Dancing see music Deacon In the Greek this word means to be a servant, attendant, domestic, to serve, wait upon, strong. There was a need for these servants because widows were neglected in the daily ministration, deacons were to serve tables. Acts six two. The word serve is the same word translated deacon in first Timothy three hundred ten, so that the apostles could give themselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word. This need arose because the number of the disciples was multiplied to at least eight thousand men, Acts two forty one, four four, so the need existed with such a large group. Qualifications for a deacon are given in first Timothy three eight to thirteen. Death and as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment twenty seven. In the first death, one spirit is separated from his body. In the second death, his body and spirit are separated from God in eternal judgment, Revelation twenty eleven to fifteen. When babies die, they do not know what sin is, and therefore they are not accountable for their sins, and will go to heaven. For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first, then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
