In Episode 2 of Cocky & Humble, Sean sits down with Bria Salvador to talk about going from “not to hot” and everything it took to get there.
Bria opens up about the awkward phases, heartbreak, grief, therapy, and the experiences that ultimately pushed her toward greater self-love and confidence. Together, Sean and Bria unpack what it really means to have a glow-up and why becoming the best version of yourself goes far beyond appearance.
They also get into dating and relationships, millennial nostalgia, the moments that shaped them growing up, and plenty of unfiltered opinions along the way.
Plus, Sean and Bria share their glow-up tips and tricks and put their opinions to the test with a round of “Hot or Not.”
Here’s to growing up, glowing up, and not peaking in high school.
Welcome to Cocky and Humble Episode Two. Today I'm here with Miss Bria Salvador. She reigns from Chicago. My name is Sean Williams, and I started my name with my podcast because you got to be a little bit cocky and you got to be a little bit humble. I feel like that's how you succeed in life, and that's just the way it should be. I want to start every episode off with learning about my guest and how something that they are cocky about and something that they are humble about. And I'll explain a little bit more. Cocky could be you're confident in something that you're just like, I just own this, I know this. And then your humble could be like something that like maybe humbles you, or that you a lesson learned, or something like that, or you're thankful for.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. You ready for me?
SPEAKER_01You want to go? You want me to go first or you go first?
SPEAKER_02Go you go first. You go first.
SPEAKER_01Should we do a shot of tequila first?
SPEAKER_02So I can warm up.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Sure.
SPEAKER_01Okay. I'm gonna do this. I think every episode. I think it's a new thing I want to do. I just think it's so fun. So here we go. Ready?
SPEAKER_02Cheers.
SPEAKER_01Cheers.
SPEAKER_02So to being cocky.
SPEAKER_01To being cocky and humble. Wow.
SPEAKER_02That tastes good.
SPEAKER_01Actually, it was really good. I'm really bad at alcohol, and that was good.
SPEAKER_02That's great. Perfect.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02All right.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_01You said me or you first.
SPEAKER_02You go first. What are you cocky about? What are you not cocky about?
SPEAKER_01Oh my god. I know. I feel like I feel like I'm gonna uh run out of humble examples as we continue every time.
SPEAKER_02Do you want to start with cocky or humble?
SPEAKER_01I'll start with cocky.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01Cocky. I am cocky about the the brand that I give when it comes to my career and fitness. Like, if you come to me, I know I'm gonna make you hot and sexy. If you listen to me and you do what I say, you will be, I will make you sexy. I just feel like you if you're seeing a personal trainer, you should want your personal trainer to be cocky. Like, you don't want an insecure trainer. Like, what if I went to a doctor and I was like, Oh yeah, so like he's like, Yeah, I think we should cut here. No, motherfucker, you better know we're cutting.
SPEAKER_02That's what we're gonna do. Yeah, we're going to act like you know.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, then I'm out. I need like I need some reviews.
SPEAKER_02I do not I do not want to know if you are not cocky.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So yeah, great. So that's my cocky. My humble is I'm also I'm humbled by it goes to the same idea. I'm humbled by the fact that they're in fitness, there's it's saturated. There's a million, there's a million studios, there's a million gyms, there's a million, you know Instagram accounts. Yeah, there's influencers, there's personal trainers, everything. And I feel so lucky that every gym I've worked for, I have crushed it, and every gym that I've had a huge following, and people relate and come and see me, and private clients. And so I know that all of you, which is how I actually met you, you beautiful soul. How I thought boom!
SPEAKER_02I mean that's not nothing.
SPEAKER_01That's amazing. Um, but it's you know, I feel like you have so many choices, and like you now choose to come see me at 7 15 a.m. on a Saturday. That's my first. That's why I met church. Like it's like I feel very blessed slash humbled by that.
SPEAKER_02That thanks. So thanks for being humbled by my choice. That um I feel like I mean, mine's gonna be work-related.
SPEAKER_00Do it, I love it.
SPEAKER_02I am it is crazy to be an expert at something. I know that I am so good at cutting hair. Yeah, like I kill it every time I can like I taught for a while.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so and you cut men's, women's, both.
SPEAKER_02Both, both, but I specialize in haircutting. Okay, and I trained under incredible people a lot because I kept getting fired from apprenticeships because I have a horrible attitude. Like horrible employee, great haircutter. So I spent so long as an apprentice, like more than the average bear. But that said, I learned from a lot of really great people a little bit, and I just kind of cherry pick and I've really honed that craft in. I'm just for anything. I I think in being an expert is like being able to get out of a corner that you're any corner you're backed into, like being able to problem solve. So that cocky about it all day. And because I'm client-based on the same uh in the same vein as what you're saying, it's like people choose to come and see me. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And like how many hair, how many hair cutters are there that are great out there, but you still talent always rises to the top?
SPEAKER_02And it's so humbling. Like, I have people that I got a girl that um flies in from New Mexico to get her haircut. That's crazy. I'm like, what are you doing now else on this trip? And she's like, This is it. I think I'll see some friends, but like I came here for my haircut, and I'm like, You're gonna make me cry. Is it like that good of a haircut?
SPEAKER_01I was like, No, it is, but like especially for me for girls, because women I feel like I mean, I can't speak for women, but like but I it's like, yeah, but like for me, like for guys, we gotta cut our hair like what every three, four weeks, depending on your hairstyle, whatever. But like for women, like you wear that style longer, and it's just like it's such a big part of like being a woman.
SPEAKER_02It's a sweater you wear every day, yeah. It's true.
SPEAKER_01And all my girlfriends who are hot are like they will they will do anything to go to their hair person.
SPEAKER_02I have I've been doing this for uh I'm 41, we're millennials, yeah. Um and I've been doing this for just about 20 years, which is insane. Insane. It's disgusting. But I'm like, you know, I I worked really hard and I made minimum wage for a long time, and I am so good at it, and I'm so grateful that it found me, because I don't we'll get into it, but like there's no reason that I should be where I'm at right now at all. Like just the opportunities I've been given in like the and I'm just a hairstylist, you know, like but it's so but it's so it's it's we need you in life, like we need hairstylists. Well, I but part of why I got into it.
SPEAKER_01Maybe I'll be walking around like looking looking goofy, yeah, it's not cute.
SPEAKER_02Part of why I got into it and it's tangent, but like part of why I got into it is like I was this what was it like 2000 it was two okay, so I was working at hair salon in Evanston because my roommate at the time was sleeping with some girl and she was like, We just fired our receptionist, we need one. I was like, Cool, I just quit my pizza place job, like I don't know what I'm doing. My rent's $300. How am I gonna make it? So I was like, Yeah, I'll be a receptionist in Evanston from Logan Square, which is like insane commute, but I did it. And so then, you know, recession hit, and I'm like, they're chilling, like they're busy still. Yeah, and like everyone still needs a haircut, everyone still needs a haircut, and also like their job's way more fun than mine. Like I just take people's money and say no to them, and they get to like hang out and like play with hair and be like friends, and I was like, I'm going to hair school. So I went to hair school. Um and it's like I felt like I don't I didn't want to not do it, but I'm like, I'm Italian and I'm from a south side, and I didn't want to like it's like a self-fulfilling prophecy. Like, of course you're an hairstylist, like what else would you be? I'm like, I don't know, I just want to channel Marissa Tomei. I'm like I'm an out-of-work hairdresser.
