Episode 427, The Andrew Parker Show: Love Him or Hate Him – He’s Got Guts
Donald Trump remains one of the most polarizing figures in American history—admired by some as a defender of democracy and vilified by others as a threat to it. In this episode, Andrew Parker takes a step back and reflects on the extraordinary moves of the Trump presidency: immigration enforcement, National Guard deployments, tariffs, energy policy, lawsuits against universities, fighting antisemitism, eliminating DEI, NATO accountability, direct diplomacy with global leaders, support for Israel, and the Abraham Accords.
Whether you view these actions as courageous or catastrophic, there’s no denying the scope and impact of Trump’s presidency. Andrew unpacks the guts, chutzpah, and controversy behind Trump’s decisions and what they mean for America, Israel and the world today.

Andrew Parker (00:00)
Welcome to another episode of the Andrew Parker show. Eight years and running radio and podcast over that time period. Go to theandrewparkershow.com to subscribe and follow us. ⁓ We'd love to have you join.
the big family of listeners that we have to the show. We talk about politics, Israel and the law each week, each episode I should say, and this week, no different.
I want to talk for a minute about take a step back and think about the time that we are living in.
with Donald J. Trump as the President of the United States. I dare say he is like no other. Love him or hate him. He is like no other. And love him or hate him. And there are those that have...
VIGOROUS
extreme.
strong views as it relates to Donald Trump on both sides of that.
divide loving and hating with equal vigor.
But, regardless of which side of that divide you are on, you have to admit that this president, is not only like no other, but has
extraordinary guts.
Kutzpa.
Now those who don't like him would use different words than that. But you know what I mean.
He goes headlong into things that those who don't like him claim are destroying our Republic, claim are tearing up, ignoring, undermining our constitution, claim are treasonous, seditious, that he's a fascist, that he's Adolf Hitler.
And those who do love them.
would say he is saving the Republic, in fact. He is saving democracy, the hero of democracy.
He is protecting as the number one priority.
the civilian population in the United States, our country, our citizens.
And he is taking action, bold action.
to create a prosperous, safe, healthy, constitutionally protected environment for everyone. That's the dichotomy. That's the difference in views.
So I just want to cover here in this short episode.
Some of the things he's done for you to reflect on because
You know, whether it's a pejorative or a positive, it's amazing.
what he has done in fairly short period of time.
I'm just gonna run through them in no particular order.
But big stuff, I mean, it's big stuff. ⁓ Immigration enforcement, you know, from building the wall that people mocked him over and it's a joke, et cetera, et to...
having protection, immigration officers, border patrol officers, multiples of what we used to have, and shutting down to not just a trickle, but to zero illegal crossings effectively into the United States from millions to zero.
the Biden administration saying it couldn't be done.
Or saying, we don't want to do it because these people need us and it's immoral to shut them down. So just let them in. Don't know who they are, but just let them in. Trump said no, that wasn't his policy. Whether you agree with it or not, he has.
been entirely successful.
in rendering the mass immigration down to near zero.
deploying the National Guard across the country to crime areas.
because the liberal left has set up a system that has allowed crime to run rampant.
This is in Trump's eyes, so what does he do? He deploys the National Guard. That is gutsy. mean, that is...
You know, rather than just talking about it.
He is actually doing it. Now people say, oh, it's a fascist, it's Nazi, it's what the...
The brown shirts being deployed in Nazi Germany in the thirties. That's what they did. And this is the beginning of the takeover of
It is there to protect, and that's what our government's number one priority is, safety and security.
So he has.
Done that using tariffs to level the playing field and creating a weapon.
that the world is paying attention to. Agree with it or disagree with it, be a free trader or not. Using a weapon like this as a blunt instrument. And we've noticed, you know, he has said a lot in public and he's backed off it. He has claimed a ⁓ significant percentage of tariff and then has, at the last minute, backed off it.
But gutsy. I mean, he has used this weapon like no other energy drill, baby drill, you know, environmentalists up in arms. He is saying this is a national security issue.
