A tiny settings menu can be the difference between “this port is rough” and “wait, this feels like I’m playing a Star Wars movie.” We start with what we’ve actually been playing on Switch 2, including Red Dead Redemption as a proof point for how good a well-tuned classic can feel on modern hardware. Then we get hands-on with Star Wars Outlaws, calling out the visual quirks that can ruin first impressions on a handheld and the simple changes that clean it up, especially film grain off and letterboxed film mode for a more cinematic look.
From there we zoom out to the bigger question: why are we all so angry about games lately? We talk about the gap between social media pile-ons and real playtime, and how “good for the money” is sometimes the most honest review category. Along the way we check in on what’s clicking (Wolverine’s pace and presentation) and what still needs time to land (Crimson Desert combat and deeper systems), plus the strangely relaxing pull of Farming Simulator once a proper British and Northern Ireland map shows up.
The news run brings the industry into focus: Obsidian shifting under the Bethesda group and what that might signal for future Fallout projects, the long silence around Elder Scrolls 6, and the uncomfortable reality of studio reshuffles. We also dig into PS6 rumors, from teraflops talk to ray tracing expectations, AI upscaling, a potential handheld companion, and the big one: price. We close with Nintendo news as Metroid Dread physical copies spike past $100 after Metroid Ravenous hype, raising the collector bubble question yet again.

Cold Open And Weekly Setup
SPEAKER_01Hello, and welcome to the unofficial controller podcast, your weekly gaming podcast, episode number 337 with me, George, and this week joined by RGT. He's PS6 to my Solo Stacks. Now, you might think, oh George, that's probably one of the worst jokes you've ever pulled out of the bag, but just hang around a little bit because we've got some PS6 news coming up. We've got some Xbox Bethesda rearrangement story and some Nintendo news on top of that. So why don't you just stick around, park yourself as I turn to my co-host, the wonderful RGT, who's looking very fine, very delicately coiffoured today. He's got a new haircut and he's coming out He's coming out of the closet, gaming closet, to declare his his independence on various different platforms we never thought he would go for. RGT, how's it going?
SPEAKER_03Good. Um I wasn't sure about this coming out of the gaming closet. That's caught me on the hop a bit, but I'll roll with it, you know, as I do every week. So uh yeah, but I'm good. How are you?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, like an alligator in the death throes. That's what I imagine you rolling with it looks like.
SPEAKER_03Very similar, yeah. Very similar.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's going well. I feel a little bit tired this week, so hopefully that doesn't convey into the show, and people can maybe stick around to see how many times I slip up on my own teeth. Um, why don't you make it a drinking game? Right? Let's make some fun interactivity here. Every time I slip up, um, you get to probably down uh a couple of shots of scotch. It's for the kids. Show's always been for the kids. You can down a bit of your juicy, bit of your mum's lactate, whatever it takes, right, for this game to work. I'm all for it. Um you're doing well? Yes, very well, yes, thank you.
SPEAKER_03Still in a bit of a rough state room, but it's getting there. You said it'll be creepy.
SPEAKER_01So am I now judging the finished article?
SPEAKER_03No. No, I've I've only got one side done, and then hopefully next week you'll see a new backdrop.
SPEAKER_01Right, so you so you're a week late like a terrified teenager? Right, fine. Okay.
Red Dead Redemption On Switch 2
SPEAKER_01I suppose we ought to leave the debauchery behind and step forward uh as the show dictates, where I ask you this gaming week, what have you been playing?
SPEAKER_03Red Dead Done, got that finished on the Switch 2.
SPEAKER_01The man who finishes games.
SPEAKER_03T-shirt idea. Um might have been done. Um yeah, Red Dead Redemption, great port on there on the Switch 2. Can't fault that at all. Really enjoyed playing, um, very smooth, frame rate superb. Um still find that ending quite powerful. Um, I put on our Discord, you know, Bravo Dan Hazer, because you you know how to write a script, and that gets you at the end, and then you get your uh Did Dan see it? No, um, and then I I still won't spoil it even though it's a what 16-year-old game, I would imagine now. Um, but yeah, really enjoyed playing it again. I mainlined it pretty much. I'd only done a couple of um side quests, so it took me about 20 hours, I think, 18-20 hours, so you can do it fairly, fairly quickly.
SPEAKER_01But may I may I interject? Because compared to Red Dead 2, the overworld does feel a little bit barren, doesn't it? You've got the horseshoe things to do, and that's really about it, isn't it?
SPEAKER_03You've got horseshoe, I think you've got poker poker, um, and then there's you know just the odd splattered about side mission. Um, obviously it was because of the generation it was on. Um, but even so, I know the switch two port has got the 60 FPS and the 4K, but actual character models and that still look good. Often worst character models on game and modern games. Um, I mean you look at the horse models and that, they were doing that on Gen 7, they look fantastic, the horses and that. But really good game. I loved playing it again. And the weird thing was when we I can't remember if I said this on the show, when we um done the vote for this game and we done Balladagay Tony, we done Lost and Damned, we done GTA 5, and we done Red Dead. And I was thinking, oh, I've already played Red Dead through two or three times, don't really want to play it again. That got voted in. I thought, oh, got in the first two or three missions. I was like, yeah, no, that's there's a lot I haven't remembered here, so that's good to refresh and play. And absolutely loved it. Brilliant, brilliant game.
SPEAKER_01And one of the highlights is where you kind of um you go off and you kind of it's early on, but you round up a load of cattle or whatever it is, and you golf a bonnie, yeah. Yeah, that always felt really good to me. I always wanted more of that.
SPEAKER_03Well, I also found that I used to have so much trouble with that with the cattle when I was on the PS3. I hated those missions. This time it was a walk in the park. So whether that is to do with the upscaling of frames, or whether it's the controllers or whether they've dumbed it down a bit for the more modern games.
SPEAKER_01No, I I've I never struggled with it. I think if you just follow the kind of critique of what they give you to do, and you stay.
SPEAKER_03You stay behind and just nip the ones in that run off, you know, that was it.
SPEAKER_01Like real life, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, yeah. So yeah, really enjoyed it. I'd recommend it to anyone. Um, like I say, if you get the the switch port and then you can upgrade it on your switch to um, but they do a I think the PS5 port is on plus, I believe. I believe it was a free port. I might be wrong on that. Comment down below. Um, let us know.
Star Wars Outlaws Settings That Fix It
SPEAKER_03Um, but other than that, I have started a new game on my Switch 2, which you'll be proud of me, George. I've started Star Wars Outlaws.
SPEAKER_01Oh my good friend, and you hate it or you love it?
SPEAKER_03Um, I'm only about two or three hours in.
SPEAKER_01Um right, it's quite limited at first, isn't it?
SPEAKER_03I've done what you said, I took the film grain off to start with because I was getting some really bad like light and artifact and then pop in, and I was thinking, oh, this is sometimes you you're in an interior space and that's like a red light or some green light and looks really good. And I think quite this looks brilliant on the switch too. And you walk around the corner and someone pops in and there's a light flickering and your shadows dancing up the wall, and I was like, oh. But I turned the film grind off, which helped a bit, but then I think I found where that needs to be. That game, if you go into your settings and put it into the letterboxed film mode, yeah. Oh, that is and it looks just like a Star Wars movie. Yeah, it really it feels like you're playing a movie, yeah. And I thought, oh, this is a game changer, have a Nat. I'd never I'd always want full screen before. No, I always play it like that, and it feels like a movie, it really does.
SPEAKER_01Um I also think it gives the it's less to render.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that's a great point, yeah. Actually, yeah, you're bringing it under a smaller screen, so that's yeah, yeah, good point. But um, overall, first experience, um, uh quite enjoying that. I think the story so far is quite good. Um it the only time it feels Ubisoft is some of the sort of platforming's a bit clunky. I find that a bit Gen 7 sort of thing. Um, but again, in my own mind, that's because this is like a 70s movie or an early 80s movie, and that that sort of fits in. I know that's crazy, that's just me, you know, making allowances for bad game control. But other than that, um I wouldn't I don't mean this is a disrespectful, but it doesn't feel like a Ubisoft game. It feels like a Star Wars product, it feels in the Star Wars universe, the sound effects are good. Yeah, um yeah, I'm really enjoying it so far. Um, I'm looking forward to playing some more over the coming week um and getting deeper into the story. I think it's it's a bit of a mixture of one minute, you think you're a bit linear with what you're doing a little bit, and then you're in an open world bit. Um I think it's great going across the map and finding your next target point for your mission.
SPEAKER_01And um are you on the wind planet now?
SPEAKER_03No, no, no. I'm still early in. I'm just in the I've come out of the main city bit, and you sort of then have to make your decision between the two factions who you sort of which decision you go with Crimson is it crimson Crimson Dawn and the other guys, Pike. Is it Pike?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, the Pike Syndicate.
SPEAKER_03I've sort of sided with Crimson Dawn a bit, and I've now gone over to get some parts to get my ship built in that little village which is out of the main city bit. Um, so I'm now ahead and doing missions there, but really good. Um great port, amazing to have on a handheld device or hybrid device. So you've got that on the handheld as well. You can just pop that out and play on the couch. I think again, it's brilliant, massive game to play um in handheld mode. Um, absolutely love it. What about you, George? Have you uh popped out and played on the couch?
