Father, we just thank you tonight for your blessings. We thank you for your word. We thank you for your anointing. And Lord, I ask you tonight for the spirit of wisdom and understanding and revelation. Father, give us ears to hear what the Spirit of the Lord is speaking to us tonight. Lord, I know you want to do something great in our life tonight. And Father, we want you to do that. And so we offer up ourselves and we say, Father, not our will, but thy will be done in this service. And Father, I know it's already been done, but the remaining of this service, Father, from the preaching to the altar call, Lord, that thy will be done right now in the name of Jesus. Father, that you would get all the honor and you would get all the glory for what we're about to say and do. And Lord, I just ask you for your word to enlighten our eyes tonight. And I ask you, Father, for us understanding it like we never have before, so that we can leave here different than when we came in. And I thank you for that. Lord, bless your people tonight and have your way in their life in Jesus' mighty name. Everybody shout amen. Praise God. I want to talk about a subject tonight that uh I've been preaching a little bit on this year. And it's a subject of peace and grace, or grace and peace, however you want to say it. And I I want to I want to try the best the best that I can. I'm gonna try to get as much as I can to you. I'm gonna preach part of the time on grace and part of the time on peace. And I'm gonna try to give it to you. But uh I I want to get started tonight in 2 Corinthians chapter 12, verse 9 and 10. 2 Corinthians chapter 12, verse 9 and 10. I'm gonna read this to you. It says, And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee, for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly, therefore, will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. Anybody say amen to that? I want to give you a couple of things. Now, uh, I don't know if you ever heard uh, I mean, a lot of people think they've heard about grace, but I, you know, like I said, I'm a young man, I've been preaching a while, but I'm finding out more and more and more about the Bible that I never knew before. And that I don't have time to give it to you, but the word grace, there's 19 different meanings for the word grace. And so I can't preach all of them. We're gonna just look at a couple tonight, but uh one of the meanings is right here in this scripture in 2 Corinthians chapter 12 in verse 9. And I want to tell you the backstory first because you have to remember uh uh just a chapter or two ago how uh Paul was being buffeted by a messenger of Satan. And this messenger of Satan was buffeting Paul, in other words, he was aggravating Paul. Anybody ever had anybody no, never mind, never mind, never mind, never mind. Amen. Um but but this this this messenger of Satan was coming against Paul and just kept coming against him. Paul prayed, you can read it later, but it Paul prayed to God three times, and he asked the Lord to remove this messenger, remove this thorn in his he called it thorn in the flesh, but remove this messenger of Satan, remove this person, whatever, whoever it was, the thorn in the flesh, remove it. Three times he prayed that to the Lord, and then the Lord answered here back to him, and he said, My grace is sufficient for thee. Now, this word grace right here in the Greek actually means strength. It actually means strength. So we can read it this way it says that my strength is sufficient for thee, uh for my strength is made perfect in weakness. And so, my strength is sufficient for thee. And then he said, For my strength is made perfect in weakness. So he's what is he trying to say here? He's trying to say the word sufficient is enough. He said, My grace or my strength is sufficient. So my strength is enough for you. Now, I I'm gonna have to summarize this, summarize this really quick because here's the thing that I learned that later on, Paul uh was led by the Lord to start all these different churches. And so, what God was actually saying, and what God would not do, he did not remove the messenger of Satan. He did not remove the thorn in the flesh, because he wanted Paul to trust him in where he was at right now. Watch, but so what he did, God was trying to say to him, listen, Paul, my grace, my strength is sufficient. It's more than enough to get through whatever you're going through that this messenger is buffeting you, of Satan is buffeting you, because this is just the start of many things to come. So, watch this. If Paul didn't learn to lean on God's strength and knew it was sufficient right here, then he wouldn't have been able to advance later on in the scriptures and start all these other churches. Praise the Lord. So listen, wherever you are right now, you gotta learn, and you gotta know that his grace in this scripture, his strength is sufficient for you where you're at right now. And listen, you got to know the devil is a liar and he is defeated, and God is greater in you. And if you'll learn to trust him where you are, then he can advance you to something greater later. Hallelujah. Praise God. Somebody say amen. And so Jesus has already overcome every single thing. How many know that? Amen. And he has given us the strength to get through whatever we're facing in our life. The Holy Ghost, uh, well, let me say this. Let me let me say all of this. God was saying to Paul, in other words, he was saying the grace of God, the strength of God, and the Holy Ghost is like a raised barrier. Watch this. It is more than enough against any demon or any devil or anything else that you face in your life. Hallelujah. That grace is strength. Somebody shout, strength, in the name of Jesus. Amen. Strength. So watch this. Number two definition of grace is power. And we see this in Acts 10, 38. We all know this scripture. But how God uh how God anointed and consecrated Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit or with the Holy Ghost and with power. How he went about doing good and healing that were