mystery that Scripture says has been revealed to us through Jesus. 00:05:52.160 --> 00:05:55.920 So we love good mysteries, and today we have a mystery that, according to the Bible, has been solved. Bible, but to teach from the Bible, to really dive into Scripture. 00:06:04.720 --> 00:06:08.399 And so we're going through this section of Ephesians right now, just kind of verse by verse. about. 00:06:15.279 --> 00:06:20.319 Paul begins in Ephesians 1.3 by saying, Blessed be God who has blessed us with all the spiritual blessings. 00:06:20.399 --> 00:06:23.040 So that's why we're calling this study blessed. 00:06:23.279 --> 00:06:26.639 And then he begins to lay out for us what those blessings are. 00:06:27.040 --> 00:06:30.240 And they're not the kind of blessings we typically think of when we think about the word blessing. 00:06:30.319 --> 00:06:39.439 They're not like, oh, I had a lot of green lights on my way to work this morning and traffic was really light, blessings that are being described. 00:06:44.560 --> 00:06:46.240 These are spiritual blessings. 00:06:46.399 --> 00:06:55.600 These are powerful blessings, these are deep blessings that if we actually understand them and if we live in light of them, we live a blessed life no matter what our circumstances are. 00:06:56.079 --> 00:07:04.800 And I encounter people all the time, it's one of the privileges I have as a pastor, is I encounter people all the time going through things more difficult than the average person in the room could even imagine. 00:07:04.879 --> 00:07:07.279 And yet they have joy and they have hope. 00:07:07.600 --> 00:07:10.800 And it's because they have spiritual blessings. 00:07:10.959 --> 00:07:19.920 And they're living their life with their hope based on everything in heaven and on earth. 00:08:06.879 --> 00:08:11.199 Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we've received an inheritance from God. 00:08:11.600 --> 00:08:17.279 For he chose us