SPEAKER_01I've popped it out, played it on the couch, massive two-handed job when you take it in handheld mode. Absolutely, it is RGT, yeah. Um I mean, talk about speak yourself up, but at the same token, yeah, what a great game. And like I say, I played it on PS5 Pro, letterbox mode. Um, I think I turned the film grain off there as well. Playing on the Switch 2. I was a little bit like, oh Crikey, put it in letterbox mode, as you said, took the film grain off, and all of a sudden, either on the big screen or in handheld mode, it's it's it's totally okay, and it takes some of the weird artifacting, as you said, away, and then it kind of gives you the chance to just sit back and enjoy the game. There are moments of pop-in in the open world if you're absolutely gunning it on the speeder bike, um, but for the most part, you stop the bike, you get off, and the tall grass is waving around your legs, and you know, it's a pretty impressive port for the Switch 2. I wish I could say the same about graphically as um Assassin's Creed Shadows. But I've got that next to play, but it doesn't look as good as this, but they are running on different engines. So, I mean, I've got that say for a rainy day, I like to have um some big games. I've still got indie to go back to. Um, I'm in that open world area where you're kind of using your little speeder boat to to get around and investigate different things, and I thought, right, okay, we'll rest it there. Um, I don't know how far through I am at that point, probably 75%, maybe a bit less. Um, but no, um, in terms of what I've been playing, if uh if it's my turn to Well, I was just gonna quickly say Oh, there's more.
SPEAKER_03I was just well, no, I went no more games. I was just gonna say about Star Wars Outlaws. Um, you know, I had mixed reviews when it came out. Don't get me wrong, this game isn't perfect. What games are nowadays, it's not perfect, but in a world of negativity around gaming at the moment, um sometimes I mean I picked this up brand new on a deal for 20, I think it was £25 virtual key card, so as close to physical as you can get at the moment. Um, and I think for that money, this is a really good game. It's a game worth playing. You've if you like Star Wars, if you if you're a Star Wars fan, I think it's a must-play because they have nailed 100%. There's I've played other Star Wars games, you don't quite feel you're in the Star Wars universe. This does the characters, the the setting, the towns, the cities that I've been to. You think, oh yeah, I do like this. They've they've nailed the atmosphere and how people work and you're getting jobs, and you know, it's all very good, but it's just a very good game, it's it's cheap to pick up, and I'd I'd recommend it. You know, it's it's again with like the Wolverine. When we've gone back to we were talking about that last week, and that's been absolutely slated. Probably 50% of the people haven't even actually played the game, they're just going off by what's said on social media. But actually, when you play the game, it's just a really good game, you know, it's it's it's not perfect either, but again, what is but yeah, let's just take gaming back, let's just get these games and just enjoy them for what they are. They've all got their own little quirks and their own little glitches, but just play the games and enjoy them and have fun with it. That's what it's all about at the end of the day, the hobby. So Star Wars Outlaws has really made me realise that, and I thought, yeah, do you know what? Just enjoy gaming again. But what you've been playing anyway, I went off a bit
Wolverine And Crimson Desert Progress
SPEAKER_03of a ramble.
SPEAKER_01I'm all for that. No, you're absolutely right, and you know, I'm glad that you've kind of arrived uh on your own steam to the same sort of impressions I had when the game launched. Um playable Wolverine, took the story forward. I'm over halfway through. I'm doing some bits in Japan, I think it is, and I've got through to the end section of that. So been playing that through with Rachel, she's been really enjoying like the story and the visuals, uh, and also the gameplay, really. Watching the gameplay has been like quite uh interesting to her, so I'm looking forward to getting stuck back into that. Again, no complaints from me, it's got good pace. The story so far has worked for me, and I'll always say this: I'm not a Marvel nerd, I don't have every Wolverine comic, I'm not overly invested in Wolverine anyway, but as it presents to me, I've really enjoyed it. Um or I'm enjoying it, probably get that finished over this week. Crimson Desert. Been playing a bit more of that. I've got my um camp together, I found my remaining um colleagues, and we've we've set our camp up and we've got people sort of working round there. Also went on a mission to um rescue one of the latter guys or um woman and another guy, and um I ended up fighting someone called like the Reed King or something like that, it was like this ghostly apparition who just appears out of thin air, and um his followers appear, and you've got to sort of fight them, they come out of nowhere. And there's a really great section where you're going up this sort of mountain, and there's these like maypoles almost like windmills that spin round across the crops above the crops, the reed fields, uh, and they kind of appear around those. I mean, they looked fantastic, got these little um red, blue, and yellow streamers on as it whips through the wind, and it's it's really quite evocative. And then when his followers appear, it starts to spin round a bit more. And I was thinking, is that making them appear? So I was taking those down, and I think it maybe does stop them coming. You get to the top of the mountain, and you realise this guy's like the lost son of the lord or something like that, who got betrayed, and he's like come back as this kind of apparition, and you fight him. Good job. I went up there with a knapsack of food because I'll tell you one thing, mate. I munched through probably enough food to keep a family alive fighting that guy. Um the the fighting isn't quite clicking for me, really. But I'm enjoying the story and all the associated things around it. Plus, I'm early doors, and you know, he taught me. I learned from him a couple of moves, so I was like, right, okay, that'll build my repertoire up. But I keep seeing these things on YouTube, and they're like um 15 things you didn't know that you need to know, and it's like I watch it and it's like I didn't know you could do that. Oh, I didn't know you could do that. How do I get that? Then you have to like do something with someone to see that happening so you can learn that skill. And then one guy was saying, Oh, don't sleep on talking to this guy because you need to do some like stamp, like brewing with this bloke, and then that unlocks other parts of your um abilities wheel. I was like, geez, Louise, like some guys like 200 hours in, it's only just clicked for me. It's like 200 hours the hell. Um, so I know I'm barely scratching the surface, it's a little bit more surface level than I uh initially thought. Like the NPCs are kind of like on a path more than you thought. You know, I bumped into one and he was carrying some oranges or some fruit, and all his fruit spilt out. And I thought he might bend down to pick it up, but he kind of stands there for a while, kind of rocking, and then just sort of walks off again. So I picked up all his oranges, um, or maybe they're apples, god knows. But yeah, all in all, I'm I'm still very intrigued with it. It's a bit of a Sunday game, Saturday Sunday game for me, where I'll get up and I'll just play that all day. Wolverine's a nice one to put on, you know, at the end of the day, couple of hours, three hours, just play through, have some enjoyment in it. Um, but yeah, I mean that's my gaming activity. Oh hold up.
Farming Simulator Gets A British Map
SPEAKER_01Hey, are you ready for the next episode? Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Offies kicked in. Farming simulator every day, switch to signature edition, finally got a British map, a Northern Ireland map, which just about scratches my itch. So when I saw that, I was like, yes, finally. Checking every day's finally paid off. I mean, I guess that would work eventually, wouldn't it?
SPEAKER_03But uh, how do you find Switch 2 version compared to PS5?
SPEAKER_01Totally fine. It's all the bits, it's the basically the PS5 version, dumbed down, obviously, and handheld, it does look a bit farming simulator 17. But docked on the TV, it's up there. I think a few of these maps have had to be nerfed because the mods have gone a bit crazy when you're playing, say, the similar map on PS5. There's a lot more atmospherics, the graphics look a lot more ramped up. Um, but for the most part, as soon as I got into it, immediately had six fields of like oats, barley, and uh wheat to um get in for the harvest, and was straight into like combine, get my tractor hooked up to my trailer. Um, you know, the Northern Irish boys, I think one of the tractors was a Zeta, I think the Combine was a massey, and I think I had a case with the front loader on it, international all the way. Um allegiances may vary, and um yeah, been really enjoying it. I love some of the selections of the old school gear that they've loaded in for that map as well. Tight, tight gateways, proper farming, not massive machinery, you've got to you know think about how you're doing, you can't just turn up in a great big, you know, tracked case, it's not gonna fit through the gate, and that's what I've always loved about the right British maps where you are restricted, and it does mean you're gonna take three times longer to do the field, but there's some more enjoyment in those older bits of kit and sort of struggling through, and plus it feels more contained, you've got your like nice little walled field areas, it really does feel because the European maps are okay, and the American maps, yeah, you can pretend you're like Kevin Costner working on a ranch or some drivel, but these British maps they've got for me that's farming. It feels like you're playing like a with a 1980s Britain's farm toy, it just is perfection to me. So, yeah, very happy that that's finally dropped and um very keen to continue playing it. In fact, maybe Crimson Desert and Wolverine are now iced as I go mainline on Switch Farming Simulator. I'm happy with that. And if more British maps come, I'm even happier. Um, so um, yeah, I think that draws a line under the what we've been playing.
