We want to hear what you think, so drop your answer in the comments. Until next time, keep it real, keep it unscripted and we'll see you on the next one.

SPEAKER_04

Welcome to Scene C unscripted. I'm Chelsea.

SPEAKER_00

I'm Cody. This is our podcast.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

What do you think about that?

SPEAKER_01

I feel pretty good about it.

SPEAKER_00

I feel good about it. Why do you think we should have done this now in our lives? I have no idea.

SPEAKER_04

On a whim.

SPEAKER_00

We might have advice one of these days for somebody.

SPEAKER_04

I feel like we always have super deep conversations and when we're driving back from Escalant. It's always Escalant. Always.

SPEAKER_00

Well, we always want to we want to go back there sometime. Maybe one day. But not right now. I know you don't want to. I want to so bad. But going and visiting is it's the best.

SPEAKER_04

Visiting is the best.

SPEAKER_00

I think it's because all of our friends are there.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. We have close ties there. We love it there.

SPEAKER_00

It's my favorite. But I fall in love with that place every time I go back.

SPEAKER_04

My job's here. Your job's everywhere.

SPEAKER_00

Well, my job is wherever. My house is here and you guys are here. Yeah. My family's here.

SPEAKER_04

Well, I'm from here. So it's home.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. One day.

SPEAKER_04

That's our why.

SPEAKER_00

Tiny tiny house goals.

SPEAKER_04

Tiny house goals.

SPEAKER_00

I want I want a place to call home there too.

SPEAKER_04

Well, yeah, that was my compromise.

SPEAKER_00

I well I know. But how many years is it gonna take us to get a house there?

SPEAKER_04

Like a full-blown house?

SPEAKER_00

Like no, like a like a tiny just a tiny house. I just want our own place to stay when we go back there.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, five-year plan.

SPEAKER_00

Five years?

SPEAKER_04

I don't I don't think it'll take us five years, but categorize it.

SPEAKER_00

It's in five.

SPEAKER_04

Five year. Five-year plan.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

Tiny house within five years.

SPEAKER_00

Two and a half would be sweet.

SPEAKER_04

I mean, yeah, that would be ideal.

SPEAKER_00

Tucker would be like Clark's age. Four. Yeah. If we built a house there.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

We already have a spot.

SPEAKER_01

I know.

SPEAKER_00

We just need the freaking building, man.

SPEAKER_04

I know.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

It'll happen. It'll happen.

SPEAKER_00

It will.

SPEAKER_04

That's our wives.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_04

When?

SPEAKER_00

Off of whim. We're gonna start this podcast for people.

SPEAKER_04

Relatable content that we can share and hopefully bring smiles and laughter to people, I guess.

SPEAKER_00

I want some good entertainment.

SPEAKER_04

Entertainment, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

With I I think my whole goal with this Entertainment. And like, there's a lot of people that are probably struggling, that are close to our age. That don't have other people to listen to. Because you listen to a podcast and it's like, yeah, they started somewhere, but they're not just everyday normal people like us.

SPEAKER_04

Well, they're already big. Like they're already doing the thing. Yeah. You know? So I feel like granted, we're not experts.

SPEAKER_00

I'm not experts. By any means. We're nothing special.

SPEAKER_04

No. We're probably like the I don't even know what word to even describe us as struggling.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

We're on the struggle bus.

SPEAKER_04

We're on the struggle bus times 10.

SPEAKER_00

Right now.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But I think a lot to do with that is maybe sometimes we don't feel fulfilled in our life.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Like we we get out and we do things.

SPEAKER_04

We're very adventurous. Like we're very adventurous people, I would say, but we're like our kind of adventure is not what like your typical adventure people are.

SPEAKER_00

No. In my opinion. I don't think we do anything extreme. It's just we don't want. Like going to going to town and doing something there is like the last thing that we ever want to do.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, we're not really big, like, granted, I'm a big town person. Well I'm not. Like I want to go shop with my mom.

SPEAKER_00

Well.

SPEAKER_04

But that's different.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like going to shopping is a little bit different.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, that's like what I do with my mom.

SPEAKER_00

I also girls' day. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

But like us as a couple, I feel like we're more of those let's go find a spot and tent camp it in our Toyota and have adult beverages and have deep conversations with our friends. Like that is that's what we do for fun.

SPEAKER_00

I think the best conversations we have is when we're with our friends.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, absolutely.

SPEAKER_00

And then it's when we're with them, we have these deep conversations. We all have these different life advices and these different life goals. They all seem to go back to Escalant for some reason.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But it's also the drives home.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

From hanging out with them is when we have our like probably our deepest conversations.

SPEAKER_04

Absolutely. Because it's a long three and a half hour drive.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It's a tough drive.

SPEAKER_04

It's a tough drive.

SPEAKER_00

I never like to leave.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

That's hard. It's tougher when we got the kids loaded.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. When it's just me and you, that's different. But when we have the kids with us, it's like torture.

SPEAKER_02

Torture.

SPEAKER_04

Nobody, nobody talks about people like couples. They never talk about their kids in the car. I never knew before I had kids how horrible it is to travel with children.

SPEAKER_00

I have to pee.

SPEAKER_04

Constantly.

SPEAKER_00

Every 10 miles, I swear.

SPEAKER_04

But that's how I was.

SPEAKER_00

So I mean I guess it's normal it tracks, but oh I think the drives as a kid that I took weren't that long. Because if it was from it was like 45 minutes. And it would be I would sleep the whole way.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Like that's the drives I remember. But I remember all the like dirt road drives. Like with my old man. I always remembered that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I remember laying my head down on his lap and then I'd pass out. But no, traveling with kids is tough.

SPEAKER_04

It's tough times.

SPEAKER_00

We we're not going on a trip this year because we don't even want to deal with it.

SPEAKER_04

Oh no. The thought of driving.

SPEAKER_00

What's that? Like seven and a half. Two.

SPEAKER_04

It's like seven and a half hours.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

With two kids, with a four-year-old and a two-year-old. I would rather shoot my big toe off.

SPEAKER_00

And that is tough.

SPEAKER_04

That is tough.

SPEAKER_00

Tough. I think it's tough because it's the first time we had a boy, and I thought it would be easier.

SPEAKER_04

Clark was a dream.

SPEAKER_00

Well, it's like.

