The Comparison Trap - Luke 9:46-62

 Moms (and everyone) can often struggle with comparisons. We compare ourselves to people who seem better than us and we feel miserable. We compare ourselves with those we think we are better than to make ourselves feel good. We compare ourselves with our own distorted ideas of how life should go and can wrongfully think we are great or terrible based on these false comparisons. We get caught in a trap of defining ourselves and our worth in comparisons. This sermon looks at Luke 9:46-62 where we see some comparison traps that Jesus' followers were struggling with and how Jesus lovingly corrects them. The challenging and encouraging truth of this passage applies to mothers and to all of us.