Obsidian Moves Under Bethesda Group
SPEAKER_01I hope you've enjoyed that. Um, now it's time for what you've really stuck around for the news. We've scared the very darkest regions of the internet to bring you the latest stories. First up, RGT. Um we've got over on Pure Xbox, Fraser Gilbert, the Highland Warrior, has come down from the heather with this. We're not resetting our roadmap for Thieves the Boss on Obsidian and the Xbox Studio Shakeup. I think that might be my first teeth slip up, so make sure you're down, you're lactate or whatever it is you've got a glass of. Xbox Studio Shakeup is said to be mainly a change in reporting structure. Uh let me just adjust this so my eyes for once. Let me look upon you with my own eyes. When Xbox announced its major shakeup of studios earlier this week, one of the companies that was affected was Obsidian, which is officially now part of the Bethesda group, rather than the Xbox Game Studios, as it was beforehand. This has naturally led to questions about what the future holds for Obsidian, but according to Bethesda Voss Jill Braff, it's primarily just a change in reporting structure and won't lead to a roadmap reset on a Bethesda side, at least. Here's about what Braff told our employees in an email this week via IGN. So we're all eating each other's stories here. Fraser's eating IGNs, and then I'm eating both of them. Mmm, yum yum. Today's announcement is primarily a change in reporting structure. The creative identity and strengths that make Obsidian distinct will remain at the core of their studio and work. Hmm, they really want you to get wasted this week, don't they? Fergus and the Obsidian leadership team will continue to lead Obsidian while the studio reporting up to me. Bethesda Game Studios will continue to lead the Fallout franchise. Together, the teams will build on their long-standing relationship and their early work already underway on a new Fallout project with more to share in the months ahead. To be clear, we're not resetting our roadmap or asking teams to change what they're focused on. We'll take the time to understand how teams can best support one another and where closer partnerships can benefit our players and fans. Prior to this week, it's already been confirmed that Professor are working on Fallout 5, Fallout 3 Mastered, and Fallout New Vegas remastered, among other things, but also they've been teamed up with Obsidian for a few for a new Fallout project. So aligning the two companies in the wake of that news. Shakeup does leave Xbox Game Studios looking very bare, though, just a few teams left under that banner. Other developers have moved from Xbox Games Studio this week, including Rare and World's Edge. Ultimately, it does seem a bit pointless to keep Obsidian part of the Xbox game studio if they're going to work so closely and fall out in the months and years to come. So here's hoping that particular shake up works great for everyone. If you've got a thought on that article or there's a part of that element that we've missed or an angle that we didn't see drop down in the comments and let us know or if you listen on the audio feeds jump on the Discord, send us an email, questions on officialcontrollerpodcast dot com. RGT, what do you make of all this? Because also the next Halo game will be developed by Activision. So we're going to see Call of Halo. Rare getting kicked around the place like a dirty coffee cup in the wind. It's all a little bit crazy but does this actually does all this realignment mean that we're going to see a little bit more? Obsidian probably going to announce New Vegas 2 or some variant of Fallout where they can put their magic source on it. Still no news on Elder Scrolls 6 which would be quite the fun thing to see but it no news is good news one would hope. But next to Crimson Desert although their storytelling's better they're gonna have to pull their finger out the backside to make the world feel good nice to see Obsidian not get the boot though I think that that would be crazy if they did although I'm sure Outer Worlds and Outer Worlds 2 probably didn't perform to the level that maybe everyone expected it to although I quite like the game I'm sure lots of you out there do. What do you make of all this realignment?
SPEAKER_03Does it mean that instead of just rolling around in your laurels and now being given a uh a timeline and you know we need these games by XYZ date what's going on RGT I always I'd picture Xbox now as two years ago if you think of them as a triangle and the bottom of the triangle was two years ago and they just keep streamlining streamlining streamlining mutting their way to the top they're just bringing it all in and you know if you actually look back Sony done the same as well not so much with Nintendo they haven't had to but they've almost cutten the staff down and just bringing studios in and in and in and which is a complete U-turn from them trying to buy everyone to now trying to get rid of everyone it's as as though they had buy everyone games pass now games pass try and get rid of and let's just let's just deplete the studios down.
SPEAKER_01To your point there was a fear in the market that uh companies like Tencent were just gonna come in and swoop up everybody. Definitely yeah and um who was the other one as well there was um oh I can't remember but there were there was some big moves weren't there EA and other people I think some people who bought EA were trying to hoover up everything and I think they were just trying to bolster themselves up a little bit to make themselves seem bigger. There was a grab for content in the fear that you know we need to grab content Lefrott and Chelsea PlayStation bought Bungie which that now looks like probably one of the biggest mistakes that you've ever seen uh marathon kind of hit but it's it's tapered off quick um it just leaves them all looking a little bit like starving cats if I'm honest.
SPEAKER_03Just remembered Embracer Group Embrace a group who really got themselves in trouble because they were buying up so many studios they the stock was going down in price because their games were competing against each other studios were launching rival games but they owned both and that all started to collapse on her they were selling off big time in the case of it.
SPEAKER_01As I said there was a panic in the panic in the marketplace in the gaming sphere that you know there was a land grab going on and you needed to make sure you had several things attached to you to bolster yourself to make a so you could prove that you had the content going forward to shareholders and your gamers and probably in that order as well and um you know Xbox were on the push to be the Netflix of gaming you can't do that without studios so they were grabbing Tencent and Embracer were grabbing because they were trying to bolster themselves up because they were looking and feeling a little bit skinny without some of these things attached to them. Now some studios did escape that you know Square Enix Capcom you know they're still cutting a lonely figure out there Sega as well but I think they've got the franchises and a little bit the legacy enough to survive you know you put your game on any one platform out there PC, PlayStation Xbox Nintendo people are going to lap it all.
SPEAKER_03And Square Enix as well they're quite clever they've got Final Fantasy 14 which millions of people play online it's been going for 10 years and he's smashing it that's now got switch to port then you've got you know they release on everything they have mobile ports they've got a bit of everything going on they got loads of big franchises from Final Fantasy to all their older games they're bringing back and remastering so they're they're okay as they are and I think they've pushed off a lot of um offers to be bought out and I know there was a lot of rumours Sony was gonna nab them but never did thank god well you gotta think that Sony slipped up there they could have acquired the franchise that kind of since PlayStation one launched has been synonymous with them Final Fantasy they could have gone and got that and made it exclusive if they wanted to but they blew every single last bit of change down the sofa on Bungie well Bungie have already been kicked to the curb one time and then they pick them up for what is an awe-inspiring amount of money for what they've actually extracted from them and don't forget it was Bungie who kaiboshed all their kind of oh last of us multiplayer that's never gonna work okay so I'm taking advice from you fine how's that worked out for you not very well I'd imagine the last of us multiplayer would still be doing gangbuster numbers now compared to the the killed destiny the sort of ever wittering um well you know we've had Concorde and marathon and stuff like that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah it's like Concorde's not theirs but they they they spoke up about they didn't say a word about Concorde but they felt the need to like crush Last of Us multiplayer. Functions was always insanely popular on on PlayStation 3 so why on God screen earth would you not want more of that?
SPEAKER_03I don't understand why you'd make two games that no one wants but the one game people did want you Kai Bosch just because Bungie said you're like no no I mean me and you are not online gamers we'd have probably dabbled in that at last oh 100% yeah we would have been on that and you know if that if that's what that was rumored to have been these survival online games where you play with friends and survive and stuff are really popular. As far as I'm concerned FPS online games are on the wane.
SPEAKER_01They've sort of had agreed so give if you're gonna do live service do something different and give what people want and that's and I know a lot of people you know marathon launch it looked like a sexy product you know graphically it looked pretty cool and I know a lot of people sunk a lot of hours into that but if it was a place to keep people and retain it as a money making machine they've all bounced they've all done like 100 hours 50 hours 200 hours in the bounce and not going back to it they won't go back to it so yeah I find so this gen the only kind of experiment that worked there was like Helldivers which has been insanely popular on every single platform and still continues to be you've got to say like yeah fair play to you there you stuck to your guns that came out a bit more of a budget title but flipping it back to Xbox um to refocus on the news article we brought to you uh Bethesda need a rocket all their backside really and from their own internal you know okay they've published some bits and bobs and that that's been you know good Indiana Jones etc but you know where's Elder Scrolls where's Fallout where are these remakes you know we want we want them there's no reason why we can't have them but I guess they're working on it they want to make it as good as possible I kind of get that but at the same token like Fallout was a hot prospect was a hot topic a while back and all you did was remaster four and then give 76 a little bit of content it's kind of like you're not aligned with your with your cross pollination of your product who really would have thought that that would have been a gangbuster TV show for Amazon but it's been huge season two now probably not as successful as the first one it's kind of dying a little bit but that was your hot moment that was your hot spark that was your moment to be like wow actually is is New Vegas is like a sneak peek at the new fallout here's a here's a sneak peek at the remake of three you know this could have been their moment to really stamp that home yeah they seem like it's it's a bit similar to what Sony's like you know what people want is over here and they're aiming over here that's always misses people keep missing and you just think you know it's like Elder Scrolls 6 when did I announce that three four years ago they put that clip up and then admitted they hadn't even started it why would you say that why say that now you know been waiting now people are like oh you know it's four years now we're waiting for this game they're probably not even halfway through making it yet and you're just like geez it felt like an Overwatch 2 moment like they needed to say something didn't they they had to say something um so they cracked out of that trailer which they knew would get everyone excited but you you scratch beneath the surface and it literally was just surface level it there was nothing so yeah um fingers crossed we get it because obviously those two franchises are mega oh and I laughed you know and there's only so many times you can release Skyrim I mean come on just I saw someone playing it on a vape screen the other day so that's how far that's proliferated on a fridge.
