Massage is one of those things people swear they “need,” but many of us only book when we’re already in pain. We’re joined by Adriana Rogers, owner of BomDia Massage and Wellness in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, to challenge that pattern and talk about massage therapy as real preventative care, not a last-ditch emergency fix or a once-a-year treat.
Adriana shares the story behind her work, including her early passion for helping people, her four years in the Air Force, and the training that led to nearly two decades in the massage therapy industry. We also dig into what makes BomDia different: a personalized, client-centered approach and a menu that goes far beyond the “cookie cutter” experience. You’ll hear about therapeutic massage and relaxation massage, plus wellness services like lymphatic drainage, Brazilian body sculpting, Japanese head spa, infrared sauna, trauma body work, and fertility massage, all designed to support real goals like recovery, stress relief, and feeling better in your body day to day.
We also get practical about how local businesses earn trust, from consistent community presence to hundreds of client reviews, and why that matters so much in wellness. If you’ve ever wondered whether massage is “worth it,” how often to go, or what kind of care might fit your needs, this conversation gives you a grounded place to start.
Subscribe for more local stories, share this with a friend who keeps “powering through,” and leave a review to help more neighbors find the show. What would change for you if wellness stopped being an occasional splurge and became a monthly habit?
think. So today I do have the pleasure of introducing to you your good neighbor, Adriana Rogers with Boom Dia Massage and Wellness. How's it going today?
SPEAKER_01
It's going really well. Thanks, Deb.
SPEAKER_02
All right. Well, I'm excited to have this conversation. I'm not going to talk too much more. We're going to pass the mic back over to you so that you can share a bit about you and your business or audience, our listeners and viewers.
SPEAKER_01
Okay. Yeah, I'll get right to it. Thank you so much. So Bone Gia Massage and Wellness is located in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky. We have been in business since 2014. We are award-winning, have won Best in Northern Kentucky a few years in a row, including 2026. So that's really exciting. But our mission for our community is to really help people heal themselves. That's really what we focus on, is being kind of a unique location that people can come to to get that spa-like feel with actual therapy and healing. So we offer not only traditional massage therapy from relaxation to a more therapeutic approach, but we also do some other therapies. We have lymphatic drainage, Brazilian body sculpting, Japanese head spa, infrared sauna, trauma body work, and fertility massage as well. So we um definitely have a broad range of people that we can serve. And our approach is very personalized, and we really help our community of people reach their health care goals. So that's yeah, that's a little bit about us.
SPEAKER_02
A little bit about everything, but um multifaceted to address any and all wellness needs. Yes. Um, but curious though, again, obviously it's wonderful the services that you provide to the Northern Kentucky Greater Cincinnati
community. But how did you get into this business or line of work?
SPEAKER_01
Yeah, so um I've actually been in the healthcare industry since 2001. Um, but really my desire and kind of passion for massage therapy began even before that, um, kind of as a preteen. Um, I really wanted to help people, and I was always told that um I gave a good massage. So it was kind of one of those things that um even as a young child I wanted to go into. So um I went into the military first after high school and served four years in the Air Force and was able then to get um assistance from through the um through the military to be able to pay for massage therapy school. So I went to school after um my Air Force career and then have been practicing ever since. So um it's always something that um kind of has been in the background of helping people. Um, and then I've just kind of grown into that a little bit more, doing more trainings and almost 20 years of being a massage therapist.
SPEAKER_02
And and this is what I love about the show is that we do the Good Neighbor podcast to help businesses such as yourself have a voice and be able to reach the people, and you in turn provide so much help to those that are in need. This is also a time to potentially educate people because some people may not quite understand the wellness of the massage therapy industry.
So share with us maybe any myths or misconceptions about the industry or this work.