SPEAKER_04

Really, she was.

SPEAKER_00

Could we You think you can just take take the diaper off, send him out on his own?

SPEAKER_04

No.

SPEAKER_00

No.

SPEAKER_04

No. Did that? Everybody told me Pete in the kitchen.

SPEAKER_00

Every right on the floor.

SPEAKER_04

I flung his shit on the floor in the living room.

SPEAKER_00

Remember?

SPEAKER_04

He pulled his pants off and I was like, oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_00

Well, he was knelt down shitting on the floor. What he didn't realize is he had pants on. So I'm just gonna shit down my leg here real quick. And then mom clean it up.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, exactly. I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

You want to feel humbled? Let your kid shit on the floor. Man. I didn't think it would be that tough.

SPEAKER_04

Everybody, I asked actually several moms. I was like, you have boys. How did you potty train them? Oh, I just took their pants off and told them to go pee outside and they just went.

SPEAKER_00

I asked Kyle I asked Kyle that.

SPEAKER_04

What?

SPEAKER_00

I was like, how how did you do it? How did you train the boy? He's like, I don't know. It just kind of happened.

SPEAKER_04

We're not there yet, apparently.

SPEAKER_00

He pees off the porch a lot. That's what Kyle says.

SPEAKER_04

I would I would willingly open the back door for him.

SPEAKER_00

And go pee. We did that.

SPEAKER_04

He won't.

SPEAKER_00

He peed on the kitchen floor.

SPEAKER_04

Exactly.

SPEAKER_00

Because it was funny.

SPEAKER_04

He thinks it's comical, and then he steps in it and plays in it, and you're like, bruh.

SPEAKER_00

That's your own.

SPEAKER_04

It's disgusting.

SPEAKER_00

That's your piss.

SPEAKER_04

That's a boy for you. He is all boy.

SPEAKER_00

I probably did that. I probably did that.

SPEAKER_04

I don't know. I didn't. I don't remember being potty trained. I think I was like 10 months old.

SPEAKER_00

That's why I'm saying I probably did it. I have no idea, but I pee outside still. A lot.

SPEAKER_04

That's a boy thing. Well, there's just something different about it, I guess.

SPEAKER_00

It's the air, man.

SPEAKER_04

Got that good breeze.

SPEAKER_00

I'm telling you. It's like, oh man. In the morning, sweaty. I look over, neighbors aren't out back. I'm like, this is it. Let's pee.

SPEAKER_04

It's gross.

SPEAKER_00

It is gross.

SPEAKER_04

It's it's me and Mari on our trip this weekend.

SPEAKER_00

How was your trip?

SPEAKER_04

It was great. It was so fun.

SPEAKER_00

Was it relaxing?

SPEAKER_04

Very. We spent again, we went, we got up Saturday morning and we ran into Scipio to get ice because it was we got there and all of our ice melted. So we ran into Scipio and got ice.

SPEAKER_00

It's like 15 miles, wasn't it?

SPEAKER_04

I think it was 14. It only took us like it did not take us very long to get there and back.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I guess part of it's freeway, huh?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I've never taken the exit to Yuba, right?

SPEAKER_04

I the lake is literally like you take the exit and turn right, and you're five minutes from the lake. Oh, yeah, I didn't know. It's literally like right behind.

SPEAKER_00

I thought it was like up against some mountain somewhere.

SPEAKER_04

I don't know, like it is like, I would have never known that was there.

SPEAKER_00

I I've never I've taken that exit with you and the kids.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

unknown

To P.

SPEAKER_00

To pee on the on ramp.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Or off ramp.

SPEAKER_04

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_00

And then got right back on the on ramp.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, so right there you just turn right.

SPEAKER_00

So it happens when you try to shoot this late at night and the kid the kids walked in?

SPEAKER_01

In and out constantly.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, it's not. It's it it is what it is. It is what it is. It is what it is. I I hate that, but I love it at the same time. I say it, but I don't want it to be it is what it is all the time. Well I don't want to just accept that it is what it is all the time. I just want to move past it.

unknown

I know.

SPEAKER_01

Back to my trip.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, back to Yuba.

SPEAKER_04

Yuba. You believe it.

SPEAKER_00

I want to say 310 to Yuma so bad.

SPEAKER_04

It's a good movie.

SPEAKER_00

It is a great one.

SPEAKER_04

So I don't even remember where I was going with that. Oh.

SPEAKER_00

The exit.

SPEAKER_04

The exit. Well, and we were on topic of peeing outside.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

So this little cabin that we were seeing, it's literally it was like a tough shed. And they made it into a room. But there was like no bathroom. Like no bathrooms, no shower, no sink, like nothing. You it was glorified camping for sure.

SPEAKER_00

Glamping. It was glamping. Glamping.

SPEAKER_04

I mean, I honestly probably wouldn't even classify it as glamping because glamping, you got a toilet and a shower.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, probably. I'd never done it. I would rather load up Nat Toyota and go camp.

SPEAKER_04

It was probably easier to do that than where we were staying. Really? It was really nice. Like the the little room was really cute, but like the bathrooms that they had were clear up on the top of the mountain, like up on top of the hill from where we were to drive to go use it. And but so we were just like squatting by the vehicle. And Mari was like throwing a fit. She was like, What if like I'm like, just go like around the side, there's like bushes, you'll be fine. And she's like, But what if they touch me? I'm like, Mari, what happened to you? She's like, I've lived in that city for too long.

SPEAKER_00

There's a bathroom everywhere.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_00

And there, but they're I feel like when I'm in the city, there's not. I almost piss my pants every time I'm in a city.

SPEAKER_04

It's so hard as a woman to pee outside.

SPEAKER_00

That's true.

SPEAKER_04

Because it's like it's just a whole thing. It's just not as easy for women as it is for boys.

SPEAKER_00

Well, boys pee wherever they want and they're not. Yes. Yes.

SPEAKER_04

And it's like spread your legs out hard enough that you don't pee on 'em or splash on them or it's like wet feet. Yeah. It's gross.

SPEAKER_00

Spackle foot. Dirt. Dirt. Dirt clod.

SPEAKER_04

Like, I don't want everybody to know that I just peed.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. It's all over your new shoes.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, splattered all over your jeans. Like, that's great. Love that for me.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, thanks for that.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Peeing.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, yeah. It was a super cute place, but the whole having to like, granted, I'm super used to just walking, roughing it.

