We will receive five crowns at the Great White Thrown Judgment.

SPEAKER_00

Hello, brothers and sisters. I'm just Joe No Tidal, and thank you for joining me for the Lord's Word of God today. Today we're gonna learn about the five crowns that we will receive at the great white throne judgment. Please turn with me to the book of 1 Corinthians, chapter 9. The first crown we're gonna look at is the incorruptible crown. And we'll start reading in verse 24. Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown, but we do for an incorruptible crown. And so the incorruptible crown is given to us for mastering over the sinful nature. Next we will look at the crown of righteousness. Turn with me to the book of 2 Timothy, chapter 4. And Paul says, reading from verse 6, For I am already poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord the righteous judge will give to me on that day. Not just to me only, but to all who loves his appearance. The crown of righteousness is for living righteously in this world. Next we will look at the crown of life. Turn with me to the book of James, chapter 1, and we'll read verse 12. Blessed is the man who endures temptation. For when he has been tried, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those who love him. For what is our hope or joy? Or a crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? For you are our glory and joy. And this is Paul talking to the Thessalonians. The crown of rejoicing is a joyful crown for leading others to Christ. And last is the crown of glory. Turn with me to the book of 1 Peter, chapter 5, and we'll start reading verse 1. The elders who are among you, I exhort. I who am a fellow elder and a witness of the suffering of Christ. Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving an overseer, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly, nor as being lords over those who are entrusted in you, but being examples to the flock. And when Christ the Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade. And so crown of glory is given to us for fulfilling our calling, finishing the work assigned. And those five crowns will be made into one crown. And as the elders throw their crowns to the foot of Jesus and praise his name and give him glory, you and I will do the same.
