Every room has a few skeptics, and every so often, a truly disruptive attendee.

In this episode, I'll share how I address resistance before it starts, why certain types tend to show up skeptical, and what to actually do when someone pushes back hard enough to affect the whole room.

In this episode:

  • Why type Threes are often the most resistant in the room, and how to address it before it becomes a problem
  • A simple icebreaker question that names the skepticism up front and lowers the room's guard
  • Positioning the Enneagram as a "problem resolution framework" (a nod to Mario Sikora) so skeptics know it's optional, not mandatory
  • Two real stories of truly disruptive attendees, what I did (not necessarily the best way, but a way for you to learn from and prepare with)
  • How to read the room and know when it's time to shift from patient facilitator to a firmer, more commanding presence
  • What to do when the group's leader steps in (or doesn't)