PS6 Rumors Power Price Handheld
SPEAKER_03Yeah absolutely brilliant what's this next bit of the news RGT and don't forget we don't do rumors no we don't um push square rumor PS6 hardware complete double the power of PS5 with handheld model uh less powerful than new Xbox but potentially cheaper um that's positive to me um according to notorious hardware Snoop Kel Kepler L2 I thought that was a planet um I think that's maybe where I got his name from fella the hardware configuration of the PS6 has been tapped out in uh industry terms this means Sony's completed design of the chip and lockdown um and lockdown the specs and it's now ready for manufacturing this all points to a November 2027 launch uh the sneak says PlayStation's new console will deliver 40 teraflops compared to the new Xbox's 56 teraflops however it's worth noting that this isn't always a reliable measure of performance as various factors can contribute to on to how games run. If the helix will still function on a PC for example then it will need additional horsepower to manage those functions. System architect Mark Cerny has also spoken at length about flop flotation that's a word and a half flopflation flopflation so not something I've suffered with and how this measure uh isn't always the best way to determine the power of a device the PS5 is technically around 20% less powerful than the Xbox Series X. I can see George laughing although in real terms this rarely ever factors. Speaking uh specifically about the PS6 Klepper L2 says it'll offer roughly double the power of the PS5 with 12 times faster ray tracing and a much more efficient um RDNA5 architecture. It will it'll also presumably benefit from an upgraded version of the platform holders proprietary PSSR upscaler which will massively reduce um compute computer that word overhead drink down your glass it doesn't just count for me it counts for RGT as well so down your glass they're gonna be smashed by the end of this read through good um without sacrificing images but fall asleep and go through the whole playlist RGT and we'll just be top of the YouTube charts. Yeah just keeps repeating yeah leave leave it on uh uh leave it on playthroughs please uh portable model is also planned although it's not entirely clear what kind of gaming experiences this will deliver and how it will fit into the overall product portfolio clearly these are all queries the company is going to need to answer next year as it's seemingly ready for November 2027 launch. The biggest question fans are going to have is the price and it's possible Sony may be able to beat Microsoft here due to its more modest overall design. The body of materials cost is currently estimated to be around $960 although AI related demand could push that up to up or down over the next 12 months if true though it's feasible Sony could ship the system at $900 assuming it's willing to take a small loss at launch it's likely uh it will likely make money back with a game purchase and PS plus subscription obviously there's still a lot in the air here and while uh Keplerth L2 is uh a reliable leaker none of this is official information by any stretch if the PS6 is coming out next year um we'll know about it within the next six months or so um and that was by Sammy Barker Bolo over on Pushcraft so go check that out over on there um and see what you think um I find it interesting um I think definitely we need more powerful consoles but we don't need to keep hunting down this ray tracing just get something that looks really good 60 frames per second as an improvement on the last one um and I think that's the way to go because of prices I mean do you make a massive massive console that's going to cost 1500 bucks or you're more likely to make one that's you know a decent improvement at 900 you know I think you've got to go with a 900 um I think it's very interesting I think from sort of Xbox's 56 teraflops in a way that the Helix seems rumoured to be about it's very very more PC than PS5 I think it's gonna literally be almost like their version of a Steam machine it's gonna be literally a a PC in a box um but yeah it's it's I mean it's powerful I mean we've seen before with how the Series X was the most powerful console going yet ports always play better on the PS5. Their PSSR their their little way they do it makes games run so much better even though it's 10 teraflops to 12 teraflops nine times out of ten the better third party game is on the PS5 so it's not always like I said I've said this many times on the show before you can have a V8 Mustang going around Silverstone but you might have a turbo metro but the metro will always tap the corners better. That's not about the overall power you've got that's about how you use the power that's in the car. You know so comparison. Yeah so I I I think that's the way to go I think still if it releases at 900 it's still a lot of money in a increasingly struggling financial world um I don't think I think the days of PS5 trying to beat PS4 and PS4 trying to beat you know the sales of PS3 and PS2 I think are gone. I don't think you'll get anywhere near them numbers um because I was talking to someone the other day and um they're very casual game a friend of a friend um and he was saying you know I was thinking he was thinking of getting his partner a uh PS5 but the price of them is so expensive now and he borrowed a PS4 Pro and he's been playing that and I just said stick with it. Stick with it. I mean graphics still look brilliant on a PS4 Pro there's a massive selection of secondhand games out there on the cheap you can buy just stick with that you there's nothing wrong with that and I think that's the way now people are really looking at do I pay 900 bucks for a new console that I have to maybe sit and squint at the screen to see them extra 50 bits of ray tracing on there do you know what I mean I'm I don't know if they're chasing goals what people want because most gamers I speak to just say look if if we could get a steady 60 on most games I'm happy with that I'm not too bothered about ray tracing reflections and graphics and I know there's more to it which will overimprove you know improve on load and times and all this sort of stuff and what storage and that I know that'll all be improved but I just think sometimes they're they get in their own world these companies of chasing targets that necessarily their customers aren't that bothered about do you know what I mean I I think um I mean to your point about the power I mean the Nintendo Switch are going Nintendo with the Switch one are still going great guns to try and take the title off the PS2 and you know I think in the modern world where you know allegedly power is everything that is a great hallmark.
SPEAKER_01We look back through the history of the consoles and OG Xbox was more powerful than the PS2 but it didn't move the needle you know does console power dictate a large amount of buyers no not necessarily I mean the PS5 as you said is technically inferior to the Xbox. What's that produced? Nothing when you look online now at people putting the DLSS5 um engine or graphics uh upscaler on to games where it takes you know even old games and makes them all nice look photorealistic at this point you've got to think there's a lot of good things going on with that sort of AI upscaling where you probably don't need an absolutely rip snorting machine you just need a machine that can run the equivalent of DLSS5.
SPEAKER_03Very true actually I never thought of it like that.
SPEAKER_01We've kind of arrived at that point because you see some of this DLSS5 footage and it's like that's photorealistic especially the character models the backgrounds etc so that there's something in there where we've kind of hit this zenith point where maybe these AI upscalers are going to take us to the moon and we've got into the stratosphere and they're going to take us further does that mean you can get away running a stick man on the background well no not quite you know not quite there but certainly if you've got the power under the hood to be able to run you know PS5 equivalent and then a good AI upscaler and if they really take the brakes off PSSR and give it some of that DLSS5 features I think there's something going to be there's going to be some utilization for all three of them Xbox Nintendo and PlayStation so you know it's it's an interesting time. I think this rumoured handheld and a $900 entry price for the PS6 is interesting. Obviously the handheld's going to be a little bit of a compromise I don't know whether that's going to be your PS4 and some throttled with the energy mode that's been rumoured and talked about for a while PS5 games where some of the visuals are cut back a little bit sort of run on this handheld what that looks like whether that's incorporated into this price I very much doubt so it'll be an add-on another boost for them to take some of the games on the go or be able to play your PS4 and five libraries back and pat on there which has some legs I think if you can take a big game like that on the go I think the Switch has proven that maybe there are some legs there. Maybe if that comes with a dock as well so you can go away and plug it into a hotel TV screen and then maybe remote play your PS6 and then when you get home you can carry on playing your PS6 as you were there's definitely something going on there that intrigues but that doesn't fit every lifestyle that doesn't fit every gamer we know there's a lot of dual screening going on in households now someone wants to watch Netflix you want to play your game fine I'll play it on the handheld mode portal switch to whatever it is Xbox being notably quiet there they don't seem to have that solution but they're they're more embraced by your Ryzen's your Steam Decks and your other bits and bobs where that is possible so yeah it's an interesting time um I think this does indicate that PlayStation are going to stick to their kind of windows of console evolutions. It doesn't mean they're gonna drop the PS5 when the PS6 comes along you'd think they obviously supported PS4 and probably still support PS4 to this day even though PS5's nearly you know getting its pension check already um it doesn't feel like a long time but then you look back and think actually it is it's been six it'll be nearly seven years when it comes out you know in the next six months we're going to see like a a maybe a coming soon trailer with some ideas of Mark Cerny rattling on about what it can or it can't do. So yeah an interesting time RGT I don't think you know it's all done and dust has settled and smoke has cleared we're just starting to set the grenades off now that sort of indicate that these new consoles are coming it seems like the they really are dedicated to that 2027 window. Quite where that landscape will be in terms of people's financial ability to partake in it by then I mean I said before your disc users that you've upset were probably your early adopters so that might kibosh your launch a little bit but equally so if it it's got enough sex to it if it's got enough games that look amazing on it. Obviously with GTA 6 launching so late in this console's lifespan much like GTA 5 we're probably going to see like a 60fps version of that on the PS6 release day and date when it comes out which will obviously pump it up a little bit more people will always chase that game for the graphical fidelity etc because it is such an immersive world I'm sure cloud stables allow you to carry on I'd probably restart just to get the full hit of what it's like when you get there. But yeah interesting Times mate, and um I mean as gamers, maybe with a little bit of what I would say disposable income, I've gone from cold, hot to cold, hot to cold on the PS6. I never quite knew where to be. But you know, possibly by the time it comes round, if there's some promises of some um maybe that naughty dog game gets delayed, becomes a PS6 launch game. Maybe there's some things they're working on now that are going to pop on the PS6 and be sort of cross-platform or cross-generational. Um a bit sort of Ragnarok, a little bit Mars Morales, a little bit Horizon Forbidden West. There's opportunity to stretch them into PS6 and/or make them exclusives. So I don't think they've got anything to be particularly worried about. Um, but yeah, an interesting time, an exciting time. If we wind the clock back to the PS4 era, the PS5 would have been gathering this sort of story, would have been doing gangbuster numbers. Um but now it's kind of a bit of a damp squib in the news.
SPEAKER_03But yeah, yeah, definitely. And I think it's interesting what you said about AI as well, with TVs having AI upscaling now as well. Whether Sony would do anything like that with their TVs and their monitors to add extra horsepower through the TV yourself with the AI upscaling. Um, because it really does, it works really well, especially on older systems. How that would work with a modern system, I don't know, but it seems uh an good opportunity there, as so many TVs have this AI upscaler now that when you improve your TV, you improve your games console. So that'd be an interesting uh route to go, I would imagine. But yeah, we'll see.