SPEAKER_00

Well, we that's what we're doing.

SPEAKER_04

We rough it pretty often.

SPEAKER_00

We do.

SPEAKER_04

So it was pretty normal for me.

SPEAKER_00

We've gotten a lot of adventures this year. Tons of adventures. Like, we still have some in the fall.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, we've still got a few coming up.

SPEAKER_00

We're gonna go it's a two-day overland trip, like a long ways. Clear down Collets.

SPEAKER_04

Is that when we're going to PAL?

SPEAKER_00

We're it's not to PAL, but it's to the rim above PAL.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So we're gonna camp at the very top and we're gonna be looking over the lake.

SPEAKER_04

Is that for Kyler's?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I think that's for Kyle's birthday. It'll be in November sometime.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So we have that. Then the deer hunt.

SPEAKER_04

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But we have a lot going on.

SPEAKER_04

Well, fall gets pretty busy for us just with like hunts.

SPEAKER_00

Well, we both have deer tags this year.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, we do. This is the first deer tag I've had in. This is the first hunt that me and we have we both have a tag. Yes. I usually just tag along. Yes. Which I like because it takes the pressure off of me and I can just enjoy being out and doing the things.

SPEAKER_00

I think it'll be fun though if we find you a buck and you get it out.

SPEAKER_04

Would be ideal.

SPEAKER_00

And we'll have you'll have me to help.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You're not just out there by yourself.

SPEAKER_04

Pack my own deer out. I've never packed anything before.

SPEAKER_00

You packed out uh I did help pack out Squiggly Dan's elk.

SPEAKER_04

Squiggly Dan's elk that one year. That his spike.

SPEAKER_00

I haven't seen Squiggly Dan in a while. Got a bad car wreck.

SPEAKER_04

I didn't know that.

SPEAKER_00

Him and his wife and kids.

SPEAKER_04

Really?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Saw him in uh he was limping like he was an 80.

SPEAKER_04

Oh.

SPEAKER_00

And they're all okay. But yeah, it was like a it was like rollover.

SPEAKER_04

When when was that?

SPEAKER_00

I saw him in Colorado City at B's. And I went up to him and was like, What are you doing? And he was like, I was like, what's going on? He's like, I've been going through physical therapy. Oh wow. He was like banned out of shape.

SPEAKER_02

Wow.

SPEAKER_00

It's a couple years maybe. Maybe not even that. Trying to think. I was I was sp I was splicing. Two years ago, I bet.

SPEAKER_04

Oh. So not like the other day.

SPEAKER_00

No. I do not recall you ever telling me that. This was not last week. Okay.

SPEAKER_04

This was gotcha. Well that sucks.

SPEAKER_00

I want to say it was when we were building Colorado City. So it could have been longer than that. Could have been four years. I don't know.

SPEAKER_04

I don't remember.

SPEAKER_00

Well, if I did, it would have been a hot minute ago.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I probably tuned that one out.

SPEAKER_00

Tuned it out? Is that what you said? Yeah. You just not listened?

SPEAKER_04

Probably.

SPEAKER_00

Imagine. Imagine that.

SPEAKER_04

Weird.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Shocked.

SPEAKER_04

Probably a kid was talking in my ear as you were trying to tell me that at the same time.

SPEAKER_00

A kid on your hip, one in your ear, and a dog jumping on your knees.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. There's a lot going on.

SPEAKER_00

The mutt that cannot be separated.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

How does she survive the work day?

SPEAKER_04

I don't I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

Because you're not here.

SPEAKER_04

She's mauled to death all day by Tucker.

SPEAKER_00

He loves that dog.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, he does.

SPEAKER_00

He's a he loves her a little too much.

SPEAKER_04

A little too hard.

SPEAKER_00

The squeezes around the neck.

SPEAKER_04

I have to tell her tell him to be soft.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

But regularly.

SPEAKER_00

What do you do?

SPEAKER_04

It's good for him.

SPEAKER_00

It's good for the dog.

SPEAKER_04

It's good for both of them.

unknown

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Entertain each other.

SPEAKER_04

Entertain each other. Oh, we chase each other down the hallway.

SPEAKER_00

It's like we're trying to train two dogs to use the bathroom.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, it's it's fun. That's tough. It's fun. It's my favorite.

SPEAKER_00

We still have trouble with Clark sometimes. She hasn't had a single accident, by the way.

SPEAKER_04

Good.

SPEAKER_00

This whole weekend. Not one. She woke me up at like three o'clock before.

SPEAKER_04

Well, you're a little bit of a stickler, and I'm sure you stopped giving her fluids at like 6 p.m.

SPEAKER_00

No. Like 6.05.

SPEAKER_04

Ah. Makes sense.

SPEAKER_00

Well, she also didn't have any diet cokes this weekend.

SPEAKER_04

I wasn't home. We're gonna steal them off the counter.

SPEAKER_00

Well, that and she come packing them out of the pantry, and I'm like, nope. Sorry, no DCs for you.

SPEAKER_04

I don't let her open her own. But if I have one out.

SPEAKER_00

She does it though.

SPEAKER_04

I know. Well, remember when she was cracking them open at 2 a.m.

SPEAKER_00

That's what I'm saying. Guess who got her hooked on them?

SPEAKER_04

What do I say?

SPEAKER_00

That's your fault.

SPEAKER_04

I can't.

SPEAKER_00

I'm blaming you.

SPEAKER_04

I have a problem, I know. I'm the first one to admit it, okay?

SPEAKER_00

I know, but she doesn't have to have that problem.

SPEAKER_04

I probably had that problem at her age.

SPEAKER_00

Because your mom does the same shit.

SPEAKER_04

I know. But so did my grandma. My grandma Colleen, she was a Diet Coke girly, still is.

SPEAKER_00

She sounds Diet Coke.

SPEAKER_04

My grandma Colleen, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Who's the Diet Pepsi person?

SPEAKER_04

My Aunt Lori.

SPEAKER_00

That's who that is.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. My Aunt Lori's a Diet Pepsi girl.

SPEAKER_00

The soda pops.

SPEAKER_04

We're a soda fam. At least my mom's side of the family.

