Clarity for Parents of Athletes is created for parents who are raising athletes with help from stories of former and current professional athletes about their parents and how they were raised. Listen to the journeys these athletes went on during their younger athletic career and how they felt their parents guided them and advice they have for parents to help them with their children. Mohini Bhardwaj's parents believed in supporting her when she told them she wanted to move from Cincinnati and train in Orlando, all in hopes of making the 2000 USA Gymnastics Team. Her dreams to make that team were not quite answered but she continued her pursuit and eventually made the 2004 team and was named captain for the Olympics in Athens...all the while living away from home. Her path was not easy and her determination is incredible.

As always, I discuss parental influence during Mohini's journey and what pressure she felt from the sacrifices her family made for her.