SPEAKER_01But I feel like it fits you so well. Like, I don't know. I think I was built for this. Yes, like I mean, I uh fitness fell on. I mean, I've never had like a corporate job. Like I was I was an athlete. I was trained, you know, out of college, I was trying to make an Olympic team. Yeah, former hurdles. Hurdles, and then from there, like, you know, I had a private sponsorship, and then I from there I went on to like I cut I was part-time in fitness just to make extra money during like my training, and then fitness kind of fell on my lap and my phone exploded. Like, I can't even imagine for me like doing a desk job, it's just not my personality. Like, as much as I like a day will be super draining and it's so much energy output, I feel so thankful that I get to do this and you're moving, yeah, and I get to like uplift people and and help people and help them physically and mentally, and I also get to scream at people on a microphone. I love screaming.
SPEAKER_02Which I love being screamed at.
SPEAKER_01Oh totally. I don't want to answer phones, I don't want to check you in, I want to scream at you.
SPEAKER_02And I love it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Do you want to talk about how we met a little bit? Should we talk about it?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you say.
SPEAKER_02Well, okay, I'll tell my experience. I go to this gym that he works at, and it's out of my budget. But I'm like, whatever, I'll do it. And we're we were looking for a replacement. We were going to core power on Saturday mornings. There's three of us that come in together, yeah, the crew. Yeah. And we were looking for a replacement for that because core power fucking sucks. I don't know if you have to whatever, core power fucking sucks. So we're like I don't work there, so it sucks. So we're like, all right, this like weight training class happens on like Saturday mornings and we roll up and we're whatever.
SPEAKER_01And he But like you're just not a seven, I I cannot believe you come at 715. You are not a 715 year old to me.
SPEAKER_02I live this life. I have a kid, I have a four and a half year old, so I like I live this life. I forget that, but like you are so fucking abrasive in a way that like really works for me, or you're like, I'm not for everybody, and I was like, bitch, neither am I. And then like so, and I was just like, I love this guy. He needs to tell me how much time is left because he's yapping too much, which I understand. And that's how I felt, but I I had the best time like right out the gates.
SPEAKER_01I'm a yapper, and I like just I distract you, but then so you would be I'd be in there and I'd be like walking around all of a sudden here, how much time? And I'd be like, Who the fuck is this person screaming things out at me?
SPEAKER_02It's me.
SPEAKER_01And I said on the mic, I go, I have never had somebody ask me that.
SPEAKER_02And now you have like because what are you even talking about? Like, I don't know, it doesn't it was Tiger Woods, it was Tiger Woods. You were talking about Tiger Woods, like he is cheating on like what uh for with a hundred different women or like and why does he not have a driver?
SPEAKER_01And why is he still joining me?
SPEAKER_02Yes, for the fifth time, for the fifth time, and I'm like, and I'm like to me, I'm like dumbest rich per dumbest rich person. Full disclosure, my dad is a world-class DUI enthusiast. Like he he trophy, so I'm like, whatever, it's like Tuesday in the fucking West suburbs. Like, what are we talking about? But yes, I gave you shit, and you like I I just remember you like and I was like and then I was like, I like her, and then and then you'd always leave right after class, and I was like, I know, but and you'd say that.
SPEAKER_01So then I was like, this woman is either and you'd say that I've got to go to work, and I was like, she's either in hospital or she's a prostitute, like she's either coming from work or she's going.
SPEAKER_02You told me that you're like, Yeah, this bitch and like tattoos and like whatever.
SPEAKER_01You come in in your one piece and you're big. I'm like, okay, she could be.
SPEAKER_02And I'm like, yeah, hairstylists are just wholesome prostitutes. Yeah, I see the connectivity. Yeah. So yeah, so that's how we met, and it was great. And so for like I being in a client-based business, I'm like, I'm grateful that it humbles you that we choose to be there because hairstylists aren't mourning people, but now I am because they have a kid.
SPEAKER_01I'm not even a morning person. I can't believe it like I'm I literally, if I don't sit, if I don't send an alarm, I'll seek to 11.
SPEAKER_02That's wild.
SPEAKER_01It's waking up for my job is like every day is like, oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_02Really?
SPEAKER_01So painful.
SPEAKER_02It's so I'm an early riser now.
SPEAKER_01Tough. Okay. Um so the idea behind our episode is from not to hot. So how I can relate much to when being younger and just being, I felt like I was a kind of like when I was super young, I was very feminine, actually. I I did the opposite. I think a lot like a lot of men like who are gay, like will like be masculine and they come out and then they get gayer. I was the opposite. I was like a girl when I was young, like I was very feminine, and then I had like longer hair, and I was people always like, oh, is this your daughter to my mom?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, it's Shauna. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01And then as I got into sports, and then I just like I started dating girls, like I just like started. I don't know, I like wanted to be. I then I was like, Well, I love being a man now. I don't like acting like a girl. No, and then I came out and I like it only kept going that way. So like I have the I had the opposite kind of what most people love men so much, I want to be like them now.
SPEAKER_02The what I love men so much, I just want to be like them now.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. But it's like for me, I was definitely like when I was young, young elementary school, I was still I was cool with all the girls, but like all the guys were like, This this guy is like he's getting all the girls, but he's we don't understand him.
SPEAKER_02Did you did people know that you were gay?
SPEAKER_01Like, did Oh, when I when I came out to my parents, I were like, Well, when you were younger, we had a feeling, but then you like turned into a you turned into a boy, like you started dating girls, like you got masculine.
SPEAKER_02Did you uh get did you get made fun of in did you get made fun of before you came out?
SPEAKER_01No, I mean like not no high school and in college, no, because then I became a jock and I was like cool and I still goofy looking, but cute.
SPEAKER_02You were goofy looking?
SPEAKER_01I mean, just like you, I mean I compare I think I look better now than I did then. Like, I feel like we just think like that's what this fucking episode's about. Well no, but like I don't know. Like, I see. I mean, I was like fit, I was no, but I don't know. Like, but then when I was like, I feel like my really goofy phases were elementary. I mean, I literally had like a bowl cut mullet.
SPEAKER_02What? Yeah, I was bad. I have a composite of every here, we'll do it like this. It's probably about this big, and it's my every like um uh grade school photo before the retakes. And like this girl is going through some shit. Yeah, definitely. We'll put it, we'll put it here.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and then but I like literally my mom would come my mom. My mom would have to come to the bus stop because I was like little too and to to like tell people to leave me alone. My mom would always fight fight, fight for me.
SPEAKER_02Dude, there's this kid I can't.
