SPEAKER_07

Good morning and welcome to Fresh Mercy Podcast, where God's mercy is fresh for you each and every morning.

SPEAKER_05

Good morning, and welcome to a very special episode of the Fresh Mercy Podcast.

SPEAKER_07

Let's go out.

SPEAKER_05

We thank God we had we have all our guys here. These last 10 or 9 episodes has been unbelievable. Yes. This is the 40th episode, and guess what we're doing, guys? Let's talk about Jesus part five. Yay, part five. Thank the Lord.

SPEAKER_07

And we have a surprise appearance from Nikki Keys. That's right, baby. We got Nikki Keys here, our brother in Christ. He's one of the men, like we learned before, a part of the teaching rotation, and we love you guys. We thank God for you.

SPEAKER_05

So what we do and let's talk about Jesus, where that's exactly what it sounds like. We're gonna talk about Jesus. That's it. So what we're gonna talk about, what I think we should lead off with. Come on. Let's what does life look like in Christ? Now, Vinny, you had a verse in Galatians, correct?

SPEAKER_07

Yes. I'm gonna read it. It is Galatians chapter 2, verse 20. I've been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. So off the bat we learn that life in Christ living is not for you. It's about living for him. Amen. That's how we live. That's how we we see that Christ lives in us by living for him. That's what it means to live for Christ. It's no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.

SPEAKER_05

And it's such a hard concept to understand what it means to live for Christ or to live uh with Christ living through you. Now, what does that mean? Uh is that I live when Christ lives through me. So whatever I do in my life, is that honoring Christ, or is that just me living my life? The whole point is this whatever you do in your life, it should reflect the way Christ would live your life.

SPEAKER_07

Amen. His ways. His ways. Very good. I know that uh Jonathan had a scripture. Oh let's see if we can get to Jonathan. Let's see.

SPEAKER_04

Luke chapter 9, verse 23 and 24. Then he said to the crowd, If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your own life, you will lose it. But if you give up your own way for my sake, you will save it. Hallelujah. So Jesus is saying here, He re used the cross. He said, Take up your cross. See, now when we hear the cross, we think of salvation, love, grace, mercy. But back then it meant one thing and one thing only. That's right. Death. You're going straight to your death. No one went to the cross and then came back. So Jesus is saying, die to your own ways. That's it. Die to your lifestyle and take me.

SPEAKER_07

Jonathan, I don't know if you can hear me. No. We're going back and forth. Sorry, guys. But what happens is it says in the verse, if you hang on to your life, you're going to lose it. But if you give up your life, you will save it. We think that if we uh if we say, No, I love my life, I want to live for Jesus. And no, you have the only way you live for Jesus if you give up your life. Because when you give up your life, that's where you find life in him.

SPEAKER_05

The problem is, Vinny, a lot of people that live their life, or there's a lot of people that are just walking around going through the emotions. Yeah. They don't know how to do that. Or they don't know what it looks like to do that. And then a lot of people say, Well, well, I have this uh sit in my life, or I have this thing in my life that I can't get rid of, or this is something that's preventing me. We talked a lot about hindrances this whole week. Very good. And then what is it, what does it should look like? And look what this verse says in uh Romans chapter 6, verse 5. And it says this since we have been united with him in his debt, exactly what John said, to deny yourself, pick up your cross and walk. So, what does that mean to be united? You are tied together with Christ, you are in fellowship with him, you are one with him, Sonny. And look what it says you are united with him in his debt. Very good. We will also be risen to life as he was. Hallelujah. And look what verse 6 says. We know that our old uh our old selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. Praise the Lord. Here's the problem, Bash. A lot of people, Nikki, don't they don't, they think that, well, sin still has this power over them. They still believe that sin still has this control over them. When that's not the case, when you became a Christian, your old sinful life and desire is crucified to the cross. Hallelujah. Crucified with Christ. So if we're united with Christ when we all pass away, or when Christ comes back for his church, we're all gonna want to be united with him in glory. We're all gonna want to be united with him when we go to heaven, we're all gonna want to be tied to him in that way, but we don't want to be tied to him in debt on earth.