all oppressed of the devil, for God was with him. That word power there actually is a word for uh grace. And so it means deudamus. And so what he was saying right here is that the Holy Ghost is the Spirit of grace, and he is the power of God. And so watch this. Because it's the power, you ever been doing something maybe in your life, whatever it is, but whatever you're doing, it comes easy for you. Anyone ever had that happen? Whatever you're doing, it comes easy, but then something else over here you start doing, and it's like hard for you to do. Anyone with you? Anyone with me on that? What's the difference? Because you have been graced. I said, you have been graced to do this over here, so it comes easy, like a lot of people say. How you travel all the time, how you stay in hotels all the time, how you be your away from your family all the time. I uh I mean, I don't want to. I love my family, I love my wife, I love my three kids, and uh uh uh, you know, I didn't even explain that uh to introduce tonight uh who I am and where I come from and how long I've been married, but that's all right. We'll talk about that later. But I'm just saying I don't like to lead them, but the grace is there for me, it's not a struggle for me. Uh uh the grace is there, and for somebody else, it might be a struggle for them, it might be hard for them. And so it's the power when you walk in the grace of God, it's the power of God then that works through that grace and helps you get through whatever you're going through in life. Praise the Lord. Amen. All right, and so let's let's go on down a little bit further. In 2 Corinthians chapter 12, and verse uh sorry, I already read that one. 1 Peter chapter 5, verse 5 and 6. He says here, and I like this verse, he said, likewise you younger and lesser rank. Watch this. He said, Submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility, for God resisteth the proud, and he giveth grace to the humble. Now, I want to read this in the sixth verse. He said, Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that he, he, he, who's he, God, may exalt you in due time. Everybody with me tonight. Amen. So I'm gonna read this from the Greek, and uh uh like we did last night, uh, this particular scripture, and I want you to get what he's trying to say here in 1 Peter chapter 5, verse 5. He said, In the same way, younger men, you must recognize those with authority over you, submit to them, align yourself under their authority with a submissive attitude. He said, I'm talking about a submitting to more mature men who have more godly experience. As a matter of fact, all of you without exception must reciprocally gird yourself with a mindset of humility in your relationship with each other. Now, watch this. Because it's a fact that God arranges himself against the proud. Watch this. Metatodically opposing them, and he sets into motion a strategic plan of opposition intended to deal with the arrogant, the haughty, the high-minded, the impudent, the insolent, the proud, and the snooty. But on the other hand, to the one who chooses to take a humble route, watch this, when we humble ourselves before God, here's what happened: God graciously bestows an empowering touch of life-transforming grace that changes everything in our life. Hallelujah. What is that grace he's talking about? He's talking about favor here. Here's the third part of grace. Here's the third definition. It's favor. The favor of the Lord. The Bible said the favor of the Lord will surround you like a shield. That's grace. Hallelujah. Amen. That's grace. Amen. So let me let me give you the Greek on 1 Peter 5 and 6. So, in light of all of this, in all of this, he said, take a humble route and do whatever is necessary to humble yourselves directly beneath and under the mighty hand of God, so that he might give you a position. Watch this. When you humble yourself before God, then he is going to give you a position. Because that's what he said. He said, When you humble yourself before God, that he may exalt you in due time. Not for you to get the glory, but so that your life gives him glory more. Amen. So let me let me read this to you. He might give you a position of dignity, of eminence, of height, and rank at just the right time and when you're ready for it. See, God knows what you can handle. And I quoted this last night. That's why you got to be faithful in the small before He you can be ruler over the large. You've got to take what you've been trusted with right now, and you got to be faithful where you are, what we talked about last night. Be consistent with where you are day in and day out. Be consistent with following the Lord and allowing the Lord to lead you and guide you and speak to you. And then He can promote you and take you to the next level. And then you gotta be faithful there. And then He'll take you to another level. How many with me? Amen. But at no point you start pointing yourself back to yourself and say, look what I've done. No, no, no, no, no. Without God, you are nothing. Without the Holy Spirit, you're nothing. And you gotta keep yourself humble in the sight of God. Amen. And when you remain humble, then God can promote you and position you and bless you and raise you up to other levels and other places. Amen. I said, Amen. You know, I remember when I first started traveling many years ago, probably 12 years ago, and um uh something like that. And uh and I remember we first started traveling, and I was like, Lord, how I don't know how we're gonna do this. Like, I don't even have enough churches to preach all year long. Like, what am I gonna do here? And I remember starting off like that and just praying and seeking the Lord. And now, 12 years later, like we're booked every single Sunday all through the year. Uh, this is I mean, just year after year after year now. Why? Because God's opening up new doors. God's blessing us and giving us favor with pastors and churches and youth and conferences and revivals, and so now look what the Lord has done. But listen, it's not about me. It's