We conclude our sermon series on the local church called "A Peculiar Unity" by looking at Ephesians 3:20-21 in a sermon titled "The Power and the Glory." There are times throughout history when having faith in Jesus has not been popular. Followers of Jesus face persecution and ridicule. It is easy to get discouraged and feel like being a Christian and being part of the church just isn't worth it. We wonder how much longer the church will exist in this crazy and messed up world. We see the secure confidence we have in God's power at work in the church for the glory of God. We are reminded that the church belongs to God and that nothing can stand against God's power and nothing can undercut the promises that God has made. I pray we will be emboldened to live out our "peculiar unity" through the gospel of Jesus Christ no matter what is going on in the world around us!
