Bill Hemmer currently serves as co-anchor of FOX News Channel’s (FNC) America’s Newsroom (weekdays, 9-11 AM/ET). Hemmer joined the network in 2005 and is based in New York.
As one of the network's lead breaking news anchors, Hemmer has provided extensive live coverage of several major stories throughout his nearly 20 years with FNC, including every election cycle since 2005. On Inauguration Day 2025, Hemmer contributed to the extensive coverage live from Washington, D.C. commentating on President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect J.D. Vance being sworn into office. Additionally, he contributed to the extensive coverage of the attempted assassination of former President Donald J. Trump, the 2024 Republican National Convention, and President Biden’s withdrawal from his candidacy in the 2024 election. In March of 2024, Hemmer traveled to the North Pole with the U.S Navy to report on military operations in the region. Additionally, he spent 24-hours aboard the USS Hampton, a Los Angeles-class nuclear submarine. Previously, Hemmer analyzed real-time results on the electronic "Bill-board" for both the Iowa Caucuses and the New Hampshire Primary ahead of the 2024 race to the White House. In November 2022, Hemmer contributed to FNC's midterm election coverage and previously provided live coverage on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, anchoring breaking news from network headquarters. In 2021, he reported live on January 6th as rioters mobbed the United States Capitol building in Washington, D.C. Additionally, he contributed to FNC’s Democracy 2020 election coverage, breaking down the results on the eponymous "Bill-board," which garnered the highest ratings for election night coverage in cable news history with 14.1 million total viewers. In March 2020, Hemmer co-moderated a town hall with then-President Donald Trump and leading members of the White House Coronavirus Task Force.
