it. You pull all the ACINs they're selling, you check for approval, you find matching sources, you add the results to your database. Boom. Super simple to do. I do one every morning. It doesn't take that long at all to do that. Now, when I step away to go get coffee, to have coffee with you, and then I go back and let the uh the process finish. So I say it doesn't take very long, but really while I'm going to get a cup of coffee and having a conversation with Robin, the process runs. Okay. Then we got a weekly one. And the weekly one is your brand sweep. So you can source an entire brand, all the ASINs in that brand, and find out which ones you're approved for. And again, the ones that you are approved for, go find matching sources for those. Now, you there are the way that the modern builder stack is laid out, 89 different brand groups of up to 50 brands per group. So you can do a big chunk of 50 brands in one sitting, and it happens pretty quickly. It really does happen pretty quickly. Again, about the same amount of time as the daily. However, you can do three of those a week if you want. It doesn't have to be just once a week. And then finally, we've got our quarterly cadence. And the quarterly is like, okay, here's all do a check.
SPEAKER_01Find out where my approvals have grown over the last quarter now that I wasn't approved for before.
SPEAKER_04Exactly. And that's like, here's all the brands, right? From our trusted sources list, and and find me approved ACEN's in there.
SPEAKER_01That trusted sourcing trusted sources list that you it's 800. More than more than 800 sources that you've put together and ranked according to how well you like them and why you like them better, some better than the others. Yep. This list alone, which comes free with the modern builder stack, I swear you could sell that list for what you're selling the Modern Builder. So I've gotten so much response from that list and how helpful that is. Um, since you brought it up though, tell us where we can get this uh modern builder stack that you keep referencing.
SPEAKER_04So you can go to officialolsons.com slash MBS, modern builder stack.
SPEAKER_01Or you can just go to officialolsons.com. It's right there on the front page.
SPEAKER_04Oh, yeah, you're right. You can just go right to official builder.
SPEAKER_01I think there's a uh banner in the middle or MBS for modern builder stack. And this is where you can find more about it. But man, we've been getting such great feedback on this. People have really been being helped, and it's such a relief for me to be able to help somebody who's like, I can't find anything. I'm yes, I don't know. It's just you've taken that and spelled it out, and the sources are a big part of it. You get a source that's not approved by the brand, and you can get in in big trouble with Amazon.
SPEAKER_04And the cadence here is your moat. Okay, just like you don't go to the gym for six hours when you're your first trip to the gym, right? You don't try and tackle all of these, you know, uh 44, 4,500 brands in one sitting. Yeah, you need to chunk it down. Yeah, and the one of the ways that this helps you be undeniable is that uh you've built the momentum and your consistency is key and your longevity is key.
SPEAKER_01Consistency? Yes, and just keep doing it. Yeah, doing it every day and doing it and doing it so you can't be denied.
SPEAKER_04Yep. Exactly right. Okay. Now, next topic here came from someone who was using multiple on-page calculators. Okay, so they're using path profit zones.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_04Um, but they were also my favorite. Yes, they were also using another um on-page calculator. And then what happened was the numbers between those two were different. And um, this is not unusual, and I just want to call it out. Again, it's part of being more potent. So you're not like, I don't know which one of these to believe, or whatever. Like, which one do I trust? Yeah, make a decision. Spend the time up front to get it correct. Okay. So in both cases, uh, two separate people I was working with during coaching sessions, in both cases, the settings behind the scenes in these two calculators didn't match. So one of them says account for inbound transportation and the other one doesn't. One of them says account for a month of storage and the other one doesn't, right? Or the other one has uh one of them says, here's my cost, my estimated price per pound for shipping, which is different from the estimated price per pound in the other tool. So all these things are going to be different. I will tell you this most of the tools do a good job of reading Keepa to find out the exact like FBA dimensions, um, whether it's greater or what is in there right now.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And it's based on what's in the listing, it's not based on what you have in your hand.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, by the way, like you know, prepare yourself for that. But but so most of the tools they got, they're getting that part right, the FBA fees and the referral fees. Okay.
SPEAKER_01That's true, because those are what they are.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And they come straight from Amazon. But another thing to watch for, and I'm telling you, different on-page calculators do this differently, as does Amazon. Amazon doesn't do an ROA, but how you figure your return on investment, you can do it a couple of different ways. And you need to understand what those ways are, why you're doing it that way, and what that means, not just a number that you're looking for. And in FPF Astrack, we go through that. We have a whole module that goes through that. What's the difference between that and what's the other one? Margin. Well, why do we figure this way at this time and this at this time? What does that mean? You need to understand what these things mean, not just go looking for a number. Because if you go just say, okay, I'll take 40% ROI and you don't understand what ROI is, or you're depending on a tool that's figuring it differently than you do, you're going to come up with mismatches and they those things can add up.
SPEAKER_04Yep. So undeniable sellers, make sure their data is correct. Make sure your data is accurate.
SPEAKER_01Go and make sure you have made the decisions and the tool that you're applying uh supports those same decisions. Yeah. Whether it's an on-page calculator or otherwise. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04The next topic came to me from a coaching client who needs to take a pause. And this is not unusual. And I say need to. Sometimes you're forced to take a pause. And that was exactly what happened in this case. And we had another coaching client earlier this year who was forced to take a pause also. Now, those pauses never finish or they always last longer than you anticipate.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah. Well, especially when you don't know how long they're gonna last.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Every day seems like uh forever. Yeah. Right. And after three weeks, you're like, oh my gosh, I thought it was gonna be three days. Uh-huh. And I'm in this three week, and then this uh first seller's example, it was two months.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Which, man, that that's tough. But guess what? He didn't stop during those two months. And this other person I was talking to this week, she's not stopping.