SPEAKER_00

You yeah, you guys definitely have it around.

SPEAKER_04

Like yeah, always.

SPEAKER_00

All the time.

SPEAKER_04

Always. Like if the fridge is doesn't have Diet Coke in it, there's a problem. There's a problem.

SPEAKER_00

I could go without.

SPEAKER_04

I have to do that.

SPEAKER_00

I do like them now.

SPEAKER_04

It's yeah, because they're freaking good.

SPEAKER_00

Because it's sometimes it's the only thing around.

SPEAKER_04

Water or Diet Coke. I mean, pick what you want.

SPEAKER_00

Water.

SPEAKER_04

There are some re lights in the pantry.

SPEAKER_00

I made a jug today.

SPEAKER_04

I saw that.

SPEAKER_00

Put in the fridge. I wanted to make tea and then I was out.

SPEAKER_04

Oh.

SPEAKER_00

And I didn't want to go anywhere.

SPEAKER_04

I have to confess something. I'm pretty positive I threw your tea away when I cleaned out the pantry.

SPEAKER_00

Why did you do that? That's good shit.

SPEAKER_04

There was an abundance. There were like four boxes of like half-opened tea.

SPEAKER_00

You could have left one.

SPEAKER_04

No, I think I just chucked them all.

SPEAKER_00

I know you did. I looked for them.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you threw them all away.

SPEAKER_00

Grandma Janny gave me those.

SPEAKER_04

They were old stale or something.

SPEAKER_00

Tea doesn't go stale. You add water. It's dried leaves already. It's dried leaves.

SPEAKER_04

Well, it's just like loose in there.

SPEAKER_00

Some of the bags rip.

SPEAKER_04

Like loose dried tea bags. That's nobody likes that.

SPEAKER_00

You put it in hot in water. It moistens them back up.

SPEAKER_04

You can't.

SPEAKER_00

I'm telling you. You threw my tea away. Yeah, I did. Okay.

SPEAKER_04

There's nothing safe here when I'm on a tangent. If I'm throwing things away, everything goes.

SPEAKER_00

I'm actually glad when I was setting all this up, you weren't around. Because there's a lot of stuff that was on the desk in here that is in the dumpster.

SPEAKER_04

Grey, I probably won't miss it.

SPEAKER_00

What that would be awesome. Yeah. I'll clean it up.

SPEAKER_04

That's why remember, okay. I don't I'm pretty sure I told you this. But remember when we were living in Escalant in our old house and you had those table mats? Like table set mat. You know what I'm talking about?

SPEAKER_00

I eat at the table.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

I hated those things. They were ugly.

SPEAKER_00

They're table mats.

SPEAKER_04

And when you left for work trash can. I chucked them suckers.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I wondered where they went.

SPEAKER_04

I threw them away.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. I had a system.

SPEAKER_04

I they were ugly. And who uses table mats anymore?

SPEAKER_00

Me.

SPEAKER_04

Why?

SPEAKER_00

Because we always had table mats when I was a kid. We always ate at the table. The kids set the table.

SPEAKER_04

I mean, so did we. I mean, we set the table like that was our job. If like my mom was cooking dinner. Someone had to set the table.

SPEAKER_00

We set the table, carried everything to the table. Well, we had tablecloths.

SPEAKER_04

Heather's a tablecloth girl. She totally is.

SPEAKER_00

You've seen the placemats.

SPEAKER_04

Placemats.

SPEAKER_00

That's what they're called. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

When we sit down at dinner at Heather's, there's She doesn't have table mats on it.

SPEAKER_04

She just puts a tablecloth on the table.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, but we we also had table mats or placemats. Placemats. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

I mean, you didn't.

SPEAKER_00

I guess that's where I got it. I didn't. I didn't just pull that out of my back pocket. Like, oh yeah, got mom place, getting some placemats.

SPEAKER_04

Such a bachelor's pad. It was it was such a bachelor's pad when I moved in there.

SPEAKER_00

It was a party.

SPEAKER_04

Oh. Every weekend. I probably took Friday through Sunday. It was a party house.

SPEAKER_00

I probably took years off my life. But it was fun.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It's still fun.

SPEAKER_04

We're just getting old now.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I just go to bed earlier. So I don't know.

SPEAKER_04

Last weekend. we were like I went to bed pretty early we went to bed pretty early compared to previous years that's what I'm saying previous 24 there was there was no four o'clock in the morning there was no four aamers it was like I think what Friday night we were in bed by it was two it was two and then Saturday night I went to bed it was close to two it was like one one thirty I think by the time I got in bed I had to go give rides yes you did go to give rides yep little sis called me and was like I need a ride proud of him gotcha I was shocked I'm actually a little surprised at that too usually you just bummer ride yeah or they crash on someone's oh yeah like they'll just they're they're those people that just will they're comfortable anywhere they go and I don't know how you get to that point because there is zero way I would ever just be like hey I'm just gonna like crash on your couch is that cool I think I'm that guy no I will crash on your couch like what where does that come from being moved around a lot going to people's houses your sisters were never moved around a lot no going to people's houses just like we're oh we're going over here this weekend to crash on the couch that is just bizarre behavior for me or we would go to we went to grandma Janny's and grandma Margie's or grandma Taylor's sorry we went to grandma Margie's like during the day we didn't go there for dinner and you always just like fell asleep on the couch both places everyone crash grandpa Sam's I slept on the couch there for a long time especially when I stayed there like all summer before we moved to Escalan that's where we stayed I would just stay with with grandpa and Heather and dad would go to grandma Jan Lee's and Papa Louie's house I would too they had their room there. Have you seen your grandpa Sam's house?

SPEAKER_00

Grandpa Sam would just wake a guy up in the morning at six years old and pour you coffee and it was the coolest thing on earth and then we would go feed and you get mad when Clark drinks my coffee or my diet coke your grandpa Sam was doing the same thing the coffee doesn't bother me as much as the Diet Coke. Caffeine it's caffeine but it's Diet Coke it's not coffee I mean I have a Diet Coke in my co every morning.

SPEAKER_04

I know what do you Diet Coke in one hand and my coffee in the other you're like a I can't drink a cup of coffee with a dry mouth like first thing in the morning when you've got like cotton sleepy mouth I can't just be like drinking a cup of coffee.

