Danya Perry has some great stories about his aspirations as a juggler and why he thought William "Refrigerator" Perry was his uncle. But much more importantly, he's doing great work as the Equitable Economic Development Manager in Wake County, helping people and businesses across the board to take part in the growth this area is experiencing.
He has done and continues to do a lot of listening to people in the community, but as the son of a preacher, he's a pretty darn good speaker as well. He even uses ACC basketball references to explain equity--that's how you know he grew up around here (New Bern, to be exact).
We also talk about the arrival of the sunflowers, a downtown bar moving (but not far) and we share some #Top3Raleigh ways to beat the heat during the sticky, swampy months in Raleigh.
