What is going on everyone? Welcome back to the Heel Turn Podcast. I'm your host, Heel J and today, today is a good one for me, man. Today I'm reviewing and talking about we're gonna speak on TNA lockdown. Bro, this this show this this was a good show, man. This was this this was very well booked. There's some things that I didn't like. We're gonna get to that later on, but for overall, this was a really good show. They they pulled some things out of the ass, you know. The the shit was dope, I'm not gonna lie. So with the let's start off with the count countdown, the countdown to lockdown. It was the righteous versus rich swan and bd e and if you saw my prediction video, I said the righteous gotta win, especially if it's just a countdown match. There's no reason why the righteous should be losing to anyone but the hardies, and probably not the nemaths, because you know they're putting the company on their back or whatever, but besides that, they shouldn't be losing to no tag teams out there, and that's what happened. The righteous beat Rich One and BDE. The second match on the countdown to lockdown was Trey McGuell versus Agent Zero. And Trey McGuell came out with this Spider-Man gear that was pretty dope until you noticed that he was wearing a crop top sleeveless hoodie, and then I was like, Whoa, what the hell is that? Why does he have on a crop top sleeveless hoodie? And he did this little Spider-Man animation where he came out where he was acting like he was flinging web, and he pulled the camera close to him or whatever. It was dope. I it was a cool idea, but you act like you were pulling on a rope instead of just yanking the web back, you know, like that. Let me not criticize it. It was dope, okay. And that was Trey Miguel's second match back since injury or whatever. So he beats Agent Zero as he should, and then it's time for the main show, the main card, and the show started off with a banger, bro. I didn't think this was gonna be the match to open up the show, but they went AJ Francis versus Elijah to open up the pay-per-view, bro. And these two guys, I saw them live at Slammiversary. I was at Slammiversary in a g in in Boston at the Algonus Arena, and I I was surprised, I'm not gonna lie. These guys had me standing up off my seat, and then I see them in this lockdown match yesterday, and they pulled the big boss man and Hulk Hogan suplex off the top of the cage, bro. And I was like, What right? Not only that, AJ Francis hit a moonsaw off the second rope, bruh, in the corner. You know how that might not sound crazy to you until you actually see how big this man is, bro. This was in defensive lineman in the NFL. He's like 300 pounds, bro. He's like seven feet tall, and he's doing moonshots off this middle rope. This shit was crazy, bro. Well, expressions returned in that match and interfered to help AJ. AJ won after hitting a down payment. That's that's such a dope name for choke slap. I'm not gonna lie. That's such a dope name for down payment. He's the money guy, and all that you feel this shit. Yo, AJ's AJ's nice after the match. Elijah hit AJ over the head with a guitar, smashed him, knocked him out. AJ is such a good seller, too. He fell flat, and then he got a ball stumbling and that to carry him and all the young. He's he's amazing, bro. But AJ got the win over Elijah. I'm guessing he's he's two and one now over him because that was the third match. So I guess AJ won the beef. Then we get Allie versus Kier and nah, not um, yeah, Allie, because Rosemary's the one that's out. Allie, and with a surprise return of the new TNA signing of Kiara Hogan versus the elegance brand for the TNA knockouts championship, um, tag team championship. And let me tell you something. The only person that impressed me in this match was Kiara Hogan, bro. Kiara Hogan is nice, bro. She looked good, she performed good, everything, bro. Like, she was on point. That whole spot that they had going on with the handcuffs and the girl, uh the girl getting out through it's crazy how she fit through that little box of the of the cage to get out. But the handcuffing Allie and then trying to she break in the cup, like it was all just pointless and a waste of time, and it was stupid and it ruined the match. They should have just kept the camera on the action. Ciara Hogan was doing her thing. Ciara Hogan came out. Um, it's the surprise partner, so she's technically debuted as a tag team champion, and she was the one that retained them. So there you go. After that, we got the the TNA dream match. Man, this this was one that everyone was looking for, looking forward to, and every old TNA fan wanted to see. I'm talking about Moose versus versus Frankie Kazarian. Man, the winner would be the one who escapes the cage and touched the floor first. But let me tell you about this match. It had everything, it had the drama, it had the comedy, it had that action, it had the big spots, it had it all, bro. These guys are two veterans, and they knew exactly what they were doing. And the match was great, bro. If y'all want to go back and watch, this is one of the matches. This one in the AJ Francis matches, obviously, is one of the matches that if you want to go back and watch, because you didn't that you have to see. You gotta see Moose versus Frankie. You gotta see AJ versus Elijah so far, right? And there's another one that surprised me that I I I had no expectations for that one, and I was like, Well, but we'll get to that. Um Moose hit a Spanish fly off the top rope off the side of the cage, bro. To Frankie, a Spanish fly, bro. This is another lineman from the NFL, bro. But like, yo, bro, it's crazy how these huge guys are so athletic and they do this. It's the dedication that they got, bro. So they go back and forth. Moose gave Frankie a Spanish fly from the side of the cage. As they're stumbling to get up, Moose speared the