SPEAKER_00

I'm gonna throw this out here okay if you say water drink water like a whole glass and then have your coffee. No it doesn't hit the same you're an addict for sure absolutely it's fine it's fine pause you need to be in bed right now. So this might be a recurring thing that our our child interruptions yeah a child interruption for our the podcast so we're gonna have to edit that out but that's okay and it's the only time we're gonna have to do it or that we're gonna have to do it. Yeah is gonna probably be late at night on Sunday nights. Yeah but that's okay or Thursday nights honestly we almost decided we were gonna get in bed I felt like right there for a second and then I was like if we're gonna do this we just gotta do it. And you're like let's do it.

SPEAKER_04

Might as well I mean we get in bed and chat anyway what's the difference like True Might as well sit here sit right here and chat.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. I think people can gain something from this I think so yeah I wanna build I want to build okay like I think most of the reason we want to do this is we're creating something together. Yeah instead of you know like you you know you have your TikToks and stuff and I have my social media stuff on my TikTok's nothing special.

SPEAKER_04

You've got a couple hundred dollars on there or something I did was I was looking at my TikTok the other day and I mean no I wouldn't say followers but you have I don't have a ton of followers but I get lots of views on my on a couple of them like on my one of them I have like 584000 views on it. I was like oh that's good that's crazy I think the like short form video though is really it's good it's entertaining as hell I love I it's almost too entertaining oh absolutely I have to catch me scrolling yeah I have to put my phone down and watch myself sometimes like oh yeah I'm watching too much of that or I'm down a rabbit hole and when I'm on it no anyone talking around me I don't even know they're talking I know it drives me freaking crazy I like I'm tuned in I know I can be in the kitchen and you're sitting in the chair and I'm literally yelling at you trying to have a conversation and you're just like nothing.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah I don't I don't want to do that. Yeah that's also what's nice about getting out and doing things. Yeah most of the times when we're out somewhere there's probably not any phone service. No that's great.

SPEAKER_04

That's a that's a complete disconnection honestly like I was talking to Mari about this and me and you talked about it too like one of my big goals in my life now is to be able to find peace in my life because I just it's hard life is hard and it is really heavy sometimes.

SPEAKER_00

I was gonna say life right now seems life right now seems really heavy so to be able to find just a little peace and have that complete full body feeling is kind of hard to come by.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah so like when we go and we are cruising around up on the mountain just the sun's on you and I and I said this to you I have peace right now. That is how I felt on this trip with Mari. I was like I just feel complete content peace I'm just I'm happy to be here I don't have to go anywhere there's nobody climbing on me or talking to me or it's just peace and I crave that feeling all the time because I don't have it on a day-to-day basis.

SPEAKER_00

Well when we both work full time I think I think that's why it hits different. Probably is because like we had all the time in the world before kids before we were really on our career path to do that and we didn't do that. Like we we did it sometimes. Yeah but now we like make the time for it and I think starting this we're making time for each other outside of work outside of play with friends and outside of raising kids. There's not a lot of me and you time. No I think that's why like the best conversations we have is when we're driving and it's just me and you. Yeah doing this is gonna make it to where we're holding each other accountable to creating and doing this together.

SPEAKER_04

Well to have a conversation yeah just to talk not even like forced conversation it's just like sitting down and just chatting. You know like when you were young and you'd sit on the phone for hours. Yes and you just chat with whoever you were talking to for like two to three hours.

SPEAKER_00

On the landline yeah on the landline I loved it yeah wait I we should just have a landline still landlines were badass.

SPEAKER_04

That was I had one in the old house I remember sitting on my kitchen counter because our phone sat on our kitchen counter and I remember sitting on the kitchen counter with like our phone and I would talk to my friends for hours about I don't even know what but I thought that was so cool.

SPEAKER_00

It was the best it was the best we would we would get the landline phone and I want to say it was downstairs or maybe Jesse had his own at one point and for some reason there was a phone jack in his closet and we would run upstairs into his bedroom and plug it in the closet and we would lay in there and just call everybody.

SPEAKER_04

I remember laying in my closet with my next door neighbor she would hang out with me all the time but we would lay in my closet and we would had our we had our phone because it was it wasn't like a like I don't you know like the one with the cords? Yeah it was a landline phone. Yeah but it was like cordless you know oh it had the yeah like yeah yeah and so we'd lay in the in our in my closet and we'd prank call people star 67 heck yeah that was the shit is that what it is star six seven star 67 I think so yeah yeah and it would uh show up as unknown unknown does that still work yes matter of fact my coworker cross street she was she's has this whole thing going on but she had to she star 67 a company because they kept hanging up on her because they had her number on call D and they wouldn't talk to her so she star 67 dumb and she said it worked. So apparently she gets someone new no it was the same it was the same and she was like listen up you need to talk to me yeah holy cow I know I didn't I didn't know if it worked I didn't either I I hadn't heard that term in so long and then she's made a comment to me about it and I was like I forgot that even existed.

SPEAKER_00

I haven't done that in forever I had no reason to tell you no no no well you you grow up and well yeah those things just go away yeah and now our phones and computers and everything are in our pocket. Yeah that's the way it goes I guess either keep up with the times or let it just pass you. I guess I really can't stay content long though uh no you me? No happening I'm not good at it. No I get a lot of ideas. Yeah I feel like I'm a long ways from my goals at all times.

SPEAKER_04

Well it's because you have 10 million goals open like you're like that web browser that you have like 20 browsers open at once and you just bounce in between them all of them all the time and you never can close them.

SPEAKER_00

That's exactly what I'm doing.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah at all the all the time all the time I don't know I have a feeling about this though yeah I don't it's something different something completely out of our I don't even know this is not even our will house but like out of maybe a little out of character for us.

SPEAKER_00

I think it is you know I've thought about this a lot just like in the past week because it was a week ago when we decided we were gonna let's just let's shoot a podcast why not let's just be ourselves everyone sees the good in 30 seconds on our Facebooks and Instagrams but really there's a lot that goes on that's tough. Oh yeah like we're normal people we are normal people struggling with whatever daily life I it's work for you kids after work so there's no break work again then after all that we gotta pay a babysitter to raise our own kids I don't like that it's terrible yeah we did it but we bounced around on bikes as kids it seems different now I my my mom worked when I was young my mom was home for I think it was like I think I was in the third grade when my mom went back to work and I don't really remember before that but like third grade for some reason is just like kind of a sticking point for me.