SPEAKER_01Hmm.
Metroid Dread Physical Prices Spike
SPEAKER_01Well, with that, over on Nintendo Life, we've got Liam Doolin. He's fresh from his banjo plucking incident that we reported a few weeks ago, and he's picked up his pen and paper from his hospital bed. And he's penned this. Metroid Ravenous announcement sees demand for physical copies of Metroid Dread Spike. Sealed copies are selling for well above the $100 mark. Summer's side scrolling ventures set to continue in 2027 with the Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive Metroid Ravenous. Head of the anticipated return of the Legendary Bounty Hunter, there's been an increase in Metroid Dread sales. This has not only led to the 2021 Switch title trending in the eShop charts in recent weeks, but it's now also boosted physical sales of the out-of-print title. As reported by Games Radar Plus, US listings for new and sealed copies of this title have supposedly gone well above the retail price, surpassing the $100 mark on sites like eBay. And the special edition of the title is apparently going for even more than that. Got a quote here. A handful have gone pretty much the same thing, but a handful of copies have gone for as much as $170. Although Metroid Dread surpassed 3 million sales and was officially crowned the best-selling game in the entire Metroid series, as the source notes, it's not exactly like other Nintendo titles that received seemingly endless print runs, so supplies limited. Fortunately, if you're eager to pick it out, check this out and that's and the next stand down your glass.
SPEAKER_02Fill it up, down it again.
SPEAKER_01Fortunately, if you're eager to check out this previous and outstanding adventure from developer Mercury Steam before the next Metroid game arrives, you can always download the eShop version. Now, how about a Switch 2 upgrade for Dread Nintendo? Has the announcement for Metroid Ravenous on Switch 2 encourage you to replay or pick up Metroid Dread for this time first time? Down you glass. Are you excited about this next chapter in the Metroid series? Let us know in the comments below. RGT, another interesting take of Nintendo doing the limited print run on a game they maybe didn't have confidence in, or maybe didn't see getting picked up physically. That's now boosted the hell out of that title where it's gone up a little bit, Mario 3D All Stars.
SPEAKER_03Um but was Metroid were Metroid Dread that weren't a limited print run, was it? I bought that and released it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but maybe they just did that one run.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, because I think they were disappointed with the sales. I don't think it sold as much as what they thought it would. Metroid, although everyone thinks oh, Nintendo and Metroid, it's not one of their best-selling IPs, Metroid. It's called a low-selling IP, which is strange.
SPEAKER_01But Metroid 4 got a little bit of a kick in as well, so it kind of fell on its fell on its arse a little bit at release. Obviously, there was some talking there about certain characters that didn't flick everyone's switches and that open world section being a bit barren, um, and then the rest of it basically being a bit of a rehash of you know the GameCube, A and Allah, the Nintendo Switch version. But you know, seems like people are craving for a bit of this. Obviously, the limited print run does mean it's a subsect of a subsect of a subsect that have kind of pumped for this, and there's only a limited number of those people that are going to be willing to pay the higher amounts. There's probably a little bit of scalping going on on eBay, there always is, especially when moments like this get announced. Um, of the last Nintendo Direct, or whatever it's called, that you know, it probably a strong chance that people got maybe a little bit overexcited about Ravenus because it it did pop really well on there. But hey, you know, as Nintendo Life say, if you're struggling to find yourself a physical copy, and I know you want all your red spines lined up, I know you do, I know you do, I know it, I know it.
SPEAKER_00But maybe this one you just get, maybe this one you just get digital guys, and it's gonna be okay, it's gonna be okay.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it seems, I mean, I bought it on release played, it's a good game. Um it is good fun, it's a tough game, it is a tough game, but for this to it just seems weird that that new game announcement suddenly just seems to click with people. Oh, we need the old one, I never did buy it, and suddenly there's a rush, and I suppose social media and YouTube and people saying, Oh, I've got to get Dreadwaller still there, and yeah, I think it reviewed well, and I think maybe people slept on it a little bit as well.
SPEAKER_01Maybe thought I'll get round to that when I get round to it. Then with physical copies being a bit limited, they kind of maybe put it off to another day, and now they'll find themselves like in a world where they now want it because they want to see how the story continues into Ravenus. I get I get that, I do like Dread didn't exactly click with me in the way I wanted it to. I wanted it to be like a almost remake, and I've been begging for like a remake of the Super Nintendo versions, or we talked not that long ago about you know, maybe getting some of the other titles, the spin-off titles, like you know, um Fusion as a remake rather than maybe some of these, but you know, the masses have spoken, Nintendo's spoken. This is what we're getting. Better be happy with it, and seemingly people are. So, yeah, I thought that was worth reporting because yeah, I think definitely.
SPEAKER_03I mean, I've just had a quick look on CEX, and they don't even list the game on there, so they're obviously out of stock of it as well. Which is yeah, they've got the amiibos, but they haven't got the game.
SPEAKER_01The thing is, mate, what goes up must come down. By the time this hype has diminished and and fallen down like smoke around our legs. I think we'll find ourselves where that's gone back in stock and it's a relatively normal price. I don't imagine this spike's gonna last forever.
SPEAKER_03So I don't think it was it wasn't a top-tier price when it launched. I think it was only like I think it was $44.99 or something when I got it. And yeah, yeah, so well, interesting. So that's weird that Nintendo must be thinking, why didn't you buy it first time around?
SPEAKER_01Kind of. I mean, they could be making handover fists, equally so. You know, you'd have thought with them bringing out Ravenus, they might have done a a small reprint or maybe done a Switch 2 boxed version of it so people could get like a slight upgrade. Obviously, Nintendo Life point out that didn't get one, other than the handheld boost mode, which obviously comes along with putting your carts in, or the boost mode for putting your switch one carts. And I've had varying degrees of great success experimenting with that, really enjoyed that element of the switch two. Um, but yeah,
News Wrap And Saturday Recording Vibe
SPEAKER_01interesting. Uh, that brings us to the end of the news RGT. That that happened quick and fast, and maybe it's all the drinking we've been doing off the back of slipping up on my uh teeth, but um yeah, different time, a bit of a different time pulling the curtain back behind the scenes as we're recording. It's a Saturday morning, yeah.
SPEAKER_03That's an unusual one.
SPEAKER_01Normally you record on a Friday night, so we've got all that high energy finish the week scenario, and this is probably going to be a little bit more low-key, a little bit more low brow, a little bit more cigar club, which is always a bit more worrying when we're playing drinking games on 10 o'clock on a Saturday morning. Well, you know, people will be watching this in 20 years' time retrospectively, and they'll be doing it on a Tuesday dinner time. So, you know, don't blame me if you got sacked for going back wasted. Um blame the orthodontist.
Where To Find Us And Join Discord
SPEAKER_01Um, RGT, history dictates that once we've done this, we do a little bit of housekeeping. We're gonna throw you the mop, the bucket, and the cynic bang baby, and maybe even a scrub daddy for your flopflation. Tell us where people can find us.
SPEAKER_03Yes, definitely. You can find us on um anything like Instagram, you can find us on TikTok, you can find us on X. Um, but also you can look at our wonderful website that Captain Skynet slash Scarlet has produced, um, which is uh unofficial control podcast.com. Check on there. We've also you know before I skip over it, we've also got like um uh game reviews on there, we've got bits of what we've been doing, we've got the challenges that happen over on the Discord, and also on there is a Discord link. So if you want to join Discord, you can click on that link, jump straight across, come and join in the game and family. We're looking for new members over there. Um there's always plenty going on with a weekly quiz. There is, as I mentioned, Red Dead Redemption. I've just finished with our Gen 7 playthrough, RGT back to quiz. So um we'll be doing a new vote on that soon for our new game to play. Um, and it's just a good little game and family over there, so check out over there. Um, also we have um if you want to contact the show for any reasons, like I've said before, from queries to sponsorships to show you know you want to join in with a show or anything like that, if you're a content creator, let us know at questions at unofficialcontrolluppodcast.com and we will get back to you on that. Even if it's just you couldn't find a website or you, you know, just want a question for the show, just let us know on there.com. I've on that note covered everything.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you have. On that note, we've had a slew of codes and and people sending us bits and bobs on the email. So please, if you're listening now, have your patience. We're gonna we're gonna work through that. We will feed back to you. Um it's a little bit unusual for the show for us, so we've always kind of maybe steered away from codes before, but um, there's a few innovative and interesting titles that kind of fit maybe the cosy game narrative that RGT's into. So, you know, let's uh let's get in wired up clockwork orange style and make them play through them all back to back and give us some feedback. So, yeah, interesting.
SPEAKER_03Fire extinguisher on standby for Lenovo.
SPEAKER_01Time you got an upgrade pal, although that's meant to be quite a beast, isn't it?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that is he's pretty good. You there's sometimes you play games that and then you go back to your Switch 2 and you realise how actually quite powerful the Switch 2 is. It it that screen and what that can do for how slim that is sometimes puts the Lenovo to shame on certain games, and you think yeah, even when you tweak of all the settings and that, you think, yeah, that's that's a bit of kit for the money to switch to. It is quite impressive when you sort of dabble between the two.
