#26 Emotions are your Superpowers
Show Notes

Many people spend their lives ignoring, suppressing, or letting their emotions control them. But what if you looked at your emotions as indicators of what's happening in your self-sensory system? Emotions are tools to help you learn about yourself. If you work with challenging emotions at a safe, quiet time—like during meditation—they can give you insights about what's weighing you down and how to clear it. In this episode, I talk about my journey towards allowing my emotions to inform self-healing and self-knowing and encourage you to see them as the superpowers that they really are!

I highly recommend checking out GuruMeher Khalsa's work Senses of the Soul. There are free tools on the website, but you can also get his book to dive deeper into how you can work with—not against—your emotions.

Also mentioned in this episode:

  • Third Eye Science episode #1 in which I talk about my childhood as a sensitive, emotional kid in a family that didn't exactly know how to show emotions.
  • Third Eye Science episode #18 with Dr. Peg Capers.