SPEAKER_04

Right when my mom went back to work and we didn't have a babysitter that was during the school year we didn't have a babysitter. Like we'd we'd get up my mom would get us ready for school we'd get up my mom would get us ready for school and then she'd go to work and she worked in St. George and so we got ourselves to school there was there was a carpool actually so there were three other houses on our street and each house would take a turn and drive everybody to school and then that's how we got to school and then we all would walk home from school and we were only like what five blocks away from our house where school was so it was pretty easy to just walk home yeah and then we didn't have a babysitter.

SPEAKER_00

That's how we just we were just home we had I feel like I had I had multiple babysitters and it I there's also daycare like I went to daycare. Right well you lived in the city right so it was more accessible at that time I don't want to have to do that now that I have my own kids. Well you're kind of germophobe ew it's disgusting it smells weird in there I bet if I I bet if I walked in there and it smelled that way it would bring me right back.

SPEAKER_04

I bet it would gives me the shivers like it freaks me out.

SPEAKER_00

Like the mats on the ground that kids run on that's disgusting that are like kind of sticky. Ew that I know that you're not into it but no that is what I think of when I think of daycare.

SPEAKER_04

I have a hard time sending Clark to to school.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah and sitting cross legged on the floor just cuz I don't know what we were doing I don't know what we were doing but sitting cross legged on the floor. Anyway back to what was I saying a goal I was talking about something and then I totally lost track I ADD I ADD'd the shit out of that this is us.

SPEAKER_04

Well it is pure and simple organic somewhere with that go off on a tangent and then we're like wait what are we talking about?

SPEAKER_00

This is gonna be tough it's gonna be tough to stay on track we're talking about life being heavy yeah and working it's and I don't want to raise the kids through FaceTime right I also like I feel stagnant. I almost feel like I'm not moving anywhere. Yeah I feel like this can create a this is our goal right now. I feel like this is something that is not just a oh I'm gonna do this this weekend and it's gonna be done I feel like we're making time for each other to build something and build something our way because no one's telling us how we should do it. Yeah we're just gonna do it our way I'm excited. I'm excited I'm pretty pumped about it.

SPEAKER_04

I feel good about it. Me too it's been really hard to like not talk about it though. I so because we tell everybody everything we're very open people.

SPEAKER_00

I stayed up till you you went to Yuba yeah I stayed up to like two o'clock in the morning Friday night and I painted this wall and patched all the 4,000 holes from hanging stuff in here and I just felt proud about it.

SPEAKER_04

You should it looks fantastic.

SPEAKER_00

Oh thank you yeah and then two well it's like 1 30 again Saturday night so last night and I sent a video to Valdez of the office and I was like this is the office but I didn't install these oh yeah because I don't want him to know yeah I don't want anybody to know yet I want it to be we're gonna record three episodes before we release anything. So you're gonna be weeks behind when you reach this but yeah I want to tell people so bad. I know I want I want to tell my buddies at work.

SPEAKER_04

I know my buddies at work are we tell everybody well we tell our friends and my my sister I think our I think our friends are like our number one yeah that we tell them everything but that that is our that is our little community we don't have a single friend in this town that is our age no we don't they're all older we're just kind of here doing our thing we're also we're not the church going type no I like I like my cold snacks and I like to tell people what I think whether it's good or bad well yep that's just the way it is I had the neighbor it was a couple weeks ago which neighbor across the street like across the street?

SPEAKER_00

Uh-huh asked like across yeah oh okay asked me if I was going to young men's tonight here a couple weeks ago to have dinner and I was in the driveway I was drinking a beer and I was like uh no I will not be there I'm not I'm not I won't be attending that one I'm not I will not be there oh and I think you was just trying to kind of start a conversation I don't know anything about that well you weren't raised in anything no I wasn't but for some reason it's because I'm here I feel like people think I am I think also people know also your family well I have like four different sets of family though yeah and the ones I was with the most that I register with the most were definitely not no and still aren't no I just heard Clark open a door I heard her too anyway so nothing against that no no but I definitely don't have any friends in the world that's just not the life we live no so it we don't choose that that life no and that's totally fine if you do great if you don't great then that's fine you do you what I d I don't like the pressure of it that's why that's why I disagree disagree so hard about it is because there's a lot of that pressure around here. Oh yeah it's like okay can you just accept me for me instead of instead of just not I think that's why we have such close knit friends is because there's no pressure. No it's just easy going.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah they know who we are we are who we are but that's kind of how me and you are always is like we are who we are and if you don't like it see you later like I really couldn't care less if you liked me or not.

SPEAKER_00

Yes and I'm definitely not I'm pretty easy to get along with oh absolutely but I'm not I wouldn't say I'm best friends with everybody like I have my we have our people we have our people and for some reason around here our people are much older yeah and they're like they're like our parents' age yeah but they're but there are people there are people there are type of people we want to be with yeah so which is good because hanging out with older people you learn things definitely you learn life things and I think that's where a lot of I'm not even saying we make good decisions but I think we're I think we're gonna set ourselves up for some success. Yeah we've made some really good decisions just so far in life I mean we're only I'm third I'm 31 you're 30 we're doing the damn thing we're doing the damn thing yeah we're just living our life the best we can and yeah it's it's a struggle well yeah for I mean I feel like that struggle's probably never gonna stop just because we have big goals I want to raise healthy kids and I want to be there to raise them. Yeah I want to make a ton of memories with you and the kids. It's like I said we I want to I I want the experiences and I want to make the memories and I don't want to be told what I'm doing every single day. If I want to get up in the morning and do what I want to do that would be great.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah so I'm saying I want perfect day okay let's let's talk about that I would love to hear your perfect day so my perfect day like random Tuesday okay I want to wake up naturally naturally okay I don't want to wake up to an alarm clock usually my kids are waking me up but that's a whole different story. Well yeah that's uh I wouldn't even call that your alarm clock though yeah no probably not I just want to wake up naturally roll out of bed be chill get me a cup of coffee have me a dead coke and sit on the couch and watch my kids play in the morning no rush maybe around 9 30 10 o'clock make Some breakfast, have a little snack, and then kids play, go outside and play, go to the park, maybe, or like, uh, we're out of groceries. Let's run to St. George and let's get some groceries, right? Or something. Just like no plan in the world, no obligations, just being chill. That's just like my perfect kind of day. I don't I don't want to have to be somewhere. I don't want to report to somebody. I don't want to have to ask for permission to take my kids to the dentist. I find that extremely asinine. I'm a grown-ass woman and I have to ask for permission to make sure that my kids are getting to a doctor's appointment.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

How ridiculous is that?

