What's up, everybody? It's your favorite show, it's favorite show, get a bucket. I'm your host, Train as usual. Hope you're all having a wonderful, wonderful day. Today we're gonna talk about the most dominant WNBA team rosters in the history. But before we do that, please make sure to hit that like and subscribe button. And if you're wondering where you heard this before, that's because you've been listening with me Monday through Friday at 11 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. So I greatly appreciate your support. Now, told y'all, we're gonna talk about the most dominant NBA team rosters over the history. And we got a total of nine teams. Well, actually eight. Actually eight. But we could try to sneak in some other ones and talk about what they might need to do. Matter of fact, I might even say seven. Let's go top seven right now. Let's go top seven. We'll talk about some other teams that could do some things, right? But what are my criteria? Well, if you listen to my NBA dominant team roster, you kind of understand where I'm going with this one, right? But we're talking about the championship counts, we're talking about the finals losses, we're talking about the playoff losses, the missed playoffs, the win percentages during the regular season. Those are things to note, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. So with that being said, I told y'all we got seven of them things. We might sneak in two more teams. Let's talk

No. 7 Phoenix Mercury Peak

about it. So number seven, we got here the 2007 through 2009 Phoenix Mercury. Now, during this time period, right, they actually won two finals, did not lose in the finals, but they did lose. Well, huh? Interesting. They actually missed the playoffs. And keep in mind too, right? This this is when we had Diane Tarossi in her peak, right? Her peak powers, okay? Some people call her the GOAT, right? The white mamba, if you will. But the Phoenix Mercury pretty dominant, right? Winning 68% of their games. It's not like it's the best record that we've seen, but that's still pretty solid. I mean, you know, if this was school, maybe that's a D plus. But in a win percentage, that's pretty good. But again, they win a title, then they missed the playoffs, then they win another title. So like I don't like the fact they missed the playoffs in between these time periods. 07 is when they won the title, and 09, they missed it in 08. I don't quite like the miss the playoffs aspect. I wish they had actually made it to the playoffs, but can't cry over spilt milk. Hence why I have them at number seven. Solid team. Do miss them. But let's move on up because we gotta

No. 6 Seattle Storm Consistency

talk about more teams. We got stuff talked about. Number six, we got to bring up 2018 through the 2020 Seattle Storms. Now, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, they won two championships and they lost twice. But here's the reason why I put the Seattle Storm ahead of the Phoenix Mercury. So again, they won two titles, right? 2018 and 2020. The Storm won two titles. They lost in the second round. Let me say that again. They lost in the second round twice. Again, the Mercury, they missed the playoffs, ladies and gentlemen. That did not happen with the Seattle Storm. So when we're talking about dominance, we can bring up names all day. Sue Bird, Brianna Stewart, Jewel Lloyd. You know what I mean? They're cool. They're good people. Love them. But it's not because I like them that I put the storm ahead of Mercury. It's because they did not miss the playoffs. If they had missed the playoffs, maybe we have another discussion. But again, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, Seattle Storm, 2018 through 2020. They're my number 16 in terms of being the most dominant WNBA team roster in the history. So now that we've talked about seven and six, six is preight to seven. Six, seven. I'm sorry. It's just the times, ladies and gentlemen. It's the times. Let's move on up to number five.

No. 5 LA Sparks Finals Edge

2001 through 2003, LA Sparks. My Sparks was out there sparking. You understand me? Like we was out there doing some stuff, bro. Hear me out, okay? We win two titles. We lose one. You know, we lost one in the finals. We did. And then we lost one outside of the finals. So that does hurt, you know, but conference finals is not a bad loss. That's not a bad loss. And that's the reason why I have my sparks higher than the storm. Again, I gotta say my sparks because I want to let y'all know I'm not being biased when I say this. We went to the finals more times than the Seattle Storm, and we got the same amount of championships. I think in that capacity, the person who has gone to the finals the most should be the winner. As a team, if we're talking about individuals, that's another discussion for another day. As a team, that factors in. But also, remember, I told y'all, they lost the storm, they lost in the second round twice. My Sparks lost in the finals and the conference finals. Yes, both teams were losers them seasons. But the further you go, the more credit you do get to be clear. So again, when we're talking about most dominant WNBA team rosters, I gotta put the 2001 through 2003 Los Angeles Sparks, my Sparks, ahead of the 2018 through 2020 Seattle Storm and the 2007 through 2009 Phoenix Mercury. But if you got a gripe about that, let me know. But we're gonna slide on up to that 14.

