Dealing With Doubts - Luke 7:1-35

When I was a Youth Pastor, I had a mom say to me that her teenage son was doubting his faith. I think my answer might have surprised her because I said "good"! It is good to know the truth about Jesus. It is good to learn bible stories and theological truths. But at some point each person has to answer the question of whether or not that person believes Jesus is the Son of God and the Savior of the World. This sermon looks at Luke 7:1-35 and is called "Dealing with Doubts." John the Baptist sends a message to Jesus with an important question. He asks if Jesus really is the Savior. This is an honest doubt, and John takes his doubt straight to the source and seeks truth. We see from the rest of this passage how the truth of who Jesus is helps us to deal with our doubts.