life out of Frankie through the cage door, and Frankie hit the floor first, and that's why he won. So Frankie got the win, but technically, Moose beat the shit out of him so bad that he ended up winning by mistake. He hit him so hard that he flew out the cage, bro. But that that that's like the perfect way to end it. You feel good? These are two guys that are veterans, and you can't bear with neither of them, and this is like perfect, bro. So Frankie won that one. The next match, this is the one that shocked me because I had no expectations for this whatsoever. Zio Brooks side versus Elena Black, bro. And matter of fact, let me put it like this You guys remember Ric Flair, how Rick Flair would be bleeding like a stuffed peg. That's what JR used to say. He's bleeding like a stuffed peg. You'll look over Jay and Rick Flair's just soaked in blood. That was Elena Black, bro. And you could see her just wiping the blood off her face, and then two seconds later, drenched, drenched, drenched. The match was crazy, bro. I'm not gonna lie. Um Zaya hit Black with a bell, choked her out. Black bled from the forehead. Black finally made a comeback and got a good reaction from her hometown crowd. Black kicked out of the pin attempt from a dark side DDT that no one had ever kicked out of, apparently. Right? I didn't like the way it ended because it was a lot of action, a lot of back and forth, but they resulted to Zaya grabbing some powder out of nowhere and throwing it in Elena's face and like rolling her up. You know what I'm saying? Zaya Brooks threw powder in Black's eyes and got the pinfall and indie look from backstage. Yeah, because Indy Hartwell was watching the whole time from backstage, and Indy looked disappointed. Like, I even I was disappointed because it was a great match. I'm not gonna lie, there was a lot of spots, a lot of back and forth. She was bleeding like a stuffed pig, and the crowd was so into it, and everything was perfect. But it was just why will you end it with powder, bro? Powder? That's the best thing you resulted to was some powder. Zaire Brooks retained in 13 minutes for the TNA knockouts championship. Then we got this one, it was crazy. Jason Hodge versus Mustafa Ali from the Order 4 for the TNA International Championship. Hodge hung Ali from the top of the cage, gave him repeated super kicks. Ali made a comeback, but Hodge came back with even a bigger offense. Hodge gave Ali a pile driver from the top rope that looked like it made it've been botched. No, that was just really good selling. That was a really good selling. Ali scaled the cage with a tornado DDT. Agent Zero opened the cage door, but Tasha Steels closed it. And at that point, I'm like, yo, what is going on here? Right? But this is why you gotta keep watching because at this point, I'm like, yo, what is going on? He had his family watching on the side on the side. Tasha Steels is helping him out, whatever. Like, it didn't make sense to me, right? Hotch did a dive from the top of the cage to Ali. Oh no, the announce table on the side. Well, it's not an announced table because they don't have announced table, but it was a table. It was like he's on top of the cage. Ali's at the bottom. He's not, he's like half laid on the table. Because I guess he didn't want to take the bump all the way. So he was like half laid on the table. Hotch jumps and he like catches him and they go through the table. It was crazy, I'm not gonna lie, especially at the moment, it was insane. But then everybody thought Hotch got hurt, he's bleeding from his mouth. Ali walks over, which I don't know how Ali got up before him if he was the one that took the hit, but whatever. Um Ali walks over to Hotch's family and takes this like stuffed bearer or stuffed toy or whatever away from Hotch's daughter. Hotch goes, um, he's like watching on or whatever. Maila gave Ali a lighter. Ali was going to set the toy on fire, but Hotch stormed into the ring and brawled with Ali. Ali hung Hodge from the cage and whooped him with a belt. Hodge gave Ali a double stomp from the cage. Ali speared Hotch, then gave him a 450 splash from before the two count. Ali hit another 450 splash and got the pin. Skylar yelled that at Ali and checked on Hodge after the match. Hodge returned the toy to his daughter. So the toy was more important to him than the title. That was the story here. I'm choosing my family over this, whatever my family like. So like it is like I wanted Ali to win. If you saw my predictions video, I said give give the title back to the heel, and they did. So I'm happy for that. Ali is a great champion, bro. He knows he knows how to make guys look like great chasers. And when you look like a great chaser and you get the belt, and now it's boring, take the title off of him. You get what I'm saying? But there was a good way to do it. They because it doesn't bury him. He trolls his family, he's a family man for the love of the family. You get what I'm saying? So that worked out. Leon Slater versus Cedric Alexander for the TNA X Division Championship with a ridiculous stipulation that if Slater loses, his X division title rate is erased from the record books. The winner had to put the opponent down for the 10 count. So it was a last man standing cage match. This match was good. Alexander had the advantage, and Slater was bleeding. Slater gave Slater destroyer, Cedric Bled and Bled and Bled. Slater suplexed Alexander off the top rope. They traded strikes. Slater gave Alexander three lumber checks back to back to back. And this is where I thought he was gonna because he does this 450 swamp on whatever, right? So he hit the the lumber checks three times, boom, boom, boom, right? He climbs up to the top rope, he pauses, like really long pause. I thought he was gonna climb all the way to the top, right? Because he got the pop. Yeah, then it quiet down. If he would