Episode 29: Alcohol Fiend to Sobriety Queen with Connie McMillan
In this episode of the SHE RECOVERS podcast, Erin talks with Connie McMillan, author of "Alcohol Fiend to Sobriety Queen" and host of the Sober Sessions podcast.
Six years ago, tired of living the party life, depleting her bank account and being "everything to everybody all the time," Connie dropped the facade and began her journey to become 'Sobriety Queen Connie,' the recovery coach, author and mentor she is today.
Connie shares how some of her greatest heartbreaks - a failed marriage, her sister's incarceration and the death of her mother - became the catalyst for building the life she was meant to live. She also discusses the loneliness that often comes with early recovery and its importance in the process of "decluttering" your life to make room for new people and new experiences.