SPEAKER_01And she'd be like, she'd literally be like, leave my son alone.
SPEAKER_02And the kids would be like, there's this kid at my kids' school. He's almost five, he's in summer camp. I'm not gonna tell say his name, but if he ever watches this, he'll know who he is. This kid came up to he gives my kid comes home all the it breaks my heart. He's like, nobody like wants to play with me. And I was like, Who would not want to play with you? You're so cool. He's exaggerating a little bit. I was like, Oh, that's my kid. So this there's this anytime he's telling a story, there is this he names this one kid and I'm like, I'm gonna tell him I'm gonna beat his dad up. Don't tell him that but tell him something like that. Anyway, once I finally this kid comes up to us in a drop off, and he's like, he's like, I'm like, this is my time to shine. I was like, come on, bring it. What are you gonna say to me? And he's like, I um I have hi, I have a toy, and I'm like, are you gonna share it? And he goes, No. And I'm like, then why are you burdening us with this information? And he's just like, oh my god, I'm battling a child right now. I'm like, stop, stop, stop, stop. And I was like, Well, yeah, but you're also mama bear. Well, because don't mess with my kid, because I hear about you all the time. Don't mess with my kid. I that's the the truest love. You ever see that clip of Denzel Washington where he's like, the greatest, oh my god, you're gonna cry. The greatest love. Sorry, the greatest love. It the the the truest love. I can't I don't know what the quote is, but exactly what he's like, the truest love there ever was is like between a mother and her first son. And I'm like it's not, it's not unreal. Like, I my son was my eye too. I was around like my son was born, and I was like, Oh, I don't God bless my ex-husband, but I'm like, all right, I I got what I needed out of you. Like, thank you. Like, I got I got like my son, my son. How do we get your my son? Yeah, my son.
SPEAKER_01That's my mom. I feel like that's how my mom told me that. With like she when she had me, she's like, My marriage became about you, not about, and she just was like, I want all my attention and energy into you. And then her and my dad like went to like Hawaii, and she was like, My son's not here, and I'm here with you, and I don't want you. And she's like, No, I want a divorce. She's like in Hawaii. She's like, I was in the most magical place, didn't want to sleep with my husband. I was like, I want to come home to my son, and she's like, I miss him, I want a divorce.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I don't think this is for me anymore. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01And I think that you and I both, I mean, you and I have both lost our mother. So I think that just I think for you, my mom lost her mom at a young age, so I think that she wanted to give me everything that she felt like she couldn't have. And I think for you, you want to give everything to your son that you know, like on so many levels.
SPEAKER_02My relationship with my mom was complicated, yeah. But like you like complicated on like the kind of negative side. And I tell this story like right before she passed away. That we like patched things up, but I'm like, that's a script I say, but it's still like the ol I wish she was here because the older I get, the more I understand her. And I know it's like a tale as old as time, but it's like I I don't know. I Dead Mom Club is a shitty club. The worst club.
SPEAKER_01Best people, best people, and and mamas are the best. Mamas are the best.
SPEAKER_02They are, they are. My mom was so funny, so funny. I'll show a photo of her too.
SPEAKER_01She's just like one episode is episodes all the time. Um okay, so yeah, so I was, I know, but I love this. I want to go all I want to go all over the place. Um, yeah, I was, were you bullied? Because I was definitely bullied young, and my mom was my my she was she was my protector.
SPEAKER_02That's the tank.
SPEAKER_01I was tiny, I really couldn't like, I was quick, I was fast. I could like, I could like I'd like fight, I'd like say something bad and like run away. Um so I mean I'm only 5'10 now, but like I just wasn't as you're only five ten. I'll tell you I give like six. Five ten and a half. I give like six four.
SPEAKER_02But I say five eleven on the dating apps.
SPEAKER_01Okay. And I'm like like like basketball.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, exactly. Like if I'm like feeling confident and I'm all like nice and stretched on the floor.
SPEAKER_01I mean, you'll have like you'll probably wear shoes that are not flats when you go. So you'll be 5'11, 6'foot.
SPEAKER_02It depends on how cute they are. If they're super cute, I'll wear flats. But if they're like, I'm like, maybe not, I'll wear heels to emasculate.
SPEAKER_01To tower over them.
SPEAKER_02It's you know, love is a battlefield. You don't feel five ten. You feel you give six foot plus. I'm yeah, I'm so like loud and you're emotionally obese. You feel a fucking dude straight up.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, for sure. No, I like okay. So what was your like kind of what was your background and your I got annihilated in grade school.
SPEAKER_02I was lanky. So it was the opposite. I was lanky, we were poor, dirt, poor, dirt, poor, free, like free food from the church, poor.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_02Clothes never match. I remember oh god, this guy, Tim Hooper, who hit me up on Facebook Facebook recently, and I'm like, They always come back. They always fucking come back, dude. But I remember my mom worked at Red Lobster. I feel like I'm like, this is all like made up. This is all very legitimately true. And Red Lobster, you wore a polo, you are either a red, white, or navy polo. And I was like, oh, I'm gonna wear one of hers, her like shirts, because like that's the only like nice clothing we have. And it was like I rolled up, I wore a navy, whatever, I never my clothes never matched. So I had navy shirt and like navy pants, and Tim Hooper was like, Bria's matching, Bria's matching, like finally Bria's matching, and I was like mortified because I was like, this implies that I usually don't match my clothes. And I was like, fuck. I'm like, dude, I'm totally the fucking dork. And I like it, it was it was like because I didn't feel dorky.
SPEAKER_01It was crazy at that age, like the littlest that every like we just we hear something and like you just want to be cool, like be accepted. That's all you want when you're a kid.
SPEAKER_02I like I remember like the clip, and she had like a little this one of the cool girls, and she had like a little like baby tee, and it had like a little embroidered Winnie the Pooh shirt. And I was like, okay, I need a Winnie the Pooh shirt. Yeah, like I need a like I'll be I just need yeah, like if I just get that, then I'll be like this, and I'll if I just get that, and like so it was so like it was so um like embedded in socioeconomic like status.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, as a kid, you see, you're like, oh, that works. I want to do that. Like that's cool, I'm gonna do that. She's he's he's a he his cool. Like I should dress like him, I'll be cool too.
SPEAKER_02100%. Yeah, and so I was I would I just got so it was it became clear that I was not going to get access to like a wardrobe. I did shop oh man, I shoplifted from Hillside Mall. It's now a Carmax, and I stole a pair of um Tommy Hilfiger overalls. You remember them?
SPEAKER_01Yes, overalls were so in. And was the people do the one strap though?
SPEAKER_02I would I've been looking for that. Like I would purchase them again, I would purchase them full price again.
SPEAKER_01But they come back around, they come back around.
SPEAKER_02I wish I kept them, and I would wear that over a Calvin Klein t-shirt that I also shoplifted. It made no sense, like it was not a good outfit, but I was like, I got name brand shit. Like, yeah, but I it was so like tied up with like your clothes and what you were wearing, and like I just could not so anyway, I didn't have like a full wardrobe of like cool shit, so I um got slutty.