have gone up to the top of the cage, the roof would have came off that building, bro. The roof would have came off the building, but now then he hit the 450 splash, not the 450, the 450 Swanton. Alexander couldn't get up, he lost the title. TNA president Carlos Silva presented the belt to Slater. Slater is the new TNA X Division Championship, and his records are in the record books for the time being, you know, unless something happens. Um Moose got attacked two weeks ago on TNA. Cedric Alexander got attacked last week on TNA, and on lockdown, Elijah got attacked backstage. So we still don't know what's going on there. Next, it was the lead through lockdown match. It was Ricky Sosa, Jada Storm, Fabian, and Casey Navarro versus the system. And I wanted the system to win, bro. I think the system is such a good faction that they they gotta be protected, but they also gotta be put. I understand they gotta put people over at the same time, but it's working, man. They won, they won in a good way. The match was crazy. It's like the lead through lockdown match for didn't who for who doesn't know is basically war games with one ring, and the top of the cage is closed in, so they put a roof on the cage, so you're locked in the cage, and it's four on four, and it's like war games, they go joining one at a time after like every minute or two, or whatever, and then the first pinfall wins, but it's only one ring, so it's more chaos, and then the ring is full of weapons because the roof of the cage is like full of weapons, so I like it, man. It was good. Sosa drove bear through a barbed wire board, Sosa wrapped barbed wire around his arm, hit Myers for the two count. Eight Eddie gave Sosa a package power driver on two chairs, it was three chairs because he sat on one and got the pin. But if you go back and watch the match, there's so many spots, and there's so many weapons over there, so much going on. The system wins that that was to me the right call, bro. That was the right move. That was what they had to do, to be honest. They had to go with the system. You couldn't put those guys over the system. Not right now, it would have taken away all credibility from basically the only heel faction that you got, besides the Ali's order four. You get what I'm saying? Then everybody else's baby faces. Then it's main event time. We're getting the Hardy Boys versus the Nemeths, Nick Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth for the TNA tag team title match. And if Nick Nemeth won this match, he would be the second person after Kerrang, which would be TNA world champion and tag team champion at the same time. The teams brought that the belt. The fans were solidly behind the harde's. Matt gave Nick a side effect, followed by a splash from Jeff for a two-count. The Hardee's double team Ryan. Ryan gave Matt a low blow. Nick gave Jeff and Matt a super kick. Matt gave Nick a side effect. Like there was there was a lot of action, a lot of back and forth, a lot of specials. Jeff Hardy climbed to the top of the cage, but he didn't dive off. I thought he was. He they just attacked him and they pulled him back down because he's too old to be jumping from up from up there, to be honest. The match was pretty quick, man. The match was only 12 minutes. And Dolph Nick Nemeth hit Matt with a zigzag. Jeff Hardy had just got knocked out from the top of the cage, and he couldn't make it to break the pin. So the Nemeths won. The Hardys had they run as the GOATs as the greatest. This might be their retirement year, the way they're doing it. Who knows? Hopefully, it's not. They haven't announced it or nothing. But it was the right call, so I'm not gonna lie. Not saying that Nick Nemeth isn't like way younger than them, but they're the younger team, you know. Everybody's gonna love the Hardeys no matter what. Hardy's don't gotta be champion. The crazy thing after this match is that Leon Slater comes out and he options his option C at Bound Flow Glory, which is this is one of the coolest things that TNA has, in my opinion. Your mid-card champion could surrendered his mid-card title for a main for the main title, like for a title match for the main championship. Like that's so fire. I'm it's like in WWE. If I'm the intercontinental champion, I surrender my title because I want I want to I want a shot at the heavyweight championship. You get what I'm saying? That's so fire. Like, so that's what Leon did. He surrendered his championship so he could get a title match against Nick Nemeth at Bount for Glory. And the rumors with Leon Slater is that he's going to AEW. So I I thought he was gonna lose the match for the X Division Championship, but then I was like, damn, that's crazy. They're gonna erase his record. That's insane. Like, that's crazy work. Like, that's real petty work. If he really is leaving, and that's what they decided to do, is just erase all his shit because he's leaving. Like, that would have been crazy work. But now he he won, he surrendered the title, and now he's getting a main uh TNA world championship match. If he wins, then obviously he's staying. But if he loses against Nick Nameth, then yeah, the most likely is that he's done and he's he's moving on to better places. But yeah, man, TNA lockdown was fire, bro. I subscribed to TNA Plus to watch it. I had a bottle of tequila, my wife made food, and we sat and watched the whole thing, man. It was a great show. I I want to see what's gonna happen this Thursday on TNA Impact. Can't wait for Bounflow Glory. That's starting to shape up. I like how they have time in between pay-per-views, it's not like every two, three weeks, like WWE, so they can actually build up stories and stuff. So that's really dope. And they have this whole cinematic thing going over there. I'm really liking TNA, man. So I'm gonna be more locked in for sure. But yeah, that's it for today, guys.
