Good morning and welcome to Fresh Mercy Podcast, where God's mercy is fresh for you each and every morning. Good morning. Thank God we're back with another episode of Fresh Mercy Podcast. We have another guest. This is our other uh nephew that we love very much. This is Jonathan Steves, Sebastian's little brother. And uh he's a big fan of the podcast. He is he repossed it every day.
SPEAKER_01He watches it.
SPEAKER_00Not a lot of guys do that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So there's someone here that don't even watch, but whatever. He didn't even subscribe. We won't even say his name.
SPEAKER_00So we can't.
SPEAKER_01We won't even say Barry's name.
SPEAKER_00Barry Lawrence's don't watch the podcast, guys. No, he's been watching. Praise the Lord. So we have Jonathan here. We thank God for him. He's body. He's one of the guys. All the men that's coming up today is the men that teach in the church, the upcoming teachers. So Jonathan is one of the guys that do a great job. And since it's Wednesday, we have a tradition.
SPEAKER_01Yes, we do. We read uh the name, we read the scripture that we got the name for the podcast, as you guys know. It's Lamentations chapter three. I know usually me and Vinny uh we start reading it, but then last couple weeks ago we had John and he stole it from me. He read it. Yeah, so John changed it. It set a precedent. Now, every time we have a guest on the Wednesday episode, they're gonna read the scripture. Absolutely. Uh and now, John, you're a big fan of this and you love the scripture. So one of my dreams to sit here and to read this today.
SPEAKER_02Glory to God. Let us read. This is Lamentations chapter 3, verse 22, 23, and 24.
SPEAKER_00Praise the Lord.
SPEAKER_02The faithful love of the Lord never ends. Hallelujah. His mercies never cease. Thank you, change. Great. It's his faithfulness. His mercies begin afresh each morning. Hallelujah. I say to myself, the Lord is my inheritance. Therefore, I will hope in him. Hallelujah. Amen. Praise God.
SPEAKER_00Praise the Lord. Thank you, Jesus. Well, you guys heard it. Mercy is brand new for you each and every morning today. Thank you, Lord. So that was the day today. God bless you guys. That's over. John You have a word from the Lord.
SPEAKER_02Yes, Amen. Glory to God. So the title of this message is Jesus Loves You. Jesus loves you is one of the most important things you're ever going to hear. It's so important and it's so true and it's so powerful. Hallelujah. And I feel like maybe we forget that Jesus loves us.
SPEAKER_01Let me tell you the problem, John. And not to cut you off, but it was a good point. Here's the issue. We made it common. Yeah. This is not common. This is not a common Jesus saying us is a good thing. Jesus loves you. We made it too common. We use the name of God too commonly. God bless you. In Jesus' name. For me to die, I swear to God. Right away, what we're doing is we're taking the Lord's name in vain. And it's horrible. But look, even as something has a God bless you, we're making it too common. I'm feeling your teaching. I'm sorry, gotta go.
SPEAKER_00Let's not make it common no more. Jesus loves you. That is the most powerful thing you'll ever hear in your whole life. Amen. Let's go.
SPEAKER_02So like I said, I feel like we forget that Jesus loves us. Maybe we just gotta be reminded that Jesus loves us because it's so powerful and so true and it's so important. So with that, I don't have to want to waste no more time. I want to get into the scriptures. Come on, take your time. This is Romans chapter 8, verse 38 and 39. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today, nor our worries about tomorrow. Not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below. Indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus. Thank you, Jesus.
SPEAKER_01Explain that to the Lord.
SPEAKER_02The scriptures explaining that nothing can separate us from God's love. Very good. Nothing can take away the love of God from us. You see, God's love, the Greek word for God's love is agape. This agape love is only a God kind of love. That's it. See, this is a selfless, unconditional kind of love. See, God's love is so powerful. And God's love is true love. See, true love is an action. What do I mean by that? True love is an action. It's very easy just to say, I love you. It's very easy just to say those words, I love you. I can go up right now to a gujo on the street and just say, I love you. It's very simple. Sure.
SPEAKER_01It's very easy just to say it, but it's not easy to show it. But if he was in his time of need and he needed something, and you swooped in and you just did it out of yourself, you showed love. Right. That's love and action. That's love and action. See, it's not easy.
