He's making three requests here. 00:06:00.639 --> 00:06:09.360 One, that God would answer his prayers, that God would bring relief, and that God would be gracious to him. 00:06:11.360 --> 00:06:20.480 This plea, these pleas are made to the righteous God, and the God by whom righteousness is obtained. 00:06:22.000 --> 00:06:30.959 So this God who is righteous and then who gives righteousness because of what Christ did on the cross. 00:06:31.279 --> 00:06:50.319 If Christ did not die atoning for the sins of all those to come, and atoning for all the sins of those who had lived before, like Moses a drought going on or some other issue, it's clear that the people around David, his fellow leaders and countrymen, are dissenting against him. 00:13:23.039 --> 00:13:26.000 David and his response is men, and God's here to love you, God's here to give you good things, God's here to make you healthy and wealthy and to bring you comfort and peace so that you can be comfortable and have peace.
