Hello and welcome to Mythras Matters, a podcast dedicated to the Mythras ruleset and all its supplements. As always, I’m your host, inwils, and welcome to June.

As I am typing this script the sun is shining, the birds are singing and there is not a single cloud in the sky! Being a content creator and streamer, I am not that keen on being outside and less so when it is sunny - 18 degrees celsius is the highest temperature I can withstand, after that, I am sitting in front of the open freezer!

However, I do try and go out every day and have a walk. It continues to help my legs recover and allows me to gain some vitamin D and it always supports my mental well-being. I hate the walk, but I acknowledge the good it does me!

While I am walking I enjoy two tasks, the first is listening to audiobooks the second, thinking about ideas for adventures.

I noticed in the discord last week that there was a book shared that I have never heard of David Drake and the Northworld Trilogy - does anyone know if it is any good? I'm currently listening to the Dragonlance series. I remember these books when they were first published. I saved up to buy each of the books as they were published. These and the Lord of the Rings and the David Eddings Belgariad series were the books that filled my teenage years.

I also find that walking allows me to think about adventures. I usually start with a simple idea for my adventures, whether this would be an item, an encounter or even a person. From this I usually let my mind wander until ideas come to me. I quickly capture these in some way since I have learned from the past when I have had a great idea for an adventure, have not captured it and, to this day, I can't remember what it was all about.

As part of my Gibbering GM series, I'm working on a video summarising how I create my adventures so do look out for this. And, if you are a sci-fi fan then once we finish our current Destined adventure we will be blasting off into space with our M-Space campaign. I'm always surprised by how many products the design mechanism produces and I felt it was time to ask Lawrence back to share what is coming out in the future. I was lucky enough to see some of the copies of the new books and have to say the artwork looks excellent!

Anyway, let's see what we can expect to see coming to our shelves during the next months.