SPEAKER_01Like, well, I'll get an attention one way.
SPEAKER_02Well, like somebody like I'm like, well, I put out, so what's up? Oh my gosh, and it it was like okay, so can I keep you up and yeah, I'm gonna go. Okay, we're gonna I got sent to underprivileged kids salvation army camp, okay, right? And it was a sideway.
SPEAKER_00No, insane existed.
SPEAKER_02There's no like I and I I don't even know that we were it was just insane I want to write a book about you. Girl. So then I was like, we show up, my little sister and I show up, and it's like we're the only white girls, like as far as I can see. I'm in one age group, she's in the other age group, and like the next Next morning, after we get out, we get we're like we're in our bunks, and these girls are like surrounding me, and they're like, they're like, I'm gonna touch your hair. And I was like, Okay. And like the girl, like put she's like, You feel like a dog, and I'm like, I like dogs, and she was like, I'm gonna braid it. And I was like, Okay, and like I had like these tiny, tight cornrows like to the ceiling, and I was like, it kind of hurts, and she's like, You're tender headed, and I was like, I think that you're right about that. And the next morning we had to go to the flag to like praying.
SPEAKER_01Like remote talks.
SPEAKER_02Well, I was like, just gotta start your hair diner, and my we what we show up at the um the flag to pray and say the pledge of allegiance, and my sister's got cornroast too, and like the same, she had the exact same experience. So, okay, this is how like at this point, like I'm already like looking for attention. So I have already like we're sitting around a tree, and one of the Christian counselors is like, you know, before I got married to my husband, I'm like, she had to be like 21 at this point or something, like uh in hindsight. And she's like, before I got married to my husband, I, you know, kissed another man and I would and I and I live with the guilt that I'll never be a complete person for my um for my husband. And I was just like, and I'm like doing in my head, I'm like, okay, well, Kyle got a hand job, and like I didn't I I have not given a blowjob, but I almost did one time and I kissed, like, and I'm like counting, I'm like, dude, I'm fucked.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's I'll never be a complete. Not marriage material.
SPEAKER_02I'm not, I'm like, I'll never be a complete person. It had the polar opposite effect. Well, I was like, Well, I'm not complete, so I might as well balls to the wall.
SPEAKER_01Well, yeah, it was and it I'm gonna be as uncomplete as possible now.
SPEAKER_02You ever see Easy A? No, that oh, that movie is so triggering for me because like she gets slut shamed, like it's it's it's around the scarlet letter. Okay, and I was just like that. I did that. I like I lived this, I lived this life. So it was a little like I think I could revisit it now, but when it came out, I was like, uh, I'm not far enough away from this.
SPEAKER_01Wow. Oh wow, sorry. No, I love that. This is I was this is how this is everything I want. I love this. This is like literally I could literally you can write a movie about you. So I'm never gonna unsee the card road.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god. And my ears the botogs, yeah. So I was so self-conscious about it, you see, and they and I like he's he nods. Yeah, I see it. No, your ears are great, but I just love so I was super self-conscious, but my sister like leaned into it. She was just like, that's her.
SPEAKER_01And how far apart were you guys in age?
SPEAKER_02Two years, two and a half years. Yeah.
unknownWow.
SPEAKER_02Maybe I'll show a picture of her someday. I'll show you her someday, and you'll be like, What the fuck? How's God bless yes? My sister.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so then I love it. So that was kind of your life as like a teenager. Like, did it get better as you got more to junior high high school? Did you get feel more like you felt like you felt cooler? Did you feel, or did you kind of always just feel like a misfit all the way through elementary, junior high, high school?
SPEAKER_02Well, I went from being like a dork slut to being like punk. Like, I think there's like uh, you know, I met I met a couple people who were like, you know, went to like local punk shows and then like I got like a little like punk boyfriend that had like an eyebrow ring.
SPEAKER_01Like I can see that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, like it. I tried, oh my god.
SPEAKER_01I see you with a guy like that.
SPEAKER_02I okay, mad eyes.
SPEAKER_01I see you with like machine gun Kelly.
SPEAKER_02He got it was some 41 time, so people thought he was like they would call him some 41 because he also had like some.
SPEAKER_01Okay, what's like your music crush? I want to see your type here what your type is.
SPEAKER_02Music crush. Yeah, like what's your type? You go first so I can think.
SPEAKER_01I mean, I'm like like the country club, like all American jock.
SPEAKER_02We have to have did you have you talked about how you're a full-blown jock? How you're a gay jock yet?
SPEAKER_01How I'm uh yes. My last episode I talked about how I'm like literally heated rivalry in person.
SPEAKER_02I haven't seen it.
SPEAKER_01Oh, well, it's like just bros being bros that just happen to like bros, just jocks. Like, let's just play, let's just place boards and then let's go home and blow each other bro cuddle and watch and watch football, and that could happen maybe.
SPEAKER_02Um I mean that sounds great for like you can have any kind of interest and be into dicks, as it turns out.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. As anybody, yeah. All this can be, but so yeah, it's very much uh yeah, that's that was kind of like so. My gosh, I mean my biggest crush would be like, I guess somebody like Brock Purdy, who's the quarterback for the 49ers.
SPEAKER_02Current current crush?
SPEAKER_01Uh he's a big current crush, yeah, yeah. He got married really young, like good, wholesome Christian boy, all American.
SPEAKER_02Turn him out. Yeah. What's his name?
SPEAKER_01Brock Purdy.
SPEAKER_02Brock?
SPEAKER_01Brock dude.
SPEAKER_02That's such a jock name. No, Brock Purdy.
SPEAKER_01Brock the jock, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Brock the jock purdy, like P-U-R-Y.
SPEAKER_01But he's actually like Purdy. He's Purdy. Yeah. But like masculine pretty.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Okay, what's yours?
SPEAKER_02Well, my like music crush when I was in like sixth, seventh, eighth grade. Okay, it's Justin Timberlake.
SPEAKER_01Okay, well, it's not what I would have thought.
SPEAKER_02Well, I was trying to assimilate.
SPEAKER_01Okay. And then I had a crush on him too.
SPEAKER_02And who wouldn't?
SPEAKER_01But then and then I get Lance Bass, the one that's gay. I'm like, that's the least attractive one. Well, the fuck.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, kind eyes.
SPEAKER_01I'm like.
SPEAKER_02Okay, but the least approachable.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you know what I mean. Very approachable. He is not intimidated at all.
SPEAKER_02No, no, no, no. That's a great entry point. That's hilarious.
SPEAKER_01I'll never forget when I was in LA. Like the first year I this one girl was like, Hey, do you want to go to this party? And I'm like, it was Lance Bass's house. And then at one point, uh Lindsay Lohan shows up with like her ankle bracelet on, and she's like hanging out with it was such an LA party. It was like very LA because I live in LA for almost 14 years.
SPEAKER_02And what a like what a time when Lindsay Lindsay Lohan ankle bracelet was.
