Hello and welcome to Mythras Matters, a podcast dedicated to the Mythras ruleset and all its supplements. As always, I’m your host, inwils, and welcome to March!
Creating this podcast really makes me notice how quickly the months go by! It seems only yesterday that I was wishing you all a Merry Christmas and now we are in March and heading towards spring and Easter!
I’m sure I have told you all that I am made the hard decision to drop to being part-time at work so that I could concentrate on recovering from the various health issues I have been experiencing. This means that I am only at work for three days in the week and the rest is dedicated to creating content across a variety of platforms, including the Mythras content. You might be wondering why I am telling you this, well - I’m not sure I managed to create all the content when I was full time at work! I do really enjoy making content and I am honoured to be part of the Mythras crew! Although I still feel that time is flying by. Where does the time go!!
Anyway - In this episode, I don’t have time to waffle because we have a packed episode.
I have always known that we are all part of a fantastic community. I have to say that the Mythras community is one of the most supportive and welcoming communities I am a member of. In episode 33, I made a cry for help! If you haven’t listened to it then please do go and check it out. As well as my cry for help, the rules guru, Matt Egar, makes an appearance when he helps us understand the evasion skill - very helpful!
My cry for help was to do with Animists. As I created the Mythras rules videos the most requested video was for animists and, although I did create one, blundering my way through the spirit world, I never really had an understanding of what spirits and the spirit world actually provided for both the players and the GM. So I made a cry for help and got two excellent responses.
First here is Jon, the writer of a new adventure for Monster to provide some great ideas for setting up the cults for your animists.

What more can I say! I was completely blown away by the support from the community and huge thanks to both Jon and Raleel for their support.
I’m still working on my own idea for an animist. It will probably be ready for sharing in one of those episodes when I fly solo!