SPEAKER_01But the thing is for that hand that the Nintendo handheld is that it's got like a groundsweller volume of units sold, so there's a lot of optimization going on for it. When you make a game for a handheld PC, exactly, yeah, the scale is huge, so you don't quite know whether you're making one for a budget one that you got from Team You or whether you're making it for one of the premium ones like no Dan your glass, your Lenovo. If you're still conscious, if are you is that sick? Just wipe it off, drink through it, you're gonna be okay. Oh dear RGT, digital monkery's done the grand slam. He's sicked, he's urinated, and he's defeaticated on himself. Uh and I think there's a little bit of dribble from the front Thomas as well, so I don't know. Retro front Thomas. There's no flopflation going on down at DM's place, I tell you. He's grand slammed. Every liquid he can generate here's generated, and there's a little bit of drool there as well. You know what? That premium Russian vodka you bought was probably not the right one to have a UCP drinking game with because yeah, my teeth is like a left-footed man trying to get through an obstacle course. Fell fat of my face within the first 30 seconds. And looks like you did as well, good friend. So, yeah, I hope you're well. Uh just just sit through it and then get washed up afterwards. Or you could use a pause button, but I think the vibe would go, so just stick with it. Just stick with it. Um with all that said and done, thank you to everyone who reaches out and gets in contact. To those that um want to support the show, they can do from as little as three dollars. Let me get my calculator out. Three US dollars is equivalent to twelve Syrian drachmarys. And that's nothing. And as I said last week, even if you join at three dollars, you're gonna get a t-shirt. If you join higher up, you might end up getting two t-shirts, right? That is a gamer's wardrobe sorted for a decade. Um laundry required. So knock yourself out. Don't get one to impress that significant other in your life because they're not interested. You're a gamer. You stink, your breath smells like a rancid drain pipe, and you've got all the charisma of a dead animal. But they don't love you for that. They love you for your wage. Okay, so keep bringing the money in, right it, and you'll be alright. Wow, you're a loser.
SPEAKER_03You should join George motivational talk.
SPEAKER_01Come join the Discord where all the losers hang out, like me. I haven't washed since my birth. I'm still covered in a little bit of um afterbirth myself. Um, but I now sort of see it as a little bit of me, a little bit of you, a little bit of everything. Uh on that note. Yeah, let's get on the subset thing. Um things are gonna get a little bit
Shoutouts Subscribers And Community Bits
SPEAKER_01crazy.
SPEAKER_03Well, we've got we've got to start this week with a uh new subscriber.
SPEAKER_01Aren't we gonna do it in reverse? New subscriber?
SPEAKER_03No, I think we need to do it the other way around. We'll we'll alternate each week, I reckon. Okay, are you starting? Can do if you want. We have a new subscriber, like we say, which is Speedy Wheels. Good friend of mine. Thank you very much, Speedy Wheels, very much appreciated. And um, he did say to me this week, he loves the read dates, he loves how we make stories up and tack the Mickey out of different people, and he said, um, give George free reign on my name. And I was like, well, you ought to be careful with that because he does go uh tend to go a bit left field with these, but I was just like, Well, I'll probably read you out this week just to save you from that crushing first week, and then from next week George will just go ham on you. Ham like a pig. Squeal piggy. Um that wouldn't differ. But yes, thank you, Speedy Wheels, for joining. And um, yes, you will be getting your um two t-shirts.
SPEAKER_01Um wow, so he's sorted for a decade, isn't he?
SPEAKER_03Right, definitely. Um, because he's we do we do a t-shirt run every year. So if we say if you join within that year, you get the t-shirt run you've missed, which is the April time, when everyone gets a new t-shirt, and then he's got a new t-shirt for joining. So he'll be getting those. He's picking his designs as we speak, and those printed, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Um no need to brush the quaver dust off yourself, speedy wheels, right? Just get a new t-shirt, stick it on top.
SPEAKER_03Exactly, just slide it over the top, crumbs and all 8,000 t-shirts.
SPEAKER_01He's walking around like a he can't move his arms anymore.
SPEAKER_03But yeah, brilliant. Fake the speedy wheels.
SPEAKER_01Putting through him like archaeological survey, like peeling back the t-shirts. Brilliant. Well, up next, our digital overlord. He's been making, he's actually on the campaign to save the birdie song. So save the birdie song sicker. Uh, I think we need to save the birdie song t-shirt, do we not?
SPEAKER_03There could be another design added on onto the download list, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Captain Skynet, don't you think you're getting away um with murder this week? Although, you know, your DNA was all over the knife, friend. It was only Lionel Lawyers that got you away with that. You do look a bit murdery, I'll be honest with you. You've got that look in your eye. Um, but you are an AI companion who turns all of our ramblings into almost pornographic material for the TikTok or for the um they seem to do well on the Instagram, so we'll keep putting them there. YouTube doesn't know what to do with them. I don't know whether they think it's inflammatory or or not. He doesn't quite know what to do with it. And I think the birdie song would completely destroy the whole of YouTube, and then you wouldn't be able to watch your uh Jack's Adventures or your Ed Chapman, so then you'd be absolutely done. So um, yeah, Captain Skynet, thank you for what you're doing. Um you're looking good, as always. Would you eat a bit of the Skynet or would you swerve the Skynet?
SPEAKER_03Oh a chow, Dan, I ain't eating for a week.
SPEAKER_01Wow. Let's op he ain't got flopflation now, so that might take you a wee while it'd be like trying to get uh like a wet eel in your mouth, wouldn't it? A wet live eel in your mouth. There's a thought that normally only the female uh anyway.
SPEAKER_03Thank you, yeah, yeah, thank you. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Thank you, uh Captain Subscriber. Yes, thank you.
SPEAKER_03Yes, thank you. Next up we have Gazcon, spelled right on the list.
SPEAKER_01Finally, six years in, you gave him the credit he deserves. Where the fuck is Shane Khan?
SPEAKER_03Where is he?
SPEAKER_01Is he allowed?
SPEAKER_03I think we'll you're not cool, you're not big, you're not clever.
SPEAKER_01It just shows my dissatisfaction. Where is he? I'm starting to think that he's gone missing in the outlack.
SPEAKER_03All I'll find is just a half shredded flashback t-shirt.
SPEAKER_01And a really fat koala. Once they get a taste for the man flesh, they go all in, a bit like you can scarlet's flop nation. Yeah. Oh, absolutely, yeah. They know they normally eat eucalyptus sleeves, but you know, given half the chance, once they've had a taste for it, yeah. Shane Con's just basically koala feces now.
SPEAKER_03Oh, but thanks, Gazcon. Anyway, thanks for supporting the show as always, mate. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_01Gotta love a bit of Gazcon. Always gets in the comments, always says something nice on the Discord, always does some very poignant and well thought-out comments on the YouTube, and we need all the comments because that lets YouTube know that you like watching our gear. Uh, and I I hope you like watching our gear. Um let's build it together. Let's build an army. We're the downtrodden, we're the unloved, we're the underdogs.
SPEAKER_03I've got a name. Metal Jesus has the metal militia. We could have the yeasty boys.
SPEAKER_01They were the unglorious bastards, and you've turned them into the yeasty boys.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Fine. That's awesome. I'm on board with it. Yeah. Let's get a t-shirt. That's two t-shirt ideas this week, so I'm all for it. Brilliant.
SPEAKER_03Up next up So I just can say comment down below if you like the yeasty boys, but carry on.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, definitely. Just do loads of comments below. If you've got this far, you owe it to us to do about 20 comments.
SPEAKER_03Then again, if they're playing the drinking game, I don't think they can even see the phone screen at the minute.
SPEAKER_01Just you can hear the voices, just come to the light like you've died.
SPEAKER_03We get loads of random letters and words spelt wrong. It is some random and he's playing the drinking game.
SPEAKER_01Uh that's fine. Um I don't think I've slipped up that many times, but it depends on the strength of your liquor, I suppose.
SPEAKER_03You were telling them to do double shots of whiskey, so that's a good 20 shots in.
SPEAKER_01So that oh, it's been that bad. Oh, yeah. Okay. A man who could drink every single person I know under the table and still stand up and be a statuesque hero as if he'd not even touched a drop. His name's Retro Ed. He is the body stunt double for Peter Andre during the 90s, and he looks like he's carrying a couple of washboards down there. Looks absolutely fantastic. Not only that, he's a really wonderful and kind man, and um I can't wait to see him again.
SPEAKER_03And do you know what? I don't know if you saw in the news this week as a recording, there was a guy dressed as Batman in Norwich, chased off a mugger and got a woman's handbag back and stood on top of the building as he claimed the handbag. And I thought, I bet that's retroed. I bet that's retro ed.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, don't that's like telling everyone that Bruce Wayne's Batman, you don't do it. Everybody knows it is, but you don't you don't say it out loud.
SPEAKER_03Well, okay, yeah, I bet that wasn't retro ed Wing wing. That's gonna be that wing's gonna get clipped now, isn't it? I've just fell in the Skynet trap.
SPEAKER_01I want that wink to get clipped, but no doubt I was laughing so it was never seen.
SPEAKER_03I can do it now, while the camera's on me if you want. There you go.
SPEAKER_01Hmm. Was that a wink or you've got some sort of Bell's Pulsey going on, friend?
SPEAKER_03Definitely a wink.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_03Um Yeah, so next up. Thank you, Retro Ed, by the way.
unknownBatman.