SPEAKER_07

Very good.

SPEAKER_05

How do we do that? How do we be tied in his debt? How do we do that? When we deny ourselves, pick up that cross and follow him, and we're united in his debt, meaning that the power of sin is not over us anymore.

SPEAKER_03

Very good. You want something to read? Uh yeah, I wanted to add on to what you said. This is 2 Corinthians chapter 5, verse 17. This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. Hallelujah. The old life is gone. That's it. A new life has begun. That's it. Hallelujah. In your life with Christ, the old passes away and your new life begins. Praise the Lord.

SPEAKER_07

It's unbelievable. The old life is a life of fear, a life of doubt, a life of anxiety, a life of relying on yourself, living in the old nature. Today, you can be delivered. You can be set free by living for Christ. Hallelujah. Uh, Sebastian had a scripture you wanted to read. Uh Barry, can you give the mic to me? Absolutely. Okay, okay. Okay. Come on.

SPEAKER_04

I feel bad because I can't look at the camera directly. The verse is loud and clear. That's it. Uh how many verses do we got here? We got a couple. It might take a while. This is John 15. Chapter chapter 15, verse 1. This is Jesus speaking. I am the true grapevine, and my father is the gardener. And he cuts off every branch of mine that doesn't produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do produce bear fruit, so they will produce even more. You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. Remain in me and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. God when we remain in Christ, we become more fruitful.

SPEAKER_06

That's it.

SPEAKER_04

It says here that we will produce more fruit. Very good. And we will grow if we remain in the world.

SPEAKER_05

That's what a Christian's life should look like. To produce fruit. Yes, it's to deny yourself, but also now it is not like the verse said earlier, Vinny, it is not I who live, but Christ lives through me. And that fruit that's being produced, it's not for you particularly. We learned this uh Tali a few years back. Vinny taught us that when a tree produces fruit, it's not for itself, but it's for others. The tree the tree don't eat its fruit. Right. The tree doesn't eat each other. An apple tree doesn't eat apples. Yeah. An orange tree doesn't eat oranges.

SPEAKER_04

Here gotta remove fruit that is not branches that isn't producing fruit.

SPEAKER_07

Very good. We need to produce fruit, and the only way to produce fruit in our life is to live in Jesus. Uh sonny, you have a scripture?

SPEAKER_06

I want to read something since we're talking about life. Come on. Uh John 14, verses 6. But now Jesus, I am the way, the truth, and the life. This verse is showing us a direction straight to the kingdom of heaven. Amen. True Jesus.

SPEAKER_05

That's right, son.

SPEAKER_06

And I want to say something. Not I'm coming down on anybody. I'll use myself. I was always afraid of following Christ in my younger years. Well, I want to live my life. I want to go on trips. I was dead. Wow. I live my life now in Jesus and I have true life. Hallelujah. Follow Christ, He is the way, not this world.

SPEAKER_07

Amen. Sonny, what an unbelievable testimony. And you said something that was so true. You said that before Christ you were dead. And that's the truth. Jesus came and brought life. Because there was no life. Everyone was dead spiritually. No one had life in them. Jesus came full of life. And you know what I learned in that scripture many years ago? I'll never forget Teacher John Zarrow. Shout out to Teacher John. We got Nikki Keys here. He did a series in Brooklyn on the seven uh seven I ams of Jesus in the Gospel of John. And he made me do one, and I was a young kid. And the one I was given was I am the way, the truth, and the life. And the word there, I studied, I looked into it. The Greek word for I am is an intense Greek word, a very strong Greek word that means this. Me only. That's right. So when Jesus said this, when he spoke, this is what the word meant. I am the only way. I am the only truth. I am the only life. And it's only exclusive to him. Only him. He's the only one who could make that statement. Only him. Praise the Lord.

SPEAKER_03

I didn't know that.

SPEAKER_07

Not the like God's.

SPEAKER_03

He's not a way. He's not one of the ways. He's not a separate route. He's the only.

SPEAKER_07

He's the only way.

SPEAKER_03

The only way.