SPEAKER_00

It's well, we were all trained for that.

SPEAKER_04

I hate it.

SPEAKER_00

In today's day and age.

SPEAKER_04

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And I mean, really, in even our parents' day and age, we were all trained to work, do as you're told, don't talk out of place, raise your hand for a question.

SPEAKER_04

With that being said, though, I think there's that fine line between being respectful, being a good person, and those are all qualities of that. But in the work atmosphere, that's all we know. That's all we've been told to do.

SPEAKER_00

Well, you you do what you're told to work.

SPEAKER_04

Right. And yes, it's like your parents are teach telling you what to do, but they're not your parents.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Well, we do it because we need a paycheck.

SPEAKER_04

Well, yeah. Money.

SPEAKER_00

Money is yeah, money is a lot of things. Yeah. It's what keeps the roof over the head and the groceries in the fridge and the kids in clothes because they're growing like weeds.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. I just spent a lot of freaking money on school clothes for our four-year-old.

SPEAKER_00

Well, she's outgrown everything.

SPEAKER_04

It's true. She actually really did need new clothes.

SPEAKER_00

Like all of her pants.

SPEAKER_04

I was like, girl, when like when did you grow?

SPEAKER_00

Three inches.

SPEAKER_04

It's like crazy.

SPEAKER_00

She I put a pair of pants on her Friday.

SPEAKER_01

Were they too short?

SPEAKER_00

Like times ten. I was like, those are. Is there a flood coming? Yeah. Those are high waters.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But yeah, she's getting tall.

SPEAKER_04

She's getting so tall.

SPEAKER_00

They grow fast.

SPEAKER_04

They do.

SPEAKER_00

Well, and that, yeah, it's like your I do like your perfect morning though.

SPEAKER_04

I know.

SPEAKER_00

I I want to do that.

SPEAKER_04

That just sounds like a dream, right?

SPEAKER_00

Mine's different, but if we're gonna talk about a perfect morning at the house.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, at the house? Yeah, that would be my perfect morning.

SPEAKER_00

I wouldn't change much anything about that.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I would like to do that too.

SPEAKER_04

Like on Thursday when I took the day off to go to town and run those errands. It was so nice. I like the kids slept in. So I woke up about 8:30, rolled out of bed. I laid there for quite a while. And then got out of bed, made me a cup of coffee, sat in, sat on the recliner. Clark was watching cartoons. We just chatted and then we got we got ready, got the kids ready. Like, no rush. I wasn't stressed. I wasn't like in a hurry to be somewhere. I had all the time of the day to get to where I needed to be. It was just easy. Like that kind of day is just like what I need. Because my normal day, I have to be, I'm usually late because I'm exhausted.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

So I'm always late for work. And it's just rushing all the time. I don't want to be rushed. I hate being rushed. It's like my biggest pet beef in life. It's being rushed.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I don't like to be rushed. I don't like to be rushed at all. I want to, I'd like to do things at my own pace. I also I don't not like work though.

SPEAKER_04

Right.

SPEAKER_00

I I actually like I enjoy having a task to do.

SPEAKER_04

Right.

SPEAKER_00

Because just like you said about my web browsers or whatever the hell you just said.

SPEAKER_04

I've got 20 of them on, right?

SPEAKER_00

I've got 20 web browsers open. Okay. I'm constantly thinking, doing, wanting to build something, create something, make a video about something.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. And you're bouncing between all 20 of them.

SPEAKER_00

And that's all day long. I think that's why sometimes I feel like I'm not moving, is because I don't ever stick with one thing. Yeah. I'm always, oh, I'm gonna go shoot guns this weekend and and just stay fresh and train. But damn what I love to go ride my dirt bike too. Oh, but I also want to just turn the sprinkler on out back so the kids can run around, and me and you can have a beverage on the back porch. I want to do all of those. Next weekend hasn't even been here yet. We're not even done with the work week.

SPEAKER_02

No.

SPEAKER_00

So it's like that's three browsers.

SPEAKER_03

That's just the tip of the iceberg for you.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I have, yeah, I don't know. But I feel like a lot of the things I want to do are goal-oriented in a way to where, oh, maybe if I do a little bit here and a little bit there and a little bit here, it'll get somewhere. And it really It just never does. Well, I I don't gain any ground on one specific thing. Which, with that being said, I am good at a lot of things. I haven't mastered any of them.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

None whatsoever. But that's just who I am, I guess.

SPEAKER_04

You're definitely a go-go-goer and need a task. I don't necessarily need a task, but I like I'm more of a content person for sure. I'm definitely the content person in our relationship.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

You're like always like two feet jumping on into something. And I'm just like, ooh, whoa, whoa, whoa, hold on. Let me test the waters first, a little toe dip here and there. So let me see how things are. And so I feel like I'm more like the reserved, content, let's think about it. And you're like, nah, let's just jump off the deep end and see where it takes us. Wow. And that stresses me out.

SPEAKER_00

It might stress you out, but it can be fun for me.

SPEAKER_04

I'm not having fun when I'm stressed.

SPEAKER_00

I know you're not having fun when you're stressed. I do jump in with both feet.

SPEAKER_01

Absolutely.

SPEAKER_00

That's why when I mentioned the podcast thing, and you were like, yeah, I think we could do that, or we should start that.

SPEAKER_04

But what were my words?

SPEAKER_00

Let me think.

SPEAKER_04

I'm testing it.

SPEAKER_00

Because I'm sure I thought of a lot in between here and there.

SPEAKER_04

I'm pretty sure I said, we can't spend any money.

SPEAKER_00

You did? The whole time I was building the office out, I had that in my mind.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I thought you had like something really serious, but no, you did say that. Hey, I did good.

SPEAKER_04

I mean, you did. You kept it pretty limited on budget. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Paint was like. I don't know. I bought paint.