SPEAKER_03Um hey, I'm Retro Red. Um next up we've got um Jesus. Next up, we've got from Trump to Trump in a week. Any year financial advice. This is the guy who knows what he's doing with it. And he's the only one I would trust. That's firm returns. And not only that, he's an awesome Switch collector as well. Some if you're named Switch games are firm returns.
SPEAKER_01Do you know what? He's actually named himself after you coming back round from a flopflation.
SPEAKER_03What a firm return. I'll take that. That's a t-shirt idea. Flopflation on the front, firm return on the back.
SPEAKER_01Oh, absolutely. Uh up next corner house, or as RGT calls it, corner place. Damn. He'll go anywhere for a free burger. He'll even misname them. This week, though, apparently, um, off the back of all the drinking activity, they're gonna fill a yard of ale to sort of tribute to their British roots at the show. Um They're gonna give you an Americano and they're gonna give you uh they're gonna give you a below the belt trouser rumble. I don't know what that means. It's obviously New Yorkian for something, but uh yeah, go knock there, show them that you're uh subscribed to the show, and then go take Jackie in the back room. Yeah, I don't know if you should be endorsing that. Why not? They told me to. They said this is the offer this week. They haven't told you that. Who tells me who rings up and tells me these from Cornerhouse then if it's not if it's not them?
SPEAKER_03I think people might be having you on. I think that's I no, mate. No bit like Bart Simpson doing his crank calls to the to the pub, Moe's place. I think you're being ahead. Can I have a yard ofwel and a rumble at the back?
SPEAKER_01Below the trousers below the belt rumble.
SPEAKER_03Anyway, thank you, Cornerhouse, as always. And we apologise. We'll sort out next week. Um, next up we have the Dreamcast Man himself. Ro Space Monk, amazing collection, pushing his way towards that full set. And we still need let us know if there's any we've got that you need, let us know. Roy Space Monk will help you with that.
SPEAKER_01RSM Reg Regimental Sergeant Major. Down your glass, Jesus wet.
SPEAKER_03Bloody hell. Sorry, DM, but you're gonna have to get up off the floor to see the end of the show out.
SPEAKER_01I'll be honest with you. Last time I looked Yeah, I think DM's dead.
SPEAKER_03Anyway, thanks for a space fight.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, up next, the man, the great Italian, is Badabingster. Um Badabingster comes die. Stammy Berner.
SPEAKER_03Thank you, Batterbingster. Next up we have the 3DS collector who just uh forages for the games. He doesn't pay for these games, he just finds them. And I think he did say I think he's halfway through now. He's I think he's 257 games or something like that he's got now. Um, and he got a lot this week, found them all, they're all free. So if you listen, Mrs. Tuna, that is just very good at finding these games. Um, but yeah, absolutely brilliant. Thank you as always. Can't wait to see the full set. That is uh that is a very, very cool set to have. I've only ever seen one other um person on YouTube have a full set 3DS. I think it was RPG Live, but um, yeah, absolutely brilliant. So uh thank you, Tingle Tuna.
SPEAKER_01Up next, I get to thank Digital Monkreas. The only way I can do that is to try and reanimate him like a war boy from Mad Max.
SPEAKER_02So come on, DM! Get up, get up yourself, wipe all the slop off yourself, yes.
SPEAKER_01Stand up like a man for the rest of the readout. We're very grateful um for you. That was uh some silver hook compressed air cleaner. It wasn't the full electro, or maybe it was. That's gonna kick in. Anyway, DM.
SPEAKER_03What it hasn't already.
SPEAKER_01Jeez. Before I black out, make sure you get yourself stood up and get yourself cleaned up. Um transfer the show to your phone so you can watch it in the shower. I'm sure you're technologically enough to have one of those waterproof phones. Uh, I hope you're doing well. Um, you're looking good and even half cut, baby. You're twice the man I am.
SPEAKER_03Yes, thank you, DM, as always, mate. I hope you're doing well. Next up, he's at a hospital. Oh wow. He's recuperating at home. Yeah. So he's still on the fingerboard doing the floss 360 with uh with a little bit of his towel left. Um, he did message me this week and said, yeah, even though I was in a bad way, I'm still fingering. If I can just keep fingering and keep practicing, I'm on it. So yeah, fair play.
SPEAKER_01Well, I got I got a phone call from him.
SPEAKER_03Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he said that he's he's he is back at home, he's resting. The NHS and the scientists have been very intrigued by his viscous fluid um tube that's in his flesh trench, and they've been sending someone around to milk it on a daily basis, and that they actually found an aperture where it comes from from the from the 3D scans they did of his body, and that's um funny you said fingering last week because they've managed to get two, three digits in, they're kind of widening it out because what they think is, what they think's happened is he when he had his infamous accident, there'd been a blockage, and now the he sort of said, when I do the floss 360, I wanna when I come back, when I come back, I want to be even more adventurous than I was before. So seemingly they've stretched and widened the flesh trench, they've deepened the viscous fluid tunnel, and um I think when he next does the floss 360, he wants to call it the Gush Floss 360 inverted. He's gonna have an absolute downpour down there. He's been onto Alton Towers and he's bought some of those clear Macs that you get from um the water rides, and he's gonna hand them out at the Farmerton Village Fate. So as he goes over, it's gonna be like an all-encompassing experience where it kind of rains down on them as well as he's sort of popping these moves off. So I can't wait to see him return to full form. Um, yeah. I never thought having an extreme sports superstar in the subs readout was gonna be as exciting as this, uh, especially because a lot of the time people listen to us on audio, but now the viewing, viewing, viewer, viewer. So I think maybe we get him on air one week to to do it in front of us. The fingering, the flossing, the inverted, the the gush 360 or whatever he's calling it. Um Tony Hawks has got shit on him, as far as I'm concerned.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, he didn't pull on off one of them moves, I can assure you.
SPEAKER_01But rumours are He couldn't pull himself off in a crowded room, not the way that Bull Border does.
SPEAKER_03Rumours are it could be a special move in Tony Hawke 6, that's all I'm saying. So I mean you're gonna have to finger that control of a hell of a lot of buttons to get that move on, but as soon as you can get him to flip and spray, let it rain, you yeasty dog. Anyway, thanks, boardboard. Who we got next?
SPEAKER_01Uh a man who really has no inhibitions left. He'll take his switch to here, he'll take his switch to there, he'll do a performance at a campsite, he'll do a performance anywhere. He's going brown, he's going deeper than I ever thought anyone could on the incident, to be fair. He's took his tent box to places where I didn't think he could take a tent box to. Um, I think he's he's left RGT behind, he's gone solo, he's going on a round-the-world trip in his tent box. He's he's he's fashioned it to almost be like a little bit like um chitty chitty bang bang. Uh, because he can sort of kick a couple of towels out the side and flap them upside down, the tank's box tent box can get airborne. Um you gotta wonder though, if him and Bull Border aren't in a little bit of competition, because I do believe that Boba's been making it rain um across various counties in his in his airborne tent box. So, you know, if both of those get together at the next Farmerton Village fate, you best make sure you bring some aqua gear because you're probably not gonna be able to breathe, you're gonna be just drenched in anyway.
SPEAKER_03Thanks, Bova.
SPEAKER_01Wet.
SPEAKER_03Thank you very much as always. Um next up we have your red-headed stepson, which is Ginge, who also was in a YouTube video this week at a Nottingham gamer marker, and also he was in the background in a flashback t-shirt. No, that is a man dedicated to the fucking boy. Scared me a bit then. Yeah, um thanks, Gingers always, and uh you look very ripped in that t-shirt, I will say. My god.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. And and it looks like what me or you would do if we bought a small, but he's in the XXL and he still packs it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, absolutely ripped. If he flicked a gun, that would be shredded. Just like the incredible hole walking out of the place.
SPEAKER_01Thank you, Ginger. I just got a message from someone. I had a missed call and I texted them and said, Are you okay? And I got the message back, dick dial.
SPEAKER_02Um I don't think I've ever seen that before.
SPEAKER_03Do you want me to edit this bit out or what?
SPEAKER_01No, I want you to leave it in. The fact that that was sent to me while we're on air, I think, was destiny. Uh pocket dial, be damned. No, I got dick dialed.
SPEAKER_03So incredible.
SPEAKER_01I don't know whether a dick dial might be where you've taken your phone to the bathroom for a private moment and you know it's you send it up flopping on the screen. It's been very, it's been very misogynistic this episode. I think we need to sort of down your drink.
SPEAKER_03Down you go.
SPEAKER_01DM's just got himself faculties back. He's on the floor again. No.
SPEAKER_03Splashing around on the floor, blessing.
SPEAKER_01Oh, who said a drinking game on a live air podcast recording would be a bad thing? Um, right.
SPEAKER_03Who we got next?
SPEAKER_01I can't see the screen. Uh okay, I don't need to because he comes through like like a gaming messiah. It's Harvey Retro. Wherever you put him, wherever you place him, he elevates the show 10%. That's why we've got him in the subs readout because without it, it'd be just a botched mess. But Harvey Retro comes along and he sends calm, peace, and transquili transqu.
SPEAKER_03Nope, another shot. Damn, bosh. DM DM.
SPEAKER_01Oh, DM. Hello, DM. He can't talk, he won't talk. He's in a worse state than Stephen Orkin this week. He's absolutely done. And he's dead. So yeah. Uh I hope you're doing well, DM. Uh, but Harvey Retro, he descends calm across everything, and thank God he's here because where would this have gone if it wasn't for his name in the readouts?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, definitely. He just descends and brings it all back down, stops this little child childish stuff we're doing. Sorry, slip up shot, and brings us all back to normal. God! Oh, even I'm doing it now. So, yes, thanks, Harvey. Um, next up we have the wonderful Emma Sharp, the Assassin's Creed hero. Yeah, she loves played all the Assassin's Creed, played them to completion. She loves them, even has an Assassin's Creed tattooed down her arm.