SPEAKER_07

Only way. Amen. Uh Sonny Meeple, you had a script you wanted to read? Oh, yes, sir. Let's see if we get a mic too.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

God bless you. This is Mila has the same. Come on, Tino Tres. Okay, it's good. That's good. That's good. That's perfect. John chapter 16, verse 33. This is Jesus talking. I have told you all this, so that you may have peace in me. Amen. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows, but take heart because I've overcome the world. Hallelujah. That's simple. Live in Jesus and live in peace. And I mean nothing. Nothing is like the peace of Jesus. Amen.

SPEAKER_07

Very good. Praise the Lord.

SPEAKER_03

Meanwhile, can you read that one more time? It's a part. You know, this is my favorite uh verse.

SPEAKER_07

John This is your favorite verse.

SPEAKER_00

Chapter 16, verse 33. I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows, but take heart, because I have overcome the world. My goodness.

SPEAKER_03

If you're going through anything, it could be whatever. Jesus overcame the world. Amen. He told us this. Why? So we could have peace in Jesus. In any circumstance.

SPEAKER_05

In any circumstance, in any situation, you should have peace because you overcame it already. You overcame it already. And it's not, and this is Vinnie Du's point. He loves saying it. It's not that he he overcame it one time and it's over with. No. The word means it's constantly. He overcomes it continuously. Any problem.

SPEAKER_07

I overcome the world. He's overcome the world. He's still today is overcoming the world. Amen. Uh Tino, you got a scripture?

SPEAKER_01

Yes. Come closer. Yeah, I'll try my best.

SPEAKER_07

Closer, closer.

SPEAKER_01

I have a verse that's really short but really powerful. Come on. Romans chapter 8, verse 11. More in the mics, uh Satino. The Spirit of God who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you. Hallelujah. When you really think about that, the spirit, the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead, he lives inside of us. Why do we walk around defeated if that's the case? See. Why do we walk around like we don't have victory? We have victory and we have victory in Christ. Thank you, Jesus.

SPEAKER_07

Amen. Wow. That's that is life in Christ. Resurrection power. Amen. The disciples, the apostles, should I say, when they was preaching everywhere in the book of Acts, we see miracles, we see life, we see the church growing. We see everything that you want in the church today was going on then. They was the role model church. Why? They preach the resurrected Lord. And Jesus who's alive today, we can live in him because he loves us. Amen. That was my final word.

SPEAKER_05

I think we should all agree on this that a life without Christ is not a life worth living. Every scripture we showed was show you that how a Christian should look like, what a Christian should do, and how it's all made possible. And that's by the Holy Spirit. So today, if you're uh maybe on the fence of maybe taking that step of servanthood, or maybe you've been a servant and you've been backsliding, or maybe you've never, or maybe you're in a good stand with the Lord right now, but you need to be encouraged. Remember, this message is universal. It's for everybody. Amen. The Holy Spirit lives inside of you. The Holy Spirit directs you and guides you. He's giving you a relationship back to the Father, and it's all made possible by the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you, Jesus. So as a Christian, we should not be defeated. We should not have fear. We should not have doubt. That's it. But instead, let's walk in the new life that God has given us.

SPEAKER_07

Praise the Lord. And with that, we're gonna close. Barry, can you pray for this? It's the Friday episode, it's the final episode of the week. So pray for the people as they get ready to go about their day and they get ready for church Sunday.

SPEAKER_02

Amen.

SPEAKER_07

Come on.

SPEAKER_02

Lord, we thank you, Devla, for who you are. Yes, Jesus. Thank you, devil, for the scriptures, devla. We thank you, devil, for everything that we do in our lives. Thank you, Lord. And we thank you, devil, because we learn more and more and more and more about you. Lord, I pray, devla in Jesus' name, Lord, for coming. I pray, devil in Jesus' name, Lord, that you will bless us. I pray, devil, in Jesus' name to all my brothers here, devla. I pray, devil, in Jesus' name, to watch over and protect them, devil. SPEAKER_07

Amen and amen. We love you. We thank God for you. Have a blessed weekend.

SPEAKER_05

Everybody say it. God bless.

SPEAKER_07

God bless. Praise the Lord.