just me about me listening to him and obeying him and him being able to trust me with what he's given to me. Amen. And I've got to be consistent, but I gotta know the favor of the Lord is upon me. Amen. When I submit myself to him, praise the Lord. Anybody with me today? Amen. All right, let's move on. Psalm 75, verse 6 says this for promotion cometh neither from the east nor from the west nor from the south. Notice that he does not mention the north. Well, praise the Lord, amen. Psalm 75, 6. He doesn't mention the north. He said, promotion cometh neither, or it doesn't come from the east or the west or from the south. He only mentions three out of four. So where does promotion come from? It comes from the north. What is he trying to say? It comes from your heavenly father, which is above. And you've got to understand, listen, I'm not gonna try to appease you. I'm not gonna try to please you. I don't want to make you upset. I'm not gonna on purpose come against you, but I have to please my heavenly father. Watch this. I I don't mean to be rude or crude, but he's the one who saved me, he's the one who called me, he's the one who sent me, he's the one that uses me. So I can't answer to you. If you don't like me, I'm sorry. Take it up with him. But he's the one that hired me, and you can't fire me. Praise God. Amen. Hallelujah. Amen. I I'm I'm just trying to be honest, you can't. Because watch, when one door closes, God opens another door for us. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord, amen. And so I'm just trying to encourage you. Listen, you've got to believe in God, you gotta trust in God. He is your very present help in time of need. He's the one that's a ruler of your life, not somebody else. Listen, I don't want to be a people pleaser. I'm not trying to come against anybody, but I don't live my life to please people. I live my life to please the Lord, and when I do that, then He can bless me, and then I find favor with people. Amen. Can I tell you that if this relationship is not right, then this relationship will never be right. No matter who, no matter what, it doesn't matter in marriage, out of marriage, job, boss, co-workers, doesn't matter. If this relationship between you and God is not right, it'll never be right with somebody else. Praise the Lord. Amen. So let me get back to this. The grace of God. Acts 10 30, I already read that. But when Joy Jesus was anointed by God, the grace of God was smeared all over him, and it covered Jesus. In fact, we see this in Mark chapter 1, how he was baptized in the Jordan River. And we saw that grace and that strength and that uh the Holy Spirit was smeared all over him after that. How he performed miracles and signs and wonders, and so anyway, the favor of the Lord was upon Jesus as well. And so I want to I want to explain to you here, and I want to shift gears a little bit, because I want you to understand that grace and peace right here in 2 Peter. Now, where this came from was this scripture right here and 2 Peter 1 and 2. The Lord showed me this scripture, and I want you to see this. 1 Peter 1 and 2 and 2 Peter 1 and 2 says the same thing. It mentions grace and peace be multiplied. 1 Peter 1 and 2, 2 Peter 1 and 2. Now I've learned this. If the Bible mentions it one time, you need to listen. If the Bible mentions it twice or more, you need to really listen. Amen. And so he said, Grace and peace be multiplied to you. So I want you to see this. 1 Peter chapter 1, verse 2. He said, Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, into obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ. Watch what he said. Grace unto you and peace be multiplied. And then he says in verse 3, he says, Um, uh, sorry, sorry, not verse 3. Sorry, uh he let me read this out of the uh Greek translation. He said, I'm talking about those who have been personally elected, hand picked, summoned, called out, and chosen by the dominating prognosis of God the Father. How many know that you're a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, hallelujah. You're a joint heir with Jesus Christ. Somebody say, I'm God's favorite. Amen. Well, praise the Lord. If you don't believe it, I am. Hallelujah. Amen. Watch. By his long-term plan that is being carried out by means of the ongoing, never-ending, sanctifying work of the Spirit that leads us to a life of obedience and living in submission to him with the goal to carry out his commands. These are they who have been completely cleansed and purified from all guilt, hallelujah, and all shame. By how? By how? Because what they talked about tonight, the sprinkling of the shed of the blood of Jesus Christ, he said, Grace to you, hallelujah. How many are saved in the building tonight? Amen. Watch this. He says, Grace to you. That is the supernatural favor that empowers you to be and to do all that is needed. And then he says, and peace that brings cessation to wars in your life, closures to conflicts, and the removal of all the distractions. This peace allows a time for rebuilding, reconstruction, and it ushers in prosperity, it fosters the rule of order to the place of chaos, and it produces a calm inner stability that results in the ability to conduct yourself peacefully in the midst of circumstances. Watch this, that would normally be traumatic or upsetting. May this grace, may this peace, and all that they entail multiply and proliferate until they abundantly overflow in your life. Wow, praise the Lord. That's a lot. I say that's a lot. Amen. So what is he trying to say? He's saying, may this grace favor, may this pay uh this peace. What is this peace? It produces a calm inner stability. Come on, somebody. And when it produces a calm inner stability, listen, do you know that you're not only saved by Jesus, but you have Jesus living on the inside of you, and one of his names is Prince of Peace? Hallelujah. So if the Prince of Peace is living on the inside of you, then the Prince of Peace should bring up peace if you allow him to in your life that creates a calm stability no matter what storm