SPEAKER_01I was there for like years, and now she's like reading, like she should be on my episode for from not to hot because she is banging now.
SPEAKER_02She's so hot. Yeah, she's so so hot now. Yeah, she had a she had like a a minute where like what we I mean No, we all have a minute.
SPEAKER_01Everybody, we all have a minute.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you have to recalibrate.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so what? But I want to know I want to know the new cross.
SPEAKER_02I what justice for JC. I just want to I just want to say that like the older I get, the more I'm like JC chasse is the backbone of in sync.
SPEAKER_01Oh, for sure. It was really Justin and JC.
SPEAKER_02It's JC, period. Okay, and like like I get what Justin brought to like, but like JC, his voice is angelic. He's so talented. And that I just wanted to get that out of the way.
SPEAKER_01So now if And he's handsome, but I don't like what he's done, like looks-wise later on life.
SPEAKER_02No, he's exploring something, you know, which is also important.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02But like, you know, I'm not living in the present with him. That's a very like 19 1997.
SPEAKER_01That's your type.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, 1000% at the time. Okay, okay. That's my music crush. And then I didn't I don't have crushes on like punk band guys.
SPEAKER_01I would have I would have thought.
SPEAKER_02I love like a I hope nobody that I've ever been with watches this. I I love firemen.
unknownI love firemen.
SPEAKER_01That's very, very attractive.
SPEAKER_02I always tell and there are a dime a dozen on like the apps.
SPEAKER_01They're already taken.
SPEAKER_02Because they cheat.
SPEAKER_01They do. I don't know. Leave it in. I mean, I mean it's yeah, yeah. I mean, men. That'll be a big part of my podcast is uh calling out men and like younger.
SPEAKER_02You love to call out a cheater. You love cheating.
SPEAKER_01I fucking hate cheaters. Like, yeah, like if you're but why I hate cheating because I think it's one of the most disrespectful things you could do to somebody.
SPEAKER_02Why is that the ultimate betrayal?
SPEAKER_01It's just so it's so selfish. It's so like it's like there's so many things that go into it. It's selfish, you're doing what you want, you don't care, like you have no care about the other person and what they're doing. Like they're like, okay, have fun tonight. They're in their bed sleeping and like, you know, listening to a great podcaster, and you're out there fucking a chick, fucking a chick. Like it, it's just like, and then when it all ends, like the cheater like walks away. I mean, they're already broken. Like, if you cheat, I feel like you're broken. Like, you just don't do that to people. Like, I feel like hurt people, hurt people. I will say that a million times in my podcast. Hurt people will always hurt other people because they'll make actions and do stuff based upon what they're going through. So it doesn't with no account for other people. So then the person who was great and being great to them is left with abandonment issues and why was I not good enough and like trust tissues, and they just leave broken.
SPEAKER_02Which is one brand of cheating that's like one sliver of a situation. I'm not like advocating, I just think it's so interesting. This, like, there's like a witch hunt. I I'm not advocating for cheating at all.
SPEAKER_01You have an arrangement. What just be single, either break up, just be like, we're done. I don't want you anymore. I want other people. Yes, that's painful for them, but I would rather them you show me you don't want me through having your cake and eating it too.
SPEAKER_02I feel like whenever be single.
SPEAKER_01You can see whatever you want if you're single.
SPEAKER_02Every time I like raise this like con I every time I want to have a conversation about this, I like if I'm on like the internet and I get in the comments, I am like there, like you are a home wrecker. And I'm like, wait, I'm not a homewrecker. I haven't done I haven't done yeah, like I'm not. I'm just curious about like the human condition where it's like you can like you can I I don't know what you can you can do horrible, horrible things that are forgivable, but for some reason cheating, which is like we're just horny animals, is the ultimate betrayal. And like I think like like marriage is this like like it's made up.
SPEAKER_01Yes, but uh yes, you don't but you don't also have to be married.
SPEAKER_02You don't have to be married.
SPEAKER_01That's a choice. It's a choice to marry it is a choice, it's a choice to cheat, it's a choice to marry. It's a choice to eat healthy, it's a choice to eat bad. Yeah, it's a choice to drink and drive.
SPEAKER_02It's just choices. I'm so I'm so interested in the channel. The ultimate betrayal. I think that that's really like what is I think it's interesting how that's like in our society, the the ultimate betrayal. I'm not condoning it.
SPEAKER_01I mean, imagine, but even as a friend, like imagine a friend going behind your back and doing something and how painful that is as a friend. And now you're doing that. I mean, when you have love, like love is so complicated and so intense, and somebody's so complicated, but it's yeah, but it's also like again, if you genuinely love that person, you want like I don't know, like I should also mention I hate adhering to contracts.
SPEAKER_02I love a loophole, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Which is why now you're divorced.
SPEAKER_02Um it works not legally divorced, yeah. I love my friends.
SPEAKER_01We're great friends. Great guy. Works for but works for you. Yes. Um so sorry, we went out. No, I love I don't hear and tangents are welcome on this podcast. Okay, so yeah, I that's kind of where I go with that. But um okay, I want to know more about your tool case, and we've gone at that. So where no, where did we go from?
SPEAKER_02Okay, so high school were finding ourselves, we're still kind of like I was punk and I got a boyfriend who was cool. Okay, but he cheated on me. Okay, does that know that? I want to make eye contact with one of them. He cheated on me. Woman, he cheated on me.
SPEAKER_01And how did that feel? He hated cheaters, and how did that feel? And I hated that I don't know him and I hate him.
SPEAKER_02Oh, this is insufferable, but anyway, I digress.
SPEAKER_01But then what happens if you're somebody you're dating somebody's insufferable, you break up with them and then you go do whatever you want with somebody else.
SPEAKER_02You should, yeah. I loved him. I it made me love him more though. Because I'm like, what do you mean you don't want me?
SPEAKER_01And it made you want you made you want to make him want you more now. Oh god, like how can I win him over?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's and that would be the cornerstone of my personality for another fucking 10 to 15 years. I just figured out that like male attention is not my primary directive or shouldn't be or isn't it was oh my god, it was. I was so validated by it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think a lot of people are, and I wanna because I always tell people like my brain is wired straight, just my vision's gay. When it comes to men, this is a big point of advice. When it comes to men, even man or like straight guy to straight no teeth, even straight guy, straight, straight guy to straight guy, yeah. Tuck those teeth away. But man to man, like that's why when men meet other men, they like they handshake and they handshake. They grab their hand, like you want a good handshake. If you have like a tiny, like a soft handshake, you're like, oh, this guy's weak. It's like men are all about respect from straight guy to straight guy, from straight guy to girl, whatever it is, men are very big on respect. So, like a man is going to respect a woman who respects themselves. So, like, if so when there's women who are like, I mention can tell and feel when women are like, Oh, I'm gonna do everything I can to get this guy or when you're like, I'm gonna do what I can to get him to like me, he he senses that. He's not like it's it's and so they know they have you wrapped around their hand, and like you're it's you're you're like a it's like a lion looking for the weakest gazelle out there.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I do identify as a gazelle, like that would be what you're doing.