SPEAKER_04

Paint really, it really doesn't matter. You built a lot of the stuff and used a lot of stuff that we already had.

SPEAKER_00

I bought the chairs, I bought the mic stands.

SPEAKER_04

And these things.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah. Amazon, man.

SPEAKER_04

Amazon.

SPEAKER_00

We talked about the website. We talked about this on Sunday. Last week.

SPEAKER_04

Last weekend, yeah. A week ago today.

SPEAKER_00

And I ordered stuff probably Tuesday.

SPEAKER_03

Oh.

SPEAKER_00

I was not waiting. So when when you say I jump in head first into the deep end, I don't even put my arms out.

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_04

You're just face planning.

SPEAKER_00

I just fucking send it.

SPEAKER_04

Red belly. Nobody cares.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I'm just going in.

SPEAKER_04

I do like that about you in some ways because it pushes me a little bit more, because I'm definitely that person that's gonna be more reserved on that, but it pushes me to step out of my comfort zone, which I think is super important in relationships where it's like one's running and the other one's walking, but you're always encouraging me to run. Well, you know.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I get what you're saying. Yeah, I'm definitely full force ahead.

SPEAKER_04

Always, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But I think that's where we have a good balance.

SPEAKER_04

I think so.

SPEAKER_00

Cause when you you will say something if I get like ahead of myself.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I'm yeah, I'm definitely that like voice of reason or like let's look at the bigger picture, let's bring it back into perspective kind of person, and that is helpful because you're like, okay, let's rein you back in and reevaluate.

SPEAKER_00

It might take multiple people, and it has before, yeah, but no, you're definitely the voice of reason.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And I think that's like I I need that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know. It's a good balance. We might disagree on some things. I'm pretty pretty hard-headed when I have my mind set on something.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. If you think your mindset it is, that's what it is.

SPEAKER_00

No, and I feel like that's that can be a fault. Like it's a yeah, I sometimes I have to check myself, and when it does hit me, it's probably too late, and I already told you, hell no, I'm doing this thing. And then I have to bring it back in and be like, you know what, you're right.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I probably shouldn't have gone full speed ahead at that thing. But what do you do? Not that I try to.

SPEAKER_04

I can't do a single thing about it, so I try to be better. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I can do better. Yeah. I can do better at a lot of things. But we're still just moving through, trying to figure it out.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I think everybody can get learned something from that.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, for sure.

SPEAKER_00

I think part of why we realize that too is we actually talk about it.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, conversation. Wait, conversation hasn't always been our strongest suit.

SPEAKER_00

No, it took time.

SPEAKER_04

It took some time to be able to be comfortable enough to have some good conversations. But I think since we have, I don't know what in the last two years, we've really opened up conversational-wise, and that's helped immensely.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I think when you bring kids into the world, you can't avoid it. You can't avoid the hard conversations. There was there was hard ones from the get-go.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

That like we had some tough times right there at the beginning.

SPEAKER_01

For sure.

SPEAKER_00

It yeah.

SPEAKER_01

For sure.

SPEAKER_00

Times where I'd get in the truck and disappear for a while.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

That was tough.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Like I second guessed everything.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_00

All the time. Like and I, you know, you yeah, you might need to second guess some things, but then you're also my voice reason now looking back. Reel me back in. You know? But yeah, I can be hard-headed. So can you.

SPEAKER_01

I am very hard-headed.

SPEAKER_00

Mm-hmm. That's alright though. We can talk about it.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

We can agree on that that we're hard-headed.

SPEAKER_04

I I mean I'm the first to admit that I am for sure.

SPEAKER_00

Me too. I am too.

SPEAKER_04

I'm not the easiest person to get along with.

SPEAKER_00

You got some RBF too, so.

SPEAKER_04

I got some serious RBF.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's alright.

SPEAKER_04

I'm not an approachable person.

SPEAKER_00

I would approach you.

SPEAKER_04

I know, baby. I'm aware.

SPEAKER_00

I would approach you. If I saw you in a bar. Woo.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

What?

SPEAKER_04

Nothing. I was gonna say, I probably approached you.

SPEAKER_00

You stalked me.

SPEAKER_04

I wouldn't call it stalking.

SPEAKER_00

You ran by my mom's house. 47 times.

SPEAKER_04

That was just to give you a good tease.

SPEAKER_00

Well, it worked.

SPEAKER_04

Well, see, you reeled you right in. Been reeling you in from the get-go, baby.

SPEAKER_00

How many years what, like eight seven plus years now?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. November of 18, we started dating.

SPEAKER_00

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_04

So we that was the first year. We spent Thanksgiving together.

SPEAKER_00

We did.

SPEAKER_04

That was our first Thanksgiving. It was November of 18.

SPEAKER_00

It's been a l feels like a long time, but it doesn't feel like a long time ago.

SPEAKER_04

No. It really hasn't felt very long. It feels like just yesterday.

SPEAKER_00

We've come a long way.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. We're close it's our sixth year anniversary this year.

SPEAKER_00

It is.

SPEAKER_04

Wedding anniversary.

SPEAKER_00

We dated for almost two years before that. Dang.

SPEAKER_04

Crazy.

SPEAKER_00

That's awesome.

SPEAKER_04

I love it.

SPEAKER_00

Good for us.

SPEAKER_04

I know.

SPEAKER_00

Good for us. I don't know. That was a good conversation.

SPEAKER_04

That was a great conversation.

SPEAKER_00

I think we should go to bed.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I thank everybody for watching.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, thank you.

SPEAKER_00

C and C unscripted. This is a little hint of us, and what you're gonna probably get is all these rabbit hole conversations. Hope everybody can get a little bit of advice out of this.

SPEAKER_04

It's us. It's who we are.

SPEAKER_00

That was fun.

SPEAKER_04

It's organic.

SPEAKER_00

After the camera started rolling, I was nervous right now.

SPEAKER_04

I know you were. Once we got rolling though, we were good.

SPEAKER_00

It seems like when I'm by myself, I can record just fine. And then when I get around someone, even if it's you, I get a little nervous.

SPEAKER_04

I thought you did great.

SPEAKER_00

No, thanks, Baba. You did great too.

SPEAKER_04

Thanks.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Catch you on the next one.

SPEAKER_04

See you later.

SPEAKER_00

Bye.