you're facing, no matter if the sea is raging. Remember Jesus and the hinder part of the ship in the boat? The disciples were worried because the storm was raging, and they said, Do you not care that we're about to perish? Or in other words, do you not care we're about to die? And they went and woke him up. Why? Because he was asleep, because he already had said the word that we're going to the other side. So he was resting in the word, in the calm stability of the storm. He wasn't worried about the storm because the storm was not going to stop the word from coming to pass. Listen, the reason why you gotta get grace and you gotta have peace is because in the midst of the storm, praise the Lord, in the midst of the storm, the devil will try to tell you you're never gonna make it, and that word is never coming to pass. But I'm telling you what, the word of God is the most powerful thing on the universe. Hallelujah. It's a two-edged sword. What's this? And it's active, it's powerful, and it's purposeful. Amen. Watch the reason why it's a two edged sword. When you speak the word, the word cuts out what doesn't need to be, and then the word puts in what does need to be. Amen. So the word of God is alive, it's quicker, it's more powerful than anything else. I started saying this about a year ago. God's power is greater than the devil's power. I said, God's power is greater than the devil's power. God's power is greater than the devil's power. Can you say that with me? God's power is greater than the devil's power. Listen, when it comes against you, you got to realize I'm not moved by what I see, but I'm moved only by what I know on the inside of me. I got grace and I got peace, and he said it's going to be multiplied. Now watch this. He didn't say addition. He definitely didn't say subtraction. But he didn't say division either. I don't know about you, but I like multiplying. Right? Multiplying is better. Somebody say amen. Alright. Now it depends on if you go with low numbers or not. One times one, you ain't gonna multiply very much. But you get beyond one. Come on, somebody. Two times two is what? Oh Lord, I got to help y'all out. Amen. But one person answered on that. Anyway, we can't go back to school right now. Let me just help you. Four. Amen. Three times three is nine. Praise the Lord. Ten times ten is what? Come on, a hundred. Praise the Lord. Help me out. Amen. So can you can you see how multiplying is greater than any other thing? Amen. And so there's a reason why he said, Grace and peace be multiplied. Now, that's 1 Peter. Now let's look over to 2 Peter really quick, and we're gonna get into peace in just a second. 2 Peter chapter 1 and verse 2. He said, Grace and peace be multiplied unto you. Watch this. He tells you how. Watch this. 2 Peter 1 and 2. Grace and peace be multiplied unto you. Watch this. Through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. Watch. So that tells me knowledge is power. Now I'm not gonna say this is the number one thing, but this is probably the top three or top five. The reason why the devil defeats a lot of people is lack of knowledge. Lack of knowledge of what? Lack of knowledge of the word and of the will of God and the plan of God for their life. And also the promise of God. Amen. And the covenant that He's made with us. Amen. If I don't know, if I don't know the promise from you, right? If I don't know the covenant with you, just like our kid, my my kids and our kids. If my three kids came in the house, but they didn't know that they could go to my refrigerator and get anything out of it if they want to. Then they would stand in the kitchen and then they would ask me, hey, uh uh, you know, sir, do you mind if I get anything out of the kitchen?
unknownCome on.
SPEAKER_00Right?
unknownCome on. Amen.
SPEAKER_00Praise the Lord. Y'all with me? Right? So they would ask me. Why? Because they don't know their privilege. But let me tell you, my kids know their privilege. Hallelujah. Amen. Praise the Lord. Amen. They take it beyond the privilege. Amen. They know there's a they promise there. They know there's a covenant there that whatever I have as a dad and whatever my wife has as a mom is theirs. If they need it, we're going to help them with it as much as we can, right? And so we're in this together. We're in covenant together. In fact, we're not just covenant, we blood related. You know what I'm saying? You don't cross the bloodline. Hallelujah. Praise God. Listen, they always say blood's thicker than water. So I'm doing it right now. Don't become between anybody that's kin to each other. Hallelujah. Amen. You're not on become an in-law, you become an outlaw. Praise the Lord. Amen. So watch, watch. Watch this. So the same way that Jesus is in our bloodline, and we're in Jesus' bloodline. Well, praise God. Amen. Let me move on. Amen. So let me read this. 2 Peter chapter 1, verse 2. What is he saying about grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God? Let me give you this. He said, Grace to you, and by grace I mean supernatural favor that empowers you to be and to do all that is needed. Watch this. He said, I also speak peace to you that will bring cessation to wars and closure to conflicts in your life. A peace that removes distractions. Hallelujah, amen. A peace that allows a time for rebuilding, reconstruction, ushers in prosperity, fosters the rule of order in the place of chaos, produces a calm inner stability that results in the ability to conduct yourself peaceably in the midst of circumstances that would normally be traumatic or upsetting. Now watch. May grace and peace multiply and proliferate. What does that mean? It means it's going to grow, it's going to spread, and it's going to increase. Watch. That they abundantly overflow. Watch this. When will they do this? As you grow continuously in your masterful knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. That is until you become, listen to this, top-notch experts concerning God and Jesus and our Lord and Supreme Master, who has ultimate authority in every