SPEAKER_01You want to be the the lead gazelle, the one that that's in the front pack, and you're like, I'm out.
SPEAKER_02You ain't gonna you see it though?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I can see it.
SPEAKER_02What animal are you if you had to be animal?
SPEAKER_01If I be an animal though, I feel like I would be like if you were always like what I feel like I'd be a dolphin. I don't like water, but I feel like dolphins are just like playful fun, they're athletic, you know.
SPEAKER_02You're a dolphin.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That's hot.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I'm like slicking her back.
SPEAKER_02What do you dolphins are mean? You're mean what's the what's your least favorite like profession?
SPEAKER_01I don't even know. I don't even know.
SPEAKER_02Like, like I feel like there's some people like, oh, I won't, I won't date a hairstylist. Like, what's a profession you won't date? Do you have one? I don't ever think I thought about that. So I feel like all you do is think about who you won't date.
SPEAKER_01I guess I've really never thought about what I wouldn't. I think about what I would like. Like I always like, I mean, I imagine like was probably a guy like in finance. I'd like to do it.
SPEAKER_02I believe you're men in finance.
SPEAKER_01Uh finance, like I love a tune tie. I do not find a speedo to me is only attractive if you're like actually a swimmer or diver and you're using it for performance, just to wear it, just to be like, look at me, look at me is I don't like look at me people. I don't like attention-seeking people like that. So I mean you're attention-seeking, but like, but I love you. But I'm also not trying to date you. Um, so it's a different dynamic. But I'm single, um, I I love a man in a suit and tie. So like finance, that kind of stuff.
SPEAKER_02Do you like to do have you seen American Cycle?
SPEAKER_01Hmm.
SPEAKER_02We should watch American Cycle and tell me how you feel about suit and ties after that.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02This is a you should watch American Cycle.
SPEAKER_01But now I want to go to your 20s and 30s. Oh no, don't ever apologize. There's never there's no need to ever apologize. This is what I want. I want to gab and gab and gab. That's why I got this. Um, okay. So now when did you start? You got married in your 20s, correct?
SPEAKER_0220. I got married when I was 30. That's it. Yeah, we're not.
SPEAKER_01You were dating, you say you were you met the man that you ended up marrying in your 20s and then got married at 30.
SPEAKER_02Yes. I mean I met a man that I I met a man that I was living with. In hindsight, I was like, I don't know what the fuck I was doing all the time, a hundred percent. Okay. I met a guy.
SPEAKER_01That seems like the patterns in elementary. Yeah, I'm just but also I can kind of figuring out. Like, I don't know what the fuck I'm doing, but also kind of figuring out.
SPEAKER_02I'm kind of figuring out, and I thought I kind of had like my shit together, and I was my mom died while I was dating this guy, and my best friend slept with him after my mom died. No character-defining care if you're how old are you when you lost her? 27. So I was like, so I didn't marry young. So then I moved into a my first apartment on my own. It was awesome. And then um, I met my husband like in the throes of that grief. Okay. And so I wasn't young years-wise, but I was young healing-wise. Okay. Does that make sense? Yeah. And he was a very calm, steady person, and I was in a chaotic place, and I just like barnacled to him. Yeah. And I was like, this is I'm gonna this guy won't yell at me. I'm gonna marry him. It seems like he won't. That's the standard. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, the bar is. I do straight up though.
SPEAKER_01And that's and that's like my list is like a bazillion.
SPEAKER_02I know, I know the one we've talked about.
SPEAKER_01This guy, no, never.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, when you are when you're in class and you're like, I would never, you I would never, and and I'm laying, like no, I say never kiss on the first date.
SPEAKER_01I don't say don't put it in your mouth.
SPEAKER_02God, damn, if you're not kissing me on the first date, like what do you think?
SPEAKER_01No, because no, see, that's why. Because people use the first kiss for validation. They don't use it because they yes, you should want to kiss each other because you're attracted to you, like, okay, if you actually find them attractive and you had a good time, yes, it's normal to want to kiss them. But just because, again, discipline, just because you want to doesn't mean you do it. Every day I would love to eat five cinnamon rolls, but I don't because I'd be on my 600 pound life. I wouldn't fend this cherry on a bigger chair. So, like, discipline, discipline, discipline. I need a bigger chair. Like, you just you should leave there being like, I can't wait to kiss them next time. Yes. But if you're leaving there because if they didn't kiss you, that means they if if the kiss means they like you or don't like you, that's that's self-that's a me problem. That's that's it that's that's more you need more self-love. But so you start, wait, I want to know 20s 30s. You met this guy.
SPEAKER_0220s, 30s. I met I met my now ex-husband. Okay, yeah. At 27, right after I met, yeah, I met him at like 27, 28. We got married when I was 30. Okay. And then and we partied. That's how we got like that's how we connected. That was your way, yeah. And I started therapy in 2019. And that's a part of you. It's hard. A lot of people I a lot of people don't do it.
SPEAKER_01Right. Everyone should see a therapist.
SPEAKER_02So the catalyst was I mean, I got all types of shit in my past, but like I I was working.
SPEAKER_01You've been through some tough stuff, like therapies. I did. Like, I don't know what I would have done if I didn't see a therapist twice a week and I lost my mom. I like literally don't know what I've done. Yeah, like the pain was so hard, I felt like I couldn't live. Yeah. Like I just was existing and in like sitting in pain. Absolutely. Constant pain.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it sucks.
SPEAKER_01But like that's my heart physically hurt.
SPEAKER_02And you feel like uh yeah, I hate that. Like there's just the weight of the world on your chest, and that's a very real thing.
SPEAKER_01So they married and and it you guys partied. That was your way.
SPEAKER_02We were partying, we that's how we connected. Once we like chilled out and sobered up, it was like uh let's have a kid.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_01It's like now what like now what? Like, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Well to and so I started there.
SPEAKER_01Did you feel like your love was like almost like through the parting? Like when you weren't part when you weren't partying as much, was it kind of like like we had so much fun?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, like it was like that was our like we have fun.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And if we're doing life normal style and not partying all the fucking time, it's like what are we what are we doing? Yeah. And I mean he's he's a wonderful, wonderful person. But I have we have our son and I started ther I started therapy. Like we that's a cornerstone. That's that's starting therapy. I love my therapist and I will follow her into a fire and I credit her, like I would not, I would absolutely not be alive if it weren't for Carrie Jameson. Um but she and it like I I've been I see her every week since 2019.
SPEAKER_03That's awesome.
SPEAKER_02And that is what like having somebody in your corner who only cares about your well-being is unbiased, she's never given me a piece of advice, like never like, I don't think you should do that, I think you should do that. And I'm like, I'll ask her. Like, please, God, tell me. But that's the that's and through that, through starting to like unravel, like I felt like I was like at the bottom of a mountain, and I'm like, how the f oh it's I'm so um through that is how I found out that I actually like myself and I'm like, oh, I'm like I'm a I don't have to have sex on the first date.
