Cobi Jones is an icon of men's soccer in the United States. He came to the scene during a time when soccer in the US started the boom that led to what it is today...a continuously massively growing sport in this country.
After starring at UCLA, he went to England and then Brazil to play professionally. He played for the US in the 1994, 1998, and 2002 World Cups and had a lengthy career with LA Galaxy, starting with that club at the beginning of Major League Soccer in 1996.