known, unknown, visible, and invisible realm. Amen. And you gotta know, I read the scripture yesterday that God is, that God is. You gotta know that he is first. And then you know he is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him. So the more you know about God, the more you understand about God, then the more you can have the peace of God and experience the grace of God in favor in your life. Hallelujah! Well, praise the Lord. Amen. And so watch what he said in verse 3. I like this. 2 Peter 1:3. According to his divine power had given to us all things that pertain to life in God, and it's through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue. Watch what he said. He said, let's read out the uh the uh the uh Greek. He said, His divine power, a power that's explosive, unparalleled, and so mighty. Watch this, his power is so mighty that it shakes things up and has within it the divine ability, watch this, to shove the enemy out of the way and advance to take territory territory. It's the kind of power God intends for us to experience, which has already been fully furnished and supplied to us as believers. Hallelujah. And it touches every part of our physical and spiritual lives. This power becomes real in us through the masterful knowledge of Him who is elected, handpicked, and called us by His own glory. Watch this. He's the one who reached down His almighty hand and His strength to lift and raise us up to a new position. Can I tell you where our new position is? You could, if you know your Bible, you know where we're at. He said that we have been seated at the right hand of the Father. Watch this. Where is Jesus? He's seated at the right hand of the Father. Guess where you are if you're saved tonight? You are seated at the right hand of the Father. So what does that mean? Everything that Jesus has belongs to you. Hallelujah. Everything that God has belongs to you. And you got to realize what belongs to me. I've got to get into this word and start reading the promises of God. That greater is He that is in me, that you shall not worry, you shall not fret. Why? Because the Lord thy God is with you everywhere you go. Hallelujah. Amen. He's given us a name above every name where my men must be saved. Amen. At the name of Jesus, every knee will bible. Watch this. At the name of Jesus, every demon trembles and every devil flees at the name. We got the name, we got the blood, we got the word, we got the Holy Ghost. I mean, we got angels. I ain't even preached on angels yet. We got angels that are with us. Hallelujah. How can you not live in victory in this life? Hallelujah. Amen. I can tell you how. Because you get your eyes on what is wrong instead of getting your eyes on the answer, which is God who's going to cause everything. Watch this. Whatever the devil means for evil. There again, we're going back to the word. Amen. You got to know the word. Whatever the devil meant for evil, God, God, my God, my Savior, my redeemer. Amen. My very present helping time indeed by God is going to turn it around for my good. I don't know how. It ain't for me to figure out. It ain't for me to worry. It ain't for me to fret. It ain't for me to stay awake at night. I just know and I just say according to his word, just as Jesus said. Let's go to the other side. Now I'm going to go to sleep in the hinder part of the ship. Right? So you said, devil, you can make it look like you can do all that you can do against me if you want to. My God is going to make what seems to be wrong. He's going to turn it for my good. Hallelujah. And I'm going to rest in his word. It's turning for my good. Come on. Somebody needs to hear that tonight. It's turning for your good. I don't know what went wrong in your life. I don't know if it's spiritual, physical, or financial. But I'm telling you right now, it's turning around for your good. If you'll stay hooked up with the Lord, if you'll stay in prayer and worship and relationship, I'm telling you, the Lord will turn your ship around. Hallelujah. Praise God. Anyone with me, can he say amen? Now let's go into this peace real quick. I don't have just a minute left. John 14, 27. Watch what he said. Peace I leave with you. Watch this. Peace, I leave with you. Peace, I leave with you. Watch this. It's just like me bringing these in. And I'm gonna say, these Kleenexes, I'm leaving with you. Now watch this. You can know that they're there, you can see that they're there. But until you get up and you take one out, you don't partake of what is there. So he let you peace. If you ain't living in peace, because you ain't picked up the peace. Because you ain't opened up to the peace. He's the Prince of Peace living on the inside of you. But watch, watch, watch. Watch this, watch this, watch this. This is what the Lord showed me today. Let me read this verse. Peace I leave with you. My own peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives, do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Stop. Watch this. This is the amplified version. Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed. And do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled. Watch this, watch this. So when, watch, this is his peace. This represents his peace. Everybody with me?
unknownOkay. Come on.
SPEAKER_00Praise the Lord. Pastor's with me. Amen. This represents Jesus' peace. Everybody with me? And he said, My peace I live with you. Watch, watch. So peace is there. Peace is here. It's on the inside of us. But we got to partake of it. We got to look inside and allow it to rule and reign in our heart. Watch. But the reason why we don't is the scripture says right here. He said, Do not let your heart be troubled. So watch. When you allow trouble to trouble you. See, trouble can be on the outside, but trouble don't have to get on the inside. But when you allow trouble on the outside to trouble you on the inside, watch. This is what happened. This represents trouble. It goes on top of the peace. So now I can't access my peace because trouble is pushing down my peace.
unknownAmen.