SPEAKER_01Because you're awesome, and that doesn't mean that person loves you. That means they want something from you.
SPEAKER_02Unless I want to. Sometimes I want to.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, okay. That's a different story. But I relate to that because I feel like there was a part of me that loved myself. Deep down in there, I felt like I loved myself so much. Um but I didn't know how to feel I don't know if you feel this way, I didn't know how to feel that love until I got to therapy. It was like so deep and I knew it existed in there. Yeah. There's a part of me that would it come out like in like little like moments.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But then I was over it was overshadowed and overcasted by the the doubt, the insecurities, the, you know, whatever. And so like I had to like dig through all those layers to finally get to that center where the love was with through there with a Therapist to be like and like let that love out. And now I love myself, like I overly love myself. Like some people think people think I'm like egotistical or whatever. And it's like it's because they're intimidated by how much I actually fucking love who I am. Yeah. The person that I am. And like I still don't love things about me. Like I'll do things like I call myself out on things all the time. But at the end of the day, I love what my mom raised. I love who I am.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. You get, I mean, you're actually great. People do not like when you like themselves or when you like yourself. And they don't.
SPEAKER_01No, but so I always tell this world, it's so funny how the world is like, oh my God, mental health, we gotta help them. And then when somebody is so confident and loves themselves, they just want to tear those people down because why? Because if they're if they love themselves too much, they want it makes themselves feel better about themselves to tear other people down. So a big part of my whole this whole thing will always come back to like learn to love yourself. Like so where so now, okay, now you're going through okay, so then divorced now upper 30s, now you're 41. From not to hot. Like, how do you feel that you got like how much obviously therapy had a big, a big uh component to this, but being an expert at my job, you also are gorgeous and your bodies. I mean, I just like it's crazy to think like that both of us. I mean, like now, but like I I think everyone's bullied because kids are just mean. I don't think kids don't realize like what they do to other kids what they're you know, but um I think everyone's almost bullied, but what is it?
SPEAKER_02I'm you know, it's human connection, it's being good at connecting with people that has made me competent ultimately because it's like my job is to it's weird how much comes back to my job because I like hate capitalism. But it's like my job is to have this person sit in my chair, look at them, uh have them reveal what they don't like about themselves and what they want to change, and through this like very constrained area of their of their head, like change their life.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And it's like there is I like it's so cheesy, but I'm like, there is this is a slab of marble, and I see fucking Michelangelo's little micro penis in it, and I will be carving this out. And it's like I it's so cool to like, you know, you sit somebody in and you can tell, like you can tell if somebody's confident or not, because you can you can tell when they're not, because they'll they'll they'll like turn away, they won't look in the mirror, yeah. Or they you can tell by like somebody's like shoes what they're willing to do to their hair. Like it's like they're like you're a mind reader, and I'm like, no, I just have context clues. I'm just I'm a pattern recognizer because I'm deeply, deeply, deeply traumatized. But like it's helpful in my job. And so you like by making other people helping other people find that in themselves, like I find it in myself too.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, where it's like you and I that's I didn't I don't think I ever realized with you how much our careers go together. Hand in hand. Yeah, like you see, I see the people who come to me, it's very vulnerable to come to me and be like, I don't like how I feel. I want help. I want you, I want you to be the one that helped me. And I, you know, like, and so you know, I don't like how I look or I want my hair better, or how can I? It's just like people are so vulnerable with us and they open up about us, and you sometimes you come to a therapist in that one hour or whatever, you know. So I get a lot of just like love and confidence just from what I do and I give to and what I can give to others, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yes, 100%. And I really think that like, yeah, of course, like I'm very hot and tall and very like my body is great, my ass is fat, my shoulders are nice, and my back is cool because I row dumbbells all this.
SPEAKER_01You love rows, a standing row, standing row. You put them in there, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Thank you. But I think that um it is really through it's I but isn't it crazy?
SPEAKER_01It's like other things. But isn't it crazy that you didn't realize that you could be this that long time ago? Of course, like you would never have thought, like if you could see yourself in 20, 30 years, that you would be this like bombshell. So you were in your own little, like, you know, you had your your life. I mean, it was you you did survival. Yeah, survival.
SPEAKER_02Pure fucking it's pure.
SPEAKER_01I mean, in general, I think life is survival. My first episode I said how like I'm humbled by life. Like everything you every time you think something's great, boom, life will will throw something in front of you to hurtle.
SPEAKER_02You so every episode you have to come up with something new that you're humbled by. And and that is a exercise, that's gonna be an exercise for you.
SPEAKER_01That's gonna get tough.
SPEAKER_02That's gonna that is like therapy through this. Like you're autotherapizing. Like, I have to humble about something.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so I love that we're both millennials. My last, my last uh guess was in her 20s and like very like I what's like I know when it's like being in their 20s at this day and age with social meme, just everything is so different uh compared to like you know what we were like. I mean, I didn't have my first cell phone until like maybe my senior year in high school. I had a pager, you know what I mean? Like I just so many things that you know, I just what do you see now? So it's just fun to sit with like a 20-year-old yesterday yesterday or the last week and then sit with a millennial now. I also want to do like a fun little, like like a little this time is where I'm gonna call it hot or not millennial confessions. Great, these are my confessions, just when I thought I said all I could say. Okay, you're like yeah, yeah, see, see I would bring Usher on here in a bit.
SPEAKER_02Usher his apology in that song is bullshit. He's like, You respect that I'm man enough to tell you this. I was like, what the fuck does that mean? That's the bare minimum that you can do.
SPEAKER_01You're a real man, you don't cheat. I'm sorry. Like that's just you're you're a wimp.
SPEAKER_02A real person, you're that apology is trash.
SPEAKER_01You're wimping, you don't care about women, you don't care about other people. Discipline discipline, discipline, discipline, discipline, discipline.
SPEAKER_02Fine. And also his apology is trash. Listen to it. I hope you respect that I'm man enough to tell you.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so it'd be hot or not. I'm gonna I have a whole list. Do you have some in rentally in your head?
SPEAKER_02I have to look at my phone.

I like that baggy oversized pants have come back because I like when men look like men. Yeah, um, and I just like a like a guy in like baggy jeans with like an oversized T and like a backwards hat and a mustache, and like mustache and molts coming back.

SPEAKER_02And I like to bone.
SPEAKER_01Um, I like uh to bone later in life when I'm dating somebody, but okay.
SPEAKER_02When'd you lose your virginity?
SPEAKER_01That's crazy because my next question is hot or not, losing your virginity and junior high high school.
unknownHot.
SPEAKER_01Uh I would say not. Uh I love somebody who waits long. I waited until I was 21. I lost my virginity to a woman. Lord. I lost my virginity to a woman. Still talking. And uh for friends, she's now married, three kids. She's she's doing well. Yep, she's doing well. That's when yeah, when she found out, I'll never get that phone call. Did I make you gay? Is this true, shot? Oh my god. My girl, this ain't about you. You were like my you were like the last thing I was holding on to. Like you were my last hope. Like you're your last name, your yeah, your nickname was last hope. You didn't know it.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god. Blonde tips on men or women, like that? Men.
