Speaker 1:

Welcome to episode 11 of the Providence Marketing show. I'm your host, Ryan Jennings, also the executive director of the buying New Zealand made campaign and have been now for exactly one year and one day. And we've done a huge amount of shift with what the campaign does. One of the biggest has been the videos that we've focused on and we're going to come back to that in terms of what we've done with New Zealand made music. Uh, but one of the first things I want to cover is the certificates of the license that we print and send to each New Zealand made business. And these are the bike templates that will be going out this year. Uh, our renewal year starts every July the first, so that date is very important and we are very busy during that time. So by then we have to have the names of the companies, the expiry date, their unique license number, uh, as well as their customer, your owl, which is a place you can find all of their verified products. We have to have all of that on here for over 1200 businesses. And this year we've added a little touch. I don't know if you can see that in the top right hand corner there, but we've added a little commemoration for those businesses who have been with the campaign for a long time. Uh, so anyone who's over 10 years or over 20 years or 25 plus years, we'll be getting a specific certificate that has been, uh, embedded with foil to celebrate their continuous time supporting and manufacturing in New Zealand right at next up. Something a little bit more fun. The brand new or brand new to us. So this skinny fizzy drink has just been, just been announced. It's a rather new business there. Now I certified official New Zealand made license holder. They do three flavors. The lemon, the raspberry, which is this one here. I'll kind of like the front on this. I like how they've done the, the, the um, everything's like a stickman, but these are stick raspberries. And then the third one as line, good little designs, nice and light, which reflects what's inside the product. So this is the, the lemon one here. And I know that those just, I had one before we started here. It's a nice light touch of lemon. Predominantly you're getting fizz. Um, it's basically a sparkling water with a touch of flavor and that touch a flavor means it doesn't taste like water anymore. But most importantly the sugar content is way, way down in these things. If you look on the back, you can see some very small printers and if you can pick that up and a, but the, the sugars there says 0.2 grams per serving, that's tiny. If you were to compare that to let's say one of New Zealand's favorite iconic drinks like LMP that's weighing in at over 30 grams of sugar per can. So if you're looking to reduce your sugar content but you can't get away from the cabinet or drinks, skinny Fez I think is going to do very, very well in New Zealand and you could be seeing this in every dairy around New Zealand in pretty quick time. The pricing is pretty competitive. Actually.$15 for a dozen of these cans from the websites, skinny firs. Dot. Co. Dot. Nz and stock up your fridge at work at home. Next up is a personal project that, um, I authored this book just over a year ago and it's been published. It's in most good libraries around New Zealand's, you don't have to buy it, but it takes in the interviews of a hundred CEOS and business owners in New Zealand that I undertook to boil down the nine Kiwi success navigators that all businesses could use to guide their path forward. So this has a ton of resources Becht on actually real insight from real business owners who are doing it if we died. Uh, but just open up to a page here. This is one on creating and capturing value. A lot of artists in here. So creativity and New Zealand defining artistic creativity. David Trubridge, he's done an amazing job. There's um, David how DHD architecture in New York. He's built over six skyscrapers, amazing foresight, a strata group with guy. Lethbridge has done a lot of the, uh, rebuild engineering work for old buildings that need seismic strengthening. There's a ton of people in here doing some amazing things. Uh, so if you're looking for inspiration, this is, this could be a place that you want to go. Um, a lot of people said to me when this book came out, Hey Ron, you know, it's this way is two kilos until you have something that's on audio book. And the answer was no. A year later I've recorded the hundred and 20,000 words, narrated it all myself. So it's in my voice. If you like that, great. If you don't, then you're probably not going to like the audio book and it's now available on audible, New Zealand's weird business future. We the you're starting a new business or are already at the helm of a fourth generation Kiwi business rarity. The one thing we can all agree to is the 21st century is shaping up to be a whole lot different to the 20th century. Potable set the price at around$28 us. But if you sign up for an audible subscription, you can listen, download and listen to that book for free. So I'm going to put the link up on the screen. It is bit.ly forward Slash Kiwi business audio book. So that's bit dot Lee Ford Slash Kiwi business audio book that will get you access to the audio book for free as long as you sign up for an audible account. If you do want a copy of the book as well to see the photos in it, uh, as well read along with the text, you can do that at Kiwi, a business, kiwi.com. So, uh, that may be something that you're interested in. Um, last step for today is a little bit of focus. I, I alluded to this at the start on New Zealand made music. We're a big supporter of musicians in New Zealand and believe that creativity should be part of business, not separate from it. So when we created the making it New Zealand series, we featured New Zealand musicians and we paid them for it. And that was deliberate because musicians deserve to be paid just like anyone else for their work. So if you go through any of our making it New Zealand episodes, certainly the first 30 you'll find a ton of brand new New Zealand music from up and coming at us