No. 4 Detroit Shock Three Rings

We got that 14, ladies and gentlemen, which is 2003 through 2008 Detroit Shock. Holla at me. All right. Now, some of y'all don't know about the shock like that, ladies and gentlemen. I know, I know, I know you're pretty shocked at the shock being up here. Okay. But keep in mind, ladies and gentlemen, okay, they won not one, not two, not well, they did win three. I thought I was on, I thought I was part of the Heat team right there for a second. They won three titles, ladies and gentlemen. Three titles, lost one in the finals, and then lost two in the conference finals. Now keep in mind, all right, this team consisted of Swing Cash, Cheryl Ford, Deanna Nolan. Like we got a couple teams, we got a couple players here on the list, but Swing Cash was probably their best player a lot of the time. All right, keep that in mind, okay? And again, winning three championships, ladies and gentlemen, that's nothing to scoff at at all whatsoever. So I gotta give a tip of the cap to the Detroit shop for doing what they did. Because again, winning three titles, they're above my sparks because they have more championships. Now, let's say if they did not do that, right? Like, what happens if they did not do that? I don't know. Maybe we have a different discussion. But right now, I gotta put Detroit ahead of my sparks. And I hate this too, because as a Lakers fan, I just hate having to give Detroit any credit because they really did mess up my team. I'm going off on the soapbox. My bad. That's the NBA. My fault. We're gonna stick with the WNBA. So again, 2003 through 2008, Detroit shock. Again, they win 2003, they won it in 06. Then they won it in 2008. Like, I swear to you, bro, if we if my Sparks won one more championship, I would have had to put them ahead of the shock. Because you gotta remember too now, my Sparks did win back to back in 01 and 02. All right, so I just want to throw that out there. And we did have like the second best record all time in WNBA, which is 28 and four. I'm just saying. Like, that would have made me put them ahead, but Detroit Shock got it right now. Let's move on up to number three, ladies and gentlemen.

No. 3 Las Vegas Aces Run

Now we have the 2020 through present Las Vegas Aces. And I say present because they could still keep going, which is crazy when you think about it. But we're talking about here three championships, one finals loss, and two losses outside of the finals. They win in 2020, they lost in the semifinals in 21, they won in 2022 and 2023, back-to-back, right? 2024, semifinals loss, and then 2025, they won the title. So if they can win this year, too, I'd be, it'll be interesting to see how much they move up, if at all. Because again, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, this look, the aces are pretty smooth, right? They got Asia Wilson, right? We know Jackie Young, we can know Chelsea Gray. They've had they've even had Candace Parker at one point in time. They had Kelsey Plum. They had a lot of talent on their team. So, ladies and gentlemen, when I'm looking at this Aces squad, the fact that they're third in terms of being the most dominant WNBA team roster in history, that's pretty crazy. And again, they're still going. They are still going, bro. That is ridiculous. So, looking forward to seeing what these aces do over time. But right now, I gotta keep them at third. And I told y'all, if my Sparks had won, right? Back to back, or had won one more championship, I would have moved them past the Detroit shock. My Sparks against the Aces, that's a tough conversation. Because they would have had three titles, one finals loss, and then the Aces would have lost more outside of the finals. And I told y'all, if you get to the finals, that does matter. But if you lose in the playoffs, you know, I could have made a case for my Sparks being number three. But again, I can't. Both teams did win back to back. Kudos 2022, 2023 for the for the Aces, right? Good stuff. Gotta keep you at number three. But let's see what happens because there's there's more time with this roster. Now, we got to move it up to number two.

No. 2 Minnesota Lynx Era

Could we just talk about the third most dominant WNBA team roster, right? Uh number two, most dominant WNBA team roster. We got to talk about 2011 through 2017, Minnesota Lynx. These girls is out here actually. Nice. And here's where it kind of gets a little controversial, ladies and gentlemen. Here's where it kind of gets a little controversial. Because, well, the Lynx won four titles, right? Then they lost twice in the finals. Then they lose once outside of the playoffs. I mean outside of the finals during this stretch. So that's four championships, two finals losses. So that's a that's a four and that's four out of six championships right there. That's crazy work, really seven. But again, because they made it to the finals. That's why I'm thinking about it, right? But they went in, they went in 2011. They went to the finals in 2012, they won it in 2013, went to the conference finals in 2014, went to the won the title in 15, lost the title in 16 to my sparks, by the way, which I did go to game three. That was an hey bro, that was a good time to be alive, I promise you. 2017, these girls inside of hand won the title again, and they beat my sparks. I was so disgusted, so hurt, but they had to get their get back. And again, I'm not too too mad at it because when I think about it, again, this is the second most dominant WNBA team roster in history, winning four championships. There's only two teams, ladies and gentlemen, that have four championships, to be clear. So when I'm looking at that, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, you can't be so mad at that. And keep in mind, this had Maya Moore, Lindsay Whalen, Sylvia Fowles, like, bro. The team was crazy. The team was ridiculous. I I was happy that we got one against them, honestly. I was very happy. So that again, if you I'm happy we got one, that should say a lot right there against this team. Because when we're looking at if Maya Moore doesn't leave the game, she arguably would have been the GOAT, to be clear. That's why people are so high on Juju Watkins right now, because she has a comparison to Maya Moore. So we're looking forward to seeing how Juju performs in the WNBA. And again, that's partly because of how this Lynx team looked. So for number two, most dominant WNBA team roster, I gotta have it as 2011 through 2017 Minnesota Lynx. Now, here's where I said it, like I said, it gets a little controversial, right? It can get a little controversial, ladies and gentlemen.