SPEAKER_01Not I had those when I was a kid, but not now, no. Yeah. Then hot, now not.
SPEAKER_02Then not. Those are those are my enemies. They were the mean ones. They were the mean ones. Like, how am I getting fag bashed? Sorry, I don't know if I can say that. Like, why are you calling me that? I'm but a lady, but I'm like, you know, I'm with the big pants kids. Big pants kids. Oh my god. Yeah. Frosted tips. We were that was not that was I had that. The the jocks hated.
SPEAKER_01But that was me in high school. I was more like I got I started getting cocky in high school because I was really fast.
SPEAKER_02I love my starts finding my cockiness. My sister's husband, when I met him, he had frosted tips, and I was like, red flag, dude.

SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Plaid skirts, clueless inspired.
SPEAKER_02Hot.
SPEAKER_01Is that still in now? I don't know. I don't know what's timeless. That was hot, yeah. Like clueless was just, I mean, Alicia Silverstone. Alicia Silverstone was just this is not millennial.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. But is this shirt hot or not?
SPEAKER_01So hot.
SPEAKER_02I love this. This is I watched it.
SPEAKER_01It's not Kate Middleton, but I think it's on.
SPEAKER_02It's definitely not Kim Middleton. It's Sharon Stone in Casino on her downward spiral. Yeah. Which is such a vibe.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Jennifer Anison Bob. Like the the No, she had like the what oh maybe may I'm using the wrong word. It was like it started like higher and then went lower.
SPEAKER_02She never had that.
SPEAKER_01She did. Jennifer Anderson on Friends?
SPEAKER_02No, she did not have that. She did. No, she had the Rachel, which is like shorter in the front and long in the back.
SPEAKER_01Oh, was it the layers?
SPEAKER_02She had the layers in the back.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay. Okay.
SPEAKER_02Girl, this child, this Gen Zier came in and showed me a sorry, bro. Bro, my pronouns, bro. She showed me a photo of Rachel with Rachel, and I'm like, no, like I it can't. I can't do this.
SPEAKER_01Okay, but you like friends? Did you like the show?
SPEAKER_02No, I like Seinfeld. Oh, see.
SPEAKER_01I thought about doing Friends with Seinfeld as a question, and I'm huge friends. It's obsessive friends.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I watch Friends all the time. Obsess.
SPEAKER_01I'll still watch it any day.
SPEAKER_02I don't like the Rachel. I know it had its moment. I love it as a cultural touchstone for hairstylists, and I'm so glad for what's his name, Chris, whatever the hairstylist is that he made this ubiquitous haircut. Fucking hate that haircut.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02Sorry.
SPEAKER_01No, I don't need to be you. I mean, this is with a chance to be. Okay, my last thing is last question. I want you to rank in order. I'll keep repeating them because there's I think there's six or seven of these. Brittany, Christina, Justin, 50 Cent, Eminem, Usher, Spice Girls. Okay. Say it again. Brittany, Christina, Justin, 50 Cent, MM, Usher, Spice Girls.
SPEAKER_02All right. So what are we, what are the what's the rubric?
SPEAKER_01Just overall? Just all around. Just your face. Music vibe, you're just like that's Christina. First?
SPEAKER_02First.
SPEAKER_01Wow. Okay.
SPEAKER_02And because her voice is unmatched. Unmatched.
SPEAKER_01Amazing. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Dirty, her slut era. Okay. Speaks to me. Okay.
SPEAKER_01You're her in that that that uh boxing ring. Oh not yet.
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Okay. Christina?
SPEAKER_02Christina just as a cultural pillar for me.
SPEAKER_01There you have Brittany, Brittany, Justin, 50 Cent, MM, Usher Spice Girls.
SPEAKER_02Oh, currently, you know what? 50 Cent currently, he's so petty and funny. I love him. He's so funny.
SPEAKER_01He's so rich a lot.
SPEAKER_02He's so rich and he's so like his vendetta against Diddy is like so delicious to me. Yeah. Well, yeah.
SPEAKER_01We didn't realize how much we hate pedophiles. Oh, yeah, we don't like here on no diddy fancy. No diddy fancy. That whole thing was amazing. Okay. Okay, so left we have Brittany, Justin, Eminem, Usher, Spice Girls.
SPEAKER_02Spice Girls.
SPEAKER_01Third. Okay.
SPEAKER_02Girl power.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_02Cute little bit.
SPEAKER_01If you were a spice, which spice would you be? Not one of them if we had to do new spice.
SPEAKER_02If I had to be a new spice.
SPEAKER_01A new spice.
SPEAKER_02Oh, hooker spice.
SPEAKER_01Hooker spice. Perfect. Perfect.
SPEAKER_02Salt side spice. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I would be. Yeah. Who would I be?
SPEAKER_02Well, sporty is already taken.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so I'd be like cunt spice.
SPEAKER_02Sorry, I did that up.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah. We don't do the same. Broy spice.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Jock spice.
SPEAKER_02I love how broy you are. And like like when you're not in the class, when you're not teaching, you would have no idea. And teaching your life.
SPEAKER_01It's up and okay. Now we have Brittany, Britney, Justin, uh and Usher. Mm-hmm. Okay.
SPEAKER_02Very I mean. Midwest. Midwest Midwest boy. My you know, the father of my child is from Detroit.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Okay, last three. Britney, Justin, Usher.
SPEAKER_02I think that order. I think Britney should be a little bit higher.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02This is difficult on this.
SPEAKER_01It is hard. It is on the spot.
SPEAKER_02And Justin, I'm like, I'm justice for JC.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02And who's the last one? Usher. Shitty apology. I hate a shitty apology.
SPEAKER_01And that's rap.
SPEAKER_02Great.
SPEAKER_01That's that.
SPEAKER_02Ta-da.
SPEAKER_01Anyways, thank you so much for pleasure. I just love you. I love, I love your story. I love, I'm proud of you. I'm proud of us. Like, I know that being young is is hard. And I think that, you know, I can't, I can't even imagine what it's like being. Imagine, like, including, imagine what we went through, as in like being bullied and feeling different. And like I was dealing with, like, you know, obviously, like, okay, I've crushed on guys, like, and I'm young. What does gay mean? Like, and just, you know, I was feminine, and you had you just felt like a misfit and nothing, you didn't, you know, you're even your clothes didn't match. Like, and it's like, imagine social media on top of that, dude. Dude, I would, I don't know what I would be like. It would have been so hard. So I think it's just, I I I feel for these kids, you know, and um, and I know that everyone has like trauma from childhood. Um, even if you come from a great family, there's just things that kids go through because of other kids. And yeah, I'm proud of you for growing and fine. I'm proud of you for going to therapy, and I'm proud of you for wanting to learn about yourself and love yourself. Cause I think that's literally like the key to life.
SPEAKER_02And so here's to not peeking in high school.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's good.
