point that is made more complicated by people trying to excuse their own sin, more complicated by people trying to downplay the point of this passage, or incorporate it into it, hey, all sins are the in marriage is not a post-fall concept. 00:06:42.879 --> 00:06:52.240 And I've heard people argue that, oh, you know, monogamy is something just because we're such sinful people and we live in a children a blessing to society. 00:08:09.199 --> 00:08:13.839 A child who's not disciplined is not going to be a blessing to their own family, much less society, right? 00:08:14.000 --> 00:08:22.959 A child who's selfish and you know stealing and throwing fits and insisting on his own way all the time will be a curse to his parents, Proverbs says, and a curse to society. 00:08:23.360 --> 00:08:33.600 But in the home, the child is disciplined and he grows up to get self-control established and to get his foolishness out of him, a blessing to his family. 00:08:33.759 --> 00:08:38.320 just the reality. 00:11:05.120 --> 00:11:15.120 Adultery attacks that and introduces doubt into that and shows that there's people in this world your parents love more than themselves. 00:11:17.120 It brings the reputation of the church and the body of Christ into it. 00:13:40.879 --> 00:13:45.840 It is an attack on holiness and on the way God made the world differently than other sins.