SPEAKER_02It's easy just to say it, but it's not easy to show it. Jesus showed his love for us by what he did at the cross. He took up the role as a man, he lived a perfect life, and he died on a cross for us. Romans chapter 5, verse 8 says that uh God demonstrated. God demonstrated his great love for us by while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. See, I got one more verse because I want to show you guys some more of God's love. I was gonna go to the most famous verse in the Bible, John 3, 16. Of course. But I didn't end up going there. I went over here now. This is John chapter 15, verse 9. Now, this is Jesus in the upper room with his disciples, and this is the farewell discourse. So this is his final teaching that he's giving to the disciples. And Jesus goes ahead and he says this I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love. So Jesus is saying here that the same love that God has for him, Jesus has for you. Amen. So if you're saying today, Jesus doesn't love me, if you are saying today that I went too far in my sin, Jesus doesn't love me, or I haven't been in church in so long, there's no way Jesus still loves me. Or I haven't been in the Word, there's no way Jesus still loves me. If you are saying that today, then you are saying God the Father doesn't love the Son Jesus.
SPEAKER_01Say that again. Take your time, say that again.
SPEAKER_02I'm gonna read the scripture again.
SPEAKER_01Read the scripture and say that again. Take your time.
SPEAKER_02John 15, 9. I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love. If you are saying today that Jesus doesn't love you, then you are saying God the Father doesn't love the Son Jesus.
SPEAKER_00You're denying that the Father loves the Son. If you say Jesus don't love me, unbelievable. Really good.
SPEAKER_01Uh John, you're I'm telling you right now you're killing it. Nervousing. But this is what I'm saying. Praise God. This is what I'm saying. Hallelujah. The reason why you should have gone to John 3.16, and I'll explain to you why, for the very same reason that we talked about we opened up the episode with, we made that common too. Right. The reason why it's the most famous scripture and the most talked about scripture because it is demonstrating and showing God's love towards man. Amen. Right? Amen. We're making it common, but we don't even mention John 3.16 anymore. Very good. We made John 3.16 the most powerful verse that people say in the Bible. We took it as common.
SPEAKER_00The love of Jesus is not common. And I want to add something to what you're saying. We're talking about we deny, we say, Jesus, don't love me, I'm too big of a sinner. But it Jesus said, as the Father loved me, I love you. Now look what it says here. I'm sorry, Jim. I don't mean to do that. Go ahead. But in Romans 8, 38 and 39, look what it says at the last of the verse. Ready? God that has revealed in Christ Jesus. No, I want you to read it. I can't see it. Read. Indeed. Nothing in all creation.
SPEAKER_02Indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
SPEAKER_00How did God show us he loved us? Sending Jesus. How did he prove he loved? Like we're saying anyone could say, I love you. Right. God proved his love for us by sending Jesus. He revealed he loved us by sending Jesus, and then Jesus demonstrated that love when he died on the cross. Amen. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. I just wanted I seen that and I wanted to share that. So praise the Lord. Come on, John.
SPEAKER_02But why? He could die. Why does God love me so much? Why does God have so much love for me? 1 John chapter 4, verse 8. But anyone who does not love does not know God. For God is love. Hallelujah.
SPEAKER_01Praise the Lord. It's who he is. It's his nature. It's his nature. It's a part of his character.
SPEAKER_02That's it. He is love. It's not just that God has a bunch of love for you or he just feels a bunch of love for you. It's who he is. Thank you, God.
SPEAKER_01For us, love is an emotion. For God, love is who he is.
SPEAKER_00Tell me, that was unbelievable. Say that one more time.
SPEAKER_01No. For us, love is an emotion. That's it. But for God, love is who he is. Fantastic.
SPEAKER_00Praise the Lord. Amen. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus.
SPEAKER_01Give a final word to the viewer. Tell them about God's love and praise out.
SPEAKER_02Okay. So if you're waking up today with a problem, with the worry, with a doubt, an anxiety, or something, if you're facing something today, maybe a physical, a spiritual, a financial, just know simply. Jesus loves you. Amen. Simple. Jesus loves you. Praise the Lord. That's all you're doing.
SPEAKER_01Praise the Lord.
SPEAKER_02So let us pray. Thank you, Jesus. Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, we thank you, God, for your love. We thank you, God, for showing us that love by your work at the cross. Lord, we thank you, God, for making salvation available to us, Lord. Lord Jesus, we thank you, God, for the viewers. I pray right now in the name of Jesus, God, that those people will receive your love in the name of Jesus. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen and amen. Amen and amen.
SPEAKER_01What a powerful episode. And remember, God's mercy is fresh for you, and he loves you.
SPEAKER_00Amen. Remain in this love. We thank God for you. Have a beautiful, blessed day. God bless.