SPEAKER_00Well, praise the Lord. Amen. So the only way I can access what God wants me to access is then to go back to the Word and do what He said in His Word to cast all my care. Come on, somebody, the trouble that I have. Cast it upon the Lord. And when I cast it upon the Lord, now my peace is back available to me again. Why? Because I'm not going to worry about it. I heard a man say the other day, he said, if it's not your if it's not within your ability to fix it, then quit worrying about it. Praise the Lord. But if it's within your ability to fix it, then fix it. But most of the time it's not within your ability. So why are you worried about it? Prayer, as the Bible says, changes things. He didn't say your ability to worry changes things. Your ability to be troubled on the inside changes things. No, he didn't say that. He said prayer changes things. What is prayer? It's basically casting everything on the Lord. I'm giving it to you. So you can go to work, Lord, because you're greater than I am. You see all, you know all, you can do all, and I can't. Praise the Lord. I can only be at one place at one time right now. And so I access this peace, so therefore now I can start getting peace. I'll buy you some more tomorrow. Praise the Lord. Amen. Right? Everybody with me today? Amen. And so why we don't have peace is because we allowed the trouble, this trouble to push down our peace. Did your I'm gonna ask a question but don't answer. Did your peace leave? No. Your peace did not leave. Did Jesus leave you? Just because you're troubled on the inside, did Jesus leave you? Come on. That's not a trick question. No. He never leaves you, he never forsakes you. So the Prince of Peace is still on the inside of you. But see, you feel sometimes because the trouble makes you feel you're all alone and nobody cares. Just like the disciples on the boat. Do you not care that I'm about to perish? Do you not care we're about to die? And Jesus said, Why are you so worried? Why are you so fearful? Amen. And so that's what he's trying to say to us. Why are we so worried? Why are we so fearful? Listen, connect to the peace that passes all understanding. And it's the inner stability on the inside that I refuse to worry about anything. Hallelujah. Amen. I'm giving it to God. He's gonna be up all night. I might as well go to sleep. Praise the Lord. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost is gonna work 24-7, 365. Why are you gonna stay awake? You ain't gonna make it no better.
unknownThat's right. Amen.
SPEAKER_00Praise the Lord. Somebody say amen. 2 Timothy 1:7. For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or craving, cringing, fawning fear, but he has given us a spirit of what? Power, love, and a sound, calm, well-balanced mind, discipline, and self-control.
unknownAmen. Amen.
SPEAKER_00Praise the Lord. How is he going to do that? Through the power, through the grace, and through the peace. Anybody with me tonight? Romans 12, 2, he's telling us here, I'm giving you a lot of words, but I want you to understand it. Do not be conformed to this world. Or this age, fashioned after, adapted to its external superficial customs. But be transformed or be changed by the entire renewal of your mind. The new ideals and its new attitude, so that you, everybody say me, so that you, me, may prove for yourself that what is good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect in his sight for you. What you gonna do? You're gonna prove it out to be true. When? Because I'm not gonna be conformed to this world. Well, praise the Lord. Amen. Let me continue on. Praise God. Let me let me skip down. I just have a few minutes. Let me skip down to Mark. Wow, I got two minutes. There's no way I can give you this. Mark chapter 5. Anyone uh heard this story? Mark chapter 5 is the woman with the issue of blood. I need to get this to you tonight. I need to get this to you really quick. It's the woman with the issue of blood. And I don't have time to read it all, but all I all I can do is just summarize it for you. She had heard of Jesus. She'd uh she uh somebody had told her she'd heard of Jesus, of uh, you know, him healing people, and she had spent all she had with the issue of blood, and the Bible says she rather grew worse, and then um she said uh that she's got to make her way to see Jesus. And I understand there was no cars, there was no airplanes back then. Come on, somebody. So she had to walk to wherever Jesus was, and as she was walking, she said and kept saying, If I but touch the hem of his garment, I shall be made whole. If I but touch the hem of his garment, I shall be made whole. If I but touch, so she kept saying in her mind, in her mouth, in her heart, before she ever got to Jesus. And then when she got to Jesus, there was thousands of people around Jesus, and the Bible says she pressed her way through from all these people, touched his garment. The moment that she touched his garment, Jesus recognizing of himself in verse 30 that the power proceeding from him had gone forth. And the disciples kept saying to him, You see the crowd pressing around, uh hard around you from all sides, and you asked, Who touched me? Still, he kept looking around to see her who had done it. Verse 33. Watch what he said. But the woman, knowing what had been done for her, though alarmed and frightened and trembling, fell down before him and told them the whole truth. Verse 34. And he said to her, watch this, watch, watch what he says to her. He said, Daughter, your faith, your trust, and your confidence in me, springing from faith in God, has restored you to health. Everybody shout, Hallelujah, amen. Now watch this. Praise God, she was healed. But see, a lot of times I didn't see this next part. Maybe you did, I didn't. But see, I was praising God, she was healed, and I just preach and glorify God right there, and I'd stop. But the next part of this verse is very