SPEAKER_01Um In fact, she came to ask you, what can I do during this time?
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_01That will be ready for me when I out of this time.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. So there are things that you can do regardless of w whether you can actually sell product on Amazon or not. You can spin up a new platform. Yes. Exactly. Walmart, eBay, whatnot. Don't do whatnot. I had another horror story from someone else who not. Yeah, I, you know, I'm not saying all whatnot's bad.
SPEAKER_01So yeah.
SPEAKER_04But anyway.
SPEAKER_01That's right. Yeah. I can also tell you success stories about any of those platforms.
SPEAKER_04So anyway, you're sometimes being undeniable includes keeping the pilot light on. Right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Sometimes you can't do everything, but you can just yeah, keep the pilot light on. You got to get just enough gas, keep that pilot light on, full fully you don't ever want to let it go out.
SPEAKER_04It's like baking your fire when you go camping, right? It's a lot harder to get it going.
SPEAKER_01What are some of the things you can do?
SPEAKER_04Well, so I started to say, right, you can spin up a new platform.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_04You can source new product. Source product. Source product is a never-ending journey. So this is something you could do. Pile them up.
SPEAKER_01I mean, how yeah. I talked to somebody who said, Well, I only have 70 that are test worthy ASINs right now. Well, he's testing 20. Okay. Okay. That's pretty good. That's pretty aggressive. So you've got three weeks ahead plus of ASINs that you can test. Like, that's good. Now go get 70 more. Okay, so you've got plenty of time to get more. Don't be upset because you've only got 10 right now. A lot of people that that'll take care of your next two shipments.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Great. Keep going.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But when you do this, you could have a whole bunch pilot.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Well, so what else do you think you could do? This is the time to reorganize your prep room.
unknownYes.
SPEAKER_01Right. And make your plan. Organize your plan. Make sure you know exactly what you're going to do. When you that whatever restriction is lifted, know where you're going to go right that day, that very first day, and how that's going to work. And the more you can work on that, the longer you can work without having to be distracted by am I doing this right? Am I what was my plan again? How do I do this?
SPEAKER_04So anything at the end of this that you'd like to, you know, maybe just throw out there as a summarization of this whole thing, this whole undeniable talk track.
SPEAKER_01I just I think that since I've had my mind toward a clear goal and being undeniable, meaning we have decided whatever comes up, we're going to overcome it. Because that goal is that important to us. And we will just plow through whatever we have to. We might get bloody. We might cry. We might break a bone. But we're going to do it anyway. We're going to people might say, Oh, how could you keep doing that in spite of, you know, that that makes me think of when I had a stroke. You know, you're you're like, I know people would think, how could you do that while she's in the hospital? Well, you do that because I was in the hospital. Like you needed to build a life. That's a whole nother story. But yeah, that's undeniable.
SPEAKER_04One thing I would just add to that last point here, undeniable sellers press pause, they don't quit, right? Keep that pilot light on. One of the other things you can do in there is come up with a plan B and a plan C. Yeah. Because you never know. Like your plan B, your plan A is I get my account going again, whether it's because you got section three or you're on vacation, or you know, that for some whatever it's forcing you to be away from the business. And then you can make these other plans. Like, I'm gonna spin up this other platform, I'm gonna keep sourcing, I'm gonna do, I'm gonna reorganize my prep room, I'm gonna make my plan. Yeah. Okay, make your plan.
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna work on my plan.
SPEAKER_04B and your plan C as well. What happens if your Amazon account doesn't come back? What's your plan B?
SPEAKER_01I think this goes for my two hours that I'm gonna sit down. What is my plan? If I have a plan, I need to have a plan B. What if my internet's out during those two hours? Well, I'm not gonna be able to do what I thought of something else I can do. Do some prep. Do some whatever, whatever it needs to be. There's always prep. There's always prep.
SPEAKER_04And the plan, like here's a use case for this. So making my plan for the gym. Because you know, I don't want to just walk in and decide what machine I'm gonna use or what I'm gonna do on the fly. I need a plan going in. And I need a plan B.
SPEAKER_01I went there.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Um, I need a plan A and I need a plan B, and I need a plan C. And here's the reason: if you're going to the gym and your exercise is bench press and the bench presses are not available, you need a plan B. What is plan B? And maybe plan B is dumbbells. And guess what? All the dumbbells are taken. You need a plan C because you don't, and sometimes that plan B is just come back when the device frees up. But in other cases, you're like, you know what? I don't even want to wait. I'm doing my got my one minute rest in. I need to get going. And here's my next plan. Here's my next my plan B thing that I'm gonna fill in with this. Yeah. And if plan B is gone, then plan C. And gosh, AI is your friend here.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah. AI is my coach, my gym coach too. Brian, do you have a quote for us today?
SPEAKER_04I do. This quote comes to us from Napoleon Hill. Tell me how you use your spare time and how you spend your money, and I will tell you where and what you will be 10 years from now.
SPEAKER_01How you use your spare time and where you spend your money.
SPEAKER_04Yep.
SPEAKER_01That determines who you're going to be 10 years from now or less. Things are moving a lot faster now than they did when Napoleon Hill wrote that.
SPEAKER_04I'd add one thing to that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04And whether you've committed to be undeniable or not.
SPEAKER_01Yes. And what you've committed to. Are you clear on your commitment?
SPEAKER_04Yep. Are you undeniable? Let's go be undeniable. Let's go be undeniable. So, what do you do when you're getting denied on a stinking ASIN that doesn't sell anymore?
SPEAKER_01Oh, we go test more ACIS.
SPEAKER_04We go test more ACINS because we are undeniable.
SPEAKER_01We are undeniable. Thanks, everybody. See you soon.