SPEAKER_01Got caught running across some rooftops, so um it's not you know, hopefully Lionel's lawyers can get her off with that because you know, a bit dangerous, broke a few pan tiles as she sort of sprinted across and dropped down, nicked someone's wallet, dropped, popped back up and went, you know.
SPEAKER_03And I was just like, You're not playing Assassin's Creed now, Emma. Just calm it down.
SPEAKER_01I think you know, in that episode of Flashback, when we talk about crimes getting influenced by gaming, I think we maybe ought need to ban her from playing Assassin's Creed.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, just give her a break for a bit. But as always, thank you, Emma.
SPEAKER_01Thank you, Emma. Which means I get to thank Greg, nowhere near Berlin. He's he's he's turned up um absolutely nowhere near Berlin. We don't know where he is, he's been missing, rumoured to be maybe even not on planet Earth. No one knows where he is, no one's seen him. All we know is he's nowhere near Berlin and we haven't heard from him in weeks. So I hope you're doing well. Um pop a flare off. You took this whole thing to a whole new level where we just want to make sure you're okay. Um, but thank you for all you do for the show, and thank you very much for being a loyal listener and sub. Who's next?
SPEAKER_03Brilliant, thanks, Greg. Next up we have some bumble you all have to fake. That is Mumsy.
SPEAKER_01Where would we be without her?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, the number one readout on the show.
SPEAKER_01Back of a toilet door. Yeah, exactly. Thank you, Mumsy. Where's the let the sun hate it t-shirt gone?
SPEAKER_03I don't know. I didn't even know it was produced yet. I've demanded it more than once, so you are a bit demander, no, you demand a lot of things. Maybe sometimes you just need to show a bit of patience.
SPEAKER_01I not only give I give to receive, basically. So that's a bit selfish of me, really. I just want to be more of a giver. I think you need to be more of a giver. Which means I get to thank the RGT fan club. And if you stuck around through your son's debauchery this far, RGT fan club.
SPEAKER_03Data.
SPEAKER_01I very much think they hang around for this part because I see you sat there and you assembled some of the greatness. Um, you're looking fantastic. Very grateful for your subscription on a weekly basis. It it's possibly the finest subscription a show could ever ask for. Um, you're looking fantastic. There's no need to do your hair for this, okay. In fact, I would argue you don't need to do your hair because you always look great. The minute you wake up in bed, I look across, you look fantastic, both of you. So I'm very, very grateful for you listening, sharing the YouTube like you do. Um bit wrong. Where would where would we be without you?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, definitely. Um, yeah, thanks, RGT fan club. Got me thinking a bit. Um next up we have the silent but violent, probably the second hardest man in the in the subs readout, you know, until he proves otherwise. Ging is number one.
SPEAKER_01How hard do you think he is?
SPEAKER_03Um I whereas ginge can flex a peck and just rip the flashback t-shirt straight off. It's been blown off on his. I think Pete Brockwahurst would have to flex two to do that. So he's like half the power of a ging fletch. Uh fletch. Sorry, drink. Oh my god. So I'm so conscious of doing it now, I keep slipping up. So anyway, yes, Pete Brockwellhurst, thanks as always.
SPEAKER_01Up next, the man that really is all of our gaming sins coagulated into a pot. It's the yeastmaster himself, it's Billy Marmite.
SPEAKER_03He's got to be head of the Yeastly Boys. He is head of Yeastly Boys.
SPEAKER_01Asylum but violent, he donates, but he doesn't rotate in a Discord. That doesn't matter to us. We love him. We love the taste of him. Well, some do, some don't. Love it or hate it. If you're on the show, if you're part of the community, even if it makes you yak at the back of your throat, you still sort of gorge on a bit of the Billy Marmite.
SPEAKER_03Thanks, Billy. Which means I've got a geef.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, do a geef and I'll see if I can work out what it was that you geefed over.
SPEAKER_03Right. What was that one about the judge?
SPEAKER_01Let me know what that was. Was that you playing? Star Wars Outlaws, and you just first of all you played it, you're like, oh fat, and then you turned off the um film grain, and then you were like, and then you popped on the letterbox, and that final geef was you seeing K Vest in a full unadulterated 4K glory.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, you got it. You 100% correct Geef. So, yeah, that's what it was. That that final that final letterbox mode took me to another place.
SPEAKER_01Wow, okay. Wow. Wowzers. I hope everyone who uh donates to the show is doing well. Thank you very much for your one. We're really weekly, but don't panic, it's monthly subscription. Um, we hope you're all doing well. Thank you very much. If you want to get involved, um find the show on an audio feed, click the link at the bottom and donate from as little as three dollars a month. We're very grateful to you. Um, with that all done, all the gratitudes and platitudes um given
Next Games And Weekly Plans
SPEAKER_01out. It leaves me one final question. RGT, what are you hoping to play?
SPEAKER_03Um more Star Wars Outlaws, obviously. Um, I've got a bit of time off this week, so hopefully you have uh a bit more time to put some hours into this game. You're really enjoying it so far. Looking forward to playing some more and learning a few more of the mechanics and um you know how the game works. Um I think a game nails that when when you're enjoying Discover more rather than it being a chore, I think that's when a game's got you. So I think a game you know might have me on that. Um, I was hoping to have EAFC27 um of held off from pre-ordering for the first time in god knows how many years. Um, because I was I wanted the switch to port, but the switch two port again by EA is 30 frames per second, although it's the full game as the PS5 one, it's still 30 FPS, which is annoying in a sports game, and also it's annoying because then you can't have crossplay online because you can't have someone on 16 and someone on 30 because you're at a disadvantage, which means it just keeps it in its own little ecosystem. And I'm just thinking, come on, EA, make it 60 the other games, and then everyone can play together online on that. So I'll probably end up buying the PS5.
SPEAKER_01Well, I'll do end up the equalizer because you've moaned that you're just gonna bump everyone down to 30.
SPEAKER_03Oh, imagine that everyone going, oh RGT, you ruined it for everyone.
SPEAKER_01Retro Retro drink, retro Gail Thomas has literally nerfed everybody's machine.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so um, yeah, so I'll probably be purchasing that. I know I buy it every year, but I do play with a mate weekly, so that's our game. And even though I haven't even done my own single player campaign this time round on 26, I've still put a couple of hundred hours in just playing with my mate, so on you know, playing on career mode. So I will pick that up so probably play some more of that. Um, and I was looking at getting a couple of Switch 2 games, um, and I can't remember what they were, but they're in my basket on Amazon, so I might pick those up and have a look. But I'll be mostly Star Wars Outlaws this week. Let's crack on with that and get that. Good luck.
SPEAKER_01Um, I've got a weekend to myself, basically. So um probably save Wolverine for the evening, probably a bit of Crimson Desert in the day. I'm intrigued.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Yeah, you ain't got shorts on, so it's not Phil's head.
SPEAKER_01No, he's covered.
SPEAKER_03It's got it's got a beanie on.
SPEAKER_01I just kissed, I just kissed Phil's head the way you kissed retro heads, and it felt dirty and depraved. And I'll never do it again, Phil. I'm sorry. Um, he's got a backwards cap on. Yeah, looks very cool. He is cool, cooler than me, cooler than you. Um but I don't know why, but I've got a little inkling in my bones to go a bit retro. And I don't know whether I'm gonna go PS1, PS2, PS3, AGX box.
SPEAKER_03I don't know what I'm gonna do, but I think to hold that for, and then when I do the vote for the Gen 7 game, jump in and join in with us. There you go. It's too much pressure.
SPEAKER_01Just join in. It's too much pressure.
SPEAKER_03Disappointed.
SPEAKER_01You know what I'm like when I perform, I trip over my teeth, I get people drunk. Yeah. It's not a good look. I spray compressed air in my face, pretending I was a war boy.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that's gonna be clipped big time.
SPEAKER_01I don't know how it came off on screen, it probably just clicked to your face because it just heard like a ssss, like a cat sort of getting angry.
SPEAKER_03Well no, it it it it clicked to your face, and there's you spraying over your own face close up on the screen.
SPEAKER_01Then I sprayed it on the camera as well, just so he could get a little bit of it himself to perk himself up a little bit. So yeah, I mean there's as much in one of those sprays as like a Big Mac burger as if you listen to Urban Legends. So hopefully that sort of like just picked up his mortal fibre and gave him a little bit of a push in the right direction. So yeah, a little bit of Wolverine, a little bit of Crimson Desert. I've got hankering for um going back on the switch too. Uh so maybe a bit of farming simulator as well, uh, of an evening, or maybe I just spend all day slobbed out on the couch, um, just sort of drive my combine around.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, why not? Sounds like fun to me.
SPEAKER_01I don't think there is uh a more sort of higher echelon of pleasantry than uh doing a bit of farming simulator.
SPEAKER_03I'm with you on that. I used to laugh years ago. You playing farming simulator, but when you get that first job and you go into drink stimulator, boom. Did I say stimulator? Did I? I bloody hope not. Um yeah, but that is when you're just like tatting the corn in or harvesting, it is quite relaxing and chill, just doing your stripes up and down the field. There is something about that.