important. Watch what she what he said to her. All right, praise the Lord. We'll see you tomorrow night. Amen. Watch. No, no, just kidding. What's watch what he said. He said, Go into peace and be continually healed and freed from your bodily disease. Now, watch, watch, watch, watch. She's been healed. Right? Watch this. She's been healed. Just walk with me on this. She has been healed. But now Jesus is saying, now that you're healed. Watch this. He said, now go in peace. And then be continually healed. Watch. I want you to follow me. So she was healed. And then he said, go in peace, signifying she wasn't in peace over here. Everybody follow me. He said, daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole. She's healed. But he said, now go in peace and be continually healed. Now follow me on this. So does that mean, maybe, maybe not. I believe it does, but let me just throw this out there. Does that mean, as long as I'm in peace with God and with others, then I keep my healing. So the question is raised, we don't know, we don't know, but the question is raised about the woman, the issue of blood over here. Is the reason why the issue of blood come on her was because she got out of peace with God. Just a question. I don't have no proof. I'm just I'm just I'm just going by what Jesus is saying. Because she didn't have peace as long as she had the issue of blood. Everybody with me. So did she get out of peace, which caused her heart to open up to attack of the enemy, which caused her body to open up to attack of the enemy. Watch this. Because peace of God is protection of God. Why? Because peace is who he is. He's the prince of peace. And if I stay within that peace and I allow that peace that is within me to rule and reign in my heart by Christ Jesus, then He's also the healer. Then he's also the provider. Praise the Lord. Amen. I think I just lost some of y'all. Y'all looking at me strange. Praise the Lord. So I'm just saying, I'm just asking. I'm not saying this is, you know, this is Kegel. All right. This is Jody Kagel, just talking to you, alright? Is the reason why she opened up to sickness and disease because she got out of peace. And then she said, if I but touch the hem of his garment, I shall be whole. And then she had to use her faith now to be healed. And now when she touched him, she got healed. But then Jesus said, Now, watch this. He talked to her. Now. Go in peace, and you'll be continually healed. Watch. So there again, that leads us to believe. If she does not go in peace, she cannot be continually healed. If what he said is true, then the opposite is true. Does that make sense? He said, go in peace and you'll be continually healed. Well, the opposite is true. If you don't go in peace, then you can't be continually healed. And so she would have gone right back with the issue of blood. Well, praise the Lord. Amen. Hallelujah. Amen. I'm trying to hang on just a little bit longer, trying to get it through you. Amen. Trying to get it through you. But listen, this is Jesus' words. This ain't mine. So if you got to argue with anybody, argue with him. Not me. I'm just reading what he said. He said, daughter, go in peace and be continually healed. So watch this. Peace is a protector. I remember years ago, my grandfather was a World War II Navy shipman. And he was a gunner's mate in World War II on a ship. He was on an amphibious aircraft ship where they took the soldiers to the to the uh to the shore and dropped them off. He was a gunner's mate, and he told me later in his life, before he passed away, he would never talk about it until later in his life. But he told me, he said, Jody, he said, it hurt so bad, he said, because our orders were to shoot anything that we see. Because we didn't know. Even they would use kids to, you know, to bomb the uh the uh the ships and just kill our troops, and we had to shoot everything. And so he was telling me, he was telling me this, and he said, one night they were sailing in the sea, and there was a typhoon that came up. He said, and I was just a gunner's mate. He said, but I knew how to steer the ship. He said, so I went up there and I said, fellas, I said, I'm gonna give y'all, this is my grandfather. My grandfather said, fellas, I'm gonna give y'all a break. I'm gonna steer this ship. Because my grandfather said, and I've never seen a typhoon, I don't know if you have or not, I've never had. He said, the typhoon was bigger than the ship. And he said, literally, when that typhoon would come up like that, he said, that ship had to be straight. And he said, and it was cocked straight up, and you could see straight, straight up on the ship, and that typhoon was up there. And if we were turned this way, that typhoon would then turn the ship over. He said, I knew as long as I faced that typhoon straight on, he said, then I'd get to the top of the typhoon. He said, and that big old ship then would be pointed straight down to the ocean. He said, and I still had to keep it straight. He said, I can't tell you how many hours I stood behind that wheel. He said, but all I knew is as long as I had the wheel, we was gonna survive. Praise the Lord. Amen. So watch this. So my he began to tell me stories like that, and it was before he was saved. It's amazing how God even used him before he was ever saved. And so he got saved. All I knew was my grandfather being saved. He helped me write my first sermon, bought my first Bible, and raised me in church and prayed for me. And so, anyway, what a blessing he is. He's now in heaven, and I will see him again. Amen. Hallelujah. But watch this. So uh we were in his house one day, or my grandparents' house. My grandfather had a recliner here. My grandmother sat over here on the couch, and uh my cousin was in there, and she was sitting at the other end of the couch right here, and I was standing in here in the kitchen, and the stove was here, and there was