SPEAKER_01
Yeah, absolutely. There are definitely quite a few out there. Um, I would say probably one of the biggest ones is that um people think massage is just for emergencies. So just for that time when you like wake up with that crick in your neck or you threw your back out doing yard work. Um, but that's actually not true. Um, we believe and have seen um over the course of a couple decades in my career that massage therapy is actually part of your health care. So if you incorporate it into your into your monthly routine, um you tend not to have those emergencies because you've taken care of your body, you've taken care of your mental health kind of leading up to it. So those emergencies don't always happen. And then if they do, because you've done something excessive, um, you have a you have a therapist that knows you really well and that can help you effectively instead of like kind of starting um at ground zero. And then I would say like the other probably biggest misconception um would be that wellness services in general, and of course, massage therapy, is considered an indulgence. So this is like this once a year, it's my birthday, or it's our anniversary, or you know, those types of celebrations. And absolutely massage and and facials and like all of that is great for those, you know, celebrations, but um, it is absolutely um, I believe, crucial to helping um your mental well-being and your physical well-being throughout the year and not just for those special occasions.
SPEAKER_02
Thank you for that. I appreciate all the education for
the audience. But at the same time, what you do is very valuable, but marketing is the heart of every business so that you can connect with those ideal uh clients of yours. So, how do you target your clients? How do you attract them?
SPEAKER_01
Yeah, that's a great question. Um, with one of like this wonderful podcast that we're on right now is a great way to attract clients. Um, I think just building trust over the years is one of those things too. Um, we have hundreds of reviews on not only on Google, but also on our booking platform. Um so those continue to build trust with clients, word of mouth, of course. Um, you know, we do the typical um social media email campaigns, and um we also are in a local magazine. So, like just trying to stay in front of the audience um as much as possible to um reinforce that we are here for you, this is what we do, we're consistent, we're gonna be here in the long run.
SPEAKER_02
So, you certainly have a lot of resources that give people an opportunity to engage with you, educate uh on the services, but just curious. I mean, have you ever thought of your own podcast?
SPEAKER_01
I have uh been told that uh uh it would be something fun. So, I mean, maybe like of course, adding one more thing to your plate as a business owner.
SPEAKER_02
Um, but yeah, maybe it's always another opportunity, a different way to engage. So I just thought I'd throw that one at you. But uh let's have a let's have a little fun
right now. I mean, people buy from those that they know, like, and trust. And while we you've shared your value uh of what you can do to serve clients, but uh what do you do outside of work or for fun?
SPEAKER_01
Yeah, um, so that's actually something I've had to work at, believe it or not. Um, I tend to be one that likes to work, but um, I I do have a family. I have uh a husband and a daughter who's 13, and we have two dogs. So um I love to hang out with them and we take our dogs to the lake, and I love to go to the beach. Um, my mom has a condo in Florida that we love to visit. Um, and then I I love to read novels, so just kind of like taking um some time to myself at the end of the day and reading and just having some like you know, quiet time.
SPEAKER_02
All right. Well, thank you for sharing all of that. I can relate to some of those things as well.
Um, but Adriana, um, as we start thinking of bringing this to a close and leaving a final message for your listeners, what would be one thing that they should remember about Bombgia massage and wellness?
SPEAKER_01
Ooh, um, that's a great question. Um, I would say that we're not the cookie cutter um massage place that you might be used to going to. Um so if you're ready to heal and take care of yourself and you want to feel um heard and seen and supported in uh practice, then bone gia is for you.
SPEAKER_02
Wow, amazing. And how can listeners uh learn more about bone Gia?
SPEAKER_01
Um you can go to our website at bonegeamassage.com and our Facebook and Instagram pages, all are also bonegea massage. Um we we are pretty active on there. We have a blog as well that we share um tips and tricks, health um health related. And then, of course, if you have questions, feel free to call our office and we're happy to direct you um in the best way that we can.
SPEAKER_02
All right, so Adriana, this uh I really appreciate you being on the show. Uh, I want to wish you, your clients, your business the best moving forward.
SPEAKER_01
Absolutely. Thank you.