No. 1 Houston Comets Standard

Because my number one team, the 1997 through 2000 Houston Comments. Now they won four titles, didn't lose in the finals. But I will throw a little caveat because they did, I want to say, lost in 2001. I guess they did lose in the conference semifinals. So I'll I'll extend the I'll extend this just to help out a little bit for the Lynx, okay? But the way I look at this is I almost want to put the Lynx ahead of the comments because again, they have gotten to more finals appearances, okay? There is something about that undefeated notion, though. I'm not gonna lie to you, there is something about that for sure. But four in a row, that's why I gotta put them ahead of the links. Again, they both have four titles, but back-to-backs really truly do matter to me. And I mean, you know, Lynx were cool. They never won back to back. Never won back to back, had good records for sure. They had an 82.4 win percentage during one of their seasons, and that's when they lost to my sparks. Talk to me, you know what I'm saying? But Houston Comets, yeah, they got an 84% win percentage and they won. They got an 81% win percentage and they won. They had a 64% win percentage and they won. They also had a 90 win percentage and they won. That's the best record in WNBA history, ladies and gentlemen. 27 and 3. I understand that they only played 30 games and now there's 40 plus going on. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the best record in WNBA history. If we're talking about percentage-wise, too. So again, four titles in a row, and the win percentage that they did, they were dominant. Keep in mind, too, ladies and gentlemen, we're talking about Cynthia Cooper, who some people have as the GOAT as well, too. We had Tina Thompson, which, if you know, you know. Cheryl Swoops. Like, if you don't know these players, ladies and gentlemen, these are Hall of Famers. These are Hall of Famers. And they were out here kicking tail, getting a bucket, busting down everything that they could to win these championships. So I gotta put the Houston Comments as the most dominant WNBA team roster. And I I could I I can go talent for talent and say, oh, I think this team should be better than this team. I'm going off for production. Because also, we got to think about the longevity

Who Could Join This List

piece, right? The Lynx, they made it a conversation because they won four titles. That's what a team like the Aces could do. Imagine if the Aces win a title, another one, right? Or even two more. What do we do with that now? They have five rings then, one loss in the finals, and two outside of the playoffs. Do they surpass the Comments as the most dominant WNBA team roster? How about other teams too? Like we got the 2023 through 2026 New York Liberty. They won a championship 24. They went to the finals in 23 and lost, and then they got knocked out the first round last season in 25. They have to make the finals to be included with the Sparks and Storm. But imagine if they win off two more championships. Well, that takes the Aces out of contention for a little bit. And now the Liberty might actually vault on up. Imagine having 3-1 and 1. I don't know. And you split the series two in the final, that that could be a little interesting to watch. I'm not gonna lie to you. Or how about the Minnesota Lynx? Now keep in mind 2024 through 2026. That's or present day, I guess. Same for the Liberty, but present-day Lynx. They have not won a title. Okay. They did get to the finals in 2024, they lost. And then they lost in the second round. But they've had pretty good records. Now, they need to win the finals in order to even catch up with the Liberty. But with the with their current roster and the way they're playing, imagine if they win three straight. Now we got to talk about them versus the Minnesota Lynx from 2011 through 2017. Also, we got to talk about the Lynx organization as the best organization in the WNBA's history. But this roster, though, if they can start rattling off some championships, which they have the capability to do so, I think that could be pretty interesting. So we do have two teams that could make this title, that could make this most dominant WNBA team roster list right now. They just gotta start winning championships. And that's easier said than done, too, ladies and gentlemen. Liberty have a really good roster. No guarantee they're gonna get to the second round or championship. Because of health. Minnesota Lynx have a really good roster. Maybe I might even be title favorites. There's no guarantee that they