a bar here, you know, bar area there where we serve food or eat, whatever. And I was standing right here, and my cousin was saying what she was gonna do. Um, you know, I don't know, she was like coming to stay with my grandparents or something like that. I don't remember exactly. And I and I spoke up, I said, No, you're not. And the reason why, because I'm the oldest grandchild. Praise the Lord. Amen. Hallelujah. I was the firstborn, not by three months, but that's all right. I was firstborn, amen. And so I'm the oldest grandchild, and so she was like fourth in line, fifth in line. She ain't got no say. I mean, that's what I thought anyway, you know. And so she was saying she's gonna do all this in my grandparents', you know, house and move in all that. I said, No, you're not. And she said, Yes, I am. She started arguing by. I said, I'm telling you right now, you ain't moving in here. And I said, I can stop you from moving in here, you know. And so we started going back and forth. Now, this is many years ago. Forgive me, praise the Lord. I was a teenager, amen. And uh anyway, so uh we was going back and forth, and so I'll never forget my grandfather because he was a gunner's mate, he was hard of hearing. So he had a cochlear implant on the side of his head right here, and uh, he would have to adjust it to hear you, and sometimes he'd just take it off because it was too noisy, you know, and all that. And this particular time he was sitting right there in that recliner, and we was going back and forth. My granny was sitting right there, and my grandfather said, Hey! Just like that, right there. And I was like, He said, Hey! He said, There will be no animosity in this house. He said, if y'all want to argue, y'all take it outside. And I knew right then, watch this. Your peace is priceless. I said, your peace is priceless. And you don't need to let nothing or nobody disturb your peace that you have on the inside. Sometimes you have to be, you're on the phone, and sometimes you just need to say, hey, hey, I got to go, I got to go. And interrupt them because they just disturbing your peace. And it's all right, you do need to go, praise God, and you need to go to prayer and quit talking about somebody. Well, praise the Lord. Amen, hallelujah. I just threw that right in, amen. So watch this. Your peace is priceless. So, what is your peace worth? It's what I'm asking you. For my grandfather, he knew what no peace was. He was a drunk, he was an alcoholic, he was a cussing man, and he had no peace. He was miserable. But when he found Jesus, hallelujah, amen. He said that the Lord delivered him from every single thing that he had addiction to the moment that he got saved. And then everybody, he was a Cobb County Heating Air Inspector. He carried a little New Testament Bible in his shirt pocket. And when he would go to talk to people, they would ask him, they would say, What church do you go to? He said, Honey, it don't matter what church I go to. Let me tell you about the Jesus that I know. Amen. And he'd take them to Romans and he'd say, Listen, it don't matter about the church. What it matters is that you believe with your heart and confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus. Then and only then thou shalt be saved. So let me share about Jesus to you today. Amen. So listen, he treasured that peace that was on the inside. And my wife can tell you, the first time she met my grandfather, she fell in love with my grandfather. You know why? Because it was the peace that passes all understanding on the inside. And he gushed out with peace. He gushed out with the love of God, he gushed out with the fruit of the Spirit, and he just knew that there was nothing gonna cause him to go back to his old ways and his old habits and his old thinking that he was gonna stay in peace every day of his life. Hallelujah. Amen. Amen. So I gotta close. Listen, your peace is priceless. You determine what goes on here, what goes in here, and then what comes out of here. Because whatever you meditate upon the most, the Bible says it drops to your heart. And out of the abundance of the heart, the mount's gonna speak. How do I know that? Joshua 1.8. Thou shalt meditate upon the word day and night. Observe to do according to all that is written therein, for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. You don't believe that meditating on the wrong thing is gonna affect you? I promise you. If you meditate on the problem, it's gonna affect your peace. It's gonna put a damper on it. Amen. Somebody shout amen. And so it's what you meditate on, it's gonna affect you. And it's gonna drop to your heart, and then you're gonna start spewing out the mouth. Hallelujah. Somebody say amen. And then somebody say this. Hang with me. Somebody say, Well, I just need to give them a piece of my mind. Honey, let me tell you something. You better hang on to your pieces because you've been giving too many away. Praise the Lord. Amen. You're running out of pieces. So it's time to keep your pieces to yourself. Amen. You can't put together a puzzle without all the pieces. So keep your pieces and don't worry about everybody else. Praise the Lord. And I promise you, everything else will work out. It's not for you to figure it out, it's for you to trust Him and rely upon His grace. What did he tell Paul? My grace, my strength is sufficient. It's all that you need. And in that grace and in that strength, all that you need, rely on that peace. Jesus said, My peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you. Not as the world giveth, but such as I have. Such as I have. I give unto you. So if you're in Christ, then you have such as He has. You have peace. Why? Because that's who He is, is the Prince of Peace. Well, praise the Lord. Amen. Stay on your feet tonight. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. Can you give the Lord a hand clap of praise tonight? Amen.