And he's trying to do it from an environmentally sound way.
gutsy, suing top colleges and universities in this country because of the cesspool that they have become.
fighting against anti-Semitism. If they're not gonna do it, as president, he's gonna do it. I mean, amazing, you don't see that, where the president is going into private institutions and saying, well, the weapon that I have is taking away federal funding from you. If you're okay with that, keep living in your cesspool. Otherwise, clean it up. That's effectively what he's doing.
and is cutting deals.
fighting antisemitism.
There are many other minority groups that we need to protect and fight for, but Jews?
More recently, at the point of the spear, the worst attacks of any. And they are effectively accepted over the pond in Europe.
as the horrific murder at synagogue on just a few days ago on Yom Kippur.
underscores, little was done in response. And what's a wonder that that sort of action has occurred when the Europeans make it open season on Jews by rewarding the heinous acts of October 7, recognizing a Palestinian state.
It's not just tone deaf, it causes the murder of Jews.
It's horrific.
Morgoth's The Bombing of Iran
giving an ultimatum and then on the very next day that the deadline is passed, taking action.
And sometimes...
Going in advance for the element of surprise.
How about going up against the Federal Reserve? Might be a bad idea.
firing board governors. But he did it, meeting directly with Putin. Other leaders haven't done it. Green light to Israel to defend itself. Joe Biden wouldn't have done it. He would have said don't. That was his policy.
Eliminating DEI. ⁓
I mean, these are all big moves.
deporting illegals in large numbers, sending out ICE to do their job, which had been ignored and millions had come here.
And our kids have been murdered. And there are a number of examples.
Not by ICE, by the immigrants that ICE is removing, who shouldn't have been here in the first place.
Follow the law.
Outlawing men and women's sports, having an open position on that subject. Agree with it or disagree with it. It's bold.
Demanding NATO to ⁓ pony up all the countries. It's been done.
Conflict upon conflict upon conflict that peace was never gonna come to Donald Trump has been involved in bringing it about Now I don't think that's gonna happen with Gaza Well with Hamas or the other Islamic radical terrorists that still
Roam amongst us.
And I call it radical Islamic terrorists because
The majority of terrorist actions around the world have been done in the name of Islam. It may be a bastardization of that religion.
but there is very little being done.
by quote unquote moderate Islamic leaders to end this. And the Islamic terrorism has only gotten worse. Call it the way it is. No, you can't say that. That's your Islamophobe. That's what you're.
The Islamic radical terrorist actions around the world have only increased.
and they far outweigh any other group. And nothing is being done about it within Islam.
And that is horrific. And it needs to change.
The Abraham Accords, moving the embassy, all of these things that Trump did that people said, ⁓ is blood going to run in the street because of that, including the bombing of Iran? It didn't happen. It hasn't happened on any of these examples. Regarding the Abraham Accords, regarding moving the embassy.
regarding recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
regarding supporting Israel when an existential threat has existed. ⁓
A thousand IDF soldiers have died.
since October 7th.
It's horrific. These are kids who will never go back to their families in a country that simply wants to live in peace and has since its very founding. And those who say otherwise are liars, period. They're revising history and changing it. Israel's arms continue to be open. And Donald Trump
recognizes that his position, his policy is not don't. As Joe Biden said, would Joe Biden have gone and attacked Fordo?
the deep underground nuclear facility in Iran, the way Donald Trump did? Would he have supported the elimination of the leadership of Hamas by the IDF? Would he have said the U.S. will support Israel in the elimination of Hamas altogether if they do not accept lock, stock and barrel this peace deal?
and I hope Trump doesn't back off that. No, he wouldn't have done any of those things and he would have continued to allow millions who we don't know who they are
into this country.
without a qualm.
So these are just a few examples of what Donald Trump, and there are many more, and I'm sure you're screaming, ⁓ you know, listing many, many more. ⁓ But those were a few that.
